All I Do is Win | Dr Dharius Daniels | 2019 Direction for Life Conference

I want to jump right into our time together tonight I want I want to read one scripture found in the Gospel of John chapter 16 and I want to read verse 33 John chapter 16 and we're gonna begin reading at verse number 33 is it your customer stand for the reading of the word it is okay yes I don't want to it's not my church please stand listen to the words of Jesus family these things I've spoken unto you that in me you may have peace in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer in RV says take heart I have overcome the world this is the first and the last time I'm going to actually do this tonight but before you take your seats I want you to tell to people around you the topic of tonight's teaching this is our affirmation it is a confession and I do believe it describes an attitudinal adjustment that God wants to make in us tonight and so before you take your seats just shake people to people's hands and tell them all I do is weigh in and tell them that somebody felt that in a spirit that's all I do as we prepare to navigate our way through this narrative tonight I want to communicate a concept that's captured by Christ in John 10:10 same book earlier chapter where Jesus says these words the thief comes to steal kill and destroy I want us to pause for the purpose of reflecting on the dominant description Jesus uses to describe the adversary he calls him a thief are you following me he intentionally emphasizes this aspect of Satan's existence I'm assuming he does so in order for us not to be ignorant of this reality because Paul says if we are ignorant of the devices of Satan he has an advantage over us and so Jesus here seems to be intentional in emphasizing this truth that all of us need to wrap our head around the enemy is a thief he's no ordinary thief he's a subtle thief which means he's like a pick pocket thief he will steal from you and you don't even know you've been robbed until you get to a season where you reach for what you thought you had and realize it's no longer there he's a he's a strategic thief he doesn't just steal anything he steals strategic things he steals primary things because he knows if he steals primary things watch this he doesn't have to steal secondary things he's a stubborn thief whatever he robs us of will never be returned we must go and reclaim it he's not going to bring it back we've got to go and get it back piece of thief who watch what Jesus says comes to steal kill and destroy these are not three different ways of saying the same things these are three different words helping us understand three different modes of operation of the adversary and if believers don't get this we will go through seasons where we survive celebrating and shouting over survival and the enemy is observing our activity saying you shouting over survival but I didn't send that to kill you I sent that to steal he says you survived but something else didn't he's a thief that wants to rob us of essential assets that you and I will need for future seasons and I want to announce for many of us in this place we've got to wrap our head around this reality because the enemy wants to rob us of life as God intended the thief comes to steal kill and destroy but I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly so the question the quintessential question we need to ask and answer is how does he go about accomplishing this intention and I believe one of the ways he goes about accomplishing this intention come here right direction it's through misdirection did you hear what I just said yeah that one of the ways he robs us of the father's original intent for us and time I won't allow me to unpack what all of that means Jesus said you might I come that you might have a life he's saying that to people who are already alive right so we know he's not talking about BIOS he's talking about life as the father intended he's talking about Zoe right the abundant life life as the father intended for us to live it it's level 3 living you can live outside the will of God you can live in a permissive will of God you can live in a prefer will of God that's level 3 and God will let you live on whatever level you settle for so Kaden can be a possibility and you can settle for the wilderness and you can make a state out of what God intended to be a stage because God will allow us to live on whatever level we settle for in life as he intended is level 3 not what he permits but what he prefers y'all follow me here sincere wonder ways he robs us of that is through misdirection hmm and that misdirection for my note-takers comes from misinformation here's a principle whoever has your ear has your future in other words the course and the quality and the condition of our life is not just a reflection of our values it is also a reflection of the voices we've been exposed to the voices we give access to and the ones we choose to listen to what if I told you Adam and Eve loss the level of living that God intended for them because they could not discern not to listen to a snake what if I told you that the Israelites stayed in the wilderness and did not cross over into Canaan in numbers 13 because they listened to the wrong voices when they should have listened to Joshua and Caleb they listened to the other 10 spies what if I told you real boy who succeeded come on Solomon lost the kingdom because he listened to the wrong voices Paul put it this way in first Corinthians 15:33 don't be mislead bad company corrupts good character notice what he says he says don't be misled or don't be deceived right don't miss it why does he say don't be to see because he's saying you can be unconscious of the impact somebody's having on you he says it's