Building My Dad His Dream Truck 14

here you go go for your first test drive what is up guys welcome back to the channel so today we're going to continue working on the dodge ram 3500 that we're building for our pops and as you've seen in the previous video we started doing some performance mods and some appearance mods to this thing got this sucker tuned with a cold air and an exhaust and i gotta say it runs great as well as it looks great with the leveling kit that we did to it and a few other little knickknacks but we still got a lot more final touches to do and before we hand the keys over to pops we do want to finish this sucker up 100 and the very first thing that we want to start with is actually test fitting the winch inside of this front bumper and if it does fit we're going to go ahead and fully wire it up along with the led light pods and the light bar as well so let's just go ahead pop this sucker off and just get straight to work [Music] no no no no no no all right so we went ahead and put in the winch here and right off the bat what do you say dude it just it just touch and just button up against that don't even sit flat on this part right here so the winch is probably just a little bit too big for this truck yeah we'll probably end up just throwing it on the back of the jeep you know there's a spot for or maybe even too big for the back end you can use this uh probably use it on this truck somehow you know what i mean or on the trailer on the new trailer you want it on your new trailer yo it's not make it over here you put it on because anytime you need if you pulling a car up or something like that heck yeah man so i guess we're just gonna scrap this idea right yep let's go ahead and wire up the light bar and the pod lights and put the bumper back on [Music] so [Music] [Music] they're super bright just the pod lights alone and you also got the drl's on dang son that's definitely going to shine bright at night man dude that is crazy and that looks really good as well it does and as for the led it does have that amber backlight let's just see it's just pretty cool to have i guess it's not as bright as the leds or as the whites but those are pretty neat pretty dang nice yes sir that's probably going to be it for the bumper dude the bumper is probably not going to come off anymore after this dude it's on there for good the next step what do you say we should we do at least like our front end still use our front end yeah let's stick to the front end because we still got to throw on the inner fenders and we actually got this glass scheduled in for around 2 30. yeah so the appointment is at 2 30 so we're gonna have to get that sucker in there on time but for right now we need to actually go ahead and drill out our hole for our antenna because on the newer trucks i think the antenna sits on top on this older one we just need to go ahead and drill a hole out and see if we can get this sucker back in there [Music] [Music] alrighty guys so that is it for the antenna bracket we did have to do a little bit of drilling a little bit of cutting but we managed to get it on and it does look original but we're actually not going to screw on the antenna just yet because we are going to leave it off for the windshield replacement process we just don't want it getting in the way but anyways we are running a little bit late for our appointment so let's just go ahead and head that way all right guys we just stopped at the auto zone we just dropped the truck off to get the windshield changed and we're just looking for some antennas right because we need a new antenna yeah that one is you know we could do the basic one but you know what there's some cooler ones here look at this short one right here what are you gonna get this what is this this is a 50 cal right here dude that's crazy ammo 50 cal i don't know i wonder what pops to think of that dude i might have to just grab this it's the most expensive one 30 almost 30 that's insane this thing better catch reception far away dude with this bullshit miles man this thing can travel miles so well i guess you want to grab this really yeah let's grab it man oh yeah let's grab this and i guess we'll catch you guys at the windshield shop let's do it all righty guys so we are here at the windshield shop and we've got a nice crisp winfield's van that looks absolutely amazing we don't have any windshield wipers and it is raining so we're just gonna have to be real careful but we'll catch you guys back to the house all right so we are back with our new fresh piece of glass out here man it feels good to have a new glass with no cracks in it whatsoever man dude super crispy glass right there oh yeah now we can actually go ahead and start putting together our cow windshield wipers our windshield nozzles and all that good stuff right exactly and those nozzles they are a little bit different from the older hood the older hood they kind of sat on the top now these are going to sit like under the hood so yeah they sit somewhere in there but first let's just go ahead and throw in this 50 cal right here and then we'll pop that hood [Music] [Music] all right so there you have it we went ahead and threw together a whole entire windshield washer system and we went ahead and threw the hood seal or whatever seal that goes around the hood while we're at it now let's test it and see if it works dude you ready for these wipers oh that's not how you do them i don't forgot oh yeah they'll stick