me i have kept and none of them is lost but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled and now come out to thee and these things i speak in the world that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves i have given them thy word and the world hath aided them because they are not of the world even as i am not of the world i pray not that thou should take them out of the world but that thou should keep them from the evil they are not of the world even as i am not of the world sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth as thou hast sent me into the world even so have i also sent them now verse 19 will be my sensual verse and i want you to look at it carefully might not be really readily understood but you will after a while what it says and for their sakes i sanctify myself why did that that they also might be sanctified through the truth gracious god lord we commit preaching to you we commit everyone and everything here and now whenever and we're ever moved by your holy spirit and grant that fresh revelation inspiration anointing will flow do your thing we pray in jesus name amen and for their sakes i sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified through the truth jesus did something on our behalf of course he did everything on our behalf but in this particular verse jesus declared to the father in no uncertain way a particular thing that he did on our behalf because of us he said for their sakes because of them i sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified what's the theme that i'll not be able to complete jesus did it all for us the preaching sub-theme is let's do it all for him lift your hand and say lord help me to do it all for thee jesus did it all for us and he has given me this word to challenge the body of christ you and me and all of us saying to us today let's do it all for him you would have noticed already that the easter emphasis would have taken preeminence over first wednesday emphasis based on the message the holy spirit has given to me and i want us to lock into this for this first session for the second session because the lord is saying something to his church what the verse says he did for us sanctified himself now first of all you'd want to think that sanctification should come about as a basis of sins committed but no sin was committed by the savior he knew no sin sanctification the depth of it means to be set apart oh glory god if you get this today brethren you'll get something i set myself apart because of them so that they also might be set apart [Music] jesus did it all for us let us do it all for him let us set ourselves apart completely entirely saw that in in the way that he fulfilled the master father's will it's the very same way the same god almighty where you and i will be able to fulfill his will because without being set apart unless we are set apart until we are set apart we cannot fulfill the perfect will of god somebody say something here jesus [Music] help us lord but help me above all jesus set himself apart i repeat to do god's will and that was to bring about our redemption to bring about our restitution and a restored fellowship with god our makeup we are right in the commencement of amen the time of his great testing is fasting and his prayers as he entered upon especially the garden of gethsemane and when he felt they are gonna pain that would afflict his own body he cried to the father what did he say father if it be possible let this cup pass from me but he did not hesitate to say further nevertheless not as i will but as your willed jesus when he says to us today if any man will come after me let him deny himself let him take up his cross let him follow me when he says he who loves his life shall lose it but he who surrenders his life entirely to me if he loses it here he shall find it there whatever he lose in this world he will gain it much more jesus jesus jesus did it all for us let's do it all for him when we say take my hands take my feet take my voice take my silver take my goal take my will take myself and i will be ever only all for thee let it not be mere words from our lips but let it be the resolve and the conviction of a heart fully persuaded a mind fully made up so when the tempter comes and presents all the glorious things that we really could do held with just remember that he rejected all because he wants us to reject them when the tempter brings them somebody say something there right now in ephesians chapter 2 from verse 11 through 19. i can't go through all of these in depth because i wouldn't get much further in this message but ephesians 2 11 to 19 is a reading text that you must follow up on based on what i have just said so when you look at the verse 19 and all the preceding and the succeeding verses in this priestly prayer you would see how mindful jesus was concerning his brethren his church those who would follow in his steps for their sakes i sanctify myself that they [Music] also might be sanctified to the truth so this sanctification brothers and sisters it means just about everything if we are going to be what god wants us to be in other words when a man takes a wife or woman when a woman takes a man a man takes a woman and selmanize that relationship and you become wife and husband the bible says two have become one flesh it is saying that there should be no third part between there should be no trespassing of one or the other you are saying i have set myself apart exclusively entirely for you in life until we die in good times or in bad times in hot times are down times when it is great and when nothing is