possible to be influenced and not even know you're being influenced and I know I know we gotta wrap our heads around this in this generation because we have more access to more information that we've ever had in human history but the increase of options also contributes to the increase of confusion so now there's this plethora of voices that everybody's listening to pointing you in different direction but life as God has intended is in the right direction and there's a way that seems right unto man but in the end is death and destruction that's why you ought to be glad you're in a house like this and be grateful you in a church like this that doesn't more than excite me but a church that informs me because I need revelation for direction for my life because what God has for me is for me don't be to see bad company corrupts good character don't miss this notice he didn't say bad people corrupt good character he's a bad company whoa because a person don't have to be a bad person to be bad company the question is are there good person the question is are they good for you because some of you are in seasons where your elevation is getting ready to produce exposure it's going to expose the emotional health or lack thereof of the people around you because the SOL in one season can handle you as long as you walking around wearing his armor and you still smell like Jesse's sheep but once you defeat Goliath and people started saying Saul has slain his thousands and David has slain his tens of thousands then all of a sudden the one who was celebrating you in one season starts throwing spears at you in another season and you're saying solace change and Saul has not changed Saul just got triggered your success was a trigger for sauce insecurity he wanted you to win but he know you were going win like that and I got a word for all the insecure people in your life if they are upset now they better buckle up because they gonna have a nervous breakdown before the year is over because God is get erratic [Applause] [Music] some people's connection to you is a version of you god is evolving you away from don't be deceived it's bad company well because you can be unconscious of those influences those are voices and it's giving you information but if it's missing information is misdirection and if it's misdirection is ordering your steps in a direction that is the exact opposite of God's best for you because it is direction not intention that determines destination are y'all all right he's getting ready to get worse it's getting ready to get worse because sometimes are y'all sure you ready sometimes the wrong voices are religious voices see I knew I was gonna get that response but I'm alright I said sometimes the wrong voices are religious voices just because the vert the voice is religious does it mean the voice is right just because they put God's name on it does not mean God said it and I want to tell you that in my experience I've seen some of the most self-destructive counterproductive activity be done by people who thought they were following the instruction of somebody that God sent people who had a word deceived I can go out throughout the New Testament improve this this is all this is what Paul was trying to untangle in the book of Galatians these were religious people the Judaizers were religious and they were re-enslave in New Testament believers - all coveting obligations and Paul has to write them and say who B wish you this church mess you up oh my gosh see I'm not huh yeah I need a place that's going to point me in the right direction my gosh and this is the context upon which Jesus within which Jesus is communicated in John 16 and John 16 come on look he's having a conversation see let's not just look at what Jesus said let's look at who he said it to he having a conversation with Jewish believers and he says I know what you heard of Sunday School yes I know what you've heard I know the church colloquialisms and the religious rhetoric that you heard but he said he said but let me tell you what I say right he says is it cuz everything that's said in church and everything I say what kind of conference message is this is it everything that said in church ain't everything I say he says me and Church don't always agree he said he said I say specifically explicitly unequivocally do not judge us right in the Bible in the Greek do not judge in the Hebrew do not judge in Ebonics do not judge do not judge and he says y'all Christians get right in that church and you do the exact opposite y'all do you don't hear me you do the exact opposite of what I told you not to do that ain't me those are your words not mine and if truth my words lead to freedom it means lies lead to bondage key so Jesus comes in and he says I need to make a distinction between your religious experience and truth he said so let me tell you something in this world you will have tribulation he says as long as you have a residence in this world I want you to have a revelation of what you can expect he says in this world this imp is you're living in a watch this in an imperfect world so there's gonna be imperfect people here it is so because we live interdependently we're dependent on one another if someone is imperfect I become blessed by their strengths but I'm also vulnerable to their weaknesses you didn't you're not talking back to me it means now because people are imperfect and I'm a relationship with them it means they can make decisions that not only affect them it affect me every parent said Amen right there so he says you will have tribulation because you're going to be the victim of somebody else's dysfunction I don't hear anybody talking to me you're gonna have tribulation you're gonna deal with insecure and emotionally unhealthy