- The early bird gets
the breakfast sandwich. - Let's talk about that. (fun theme music) (fire blazing) Good mythical morning. - Fast food joints all across the land have recognized that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so much so that many of them
are serving breakfast all day. - Mhmm.
- But here's the question. The real question is can we identify what breakfast sandwich
comes from what joint? - Because we like to eat
breakfast foods while blindfolded. - It's time for ♫ And I said what about
breakfast sandwich-inies ♫ She said I think I can
guess where they're from - So we will both be tasting sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches in various configurations from the following fast food restaurants McDonald's. - Burger King. - Hardee's/Carl's Jr. - Wendy's. - Jack in the Box. - And Dunkin' Donuts. - [Rhett and Link] Round one. - As you can see, we can't. - All of our sandwiches are
going to be brought to us on the patent pending Breck Deck which is basically just a piece of deck with a breakfast sandwich on it. - Mmm, bring it in. - Now, have you had breakfast sandwiches from all of these establishments? - No, I haven't.
- I definitely have not. - But I was, I was a
chicken champion last time. Chicken genius, so. Chicken sandwich genius. So I'm trying to... Is it in there already? Oh, there it is. Okay. - What kind of bread is that? I'm talking what's in this bread. - A lot of bread. Hmm, right off the bat--
- Spongy. I like it. - Kind of weird. I mean it tastes good. - Did somebody else serve
a sandwich like that? I mean it's good. I'm not complaining about anything but it tasted kind of like, like a kitchen sponge that
had some sausage inside of it. - Yeah, there was a lot of bread. - Wow.
- In that first bite. - More bread than I would expect from the place that I
want to say that this is. But, oh I'm, my confidence is teetering right from the beginning. - Yep, it's good to
teeter before you jump. - [Stevie] Okay, you guys ready? - I guess.
- I guess so. - Oh man. - [Stevie] Three, two, one. - McDonald's?
- Jack in the Box. McDonald's? - It tasted like an Egg McMuffin. - That was a bun. That was like a bona fide hamburger bun. - I'm gonna suck so bad. - I don't know who does that. I thought it maybe was
Carl's Jr. but I don't know. - [Rhett and Link] Round two! - Bring in the next one. - Oh, this has got a, this has got a much more
breakfast-y smell to it. - Mhmm. Oh, got a lot more egg in that one too. - Tastes totally different! - Mhmm, tastes very good. - Wow. - There's cheese on this one. - I'm having to--
- I think. - I'm having to like interpret the sausage, egg, and cheese combination through what I understand about this establishment already. You know what I'm saying? It's like second hand, it's almost like, can you imagine how they would make a sausage, egg, and cheese
sandwich at this place 'cause you haven't had it, 'cause you know how their
chicken sandwich tastes. (crew laughing) - Alright, I think I've got a, I think I've got a good
confident guess on this one. - [Stevie] Okay. Three, two, one. - Wendy's.
- McDonald's. - Really? - That was an Egg McMuffin with sausage, egg, and cheese in it. - [Rhett and Link] Round three! - I'm opening for another
breakfast delivery. - That seemed too, it seemed too big. - There it is. - [Rhett] Oh god. - What is this? - I can't tell what the bread is. This has got some friction in it. - Wow, it's huge! - Oh. Oh. - Mhmm. That is a huge sandwich. Go big or go home. - Oh. (laughing) Okay, that's distinct, man. That's distinct. - That don't stink. That's good man.
- This takes me back. - Mhmm. - I think I've had this one before. - Yup.
- It's been years. - Mhmm. - [Stevie] Okay? - Okay. I got it. - [Stevie] Three, two, one. - [Rhett and Link] Hardee's. - Carl's Jr.
- That's Hardee's. Remember the Skat-Thru that
was attached to the Hardee's and they served hot dogs? - Yeah man, I'd Skat-Through there. My papa would always
take me to the Hardee's. - Yeah. And then they started attaching this this burrito place to 'em. - Green burrito. - We didn't do that. U-uh. - Oh no. - [Rhett and Link] Round four. - Bring in the next one. (crew laughing) Oh yeah. Uh-huh, uh-huh. - This one feels different.
