Translated by Souk (@someoneuknow04_ IG) Hey hey everyone! I was too busy to upload last week so I'm uploading this video on time to make up for it hehe :) The weather is till too hot for me to even want to come near an oven :( So I'm going to instruct you on how to make the famous Korean Spicy Mixed Rice It's got all you want, the spiciness, the richness. And most importantly, it's both delicious and nutritious :)) The most important ingredient is, of course, rice. About 1½ bowl of rice is enough The bear pot is irresistably cute so I have no option but to flex :)) Next ingredient is the meat. I'll be using 200g of beef here. You can either mince it or cut it into smaller pieces If you don't like beef, you can switch it with other meat you like Put your cut meat into the kitty bowl and marinate it with 3 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp of sugar- -½ tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tsp of sesame oil Lastly is a dash of pepper to taste. You can put in other spices if you want. I'm making it more closely to the Korean way Now all you need is to mix it all up, wrap it and wait for it to marinate for about 20-30min While waiting, I'll start cutting the vegetables. This part is customizable so go crazy with your ingredients I'll be using 100g of bean sprouts. Wash it and cook it for 30sec in a boiling pot of water and then take it out immediately I'll also be using 100g of spinach. Cut it up so it's easier to eat I'll also be cooking it just like the bean sprouts After that, strain the vegetables a bit to get rid of the water. Now let's start mixing :) I'll put in ½ tsp of soy sauce and ½tsp of sesame oil into both sides And a bit of roasted sesame seeds and then mix it up When you're done, put it aside and continue with the next ingredients I'm using 100g of carrots (about ? of the whole carrot) It doesn't have to be exact. You can eyeball it and spice it to taste I'll cut the carrots into small strips like this so it's easier to eat And then cook it on a pan with a bit of oil Spice it with a bit of salt and pepper. You can use other spices to fit your taste I'm only going to cook it for about 2-3 min since my carrots are cut into small strips. Don't let the carrots be too cooked Next I'll be using 100g of zucchini. Do the same thing with the carrots and you don't have to be so exact like me :)) I'm also cutting it into cute little strips. You know who else is cute? Me :)) Cook it the same way with the carrots but remember that zucchinis cook faster than carrots so only leave it there for 1-2min And then also spice it up with some salt and pepper After that, put it on a plate and then continue Next, I'll be using 100g of shiitake mushrooms. You can use any mushrooms, actually. I just don't like that many mushrooms :)) Stir and stirrrr~ Do the same thing again just like the other, salt and pepper and cook it for 2-3min And you're now done with the vegetables Lastly is the meat we marinated earlier Although the meat has already been marinated, you can put in more spices when it's cooked to taste Beef is quick to cook but it produces alot of water so cook it until the water reduces a bit and the spices corporate well with the meat Now turn off the stove and put the meat aside and start placing it on the table aesthetically to show off your ingredients :)) Open the absolutely adorable bear pot to take your rice out :)) Usually, Koreans would brush on a bit sesame oil on a casserole, put all the ingredients in there and then cook it for about 4-5min more But not everyone has a casserole so I'm gonna make this dish using just a bowl and not cook it anymore The ingredients are still hot and steamy so making it this way is just as good. Just use a normal bowl you use to eat Put the rice into the bowl and then present your vegetables in your own super dramatic and extra ways :))) There's nothing better than a good looking AND delicious dish Now make a sunny side-up egg and place it on there and you're done! You can also crack in a raw egg yolk into there if you like The egg tops off the rice bowl so well :))) This is the definition of perfection :))) Sprinkle a bit of sesame seed on there. You can also put in more sesame oil but I don't like the smell very much :(( It looks so gooddd. The raw egg is there to add more flavor and richness to the rice when mixed For the rice seasoning, I used 3tbsp of Korean chilli sauce Gochujang, 2 tbsp of mayo- -½ tbsp of soy sauce and 1tsp of sugar. You can alter all of this to taste Mix it well and then pour it onto the rice. You shouldn't mix it all in at once so you can stop when it's enough to your taste And then mix it all up. Tadaaaaa! It seriously looks so delicious :( It is actually so good :(( There's a good variety of vegetables and the taste is unarguably so good. It's spicy from the chilli sauce and rich from the egg and mayo The taste of all the ingredients go so well with each other makes eating this never boring I just can't stop eating :))) Don't mind these two, they don't understand the art of taste testing :)) This dish is not for them to enjoy haha You should try making it, there's a reason why it's famous :)) And don't forget to share this video for me and these 2 devils :)) Tysm and bai baiiiiiii~
