place in this nation on tuesday morning september 11 will go down in our history as a day to remember but today we especially come together in this service to confess our need of god always needed god from the very beginning of this nation but today we need him especially we've seen so much on our television on our heard on our radio stories that bring tears to our eyes and make us all feel a sense of anger but god can be trusted even when life seems at its darkest difficult as it may be for us to see right now this event can give a message of hope [Music] one of the things we desperately need is a spiritual renewal in this country we need a spiritual revival in america and god has told us in his word time after time that we're to repent of our sins and we're turned to him and he will bless us in a new way [Music] and in the words of that familiar hymn it says fear not i am with thee will be not dismayed for i am thy god and will give thee aid i'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee to stand upon my righteous omnipotent hand my prayer today is that we will feel the loving arms of god wrapped around us and will know in our hearts that he will never forsake us as we trust in him well as a nation 20 years ago if you remember people ran to churches tuesday at the time our little church sat we had a thousand seats in the warehouse building down the road and thousands of people showed up without internet announcements without apps to broadcast they just came and prayed and we didn't know what was gonna transpire but a time for some months all the churches across america were filled and it appeared for a moment that america was seeking god god gave us a warning 20 years ago and uh yesterday september 11th came upon us in a completely different mood it was a time that we would always remember we knew that it was a time that changed america forever but something did happen on that day things had been going on previously to that day but evil was manifested on that day there had been previous attempts there had been attacks against the twin towers previously if you remember 1993 and other attempts but for 20 years as a nation god in his mercy waited for the church to turn to him and waited and waited but if you look at the history of the church in america over the last 20 years she didn't obey the church departed from scripture more and more the church departed from the reality the church somehow chose to seek approval rather than speak truth and we were visited in the last few weeks uh with a a change in how to mitigate this this death cult i don't know how many of you have ever studied islam it's not easy but you have to understand that the islamic understanding of conquering the world for allah is not generational they plot and plan by centuries they do it in hundred year increments and our first war that the united states ever embarked upon an international war is still going on today when thomas jefferson launched the first attack in the mediterranean against the muslims who had taken captive u.s citizens on the high seas and sold them into slavery and we've been at war with that geo theocratic cult and so the the container that held it down uh was removed in january and a different approach of surrender was employed and now it has cost thousands of lives and i know that many of you you take issue with some of the things i say [Music] but i i love you but listen when i when i told you last week that you need to go to certain news sources to watch what's really happening many of you wrote me notes and you said this that's a bunch of baloney there's no such things happening and i checked nbc news and i checked cnn and i checked fox news and i checked i checked the news and it's not happening and you know what it's just part actually of the battle you don't you cannot get your news here anymore but but listen september 11th yesterday was celebrated all around all around the world in muslim communities candies and presents not presents but candies and celebrations were communicated one to another in the deep in the defeat of the united states it took us 20 years to lose that war blood and treasure make no mistake about it america changed 20 years ago and yesterday the way islam thinks america changed again we just haven't realized it yet because the day of september 11th is a day that they must honor they must honor because they have sought to reclaim it and they have the gates of vienna austria the christian forces were rallied by the king of poland in 1683 and defeated the islamic forces that were in austria invading to establish the caliphate in the world austria 1683 the king of poland rallied christian forces to defeat the invaders and on that day of defeat islam suffered an embarrassing defeat and guess what date it was it was september 11 16 83. and so america is a different america yet again we are reminded and so it just it's it's a heavy thing and so but it doesn't have to be regarding the realm of the spirit thank god listen thank god that the lord yahweh is the lord that allah is not a god allah is invented yahweh is the lord church this coming friday september 17th one of the 13 marines that were killed in kabul will return home and that will be lance corporal kareem nicori and his casket will be arriving at ontario airport at about 12 noon military flight and then once his body arrives there will be a procession to norco where his family resides where he lived and so we're being asked if we would honor him and bless his family by lining the overpasses on the streets where the procession will take place along the 15 freeway overpasses at 6th street east of the 15 and on california avenue north of 6-3 you know those overpasses if you don't know them get to know them show up and show up listen show up with flags show up show up with red white and blue show up with statements that jesus saves it's going to be on the news so grab grab something and put jesus christ as lord jesus says america pray you know something make a statement but if you enjoy your freedoms today this is one young man who by the way his family uh if i remember right they're from assyrian descent ancient people uh they came to this country for freedom the least we