to "What Would My Kid Do?" the game show where parents
compete against each other to see if they can guess
what their kid buys when we give them 100 bucks
to buy whatever they want at different stores.
It's time to see who can prove that they know their kid the most. ♪ (playful music) ♪ - My name is Bradley Bundlie.
I'm eight years old. - Hi, my name is Jenna Vaughn,
and I'm 10 years old. - (FBE) Why do you
think you're here? - Really, my honest opinion
is I have no idea. - (FBE) I'm gonna give you something
and I want you to just tell me what's in the bag.
- Okay. (gasps)
- Hooray! I got $100. - (FBE) So today,
you get to take that $100 and buy whatever you want
in this store. - Okay!
- This is more than my allowance. - My name's Mike.
I'm Bradley's dad. - ♪ (humming) ♪ - My name is Janet
and I am Jenna's mom. - I think that she would think
about the rest of her family and probably get us
a little something, or at least I would hope. (chuckles) - I feel like I have
an entourage behind me. - (FBE) So this is how it works.
I'm gonna ask you some questions related to what your kid
did in the store with multiple choice answers.
Once you choose, we'll watch the footage
and see if you were right. - I feel like I know
my kid pretty well, but I don't know
about a candy store. We'll see. - It'll be interesting to see
how he reacts. - (FBE) What does Bradley say
when we give him the $100 bill: "You've gotta be kidding me,"
"This is the best day ever," "Is this a prank show or something?"
or he stayed silent with a smile. - Tough, because he'd initially
have his mouth wide open, and then probably say,
"This is the best day ever." So B.
- (gasps) You've gotta be kidding me!
- (Mike) Aw! (chuckles) - A $100 bill!
- (Janet) Aww. - So you got number one wrong.
- Yeah, I got number one wrong, because a bunch of them
could've been totally him. - (FBE) Let's go ahead
and move on to Jenna's. How did Jenna react
when she was given $100? So she opened her mouth,
was frozen with excitement, she doubted it was true
and checked to see if the money was real,
she returned the money, or she jumped up and down
out of sheer joy? - If she returned the money,
she is not my daughter. That is not right. (chuckles) I think that she would have--
open mouth, frozen with excitement. - (FBE) So you're gonna
take that money and buy whatever you want here.
- Really? - Nicely done.
(ding) - (FBE) What did Bradley do
when he saw Giant Krabby Patties gummy candy? Did he take 10?
- (chuckles) - (FBE) Did he take 10
and the box? Did he take one?
Or he didn't take any? - He definitely would know
what they were, and he loves anything
big and gummy like that. But I think he took one.
I think he's probably too frugal to take 10.
- I really like the gummy candies. - (parents laugh)
(buzzer) - Oh. All right. So my kid's
greedier than I thought he was. Oh well. (laughs) - (FBE) All right,
on to Jenna's next question. - All right.
- (FBE) Which Mike & Ike's flavor did Jenna grab: Buttered Popcorn,
Mega-Mix, Cherry Coca-Cola, or Sundae Sweets?
- Let's see. Mike & Ike's... Jenna would probably
get the Cherry Coca-Cola. Come on, baby girl.
Oh! Oh, wait. - (Mike) We don't like that.
- (Jenna) Cherry Coca-Cola! - (Janet) No way! Aw.
Don't put it back. - (Mike) Put it back.
- (Janet) Don't put it back. - (Mike) Put it back.
- These look delicious. - (Janet) Yay! - Note she grabbed just one.
She didn't grab the entire aisle worth.
- Yeah, exactly. - (FBE) What is
Bradley's favorite candy? Is it Hi-Chew?
Is it Everlasting Gobstoppers? Is it Mike & Ike's?
Or is it Whoppers? - Of these, while he would
eat all of them, I'm gonna have to go
with the Everlasting Gobstoppers. He did a Willy Wonka thing
a while ago, and he's been obsessed
with Willy Wonka for a while. - Okay!
- (Mike) Don't pick up Whoppers. Oh, come on!
(buzzer) - Okay.
- (FBE) That's all you're gonna buy? That's your favorite candy?
- Favorite candy. - (Mike) What?!
- (FBE) And you're only gonna buy two? - When did he-- he's never had a Whopper. (laughs)
- (Janet) Come on, exchange 'em. Exchange 'em.
- He was just talking about Everlasting Gobstoppers.
- (Janet) Three of 'em. - I've never... I can honestly say
I've never seen him eat a Whopper. He loves Everlasting Gobstoppers.
- Even on Halloween? - Even at Halloween.
I don't think he's ever had one. - (FBE) Next question,
number three... - Okay.
- (FBE) ...for Jenna. Who did Jenna say she was
going to share the candy with; Her friends, her parents,
her brother... - Oh, hmm.