that's normal right there well not in your mouth that's not normal but it works great dude it works dude those are powerful they are way powerful and probably the old one because they just shoot right there you know what i mean the old ones actually like shot from the middle of the hood or something like that but we are basically done with the front end under the other than our inner fenders right and the reason why we're not throwing on the inner fenders yet is because we are going to run a couple more wires underneath there yep so you want to do that next right there we got two boxes right there two big boxes i say let's go ahead and turn this puppy around and pop them boxes open two big boxes that make some big noises so yeah definitely let's go ahead throw them on let's do it [Music] bad [Music] all righty guys so what you just seen this unpackaged is actually our train horn from hornblasters and what we got is a conductor special dual tank system as well as the spare tire delete so we're pretty much just going to go ahead and drop that spare tire and just throw it in the back of the bed because honestly this may be more useful than a spare tire because not only is it going to come as a super loud horn like when you need to warn somebody if they pull out in front of you especially when you're hauling a load but also it comes as on-board air which is awesome you got your compressor here you got your extension hose as well as your inflation gun so you could air up some tires or even a beach ball and anything in between really you know hey and pops honestly was talking about using some bags on the back of this truck that way he can air him up whenever he calls a super heavy load and dude you can just air it up with this thing man this is going to be perfect but i mean we got everything that we need we got our super loud horns here all we got to do is just assemble everything onto this bracket hoist it up into the truck wire a few things up and hopefully get this sucker done [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so that sucker is fully assembled and it is hoisted up inside where the tire spare goes i gotta say it's nice and stout ain't it oh yeah that sucker is not going anywhere dude and it looks so good up underneath it looks sweet looks like something crazy but we were thinking about actually facing it forward but but the way we uh had to mount it up there the only way we had to do it is facing backwards which is not a big deal this sucker is so loud you can hear it like three cars or 20 cars ahead of you and 20 cars behind you 360 degrees around you can hear oh yeah also we did have to cut off a bracket right yeah we had to cut off a little bracket where the spare tire actually like locked into but we won't be needing that anymore so we're good to go all we got to do is just run our positive wire to the battery and one to our switch [Music] all right so we finally got everything wired up we did have to run one wire to the battery and one wire to the switch all along the frame rail everything is zip tied all we got to do is put the key into the ignition and hopefully that compressor fires up so let's just go ahead and give it a test man let's do it yes sir now all we gotta do is actually allow it to pump up to 120 psi and then we're going to test the switch and hopefully it honks all right so the compressor just cut off dude are we gonna pull outside are you gonna honk it in here i think i'm just going to blip it real quick all right hold your ears pops oh nothing nothing i guess we got the switch wired up and correctly we may have to switch the wires around there or something careful now let me go ahead and pop it off yeah we're going gonna pop it off and see what's going on hopefully we could quickly resolve this issue man oh definitely man i was scared there for a second man i thought my ears were about to get blown off i wanted to get that little adrenaline rush i know it definitely gives you one in the his garage all right so i think we might have just figured it out we just had to swap one wire go ahead and hit it one time [Music] damn holy it's like 10 times louder in the garage hey that's it don't hit it no more let's let's finish up the rest of this wiring and we'll probably give it a good old hump tomorrow in the morning definitely all right so it is the next day here last night we finished up the rest of our wiring and made sure everything was tucked away nicely and we even added this hose connection right here for this 30 foot hose which this sucker is definitely going to come in handy you can literally walk around the whole entire truck and probably pump up each and every single one of these tires if you needed to oh yeah you can even probably get all the way to the trailer and pump up those tires man or you can just throw a free air sign on the back of this truck man free air free air or 25 75 cent just like a gas station right here yeah we'll put a little slot in there where people just throw some coils in the borders but dude that is awesome we're super happy to have that on pop's truck he could even pump up the air bags if he decides to add those oh yeah definitely but as of right now yesterday we did honk inside of the building now we're gonna honk outside dude this is everybody's alarm clock this morning so go ahead i'm gonna stand about 100 foot back be careful hit it one my time oh my goodness man did they just keep getting louder or something keep getting louder but that's