Abandoned 18th Century Palace of a Portuguese Viscount | Unreal Discovery!

the act of exploring abandoned places around the world takes us to a reality very different from ours the owner of this place was a very important man in the 18th century the former king of portugal don louise the first gave this man the title of count the people that lived in this place were very well known around the town there was even a chapel attached to the palace and people from the town were free to come there and pray to god inside of the place we found artifacts dating back to the 1800s the 1900s and even the wartimes this place is completely filled with historical history dating back to the former times it's now been abandoned for around 30 years and nobody cares about it anymore in this documentary we're going to take you on a stroll throughout the place and show you what's left behind welcome back everybody to another episode on the bros of dk behind the camera today is my brother jordy come here i will show you for a second you're never in the videos it's with us again and we are exploring a very special place right next to the train tracks beautiful sunny portugal you can see the palm trees over here and we got a palace for you guys today no history gonna find out everything inside of the place a huge big gate over here family armor above it might be from a wealthy portuguese family who left it all behind back in the day and also outside here jordy before we go in this place look at these incredible beautiful portuguese tile they are nice right they're really nice okay let's see it's just open you can just walk right into that courtyard wow look at the facade isn't that just great du sambiesso esta casa it's the house of something that i don't know what that represents wow this place is truly deteriorating this one is locked see a window open over there maybe we can go in through here oh this looks like a huge wine barrel um barn excuse me see the press behind there let me take a look yeah come come over here come over here let's have a look at this that incredible press over there oh yeah there would be lots of fun there these are all holding tanks for wine but i don't think these people were into into large scale wine production this was just a small part of their business otherwise you can build a palace like this it's truly hot over here on portico today 40 degrees centigrade i'm just melting just melting yeah and the front door is probably locked as well yeah oh yes and they even placed oh excuse me jody even place the beam over here family crest above it but the window is open so let's hop in through there let me give you the camera wanna film jordy getting in let's see how he does with a bag on this with the camera bag and everything he just manages to get in what a monkey what a monkey okay look at where we have stranded jordy the entrance hall of the place wow i'm gonna give you back the camera and let's go through it because i'm quite excited to see all the artifacts in here and maybe we can even find out some history about the place so the entrance hall as you can see very portuguese with the walkway on top of it also we see the tile on the wall maybe you see it on that side and over here on the stairway as well yep to the to your right also here down here as well very portuguese tile they had a stove inside of this hallway but to my knowledge that's not sufficient to heat it up right or do you think it can burn really strong i think it was just to keep them warm a little bit warm built-in cabinets very typical for france and italy as well and in portugal they seem to do it from time to time but not as much as in france as in italy some dolls up here wow these are some souvenirs from places they have been to porcelain wow they also got some religious books down here are these religious books i'm not 100 sure oh no this is a translation book from from roman sorry not a translation look i'm wrong it's a religious book first thought it was a translation book a dictionary you call it in english okay wow um i suppose we first see the downstairs and then head up afterwards you're good with that yeah i'm fine with that a bottle of unopened liquor let's go through here oh wow this place is just magnificent have you ever seen a room like this we enter straight into one of the most beautiful urbex rooms abandoned rooms i've ever seen in my life this was the reading room of the family that lived here as you can see thousands of books left behind but also some historical artifacts of the people who lived here as you can see this is outside of the place see with the crust up there yeah this is outside of the place there's a woman holding a child this is an ashtray they place it up here some more pictures this is the same woman as we just saw on the picture the man as well here they are on their wedding day this is also the same woman that i could see it from our face and this was the owner of the place alvarez didn't it says maybe a picture of that child wow just take in this room yeah the chandelier is just magnificent back in the day they would place candles on there but they replaced them with lights and that ceiling you're pointing to it jordy i wanted to point that one out as well see do you remember this from somewhere last time we were in portugal no outside of the building on the gate oh yeah the gates yeah it's the same one as on the gate if i'm right but that's like he told us like then he told us there's they always make these curtains but there's nothing behind it over here there's a door behind it but there's another room which we're going to show in a second it's also spectacular i just got a glimpse of it look at this look at this treasure chest over here wow hand written