happening jesus is here saying father i did all of that because the time when i was hungry i needed bread and the tempter came i could have had the bread i could have made the bread because i needed it but i would have failed god i want you to follow me closely i would have failed so for their sake i suffered hunger don't think i could not do well with the bread 40 days and forty night as a human i was hungry but i said bread would defeat the purpose of god oh glory when i was shown the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them do you not think that i could do well with those stuff i grew up as a carpenter i lived a menial life i walked the dusty road of galilee bethlehem and junior i had no material possession do you not think they appealed to me somehow and i could have responded but for their sakes because of them i said no said no do you not think when i was challenged to demonstrate my power throw yourself down from the mountain god will protect you do you not think i could let the human ego get the better of me and i demonstrated how powerful i am but what if i had done that oh you're not following me what if i had done that i would have aborted the plan i would have defeated the purpose paradise would remain eternally lost and because i knew my purpose as a redeemer the restorer and the one to bring redemption i had to say no to all of those father what are my children saying no unto for my sake god help the congregation and everybody to get this i have said an eternal no to everything that could have benefited me in the natural for their sakes god what do the young girls in church do christian girls when the whole time boyfriend comes and offers them this and that and the other what do they do what do they do what do the young girls and women do when the lesbian women came to come to them and tell them what they can do together what do they do what do the homosexuals do when those men come to them and tell them what they have been doing and what they can what do they do when they pass by [Applause] the lotto gambling place going to hear how much the the prize value today how much million the lotto holds today what do they do when they see understanding in the latter line buying hoping to win what do they do for your sake he said i gave up everything and he's saying please i want you to follow in my steps i did it because of you and he's saying please do it because of me do it because you love me somebody lift your hand and say help me jesus [Music] what do they do when the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life comes steering in their faces what do they do what do the people in church do who are not married or married and single what do they when sexual desire arise so strong within them which is natural to every healthy person what do they do do they say i will understand and go do their thing and then come pray and say lord forgive me do they do [Music] do they do for their sake i sanctify myself i set myself apart so that i would be able to finish the redemptive work you have a work to do you have a mission to accomplish you have something to execute on behalf of the kingdom of god here on earth [Music] but that will never get done in any satisfactory way if you are conformed to the world i beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of god that you present your bodies a living sacrifice [Music] all the unacceptable unto god which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world somebody help me prepare this message through [Music] but it's gonna be hard to get through because i'm digging in some rocky place this morning be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good what is acceptable and what is the perfect will of god sanctification [Music] being set apart set apart even in your very house some vessels are commonly used on a daily basis but there are some other vessels god almighty they are set apart what have you put down those vessels therefore for special occasion so special persons for special celebration somebody praise god don't deal with me [Music] do that if you said to yourself i can't make everything just common in this house every place just come on every is coming every copper is coming oh no if we do that what about the heavenly father you are not among the commoners so do not act commonly you're not among the chief people so do not act cheaply [Applause] you are not among the scum of the earth so don't act like us come look like a school you are the chosen generation the royal priesthood you're the holy nation you are the peculiar people to show for the praises of him who has called us out of darkness nobody praying with me into this marvelous life for their sake i sanctify myself not to be cleansed from sin but to be set apart exclusively for god entirely for god john 17 19 yes the amplified version says for their sake i sanctify myself to do your will so that they also may be sanctified that they may be set apart that they may be dedicated that they may be made holy in your truth these days if you're not careful everyone seem to have their own truth if you're not careful even in the church everyone seem to have their own sets of beliefs guided by their own set of doctrine guided by their own philosophy and their own theology but hear me the church of the living god is guided entirely by genesis 1 to revelation 22 21 we are guided by the word of almighty god hallelujah so i set myself apart so that they might be set apart so that they might be holy so that they might do your will if they follow in my steps if they take me as their example for their sakes because