Why everyone should have CPR training if they can get it.
Quick fact about CPR:
This scenario in the video where they were brought back to life is extremely rare. CPR is done to keep the brain alive, call emergency services right away, they will be more likely to save the person. You are keeping them alive until they arive.
Even if they do get a pulse and start breathing, they will still require medical attention.
Another good one where a Bondi life guard saves a little girl from drowning:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCzvFcjXe_g
Holy crap his ribs gotta be all busted up after that pumping.
"The defib is in the tower, but Dunno can't leave the control post unmanned..."
If only there was someone immediately available who could help... like the cameraman..
Wow.
They say that the guy had been clinically dead for over 4 mins so that would be no oxygen would get to the guys head, right? If thats true, wouldn't he be brain dead now that they resuscitated him? Or am I an idiot and thats what CPR is performed for, to keep the blood moving throughout the body, including the brain.
Put a wooden crown on him, what is dead may never die.
Ah Bondi Rescue and its never ending slew of Asians getting rescued...
I show this video when I teach a CPR class. it is insane how many people don't take it seriously until they see this.,