notes 17 1872's it says on here is an accountancy from the people that lived here wow that's so beautiful more handwritten notes look at that handwriting we don't ride like that anymore today and this book also catches my attention a fully hand written book unbelievable that i'm touching something like this unfortunately i can't read any portuguese but wow place it back how i found it let's go further a trophy of some sort but there's no label on it so we can know what they want you know a little display cabinet those are normal books normal manga or something like that or magazines oh now we enter into the dining room and it looks like it was some sort of christmas when these people left the place yeah yeah they hanged up this decoration here above the table hanging from the chairman leader looks like some sort of a christmas decoration from the day damn so they definitely lift some children in this place you can also see it from the handmade playing house over there look at that this is from the children that lived here or the grandchildren maybe to our grandparents that lived in this space you know what this is jody you know oh wow this is a dusting pan but this fists perfectly in here see that's a very very beautiful design i i would agree i really like this this piece of furniture wow and these are castanedas i think see from the spanish dance you know from the ladies with the dresses they go like this check check check but these are not attached anymore so i can do it excuse me i had to do that wow then this fireplace look at the memories left here look at all those pictures from these people a lot of memories lots and lots of memories of the people that used to live here family pictures here the whole family is together fireplace oh that's jesus that's not jesus i think is there no representation of it no i don't think so christmas definitely christmas when i left that's so sad fireplace tools little broom i love this you see what do you love there's the fence like always yeah and there's an extra additional thing oh yeah and that's completely designed that's lovely to see over here we've got a few more chairs and a cabinet filled with glasses let's take a look at it wow the smell coming from it do you smell that jordi oh yeah it smells like ancient stuff smells like it has been left behind for a very long that it's time like liquor maybe there's liquor down here yeah yeah you're right there's liquor down here oh wow jody has a good nose for some liquor i would say let's go through here let's come in here oh these have been made so beautifully if i was an antique dealer and i would say an abandoned house like this i would get i would go crazy about the antiques that are inside of here i would just yeah i don't want to steal or anything but it would be crazy not to come here with a fan or something and collect all the stuff inside of this place it's just a waste leaving it here but i'm an explorer and i have values but i can understand for somebody yeah that they would collect stuff inside of here and there's even the debate is it stealing if it's from is it from if it's from nobody right a mirror with cold plating on it see what's in here bad liner i'm not gonna open that any further wow but also here those windows see the stone it's very lovely how it's all made yeah you find things out but when you look downstairs on the floor yeah i don't know oh yes you can show it on the camera we can look over here straight into the basement which we are hopefully going to go live you see a light from the basement yeah if i look through this hole i can see wine barrels lots of them so down here is the wine cellar where all the white barrels were stored so it might be that these people wear wine producers look at this hallway that's so incredibly long wow but here we enter into what i believe is a very very basic kitchen for a portuguese house for such a palace but we see it coming back again and again and again and each and every other house and portugal that we explore a very rich house they have very basic kitchens curtain the gas balls down here the boiler and a little oven spice rack down there love this girl it's broken oh yeah that's it it's broken it's ancient that's true that's very cool but another lovely picture of the family these flowers probably the mother picked them from the garden put them in the basket over there they have been left here since she probably passed away here you would come into the house a little whoa full of blankets little chest full of blankets i thought they would store some jackets in here to leave the house or something like that or some umbrellas but blankets a raincoat normal coat from the father to go out and rain some sun hats all basic stuff that you would expect in the house you can go in first charlie also a very basic bathroom though yeah oh what's this made of water replaced the mud with clear energy and then replenish my parsed spirit body and mind in the bot in the water of frog medicine then there's another one yeah there are multiple and there are in english written it don't that doesn't seem like to be from urban urban explorers that have been here because they normally tag stuff they normally just write their name from their instagram or something like that but this might have been an english family or something like that we lived here more christmas decoration here in the hallway so lovely to see all of this a little angel hanging over here oh this probably child mate is in school see this is something you would make in kindergarten right yeah i would make stuff like that when i was younger chandelier oh see one of those other beautiful portuguese benches with divided seats these look like castle keys or palace keys actually