of you have you ever said to any of your children it's because of you i have to do this it's because of you why i do this oh yeah because i love you by god's grace we brought you into this world we have all of your interests at heart so because of you we work the extra hour because of you we make the extra sacrifice because of you we do all of these things because we love you that's what jesus is saying and then he says i want you to reciprocate the same thing the same way i love you and set myself apart because of you is the same way i want you to love me and set yourself apart because of me so when sinners enticed you can't sense thou not when they said to you let's go here and go there and do this and do that according to the word of god i think proverbs 1 when they tell you all of those things don't do not go with them do not cast in your lot among them remember you are set apart for him and him alone somebody lift your hand and say help us lord the contemporary english english version says of john 17 19 i have given myself completely for their sake so that they may belong completely to the truth belong completely to the truth you know when we see what's happening these days on the general trend of society and where the wind seems to be blowing and how many people seem to be drifting with the wind where the current of life is flowing and how many seem to be following i drifted with that current i said dear god you have said in your word and rightly so if you do not shorten the days your flesh shall be saved somebody say help us lord [Music] so for their sakes i have sanctified myself so that they might be sanctified through the truth so the topical word is sanctification sanctify set apart these are not the days when church people naturally gravitate to holiness many persons they got to be prompt they got to be torched they got to be cursed they got to be pushed some got to be dragged and regardless of what method you use some unlike me spirit a donkey spirited monkey not watching a foot make bishops say what he wants to say let pastor say what he wants to say every man must work out your own salvation but how are you working it out are you working it out in line and keeping with the word of god are you working it out with the dictates of society what the world says [Music] are you working it out these days you can't even talk about modest dressing coming to church oh no well i'm going to say something that would hurt me for the rest of my ministry it could hurt me i don't want to say it because the lord wants i'm going to say it it may help somebody one i'm glad we have a large congregation as one and i'm glad i do not personally know everybody secondly because if i had personally known everybody when i meet some of you on the street and pass you and don't greet you because i don't see anything about you being a christian [Music] cannot identify you [Music] because you look like the world you walk like the world you're dressed like the world every god almighty thing about you is of the world excuse me please i know i get in trouble but that's all right so when you recognize that i don't recognize you you get that is unclean all that is impure and i use this word all that is dirty dirty dirty please see with me you didn't wake me up two o'clock with this message the holy spirit did and i'm sure when my wife looked to me in the bed she found out i wasn't there from two o'clock until all morning he said lord i got to get it together dirty there are some dirty things that are happening sexually these days dirty dirty filthy and it should appear as though it is gaining traction in all places of the society you better look at me i'm preaching my heart out to you today i'm saying jesus said i did it because of you set myself apart please do it for me do it for me don't mix up with the filth and the mess and the dirt of this world come on somebody oh god almighty oh so many things are happening so many perfection in the world so many abominable hacks in the world oh boys the little boys and little girls are not free anymore to enjoy their innocence and their youth they are being prayed on by predators you're not saying nothing and it's sad to say that some of the predators are not out there in the wild not out here in the wild somehow right in the home right in the hall [Music] i must say this because nobody knows where this belongs i talk to people all over the world my grandmother came to me sometimes ago hurting hurting grandmother means that she is way over 50. bishop when i was 17 years old i took a piece of rope and tied it to my neck and tied it to the tree but when i jumped down the rope was too tall and i didn't realize it that's why i'm here today to hunt myself so many years ago molested by my father constantly behold bishop abuse abuse abuse abuse pregnant for my father please help me help me help me and i sat there and allowed the poor soul to just unburden yourself years ago but still first i'm saying it to anybody bishop davis and live the tormented life and not only that i got married and my husband turned on our little daughter right in the house and not only that but the grandfather turned upon the little knees again bishop what must we do sometimes you read some things in the paper and you hear to the news you wonder is this a fabrication can anything go like that people are suffering suffering incest bestiality lesbian practices homosexual practices bisexual practices some women of their husband but they have another woman on the side and the sad thing about it people of god it is not that it's only in the world of sinners who know