all i want to haunt because people will think we're building some railroad tracks through our village or to our town we're building a dang locomotive out here or something locomotive but that is all right there for that kit if you want one of these kits i'm definitely going to leave their link down below for horn blasters and you and that is our inner fenders we need to secure those suckers for good [Music] all right guys so we finally got both inner fenders in and they are nice and secured however we are missing these screws that run along this fender flare over here because they are some special type of screw which we're probably just gonna order those but for the most part these are not going anywhere because we got a few screws and clips on the inside and we trimmed up right here to match that front bumper and it turned out pretty dang good so we are done with those the next thing that we're going to move on to is actually these pillars on the doors over here as you know we had to remove the wrap to paint these doors the same thing on that side but these uh this old wrap is kind of dingy and fading away and on that side it's actually coming off too so we're just going to go ahead and peel this one off try to get it nice and clean that way we can wrap with our brand new wrap and we're going to go with some high gloss black that way it just matches the windows really good so let's just go ahead take these moldings off and hopefully get this thing wrapped up [Music] foreign [Music] dang son dude that's it right there man that was actually pretty dang easy to do but look how much better it makes it look it looks so much cleaner now it's high gloss black i mean it is super bright so you probably won't be able to really tell but when it gets a little bit darker or shady this will probably look really good you know it's almost going to look like one piece of glass or one big old window so you know that's the goal we're going for but other than that it looks way better than that mat that was on there anyways let's go ahead jump on the other side and try to knock it out as [Music] well [Music] all right so we finally got both sides wrapped and i got to say it turned out absolutely perfect that is almost it for all the final touches all we got to do is actually swap out this good airbag with the blown one in that steering wheel and then once that is done we're probably going to go ahead and give this whole entire truck a full detail inside and out so let's just go ahead throw this sucker in and then we'll move on from there [Music] do [Music] [Music] [Music] all righty guys so there you have it we got this truck fully detailed inside and out dude this thing looks like a brand spanking new truck and honestly we're super happy with how it turned out this thing is finally like 100 complete the only thing that we're missing is we're not missing it but this mirror got damaged while we were pulling it out of the garage but we just couldn't order it in time but we'll definitely slap on a new one here soon dude i can't even believe that we did a full conversion on this thing honestly we thought it was going to be a lot harder but we got it done this this thing started as a a joke mean you were joking around hey we should do the 2020 front end and then we really looked at one and we we thought yeah we seen that it was possible and we did a little bit of research and here it is guys i think this may be the very first dodge ram 3500 conversion from a 2012 to a 2020 which is pretty dang epic and i know a lot of you guys actually don't like this front bumper but you know what this is pop style he really liked this bull bar when i showed him a picture of it you're probably wondering why he likes these things but just take a look at his old truck for instance here this is his old daily driver honestly dude he's been driving this thing for about what 10 15 years over 10 years dude i remember borrowing this thing to go to high school in and i have my fair share of accidents in this thing and you roll it once yeah i rolled this thing one time on the side of a road but it wasn't bad it just kept on ticking man so this thing has been in the family for such a long time this was honestly like a brand new truck when we first got it dude this thing was immaculate this was a beautiful truck but honestly it's still going we were thinking about just picking it up with our forklift and just dropping it i was thinking about getting the military truck and running this thing over what but it's still a decent truck but you know what pops got a way better truck now he can do anything he wants with you know haul dirt haul loads whatever he's got to do man we're going to hand over the keys to him here in a little bit and he's just going to drive away into the sun into the sunset man he's going to love it dude he honestly he hasn't even drove it not one time but just around here exactly so yeah i can't wait to actually let him drive that thing but that's pretty much it man this is probably gonna be the last video of this truck unless you see it in some other videos doing some little things but guys we're just super happy that we were able to share this journey with you guys there you go go for your first test drive very first test drive let's see how it does or this is his very first test drive hopefully he likes it oh he's gonna like it oh man it's never been this clean before what man exactly and it's not gonna stay clean he's probably gonna put