supervisors let me go here you're going to deal with competitive siblings Wow yes yeah yeah you're going to deal with let me see if I can say this territorial and hypersensitive church members [Applause] he says in this world you will have tribulation because you're dealing with imperfect people he says how you gonna deal with tribulation because you imperfect and because you're imperfect you're gonna make imperfect decisions and every decision is pregnant with the potential to produce a season sometimes we make one decision in a moment and it produces a season so if I'm imperfect and I make imperfect decisions sometimes I gotta live through troublesome seasons because of decisions that I made tribulation see we don't deal with this in church because we want to hear I can bind and loose life away and Jesus is trying to several people in reality so that if life happens they have an anchor that is anchored in the ground of truth because I am Telling You the number one of the number one reasons I see people defect from the faith is because they were not properly informed so when life's ring their doorbell they became upset with God because they had an expectation of him that was based on misinformation and they're mad at God and they say I can't believe this happened to me I can't believe this happened to my family and they walk away from the faith mad at God for not keeping promises he didn't make the Holy Ghost is coming to get us tonight I wish I had somebody would just praise God for truth in tonight somebody's getting ready to get free and headed in the right direction [Applause] and they're upset with God and gods like you ain't read job hey I know you're in Chapter four but if you can make it to chapter 42 if you can make it to chapter 42 I'll show you how I'll take what the enemy meant for evil and I'll work it around for your good and I'll give you double for all your trouble so Jesus says now I know what you heard the devil he said let me tell you in this world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer y'all missed that all right he said in other words don't let this information impact your emotions to the degree that you lose heart and you become hopeless mamaan says in the theology of Hope he says he says watch this hopelessness is the premature anticipation of the non fulfillment of the promises of God it is when you prematurely anticipate that God is not gonna fulfill his promises he says be a good cheer he says I'm not telling you this for the purpose of intimidation he says I'm telling you this for the purpose of preparation I'm not telling you this to make you scared I'm not telling you this to get you in fear he says I'm telling you this so that if life happens you won't get in fear be a good cheer I have overcome the world I have already overcome the world I have overcome the world be a good cheer what because I have overcome the world this is what Jesus is trying to do he is trying to expand their understanding of what it means to win did you hear what I just said he's trying to expand their understanding of what it means to win because these were a people who thought the only way that the only way their their faith works worked was it worked to produce avoidance so these Hebrew people right when the plagues were coming through Egypt hmm and that angel of death was coming through God gave Moses instruction they tell the people to take the blood from a lamb put the blood on the doorpost and when I see the blood I'll pass over that house somebody should have thanked them right there cuz you've had some Passover experiences cuz the blood was on your life and there's some stuff that could have hit you that passed over you not because you were put to God but it passed over you because God was good to you somebody ought to thank him for the blood Passover cuz there are some people who did the exact same thing you did and ended up a lot worse off than you did but for some reason God caused it to pass over you that's avoidance that's what they were accustomed to and Jesus is introducing them to another way of winning he's trying to get them to see that avoidance happens but the gospel is not just a gospel of avoidance the gospel is also a gospel of overcoming hey it means that sometimes I go in the fiery furnace the question the question is does the fire rob me of my faith because the Bible says three men were thrown in the fire but never kanessa looked again and he said did we throw three men in the fire they said yes he said well I see four of them watch this walking around loose he said we threw three and bound but I see four of them in there and they were walking around loose is there anybody in here honest enough to say I hadn't avoided every fiery furnace but God kept me free in the fire I made it but I'm free I made it but it's not consuming me I'm in it and you can't even tell that I'm in it I don't even look like what I'm in I don't even smell like smoke because God let me get in it because he intended to jump in it with me I came to tell somebody if God didn't keep you out it's because he intends on getting in somebody oughta praise him right there because if he didn't keep you out he intends forgive me [Applause] yeah that showed me what kind of faith you got so if you avoid like the Passover you win but if you go in the fiery furnace if you go in the lion's den if you have to go through Jericho walls you still win either way all I do [Music] you must not know who I am all I do is win the fire doesn't have the last say the liens then doesn't have the last say the rejection letter doesn't have the last say oh I do is win so if I didn't avoid I'm getting ready to overcome keep on watching me boo because the same God that let me go in the grave on Friday it's the