Bible Study 9-22-21

all right we give god all the praise and all the glory we thank god for getting us tuned in and welcome all those who are tuned in with us at this time to go through the bible study we're starting to genesis 2 and 7 for those who are at home and let's just read these verses now and um it's amazing how god how god wraps up sometimes so many things in one verse just amazing how god can give one verse in the bible and it ties all of the natural world together all of the spirit kingdom of god spirit world and the kingdom of god together ties all of humanity together every facet of our being heaven and earth can be tied together in a verse and the more you dig in that verse you realize only god can say so much in a verse and uh that's why sometimes you have you can take one verse and take a lifetime literally literally a lifetime to research it that's just how deep god is and one of those verses is the verse in genesis 2 and 7. and we have looked at these verses quite a bit over the past and we want to look at again today where the bible says and the lord god formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostril the breath of life and man became a living soul now why i say this verse is so compact and deep and it ties all of humanity the natural world the spirit world together because what you find in this verse is man in his natural form man in his soulish form and man in his spirit form and that's what god made us he made of what body soul and then he made us a spirit and so with the natural body it ties up to this world with the soul it makes us active so we can communicate between god uh and the spirit the spirit is in total control but our soul is what always need healing our souls will always need growing and but that soul is what really cries out to god you know david talks about how his soul long for god and many other scriptures talk about how the soul hunger and thirst for god and so god says in these three verses this one verse let's look at it again and god now takes man from the dust of the ground informed him from dust we were taken right and what happened thus we returned so this physical body is not going to go to heaven right boy going back bike to the ground why it was what taken from the ground the spirit was not taken from the ground where was this where did the spirit come from god what breathed himself into man so the spirit cannot go to the ground it goes back to god or if it's not regenerated and saved yeah it goes to um haiti hell we call it uh the lake of fire but the spirit cannot go back to the earth because it never came from the earth and the soul man be when he breathed into man man became what a living soul now i want y'all really listen to this because i'm going to be teaching it about 40 minutes and you'll get it and man became a living soul so in the one verse he formed man from the dust of the ground so i pinched myself that's that part right and he breathe into me or breathe into man i can't pinch that part but that makes a spirit we are spirit beings all of us are spirits every human being must have a spirit may not be saved but they must have a spirit to live breathed into man nostril that's the spirit and then man became a living soul what is the soul the soul is the mind the will the emotion we are emotional beings we have a will we have a mind of our own to choose to love god to life and death so here's what here's my personality and my emotion i can have a stubborn will i can have a humble will i can have a mind i seek out after god i have a mind that don't want to seek out the god but that's what makes us up that soul now when god formed man he gave up that three-part being in that one verse genesis 2 and 7. if a human being don't know that gonna go through this life totally confused because they don't know who they are how they made up and if they don't know who they are and how they made up they won't even know what to search for now we know again our body only made up of five senses it's dust it just operates the body is the body really is dead all human bodies are dead life is in the body body doesn't bring life man was on the ground from dust right and the body is not alive unless the spirit is in it the spirit don't give the body doesn't give life who gave life god he breathed and man became alive so our bodies cannot live outside of god's spirit save or not save our body cannot live outside of the spirit of god that's why our spirit longs for him longs to praise but our bodies tell our spirit shh ain't let you do nothing but our body what law our spirit what loans to praise him loans to get connected with god it's a spirit that yearns for god because the spirit came from god so i was using sunday and i brought back another roll of paper i brought a thinner roll this time to give you the same scripture okay if we were to hear that scripture god formed man from the dust of the ground right he breathed in the man not for a man became a living soul now i want to use this role different tonight this is man here and that scripture is right here if you look at the paper it's to what the body right the paper represent our bodies it's on the outside if you were to take this paper off you have what the soul you can't see it because the paper had it what covered that while a person can look good on the outside and have a terrible soul amen it looks so look looks so perfect and that's and that's what a lot of people do they work on what outside but if you peel back the layers you can really see a person's soul matter of fact if you stay around person long enough you'll see their soul amen amen you'll see their soul here's the body i love that this fight that here's the body and each year a piece get what what taken away each day each week each hour so here's the body and then this roll will represent the soul and what did god do god now god now has a body and a soul god now has a body but the soul not come alive to god breathing what did god do what what's what would you call the middle the spirit for god what breathe into he what breathing to man now he he's a three-part being