- (FBE) ...or nobody? - I'd say her brother.
I think Jenna would share it with her brother.
Or I'd like to think that she would share it
with her brother. - I'm probably gonna give
most of this to... nobody!
- (Janet laughs) Aw.
- Good answer. Good answer.
- She's not sharing with anybody. Pretty smart, pretty smart. - (FBE) What item
did Bradley get that wasn't candy
from the candy store? - Huh.
- (FBE) Is it sunglasses, a wallet, a bouncy ball,
or a hat? - I'm gonna go
with the bouncy ball. I'm not remotely confident
about the bouncy ball at this point. - We have this guy,
this smaller guy. Is that all the money?
Maybe, maybe not. - (Mike) Come on.
Oh! (groans) - Rrr!
- (Mike) You can't even open it. Don't get it!
- Why is this a wallet if I can't open it.
- (Mike) Exactly! (chuckles) Well, you know,
I hate to break a trend. I'm nothing if not consistent
for this one. - (FBE) On to the next question. Which two non-candy items
did Jenna buy? - Two, huh?
- You have to get both right. - (FBE) Bouncy ball
and a silly sweatshirt, a stylish purse and sunglasses,
sunglasses and a silly sweatshirt, or a bouncy ball
and a stylish purse? - I would say Jenna would do
sunglasses and a silly sweatshirt, 'cause she has cute purses
at home already. - (Mike) Uh-oh, I see a sweatshirt.
- (Janet) It's looking good! - (Mike) That's not good.
- (Jenna) I want this thingy! - (Mike groans)
- (Janet) All right, sweatshirt. That's good.
- Because it looks cool. These.
- (gasps) No way! I got it right! - (Mike) Oh, sure. Give her the C answers.
- (Janet) Aww. Oh, look how cute she is.
- How do I look? - Yeah, that's adorable.
- (FBE) Three for four. - Wow. I know my kid. - (FBE) Last chance.
- All right. I can do this. - All right. You can do this.
- I can. Thank you! - You've got this.
- (Mike) Wow. - (Bradley) Okay.
- (Janet) Oh my gosh. - I have this,
and I have this. I have this.
Wow, I have a lot of stuff. What am I thinking?
- (Janet) He is so cute. Look at all that stuff. - $158 and 53 cents.
- (Janet) Oh, he went over. - No!
- (FBE) Bradley ended up spending over $150.
Which of these four items did he keep: Whoppers, the wallet,
the green monster plush toy, or cookie dough bites?
- Oh, man. The green monster plush toy
would probably be the most expensive so he probably wouldn't...
I'm gonna stay with C just to see what happens. (laughs)
It'll probably be the wallet. It'll be the wallet. Good, good. One down.
- Smart. There we go. - Okay, fine. I'm gonna say
bye bye to Fluffy. - (Mike) Aww! No!
- Bye, big fluffy doll. - (Mike) Bye, Fluffy.
- Noo. Take away this. - (Mike) And he's gonna
keep the wallet. - (cashier) 35 cents change.
- Yeah! I'm glad I have a wallet.
- All right! Well... again, it's--
- You're consistent. - I am consistent.
- Yes. - I am consistent.
- (FBE) So, fifth question for Jenna. How did Jenna do
in terms of going over or under $100 at checkout:
She was $10 under, she was one $1 under,
she was $1 over, or she was $20 over?
- I think that she would have change and I'm gonna say
she was $10 under. - Dun, dun, dun, it's 99!
- (Janet) Oh, no way. - I'm not over 100!
- (Janet) Wow, a dollar. That was my second guess.
- Yeah, but she went under. That's amazing.
- She was under. - (FBE) Janet, you won.
- I won! Yay, yay! - Interestingly, for each answer,
there was one that always called out to me,
and then there was the one that I kept picking.
And every single time, I should've gone with the one
that called out to me as opposed to the one
that I picked. - I think my score
of three out of five shows that I know her pretty well.
- It is enlightening. It's interesting to see,
and thankfully, I don't feel like it, you know, reflects
on how I know my kid. Everything that he did
was very natural and very sweet for him,
but still, I probably will end up watching him
differently now. ♪ (upbeat music) ♪
(cash register ringing) (cash register whirring and beeping) - (gasps) She got the sweatshirt.
- See? - Wow, that-- yeah.
How many licks is it gonna take to get to the bottom
of that Tootsie pop? - It feels like I'm a grown-up now. - Surely, she got
these two items for me, right? - (FBE) What are you
gonna do with the change? - Probably if I find
somebody homeless, I'm gonna give 'em change.
- The infamous wallet. Cute wallet, though. I get it.