same one that's gonna give me a resurrection on Sunday all I do is win let me hear the winners make some noise tonight all I do is all I do is win win win win win win win Oh see some of you missing what's happening here you're missing an impartation that's taking place you're missing what God's trying to do in this moment because for some people your stagnation is not a result of your actions it's a result of your attitude see there are two animals that the Bible uses to describe the disposition of Jesus and most Christians only operate in one of them that's why they came to fire because the only animal they talk about is the lamb [Applause] they talk about the lamb which is meek and docile and passive come on but that's not the only metaphor that the Bible uses to describe Jesus revelation says he's the lion from the tribe of Judah the lamb was born in a manger but the lion went in the temple and turned over tables the lamb went in the tool but early Sunday morning the lion came out of the grave and causing me here tonight to wake your lion out of hibernation you didn't heal with us it's time to get your lion back because the devil stole it but tonight he's gotta give it back I feel the Holy Ghost is in the room you gotta get it that lion [Applause] he said just a sermon it's an impartation you need heart surgery cuz the devil took it and you don't know you've been robbed you don't even know y'all had that roar the way you used to have that bite better that assertiveness that insatiable appetite that passion their attitude where you sit around the table with the Last Supper and you know Judas gonna betray you and you so confident in your ability to overcome you don't even try to talk them out of it you just look at them and say whatever you do do it quickly cuz it won't stop what God is getting ready to do in my life you don't hear me see people who are obsessed with their Judas's are people who have lost their lion but when you know who you are you'll look at your Judas and you can say you can post all you want and you can tweet all you want you can talk all you want what God has for me you've been robbed so you de met your domesticate it now so even if you got your lion your zoo lion now [Applause] your zoo lion you've you eaten out of people's hands and you don't you don't know what it's like to survive in the wild anymore you've been robbed what took your lion yeah what what season come on what what season you came out of it but you're lying didn't we shall not survive I survived and the Devils like ice in that to kill you steal kill and destroy that went to kill that went to destroys to steal take it from you and you didn't even know what took you see that's what frustrating to devil so much about Joe cuz he kept taking everything that Joe was never given what he wanted did you hear what I just said what he was taking wasn't what he wanted he didn't want job stuff and him and gods conversation he told God what he wanted he said yep you let me bother the stuff he's gonna curse you and die Joe come on he joke that the same said he's not gonna hold fast to his integrity he's gonna curse you and die I'm not even bother this then job's wife happened to make a suggestion using the same words don't judge her now don't judge her she probably had caregivers fatigue [Applause] see so don't judge huh unless you never say it nothing wrong when you tired what what took I got a whole bunch of stuff I'm supposed to talk about um what took what took your line I'm gonna tell y'all all right I got 13 minutes y'all all right for 13 more now I stay in my time for real yeah this not my church this Bishop Church when that clock hits zero I'm sitting now we should be talk about the spirit let me know your excitement led you brother you undisciplined you out of order Bible saying your spirit subject to you the spirit of private subjects of the prophets you know what took your lion a storm a thorn or a cross what you say pastor there's a storm a thorn or cross would you say pastor dares it was either a storm a thorn across what you mean those are the only three categories in the New Testament that you can pull it trials in there they're only three words the New Testament uses as categories for trials they're either a storm a thorn or cross and I got to know the difference because I can't fight each one the same way [Music] paster listen mr. stone a storm is a temporary season of inconvenience that the enemy wants to use I'm a repeater to get us to act impulsively because your reaction to a storm can kill you when the storm came all you do is where the storm can't kill you but you can kill yourself here it is it's a temporary season of inconvenience that the enemy wants to use to get us to act impulsively because one's reaction to a storm can cause one to distrust it can cause one to destroy themselves when the storm can an example that this is in mark 4 right when Jesus tells the disciples get a boat and let's go to the other side so Jesus gets in the boat with the disciples and they obey Him now in an act of obedience they're moving to the other side and the Bible says they run into a storm the wind is blowing water is filling the boat they become overwhelmed with anxiety and they go to Jesus who sleep now this is this is this is this is really really interesting because they run into a storm that's totally different than Jonah's storm Jonas storm is a storm that's a result of disobedience their storm is a storm that's a result of obedience what do you do when you feel like obeying God get you in trouble I know the disciples are like listen Jesus you told us to do this now out of out of out of every anybody being affected by storms we shouldn't be affected by storms Jesus now I don't want anybody to be affected