would say we are on a palace so these are keys that are appropriate for a place like this meat i think it's for mashing meat or something like that it's not for anything else i think that's the last room from the hallway so i love the door you love this door oh i was thinking what are you doing jody that's a nice door let's close up this section of the house with the upstairs section section i think like that cool let's go further how can this be abandoned just go around this room show the people what we are seeing and chandelier as well above you what i believe is a very very big portuguese family used to live here aunts uncles grandparents children grandchildren all these people used to live in the same room and i think this was one big meeting room or sitting area for them this bench is just insane leather cushioning beautiful design mirror above it wow look at this man he looks like he is in the military or something like that scandal holders are also insane and this would be the bureau from the former owner have a look at what's here on the table this looks like a design of the palace that we are inside right now yeah it looks a little bit like the palace itself wow complete design of this place look at all the artifacts that are left here on the table religious symbols jesus christ let's have a look in the drawers these are to hang up curtains oh my gosh this picture is at least a hundred years old no way this this book underneath here this intrigues me let's have a look at that okay let's take that out oh sorry for hitting the camera but look at this book there's like this mesh on it and completely designed with iron work also quite heavy this page is broken you have to be careful opening it up oh my god this is an old school photo album probably from the family that used to live here wow just have a look at that you can take out these pictures as well and there's writing behind it probably what happened when they took this picture who this person is they can place them back this is so insane a boy and a girl i want to go through a few more pages to just give you a sense of the family that inhabited this place here's this person outside of the property and it's uniform very proud also a little description on the back let's close it up because i just saw that there's also gold plating on the sides here wow it needs to be nicely put back in here let's close it up again wow that's heavy what's in there you think chips this is a box this is pringles full of keys what that's crazy and i did some drawing on this desk as well some measurements stapler this was an important desk i'm for sure wow what do you have no way 1937 berlin crazy that's a german nazi meeting room or something like that a dinner party we have to blur it out so i was looking for hitler but didn't find it this is from ss germany no we can put this in the video jody there's no problem this is back from 1937 wars second world war oh my god that's what gianna just found in the side of this place had these people some involvement with the second world war with nazi germany we will not know that's that's just insane you can go in this room one of the bedrooms we are entering into well the floor is wobbling you feel it beautiful cabinet here see if there are still clothes inside filled with clothes all still left in this place i always like the sound of these closets beautiful bedroom two nightstands marble tops on them you can see a picture from the outside of the place wow you can see how big this property is pictures from the children that used to live here yeah they traveled with the plane back in the day these people were truly rich we were just discussing we still had a book from world war ii maybe these people had to do something with the war maybe they became rich of the war or something like that sometimes people who leave behind houses are also very evil people and they had to flee for something we have a dress a lady of a girl this is probably one of the girls rooms the children's rooms all their clothes are still in here these are not clothes from all the people these are clothes from young are 20 19 15 to 20 years old maybe 30 years old they had to pack everything and run i think this is uh he put water inside you could wash yourself in the morning maybe brush your teeth this is a sink some sort of a sink wow i left this radiator here as well yeah it's very special one right a gold plated and inside of this place here to this side we have another room oh that always scares me we are right next to a big road another two little children rooms yeah a complete family would be in here maybe 20 maybe 30 people look at that ceiling man wow imagine as a child living in this place plastic dolls my little pony mine no it's not my little opponent it's not mine i'm sorry i'm just rambling it's a look-alike thing this is from a child this is a onesie or not it's just from a child pink elephant but like i told you before jodi something happened to these people they had they had to flee for something and i think the war story is right but i can never be sure about that i think it's time to head upstairs because there are way more rooms to cover up there and they are going to be equally spectacular i believe let's go there let's open i closed this myself it's pretty lame but i like the sound of it how cool is this if you have a gate like that in your own house let's open it up let you go first jordy we're gonna go up the stairway to the top floor wow like i told you before it's going to be even more rooms and rooms and rooms with what we're going to find we will not know have you seen this wow that's the top that those are the domes of the palace oh yeah let's go in here i would say let's start off here oh