It is so great to hear a journalist who actually does research and speaks to somewhat authoritative professionals.

Anywhere else and the liberal slant would be "Military develops more effective baby killing bullet, The .50 AE for the high capacity Glock!"

the army has improved the 556 millimeter round soldiers used in the m16 and for those improvements were made based on comments and concerns from the field based on guidance that was given by a department the army and more importantly based on input from the war fighters out in the field for the last few years we've been developing testing a new round that addressed issues for that we were seeing at close combat but also issues as far as penetration at a distance the reality is is that this is as close as we've come to match grade performance and a general-purpose round soldiers are going to see increase in accuracy in a bulk round after a million rounds of testing the most tested round in arming history the m855a1 enhanced performance round now makes its debut for those who have used it the confidence level is high this round is a consistent performer it at all distances but it really allows for penetration of up to three HS steel at over 300 metres in fact this round will actually outperform against hard targets at distance as compared to our 7.62 all ammunition this round is by far the best general-purpose 556 round we have ever produced water fighters in Afghanistan will be the first to use the enhanced performance round and expectations are also high camp Roper Pentagon channel news
