A Face Full of Easter Eggs & Fun Facts in Miitopia - DPadGamer

welcome back to another installment of wacky fan fiction the game however unlike tomodachi life a game focused on fantasy concepts like owning your own apartment having a social life and so on viewtopia lets you live at the fantasy of going on adventure being a hero and having a bunch of friends in this video we'll look at some easter eggs fun facts and general goofiness in miitopia but released for the 3ds and has now made it onto the nintendo switch along with better graphics and a number of neat new features for example you can now add makeup and wigs to me characters which means the sky is the limit when crafting a me i made very few of the designs used during my playthrough so while you will find my own access key with all those memes in the description i'll also try to include as many from the original creators as possible that said while in the makeup menus you'll notice that it has some nice music any detail that's easily overlooked is that every new type of makeup adds new elements to the music here's each type of makeup and it's musical edition [Music] do and then finally this is what it sounds like when you're all glammed up [Music] as for the wig section the music has two variations with and without the cowlick [Music] [Applause] [Music] another brand new feature is none other than the horse it was hyped up in the trailers and thankfully a horse is given to you and your team very early on i decided to design him to have a very demonic looking vibe and his name is invincible the horse is great because it allows for new options in combat depending on the relationship level a party member can hop onto the horse's back for a powerful mounted attack or even a multi-target snort blast and the actual things they could do is much beyond that but you get the idea that said quick detail when designing your horse you get to pick the face shape body shape colors main and so on however you can't change the saddle at first but you can down the road if you go back and customize the horse through the pause menu so that's something you might have missed [Music] on the topic of equipment customization armors from what i understand in the original 3ds version when a me got a new armor you had to either wear it or not you could then go into the menu and change appearances to go over your new stats now you don't gotta do that you can simply choose to just equip the stats or the piece making fashion souls that much easier also a fair warning you can also choose to not wear a headpiece unless you are the tank class they literally cannot take off their helmet so keep that in mind when either picking or designing your tanks me also the tanks tin shell and platinum shell have grinning faces drawn onto the tips much like mario's bonsai bills and there's also the mages star wand which is a spitting image of kirby's star rod though it has blue stripes instead of pink that said there's a lot of great looking pieces of armor robes vestments and so on the only intentionally awful armor available to every job is the polka dot set you gross lame land not really okay the actual worst one is the ragged set which has the worst stats and can only be found in the game's roulette minigame they're good for challenge runs and completionists but not much else oh and on the topic of garments you may know that the nintendo fan that you can see throughout the game will give you costumes if you show them certain amiibos and game tickets for all others the only amiibo that don't actually work are amiibo cards and the delicious amiibo embedded in the super mario cereal boxes also tanks can't wear amiibo costumes come on why you got to keep doing this to us when it comes to getting stronger and increasing stats one way is to stuff all types of grub down your knees sometimes oddly discerning gullets most are pretty straightforward like cake sandwich dragon fruit that last one is really good in real life a few are notable like the pixel grubs on top of looking out of place amongst the rest of the grub the one star pixel grubs description reads roast griffin that special 8-bit taste from her childhood which is interesting because older games especially castlevania which this might be referencing had a very weird fixation on hiding cooked food inside the walls also the art cookie and order resemble the mona lisa mount fuji and lady with an irmine which the noble lady enemy is also based on on that topic there's a few painting-based monsters dancing guide is also based on the mona lisa the celebrity takes after fine wind clear morning and traveler's friend is otani onigiri also the retroputer enemy found later in the game is based on a famicom controller while the retro pewter 2 is based on the double screen game and watch likely the donkey kong one though the color is orange instead of red but it's close enough also quick aside the twerkies are a cram against humanity yet another new feature introduced in the switch version is outings outings are trips where two party members or a horse and a party member can be sent out to spend some quality time together each outing costs a single outing ticket which can be attained from daily letters story progression or the roulette outings are great for raising the relationship between two specific party members at will and it's also pretty fun to see what they go do at the start they can visit a cafe the cinema fishing spot the library seaside with eight more location slash activities being unlocked as you progress through the game on top of increasing relationships when me's go out on outings it's possible for them to bring back grub as a souvenir maybe an item get into battle for extra xp slash money they're really worth doing they're not unlike the dreams in tomodachi life just way more useful and a bit less weird and also i don't know of any specific references or any really rare events so i'll show you a couple of the ones that i think are really fun [Music] so we're at the point where i should give a spoiler warning for the rest of video so go play the game if you want or continue with the video regardless it's up to you so throughout the game your main character gets 9 new friends that eventually form one big roster until the post game you can't add new me at will but once you unlock the villa you can either way at the villa you have the ability to delete me's which unfortunately doesn't result in any creepy animations that i could turn into jump scares but still i think it's funny that you can't delete your main character because according to the game you can't ditch yourself you need you that said here's a fun little nugget of information shared by little nugget a viewer who commented this on one of my community posts so amy's voice is affected by both their personality and their gender personality can also affect their lines in certain outings and events even neater than that is the title screen music it takes whatever means you have in the in and uses their voice for the singing swapping between various characters if you have more than one in there [Music] to go along with this it's pretty cool that the title screen will actually change its background and theme to match whichever area you save and quit in as such you can hear multiple types of fun me singing though the other world sounds a bit ominous and creepy [Music] this is by no means an unknown for those who play actively into the post game but on the off chance that someone doesn't know i'll bring it up so near the end game you unlock the traveler's hub and shortly after beating the darker lord and entering the post game if you keep an eye out for the me with a vampire attack do their mission you can actually get the bat charm that unlocks the vampire job i of course made a mead design after dio brando from jojo siwa's bizarre adventure he looks awesome as for the elf class it can be unlocked by battling your way through the uncharted galados a area of the uh eastern part of galados isle it's a bit harder but i was able to do it with uh close to level 30 characters it might be doable slightly before then but they're pretty tough either way once i could i made an elf character named lego lass i thought i was being clever but i think i was just sort of running out of energy to care [Applause] when it comes to racking up damage the horse really helps but there is more to the horse of course when you reach relationship level 15 with the horse you can use a move called horse whispering this is a very powerful move that uses all of your mp but it can only be used by the main player character while not on auto battle and its actual effects changes based on the job of said player character as such i had to cycle in all the jobs for me pad which is why the apparent effectiveness of the following attacks vary either way enjoy this montage and then feel free to argue in the comments below why