by storm but if somebody's gonna be affected by storms I know some people around town that's not even trying to obey you at least I'm trying to obey you Jesus I hate and I'm just stating I'm trying to obey you and some people need some storms Jesus between me and you and they go and they wake them up and this is what they say do you not care that we are perishing in other words your sleep which means you're inactive so they're associating his activity with his concern they're saying if you care for me the way I believe you care for me you will be working the way I think you should be working and the Bible says Jesus wakes up out of his sleep speaks to the storm and then talks to them and says where's your faith he says I need to speak to this stone but I got to talk to you cuz I'm not worried about the storm that's why I was sleeping I'm worried about what you about to do in response to it did you hear what I just said and for some people it was a storm that took your life you obey God you ran into wind and now you timid to obey audacious instruction maybe maybe it's not a storm maybe it's a thorn in 2nd charisma 12 the Apostle Paul said because of the abundance of revelation that was given to me he said he said I went to 3rd heaven I saw things that no man should see and I heard things that no man can hear I had this abundance of revelation and in response to that he says I was given a thorn in the flesh and he said a messenger of Satan to buff it me he said concerning this thing I saw the Lord three times that it might be removed from me and on the third time the Lord said to me my grace is sufficient watch what he says it's a messenger of Satan that where messenger is Angelo's so it can literally mean evil spirit it can be evil person it could mean evil issue Paul doesn't even tell us what it is he leaves it general so it refers to everybody everybody got some kind of thorn and the Bible says Paul says it was to Buffett me the word Buffett means to strike repeatedly without injury so it's not killing me but it's aggravating me Buffett me you go to work you go home you go to church whoa a thorn is an inconvenience orchestrated by the adversary that's intended to aggravate us to the degree that we abandon our Sinemet it's intended to get us to the point where we say I don't have to take all of this I don't need this but what's scary is the Bible says God told Paul I'm not gonna change that but did Paul say it was a messenger of Satan yep so it's like the devil sinneth God looked at it he liked it so he left it did you hear what I just said the devil sent it God looked at it he liked it so he left it Paul's like I've never been worse and then God looking at Paul II say you never been better Paul said I've never been in this much pain God say you've never been in this much prayer [Applause] cause like I've never been this aggravated gods like but you never been missin on it I like what that thorn is doing at you it's driving you to your knees it's keeping you on your face so I'm gonna give you grace to handle it cuz I like what it's doing in you but some of you don't think your thorn is fair so it's taking your life I'm done sign and number three number three is the cross and the cross is income the inconvenience you choose to endure because you value your calling more than your convenience and your comfort its the inconvenience you choose to endure because you value your calling more than your comfort if any man's gonna follow me let him deny himself take up his cross and follow me is you saying if God's gonna give me in this room I know everybody else sell out to get in there but if my cross is to stay out the room a little longer I'll stay out of the room a little longer because before I violate a godly standard I'll stand on the outside of something that I want before I sell out to get in there cuz I believe when God wants me in the room he'll find a way to get me in there that if they close the door he'll get me in through a window if they closed the window here tear a hole in the roof and drop me down in the roof when God wants to get me there he'll get me there but some of you like Jesus you've grown tired of carrying that cross even Jesus had to have helped carry his it is robbed you you got the gifts but you lost a lion and you got the vision but you lost a lion and you got the plans the only thing missing is the lion cuz you need the lion to overcome when life happens because if not life's gonna distract you from destiny and tonight God sent me to wake your lion up but God won't address what you won't expose you had to put the animal on the altar for fire to consume it he won't fix what you all face and tonight if you lost your or some of you you lost it and you know where where you lost it others you like past dares I've been through so much I don't know if it's a thorn or thorn across I don't know it might be all three but I didn't know something was missing until this word tonight and I need it back I can see this in the text because I lived it my experience became the glasses through which I interpreted this text several years ago I went through a major ministry disappointment took an audacious faith step and life happened turned out to be a blessing in disguise what we thought as a church was the rejection was actually protection and I didn't even know passed I was in Auckland New Zealand and I was doing a conference there and the speaker was this guy from the other speaker was a guy from Guatemala named cash Luna and this brother started speaking and talking and what he had exposed what I didn't have to meet so we were getting ready to plan our Orlando Church several months after that and my pastor called and he was praying for me about this the move and when he got done praying