- Mhmm. This is my favorite tasting so far. - Really? - Yeah. Oh yeah. (crew laughing) I love the combination. - It's pretty good but-- - I love the butteriness. - Mmm, thanks for that hint. - Okay. - Alright, I'm ready to guess. - [Stevie] Three, two, one. - Burger King.
- Jack in the Box. 'Cause I know they both have croissants. I think.
- Oh. - And I don't think that is the ubiquitous Burger King croissant. - You might be right, man. You might be right. I don't know. I have no way of knowing
'cause I'm blindfolded. - [Rhett and Link] Round five. - Bring it in. Oh.
- What is... - What?
- Oh. - What's happening? - The cheese has been freed. Oh. - [Link] What the heck? - That's good too. - They've all been good. It's hard to mess up breakfast. - If you screw a breakfast sandwich up, you should be immediately
put out of business. - This is tough. Honestly, I'm not loving this one but I'm not hating it either. It's not messed up. - I feel like I just got a mouth window into this restaurant's menu 'cause again I haven't had this one before but I feel like I know
something about this place. - I haven't had this
one either and I think-- - Based on previous experiences. - Yeah, I feel pretty confident
having never eaten this what it is. - [Stevie] Okay. Three, two, one. - Wendy's.
- Jack in the Box. - Ooh. There is, there is some discrepancy between our answers.
- Yeah we are so, so divergent. Have you seen that? - [Rhett and Link] Round six. - What have I not guessed so far? - How many more are there? - [Stevie] One more. This is the final one
before our franken round. - [Link] Oh, it's already out there? - Oh.
(crew laughing) - I was like patiently waiting. (humming) When's it gonna get here? Oops, there it is.
- Huh. Hmm. - What? - The bread's been out for a while. - Which restaurant likes to leave their bread out for a while? Oh no, that was just our crew. - No, there is one. There's one that, there is one that leaves bread out. In fact I would say-- - Man. - That they're known for
leaving their bread out, if you know what I mean. - I absolutely know I'm nowhere near a clean sweep now that I'm eating this one. - [Stevie] Alright, you want to try it? - Yeah. - [Stevie] Three, two, one. - Dunkin' Donuts.
McDonald's. - Oh, you're right. (laughing) - They left it out with the donuts, man. - I forgot about Dunkin' Donuts. - You think I'm right?
- Yeah. - [Stevie] Guys, I'm gonna give you your standing scores as is before we go on to the franken round. - Okay, gosh. - [Stevie] Rhett, you have two points. - Oh, really? - [Stevie] Link, you have four points. (groaning) - Dang it, man.
- Oh yeah. - [Stevie] But this
next round is worth two. - [Announcer] Breakenstein. - Okay, so two points are up for grabs. If I get it wrong and
you get 'em both right, you can tie me, Rhett. The bread is from one restaurant and the stuff that's being
contained within the bread is from another restaurant. One point apiece. Bring it in. - Oh. - Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. - [Rhett] Okay. - Are you breaking it apart in your mouth? Mine's a little burnt. - Really, huh? I've got a guess. I have zero confidence in the guess but I have a strong guess. - I am 100% confident in both of my answers. - [Stevie] Alright. Why don't we go for the insides first. Three, two, one. - McDonald's.
- Burger King. - [Stevie] Okay. And the outside. Three, two, one. - McDonald's.
- Dunkin' Donuts. (Stevie laughing) - Remove the blindfolds? - [Stevie] Sure. Link, you got both correct. (crew laughing) - How do you know so much about breakfast sandwiches? I thought you said you've never had a Dunkin' Donuts sandwich before? - I haven't. - How do you know what
the outside tastes like? - Sometimes you just know. (crew laughing) - That's amazing. - All right so--
- Wow, Link. You know what, you didn't
get 'em all right but-- - Am I a partial genius? - I'd say you're a academically gifted breakfast student. - Academically gifted