now he what spirit body not spirit soul and what body that's what he is but notice sunday i said wow we should be rejoicing and growing in god if we ever get this concept the reason we should be so excited about our lives and growing in god and very few things ought to really really bother us if we really get the concept of this concept and understand this teaching very few things should deeply bother us you know paul talked about being rooted and grounded in god that we may know the death the deepness of god that we may know the width of god love and the height of god love and that we're not easily removed because god love is too wide too high too deep what paul was saying to us if we ever get the concept of spirit soul body very few things will really bother us because when we are feel when we let god breathe into us the inside you ever heard someone say what really matters what's on the inside is that true what really matters what what's on the inside and once we get god on the inside what man should be controlled by listen man should be controlled by what's on the inside of him which is the holy if he's born again the holy what spirit he should be controlled by the holy spirit if he feel and control with by the holy spirit no matter what the soul feels it's not in control no matter cause the soul is what emotions will and mind now if the soul is in control what's going to happen the body going to have problems yeah the body will have a problem see that's why god says if you be led by the spirit you shall not uh you you won't walk out the flesh and he says then walk after the spirit and not after the flesh so what god if we were to get it we would study more oh my god we'll be trying to get so close to god more revelation from god more understanding from god the first thing we would be seeking after every day is give me god give me god give me his word give me more god i want to be so spirit-led that the natural things that happen in the soul in the body don't dictate my behavior it's all like continue to feel yourself because you're never gonna run out like i got it but it's sort of like being renewed day by day about day by day now that's where you find stability in a person and that's where you find people who are all over the place people who are rooted and grounded in god are stable in time of trials and tribulation they are so stable not that they're not going through trial and tribulation but the stability comes from they they are anchored in the lord they are really anchored in the lord now how do you how do you make this happen you make it happen personally first now you do have to get on a good teaching good learning and all that but it become a personal responsibility personal responsibility what did i just say it becomes personal you'd be surprised how many christians really don't spend a lot of time with god each day so they're not taking personal responsibility to fill their spirit with the wisdom and knowledge of god they are not taking personal responsibility don't we get busy don't we get busy with life and sometimes our business where do god where do god fit in our day come on now in most cases where do god fit in our day wherever we can find time to give him and if by chance the day go by a couple days go by we haven't found time well i know you understand god and god has said look i you need me god has said i'm fine i am the spirit it's not that god understand yes he does understand but we're hurting ourselves by not taking personal responsibility to put our priorities straight you don't want to spend no one has to spend all day with god but if you gave god five if we were to give god five quality minutes we would be amazed you know god do speak too meaning that sometimes we have to be quiet we have to be quiet and listen to god so if we were to get this concept then we would personally start saying you know what and you don't listen when people say well i hear what you're saying but pastor i'm just not that good at studying the bible and i'm not that good at all praying i'm not good at a lot of things but we are better than we think because god promised anybody that's seeking we'll find he made that promise he said i'll make sure you get the fine meaning that whatever you're seeking he's going to make sure we get the knowledge if we need the knowledge the information uh the direction whatever we need god said he's not going to leave anybody seeking he don't god doesn't like to leave us just seeking when he see us seeking it's amazing how he said you shall find give us an absolute that if we seek we will is a guarantee we'll find so if someone said well lord i just don't know god said well i don't i don't ask you to know the word i ask you to seek it and if you seek it you'll know it you'll learn it so if become our personal responsibility okay let's say it again it's a what personal responsibility now the only thing that god says about anything beside personal he says i will send you now pastors i will give you and send you pastors after my own heart these pastors will feed you with knowledge and wisdom god said i promise to give you pastors after my heart they are going to be one who feeds you with knowledge and wisdom then after the pastor it become personal now god has given a lot of christians pastors after his own heart that has knowledge and has the wisdom to feed the congregation but they don't what show up okay what percentage of uh christian you think study the word out a hundred percent what how many you think really steady maybe 25 you say one percent i hope it more than one percent it is the most richest powerful connection we can make with our lives and the devil making sure we try not to keep us away from it so it becomes our personal responsibility after after you uh get a pastor god give you a pass out of your heart and you know i think true here's something about when you uh when you when you hear something about now watch this listen god is a spirit that's john 4 24. god is a said with me it's a what here's a spirit god is nothing but a spirit god is a spirit god is a spirit god don't have what we have