my gosh it's pretty hot on here but these are the dooms of the palace look at this are you okay oh my gosh look at these keys over here that are hanging here oh salamander on the wall going up insane i always like to see the top of these domes and how they are built that's very interesting to me to see all these jerks down here oh and these are trays to put your iron on old school trays to put the iron on so you don't burn the table or the cloth that you're ironing ironing at the moment okay now we have to go back that's more difficult right yeah it's not that easy no moving in here he also has always the backpack with the camera gear on his back so uh it's very difficult to walk in here you can see the door is small it's really small a really very small door here right [Laughter] you should see him going through there you should see him going through there i don't even fetch where but he has his big backpack on where first here yeah let's go now jana is down there exploring is there something to see um yeah a few boxes pictures okay let's let's let's look there's some sort of a storage area that might be used back in the day as a bedroom let's go back here ah dude you're gonna like this jordy i will let you go first because it's very small just go in there first there's a single sewing machine on the ground it's the one on top no showing machine there's a little bit of a storage area for for historical pieces excuses for the clumsiness yeah it's really small it's really small there's a storage area okay i'm like i'm not i can't even look i can look over the door if i want yeah jody is very small but he can't walk through the door crazy look at that toilet but first have to look at that key in the door how big the key is wow this this ski is insanely big and that would be the sink jana says oh my god what happened what a bad let's go further this one seems to be empty what's this a workplace another kitchen seems like sort of kitchen so yeah but there are also lots of tools in here you see there's a saw maybe they had some workers around yeah why not these people were rich and this was the place where the rocks were want to open it that's really cool kelvinaten no food in there anymore yeah very retro refrigerator let's close it up another little storage area oh the stove down here wow look how beautiful that one is and it has this little ah that's maybe to extract some water from it or something like that and i don't know why it would have water inside of it oh be careful in here be really careful i don't think i'm gonna walk here look over there you can see that maybe show the viewers the floor is cracking down and i don't think this floor is stable anymore so i'm not going to risk my life to show you some furniture no okay let's go back yeah because this floor we are working on right now that's from stone concrete concrete excuse me trouble with the camera okay let's go further back in the hallway right now what a magnificent hallway in this chandelier hanging here yeah when you came here in the morning look down on your property okay okay i hope to still find something spectacular in this building look at all these wine jacks are they still full no these are empty that's how you traditionally store wine here in portugal and we're just walking through this room bang my head against the chandelier why would you hang it so low would that be maybe there was a little coffee table underneath here back in the day you are freaking kidding me in good luck oh my gosh there's a freaking shapel in this building no way did you expect this no this i was never going to expect now we're exploring here but it's also such an incredibly beautiful chapel with all this gold plating the angels around it i want to try to get closer to it but let's see how we can do that maybe true here that dangerous floor okay i just said i don't want to do it for some furniture but maybe for a chapel don't see oh look down there all these wine bottles down there but let's focus on the chapel again okay no i'm i'm really not gonna do this let's find another way you will find a way yeah jody and jana were just gonna check if they could try to get into the church don't know how they would do it but let's see i was just taking some pictures did you manage how did she do that [Music] look at the contraption they build here no way it's a unique thing you should come down i'm gonna try how did you guys build this oh my gosh i almost broke my leg but i'm down in the chapel we were in a world at a chapel like this inside of their house royal people millionaires war invaders people would get rich of war i stick to my story guys just look at this altern these beautiful angels above it i filmed churches around the world that are not as beautiful as this one and jana just went up there and i want to try it out as well look this is what you see when you go behind the chapel and when you go behind behind the hunter and see there's some candles here that they lit up you come with me yori i just went there oh you just went there okay fill me just film me from the outside i don't think there's much to see but and then you yeah as you can see and this is the altar in itself isn't that just magnificent okay we'll come back down yes there will be a few benches in here for the family itself they would have their own altar and so they don't have to go to church every other day because these people back in the day prayed each and every day to god the name of christ name is jesus name of maria i don't know it completely but excuse me for that i'm myself and not really that religious i don't practice it and here over here we have one last little room that i don't know the purpose of wow i didn't find a way inside of the basement so