not god where these some of these things are happening some of you sitting here no that your garment is messed up from head to toes you know that you are stained know that you're guilty you know you know you know but because you have given yourself so much to that of those abominations now you have a seared conscience and you don't mean nothing again pastor preach lightning and thunderbolt and fire you don't mean nothing and you will stand in any of these pulpits sit in the squirrel off sit wherever you sit and operate normally what a nosh wins the surface jesus said because of you i set myself apart he did it all for us let's do it for him let's do it for him and the list of atrocities continue so to set oneself apart from all that is common on clean and pure dirty unholy sinful and all that displeases god our maker and that which displeases jesus christ our savior displeases the holy spirit our enabler lift your hand and say we have work to do everybody say it again sometimes ago a particular denomination found that's one of his pastor he's practicing homosexuality pastor pasta so we have homosexual pastors too the denomination took the right decision in suspect without suspending this fellowshipping the pastor now we can't have you in here doing them abominable taking a lead in the church so they disfellowship the pastor the pastor split the church and people in the church gone with him knowing quite well but i don't know wait quite well now can you imagine the operations of that church can you imagine the happenings within the church oh god i have to finish i don't believe it and i don't start yet all that displeases god our maker all that displeases jesus christ our savior all that displeases the holy ghost our enabler let's set ourself apart from it take your time and come out of it take your time and come out of it take your time on extricate yourself all right let me see if i can get something else in so sandification oh is that done bishop how is that done good question how do i set myself apart for him and him alone it is done and can only be done through number one strict observance one complete submission to and daily adherence to the word of god so it's going to be done what the text in verse 17 says john 17 17 sanctify them true thy truth thy word is truth can't be done otherwise it can't be done simply because you'll come to church and lift your hand and worship on praise god it can't be done simply because you're a good tither you're a good offering giver you're a good praise and worship leader you're a good preacher you're a good musician you're a good thing no this kind of sanctification comes about only by strict observance complete submission and daily adherence to the word of truth which is the word of god in other words let the word regulate your life the word regulates your life i'll be sure i'm not take you over like how he took over judas and every money you see you want it even if you are the church accountant and treasure and people who check money and deacons who collect money see it and will take over your heart and you will dip your hand in the offering plate you will dip your honey in the bucket you will steal even in the house of god excuse me everybody give me a chance write in help get things to ship down a tent to your vehicle and those days 50 us dollars was quite a bit she gave me fifty dollars to pass the dearest techniques to help and all i had was my train fare from abusing her you're not serving god in spirit and in truth the bible says your prayers will be ended if you live that way with your wife your prayers will be ended are you not with me i'm closing a lot umbrella they are in a special class by themselves especially those of the whole solar fade some of you curse your brethren and talk into your bridge and then malice your brethren and criticize your bridge and backbite your brethren something wrong with you and you come in the same church where they are lifting up so-called holy hands and praising god when you steam your bridge and you fry your bridge and you saute your bridge and you cook your brethren you lost your breath when you but you still come worshiping with them excuse me you're a hypocrite you are a hypocrite you are a hypocrite your holy spirit will minister to all of us descend in all your glory descending your majesty and your power you did it for us and you're calling upon us to do it for you jesus you set yourself apart for our sakes you could have done otherwise yes you could you were human in the flesh like we are you could have done otherwise but we thank you that you drunk the bitter cup we thank you that you took the nails in your hands and your feet we thank you that you took the spear in your side we thank you that you humbled yourself and became obedient to death even the death of the cross sanctify us lord there is a sanctification lord that the holy spirit does [Music] the holy spirit sanctifies us into the body of christ as we set ourselves apart from that which is common on unclean and unholy and impure god almighty as we hint you upon this lengthened season grant o lord that we will be even more conscious and sober of our walk with you but not just now but always hear our prayers grant these requests peoples at home and the broad oh god minister those who are sick and body you are the healing jesus pour in the oil and the wine and heal them make them whole raise them up to stand that mountain raise them up to walk on their stomaches [Music] make raise them up to be stronger than they could ever be for years for our sakes you did what you did help us to have no reservation to