see what on earth we have three things we have a body we have a soul we have a spirit god doesn't have a physical body he has a spiritual he's all spirit god doesn't have this natural soul where he can get you know depressed he can full of anxieties and worries and all this god doesn't have that soulish realm that we have now god god has understanding knowledge where when we're going through something he can be touched with our infirmity we can pray to him god say i know i can i know you i know what you're going through i can feel you but god doesn't have our emotion aren't you glad you don't have our emotion can you imagine we call god one day he said i'm just going through right now and y'all got to give me a few days to get myself together and i'll get back with you see nothing bothers god so he always have a clear uh spiritual conscience and mind to deal with our issues god has no problem so he can always deal with our problems so let's go back over there again we are three three-part being body soul and spirit god is three part father son holy spirit that's how we are connected in this image three part three parts on earth but two of our parts has is not how god is made up he's he doesn't have this physical body so he don't have to die he don't have to get old he don't have to get sick he don't have to get sleepy he don't have to eat he is all come on church spirit all right so now watch this so when he says this listen carefully i said we are made up of he breathed into us inside of us and and then here's our body heath our soul is our spirit god breathe inside of us now john 4 24 says now god is nothing but a spirit that is the part of us that connects with god they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth all right now watch this this is so important that you understand john 4 24. god is a spirit so the minute i want to worship him or or get connected you and i want to get connected with god please hit me clearly now clearly now god sent into heaven he's all spirit he had given us his spirit when once we're born again we receive the holy spirit which is god himself now this is amazing now i use that roll of paper but i'm going to use look at my body up here i have a body i have a soul i have a spirit because i've been born again now it's amazing that god has given us himself right through the holy spirit if you're born again you have god himself now god says this would this how you talk to me you know and this how sometimes we pray and our prayers unless god is using mercy and being grace graceful toward us we will not connect with god now he can say well you you don't know what you're praying for but i have mercy but how many you want to know when you're praying you're praying efficiently see the affected prayers of the righteous come on say it with me the effective prayers of the righteous prevail it much so it looked like god is saying you could be unaffected ineffective ineffective in your prayer because the affected prayer the the one that affected in prayer he gonna prevail much she's gonna prevail much so suppose i'm not effective you're saying i won't prevail much god said yes but i will be merciful sometime cause you don't know how to pray and i hope you learn how to pray and i hope you learn how to connect with me so i don't have to use my mercy all the time on you and my grace i want you to pray with power and authority and in righteousness so you can come into my present boldly which give me come to my present boldly before the throne of grace and god say now i will hear you so now watch what god said to us he said the effective prayer of the righteous now going to prevail much so now if anybody's going to reach god in prayer now some people they hear this they're all you know they get all you know we get back in ourself we get back in our emotion in our soulless realm and when right when righteous teaching meet tradition there's a battle did y'all just see where i say it what'd i say you been taught right here's my tradition and don't be telling me for 30 years i'd be wrong that's a fight that's a battle called people sometimes when they hear about hear you're saying something that they have not been doing they want to shut down and want to fight like i don't listen the effect watch this watch this about prayer why do you think uh jesus disciple asked him when they teach us how to pray like john even taught his disciples how to pray teach us how to pray so prayer have to be taught the effected prayer have to be taught not just praying in general but the effective prayers of a righteous man prevail much the effect of prayer have to be taught unless it wouldn't be in the bible teach us how to pray like everybody if you ask people do you know how to pray yes i know how to pray then you say okay i'll leave you alone because i know how you answered that you're ready to you're ready to battle you're ready to bump here because you just said it was so defiant yes i know how to pray what kind of question that is all right if god is a spirit which he is they that worship him must worship him only in spirit and in truth so watch this when we pray our bodies and our soul is not what god is listening to or attract god okay watch this watch this watch this some people think if they and every time i say this i try to say with all uh being very cautious as i said because not some people are the effective prayer moved god more than the emotional prayer move god you can be very emotional but not effective amen it's all like i saw a sign this morning about 9-1-1 they said 9-1-1 is here to help you so when you call speak clearly give us your name give us where you are and your address stay calm they'll get a lot faster than you being emotional it's all right to be emotional but be still be effective y'all got it so if god watch this so god is a spirit man i feel like shouting i feel like running and shouting about what i'm going to share with you it's all right to be emotional in prayer because some writer is very emotional i'm not saying not to be emotional but don't think that what moves god by itself you remember when the two