can do is stand in honor of his sacrifice so we encourage you to do that and so um listen today we've had a tremendous prophecy anybody anybody here still from the prophecy conference raise your hands a couple of you several of you it's been amazing we were blessed yesterday with special guests arrived i i actually have had the opportunity to be with uh michelle bachman in many occasions we've spoken together i i serve at the family research council in washington dc where she's the chairman of the board and uh so she she wanted to come to the conference she showed up and we surprised she got up she said i don't have a ticket i said uh just i think uh i think you are the ticket and and so uh i yielded uh my teaching slot to michelle bachmann and and she brought it if you were here you heard her but uh to put a capstone is a man here this morning who has in a major way shaped my understanding of bible prophecy i have been spoiled in my life to have been taught and pastored by chuck smith and men like dr john wolvrid and tim lahaye poured into my life but no one has done more outside of pastor chuck and dr hawking to pour into my life on bible prophecy than a man who if i were to read his bio uh we'd be out of time we would just have to go into second service uh but the man holds several doctorates um overwhelmingly prolific is an understatement of his authorship of books anything you can buy by professor by dr ed heinsohn will be money well spent it's been a while since he's been here church you're about to be blown away give a warm welcome to my friend dr ed heinsohn thank you jack wow good morning bless you all thank you there's a saying that people sometimes use there's no place any place like this place uh only at chino hills is the house packed at 7 15 in the morning so uh god bless you for coming for being here and uh we're gonna have a wonderful time uh together this morning i'm gonna speak to you in a few moments uh on the topic of my newest book future glory of seven prophetic promises that god has made for every believer if you know jesus as your savior there are many things god has promised to all of us but these seven are essential about our heavenly destiny now i realize that sometimes when we study the details of bible prophecy some people say well some of this is kind of bad news well it's only bad news if you're lost uh if you're a believer it's all what good news uh jesus is coming uh it's not only about what is coming it's all about who is coming uh he is coming and uh he needs to be coming for you uh etc so it's a joy to be with you love being with jack uh jan and all the others that were here this weekend pouring into you what a wonderful season of ministry this has been here at calvary chapel god's hand is on this place god's hand is on jack at this season of his life god has raised him up as a voice to america and i want to thank you for sharing him with the rest of us as his messages go out all over the world two things that most of you know i'm involved in the teacher on the king is coming have lots of stuff on that available for download etc type it in go there check it out etc 20 years ago yesterday on september 11 2001 i had flown to san bernardino actually ontario was staying at the hilton hotel in san bernardino right on i-10 and i was going to tape my first shows that day for the king is coming and they were going to try me out to see if i would be the speaker to replace david breese who had passed away and i got up that morning and turned on the news and wow i i was like god was saying this is a very important time at for the next several years i really want you to throw yourself into this and that was the beginning on that very day we're now on on daystar uh sunday night in california nine o'clock in fact um topics i'm going to go through this morning quickly i'm dealing with in length in the next several weeks on the king is coming telecast day star 9 o'clock and then as you know i teach at liberty university in virginia fully accredited school 15 000 residential students we have a record freshman enrollment of almost 5 000 freshmen this fall on campus and over a hundred thousand online so if you want to study a bachelor's master's even some doctoral programs you can go to liberty.edu type it in all that information will come up and you can get a fully accredited degree in all kinds of areas now we also have a law school and a medical school that you cannot do online you probably don't want to go to a doctor that got an online degree but be that as it may everything else is fully available there i brought two things with me that will be available in the courtyard afterwards my brand new book future glory the seven promises that god gives to every one of us in relation to heaven this is the good news part of prophecy these are all the wonderful things that god has prepared for everyone that knows him the scripture says eye has not seen ear has not heard the things that god has prepared for those that love him so if you know the lord and love the lord god's made some amazing preparations for your future and i'll talk to you about it uh this morning and then the second book uh is exploring bible prophecy from genesis to revelation tim lay and i co-edited it and it's ever a commentary on every prophetic passage in the entire bible so that you can study every prophetic passage those that have already been fulfilled being fulfilled or will be fulfilled in the future the two books are 15 each or you can get them both for 20 uh my grandson and his fiancee will be out there at the book table if you're broke just tell them i'm broke work me a deal uh they'll work with you etc they're going to get married in a few months so they understand what it means to be broke uh whatever now as we get started this morning i want to remind us uh that bible prophecy is not written to scare us it's written to prepare us it's not written to frighten us it's written to invite us come to christ while there's hope while there's time it's a message of hope that god reaches out to the world to give the opportunity of salvation and transformation now i've been in the ministry now for over 50 years i've been trying to help people know how to go to heaven