Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3) - How to Save Benryn and Resuce the Trapped Man

hey what's up everybody we are back today with another quick Baldur's Gate video this time we're out in joaquin's rest talking about how to save benren I.E rescue the trapped man or whatever the journal entry is however specifically how to do it without blowing anybody up including yourself or setting anyone on fire so what you want to do when you get into the center of town get whoever in your party has the highest strength and break them out so they're not grouped for me it's my fighter and get somebody with a bow it doesn't matter who it is as long as they can shoot a bow that's all you need doesn't want to matter what kind of bow it is as long as it's a ranged weapon grab them and take the person with the bow for me it's my rogue and send them into the bath house and have them go up to the second floor so we'll head up the stairs here and we're gonna stand right about here all right about here all right so stand here don't stand any closer to that doorway please just trust me stick with me you'll see what I'm talking about and why stand here with your bow user and you'll be good now take your strength person whoever can pass a good strength check I think it's like a 10 that you have to roll in order to pass it have him climb up this ladder and then have them jump over here once I get over to this tiled roof area just have them move as far as close to this wall as they can they don't have to be up on the wall but as close as they can be now he's going to try to pass a strength check I've got this Harper amulet so I'm going to cast guidance on him just to help his role when he does his strength check you don't have to do that it's just I'm recording live and not doing a random voice over so who knows what the roles will be like but once you have them up there go back to your bow user and have him or her attack this door now my door only has seven health because I shot it a few times testing how much damage we were doing but if you shoot the door should do three or four points of damage and when you get the door all the way to the bottom where it's like got three or four points of Health left I want you to be ready to switch into turn based mode so as soon as you shoot the door and you break it down switch immediately into turn based mode okay so the screen shook there because there was an explosion when you take down the door which is why I had you stand your bow user way back from the door and stand your strength check person all the way to the right the reason he's standing so close is the fire in this next room starts to spread pretty quickly and if you keep him close in one action he can move into the room and try to lift the boards off benren so we'll have him pop in here he'll do his strength check hopefully this doesn't go wrong hey it's a 16. so he'll lift the boards off benren now we are still in turn based mode and I would recommend you stay in turn based mode until you get back into this other room so as soon as you kind of move whatever movement you have left and then let the environment take their turn benren will be part of the environment and he will run out of the room and be safely away from the fire so you can see the journal gets updated rescue the trapped man he's out of the way now just go back to yourself and make sure you get yourself out of the room and as soon as you're safely out of the room you can get out of turn-based mode talk to him and go about your business with the quest but as you can see the damage that's popping off here the fire is just spreading throughout the room destroying things and eventually it would reach him and kill him and it happens really quick this is why I put us in turn based mode just to get us out of the way and not have anybody as I said get blown up or caught on fire so hopefully that helped you sort it out in your own game if it did I sure would appreciate a like my video or a sub on the channel and as always thanks for watching guys ticker