blind men were walking behind jesus right and uh they said lord have mercy lord have mercy lord have mercy on us they're very emotional one day did they get their sight no can you imagine two blind men walking behind jesus said what lord have mercy lord have mercy lord have mercy on us but they didn't get their sight when when you said they were very emotional well why didn't they get their sight talked to the church see right it was their soul ish realm and their natural man but they have not been they had not been affected yet they were saying lord have mercy on us now listen very carefully lord have mercy on us lord have mercy on us jesus stops turn around and look at them and he says to them where do y'all want what do you want it like don't you know we're telling you to have what mercy on us how are you gonna ask us your god you ought to know what we want watch this jesus said but tell me what you want then they turn around and say it lord open our eyes that we might see then the lord opened their eyes they became affected precise sufficient hit the nail on the head here's the problem we can't see and lord open our eyes that we might see they begin to connect with him by saying lord you have the power you have the authority if you desire you can open our eyes now they connected someone who has power and authority only god in the spirit can do such a thing and when jesus heard them connecting with effective prayer he opened their eyes now let's say this let's say you go we're going through something and we say this same thing lord plea have mercy he might right because he's a merciful god and he might have mercy and if you have mercy you say ooh i just ask god for mercy and he gave it to me god said okay this time i was merciful but guess what you have not learned how to be effective in your prayer ask what you will whatsoever you whatsoever you ask shall be what given unto you if you say have lord have mercy mercy on what that's why you say what do you want oh our eyes open them up okay well now we're going somewhere because jesus said just the fact that you're walking that's mercy i woke you up in the morning that's mercy y'all he's always merciful and sometimes he may just be merciful because we just are not there spiritually yet and he treats us like newborns who says i'm going to love you through this but he wanted us to get to a point that we understand so watch this since god says we are we are made up of our three part we have this body we have the soul we have the spirit the only part that moves god is amazing is the god inside of us watch this god gave us the holy spirit come on church once we asked right and then god turned around and said with that very holy spirit who who is me myself in you will be the very same thing you connect back to me with so when you talk to me you're using me to talk to me glory be to god god said listen spirit agrees with spirit so we take the holy spirit which is of god and asks him to help us in our weakness and our infirmities because we know not what to pray as romans says as we ought to so the holy spirit who god gave us is the very spirit we takes and say well god i'm going to use your spirit now to connect with you that's when we saw asking things watch this the bible say this we that's we don't know how to pray as we ought to but the spirit of god help us in our infirmities and it goes to god and watch what it says it the spirit go to god and pray the will of god you pray in the spirit you want to think in the spirit you want to you want to make major decisions in the spirit everything you want to do you want to be spirit that's why we ask god when we pray in the spirit and we connect with god what we do watch this you move out your emotions if you pray to god in the spirit the emotion our natural motion has to be put aside okay watch this please get it if you're praying god in the spirit your national emotion your our national our natural emotion cannot play a part of the prayer or the or the prayer being answered from god the motion got to be out of the way okay let me show you what jesus says pray for those who despitefully misuse you those who have said all men are evil against you falsely those who have just done so much hurt to you and jesus said even if they are hungry you are to what feed them so if i'm praying in the spirit and god told me feed somebody who hurt me my emotions don't want to line up with the spirit lord jesus wait a minute so if we pray in the spirit we can't pray in the spirit and with our emotions you all got it our emotion basically saying i'm going to pray but i know what i want to do and i know how i feel so i'm just praying so god would agree with my emotions some of that how we pray god i'm praying so you would agree with me will agree with me so if we pray we got to be led by the spirit has anybody ever prayed to god now listen have you ever remember god said forgive people don't hold the animals in the building this i know they hurt you has anybody ever prayed in the spirit and didn't like what god said to you but you was in the spirit weren't you but when he told you to do what he told you to do or not to do what he told you not to do what came along your flash jumped in there i'll flash jump in like lord yeah yeah ooh i didn't like that answer jesus to go do what i remember the rich young ruler came to jesus and said lord what must i do to inherit the kingdom of god and jesus you know treat your neighbor like yourself and all this and all these other things he's outdone all that but he had a love for his money he loved him money more than he loved god and jesus knew he he told jesus he challenged jesus well what else can i do jesus i'd say what sell all you have and give it to the poor and follow me now that were for that man because he knew what what he loved enough for everybody that for him and the man looked at jesus he said he couldn't do it he walked away he he he asked him in the spirit but when he came back the flesh said no can't do that so how do we worship god in spirit listen church how do we ever get to a point where we worship god in spirit we