was real quiet and he said what's wrong I said I just realized I would have never prayed that for me what you just pray for me I would have never prayed for me because the disappointment years ago had robbed me of my lion and I didn't even know I had lost my roar and so as I'm sitting it was a night I wasn't speaking I'm sitting in the audience in Auckland New Zealand and this man is speaking and I'm like man I need something and a sermon ain't gonna fix this cuz I'm out here now I'm getting ready to make some moves and I need more than information I need an impartation and I'm sitting in I'm saying god I need this man I'm an exodus man to pray this over me and before that night was over God spoke to him I feel like I'm supposed to pray this off of you and I can't explain it and and I'm a teacher and I thrive on trying to make stuff simple I can't explain it but I got an impartation that night that shifted my disposition I got this unexplainable ability to uniquely believe God in a way I can't explain it gave me my roar back and I'm done my times up zero but before I go I want to have the privilege of doing for you what that man from Guatemala did for me you honest to say I lost my roar and I need it back if you honest enough to come to go there I want you to get as close to this altar tonight as you can cuz God's gonna give you your roar back I lost it pastor I didn't even know the devil took it past I was just trying to survive I'll just I was just trying to get through it it was so hard past that my heart was so broken I was fighting to keep my mind I didn't know if I was gonna survive and I made it through but it took something out of me I'm not the same and it's been so much I want it back I don't know where to get him God who hears the whispers of your heart has heard the cry of your soul and it's going to awaken your lion tonight there's a specific group of people though they need to do something really unique because what some of you went through wasn't life it was people and you will not be able to walk freely into your future until you cut that umbilical cord of your past this is how you always win whatever people break God commits to fix your destiny will never be in the hands of somebody else's dysfunctional I don't care how much time you lost he says enjoy I redeem time I restore years I rebuke that that attitude that disposition the words of the enemy the doctrine of the devil that you're too old that that season has passed you've been tormented by that that you miss your window you miss your time you've been tormented by that and Szalai God shall restore years Bishop said it I accelerate what does that mean it doesn't mean it gives you more time it means he said I'm gonna take the time you got left and what I'm gonna do what I'm doing the time you got left he's gonna make up for all the time you missed so I can open one door before this year is out and it's a door so big it makes up for ten doors you missed over 10 years so you got to release that offense because what they did to you is not gonna stop you do you hear me you got to release that because what they did to you is not gonna stop what people break God commits to fix so for some of you the Holy Spirit is about to help you do something in a moment you can do for years and that is to walk in biblical forgiveness which most Christians don't walk in they call it forgiveness I'm actually a question a woman asks me because in 2015 I went through something that people did I wrestled and wrestled and counselors in Hall and I spent this one weekend with a woman who changed my life and she she's prophetic but she's a heart healer and she said to me I'm an actual question there as I said yes ma'am she said do you accept the blood of Jesus as full and satisfactory payment for what they did to you I said what she said do you accept the blood of Jesus as full and satisfactory payment for what they did to you she said because what they owe you they can never give you back even if they apologize they can't give you the nights of sleep you lost they can't give you the bad days you had they can't give you the opportunities you miss back they can't give you the momentum that costs you she said you got to write it off as bad debt I say you owe me nothing I accept the blood of Jesus as full as satisfactory payment for what you've done for me your debt has been paid in full and she said Darris that is going to be the prerequisite to your healing so I'm getting ready to go don't answer me out loud cuz this is between you and God but do you accept the blood of Jesus as full and satisfactory payment for what they did to you come on release that deliverance and heart healing is happening right now he heals the brokenhearted and he binds up their wounds lift your hands tonight now father I know you can do this you have done this for me now what you've done for me I pray that you do for them heart healer go into the cracks and crevices of their heart pull out every Bitterroot every root of bitterness and malice and anger and unaddressed pain pull it out by the root in the name of Jesus break them free from that stronghold that has held them hostage for years it breaks tonight ho ho oh ho Oh Oh somebody pray in the spirit woof give me a little more brother yes yes yes yes [Music] yes he heals the brokenhearted and he Pines up their woman's strength of God [Music] come on church come on [Music] [Music] who whoo whoa whoa he pulls it up by the root how about name by the root tonight by the root tonight by the route tonight by the route by the root by the route what therapy couldn't do by the route poof glory by the route tonight [Music] now father I pray for divine transfusion a divine transmission an impartation of your strength be strong in the Lord