omit our vulnerability we must always admit our vulnerability to god that's the only way you truly grow in god if if you say lord and god said well lord god said well pray for that person who really hurt you and despised and misused you and if they hungry feed them and and then we come back like lord i was in the spirit then you told me to do that and then we come back and this is how we grow we admit our vulnerability we go before god and we say lord i heard you no denying i heard you but i'm here to let you know i'm just not there god i'm so vulnerable i don't hear what you said and i cannot press my way into doing it and lord i want you you just revealed my faith level you just revealed my spiritual level of spiritual maturity in you and i want to say thank you god thank you for revealing my faith level thank you for revealing my spiritual maturity i want to thank you that you just showed me where i'm at and i was willing to admit i'm too weak right here god but i want to be strong and god said whoa we getting somewhere now oh goodness we get god said we've about to get somewhere because i i got you to a place of revealing to you who you are and you didn't run from it you didn't run from it you know most christians run from things they don't want to change we don't want to change we run from it and god said don't run from it stand here and say god i'm too weak right here but i want to be strong and only you can get me to be in the spirit glory be to god only you can get me walking after the spirit so this is effective prayer you remember the apostle paul said god uh removed the thorn and god said i'm not going to do it i'll give you grace to be efficient so paul says in my weakness i found strength i was strong in my weakness because of the grace of god so when we understand that god is only going to connect to us in spirit and i'm telling you man i'm telling you we start discovering truly and you never have to tell anybody it's good to discover where you really are in god is it good to know where discover where we are and let's quit being hypocritical because this nobody business but you and god and so you don't have to go around and tell somebody where i failed this test no that's between you and god and you got to bring it to a point where lord you are revealing to me who i am because most of us think we're more stronger than we are and have more faith than we do and when god reveal it just say lord i was up here you showed me i'm down here somewhere but i i'm my desire to get where you want me to be amen so that's how we are to uh walk in the lord and in the power of his might so i'll leave by saying this i think my time is spot up i'll leave by saying this that um if you're going to ever pray and and reach the spirit of god the bible said man know the things of man but only the spirit know the things of god in the mind of god it's amazing once you get this if you want to pray the traditional way you can there's nothing wrong with it but you'll just be walking along like this here or doing something around the house and you'll start getting with god in the spirit you may not be on your knees you may be just walking or cleaning or working and all of a sudden you and god is communing like never before it's not that you have to get down on your knees at night you want to find two but god being the spirit is not limited in the morning and at night hallelujah matter of fact he'll start the conversation in the middle of the day anywhere you're just like lord i hear your lord and people say well i i never heard god you heard him a lot of times we all heard him uh and he he's constantly talking he is in the conscience realm he's in our subconscious he and our spiritual consciousness he is always there pulling us toward him and growing us up in him so the effective prayer meaning that when i pray i'm if my eyes may be open lord on my eyes if i if i need my if i need my emotion in check when i pray lord i'm too emotional i'm all over the place with my emotion if i'm weak and vulnerable here i'm going to talk to god about it in the spirit and then i'm going to celebrate him in the spirit i'm going to praise him in the spirit i'm going to worship him in the spirit and all of our weakness and all of our vulnerability we bring all that to god and still worship him and that's why some people don't understand worship watch what the devil and this last thing i was saying get ready for the marriage and relationship class which is going to be awesome um a lot of time people can worship god watch most christians if they sin they draw back from god and they want to go and hide for a few weeks or months and just say i can't go to church right now and say why because there's certain things i'm doing and god said you need to be bring everything you have into worship because don't be like adam high behind the bush god says i already know all that stuff where you where you hiding where you going god said basically come to me and bring all your error all your goodness everything it is go to a place called your secret closet pray to me in secret and i'll bless you openly let's give our god a praise tonight amen praise god and whenever you find any spiritual leader playing with your emotions and not connecting with your spirit either two things going on he's running again he or she running a game or they're not connected themselves and they sincere it's up to you to know the difference listen it's up to you to know what when you're searching for spiritual covering your spirit ought to agree all to agree with the covering that they at least know what they're talking about and they have connected to god and that's universal not just here around the world if i was in africa and i was going to join a church i promise you i'll find a spirit-filled leader in africa anywhere i go because my spirit will touch and agree all right god bless you we're going to be back in a little bit give god a praise it's been an awesome time lord jesus take what we have about 10 minutes all right y'all take your break scratch your leg because we've been about to get into it in 10 minutes amen