for 50 years and believe it or not most people actually want to go the problem here in america is they're not in a hurry to get there ah they're like yeah someday uh there's the house at the beach and uh there's the boat in the other car and uh the place in the mountains and out in the desert and what all and i'm living in california it's kind of like paradise already except for the politics uh and uh uh um so god leaves enough trouble here to remind you this is not the final destination uh etc so you know we have to remind ourselves that we have to refocus and recalibrate often that the real destiny is heaven and the real destiny is eternal seven things at least that god promises to every one of you if you know the lord as your savior these things are in your future destiny promise number one is the promise of the rapture of the believers dead or alive you and i are going up in the clouds to meet the lord in the air if you have your bible with you this morning take it and turn to first thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13. first thessalonians 4 13. less than 20 years after the death and resurrection of jesus paul had already met the risen christ on the road to damascus his life had been changed and transformed he goes all over the world preaching the gospel on his second missionary journey he went to the town of thessalonica in greece it's still there today and when he arrived there were no believers he preached the gospel people were saved a church was planted he taught them basic bible doctrine and he only stayed three weeks and he left and some months later apparently the church members were concerned somebody passed away he taught him the lord was coming so they said well did the guy that died missed the second coming and paul's response was no no not at all the promise of the coming of christ is not only for we who are alive and remain but for the dead in christ as well most of you know this passage it's one of many that teaches the bible doctrine and the rapture brothers we don't want you to be ignorant about those that have fallen asleep and death don't grieve like the rest of men who have no hope now when a believer dies of course we grieve of course we miss them but it's not without hope because we know absent from the body you're present with the lord that we will see them again and be with them again but for the unbeliever there's no hope beyond the grave i'm amazed how many times i'm watching somebody being interviewed on television who doesn't believe in god they don't believe in the bible so they don't believe in eternal life they don't believe in heaven but their mother brother sister died and they'll say something goofy like i know they're up there looking down uh no if you're a pure secularist they're not up there but they're not looking down they're in the box pal they're dead as a doornail they're not looking at anything yeah it's over it's non-existence it's our evolution what are you doing you're eliminating me natural selection etc but for the believer that's not the case we know death is not the end so we do not grieve without hope why because if we believe jesus died and he rose again well how did he rise literally bodily physically he did not just ooze out of the grave he got up and walked out he said to the disciples afterwards touch me and see that i'm real because we know heroes from the dead so he says according to the lord's own word we tell you that we are still alive and remain under the coming of the lord will not proceed those that are fallen asleep for the lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of god and the dead in christ will rise first why because they're at least six feet under or more now think of that for 21 centuries people have put their faith in jesus as their personal savior for 21 centuries they have believed that he really was the sinless son of god that when he went to the cross he could pay for our sins because he knew no sin therefore he was made sin for us he bore the wrath of god against our sin on the cross people ask me all the time why do guys like you and jack and david jeremiah and jack graham and charles stanley and chuck swindoll and all these guys why do you all believe the rapture has to take place before the time of tribulation because the time of tribulation is the wrath of the lamb it's the wrath of god on an unsafe society the believer may be the object of the wrath of satan and we often are or the object of the wrath of men but you're not the object of the wrath of god if you know jesus as your savior he took the wrath of god in your place he died for your sins he rose from the dead to give you the gift of eternal life we sing a song years ago jesus paid it how much all all to him i owe the payment was complete and for 21 centuries believers have died gone on to heaven bodies in the dust and ashes of time but the promise in this passage is that spirit is coming back with the lord to resurrect that body and be reunited with it the dead in christ will rise first after that we who are still alive and remain will be caught up and if you have never marked that in your bible you might circle the words caught up that's how the rapture term is translated in most bibles we which are alive and remain shall be caught up critics of the rapture will often say well the word rapture is not in the bible look in the concordance you can't find the word rapture in the bible to which my response is you can't find the word bible in the bible uh either the idea is there but the word's not there in english the word trinity is not in the bible but christians believe in the triunity of father son and holy spirit with coequal attributes of deity the word sunday's not in the bible the word the lord's day is in the bible jesus rose on the first day of the week on a sunday on sunday we have resurrection celebration every sunday uh in anticipation of the fact that he's coming again to raise the dead and rapture the living the biblical term in the greek new testament is the word harpazzo that's what paul wrote it in originally to the thessalonians it means caught away snatched away taken quickly instantly from one place to another a modern english translation might be zap we're out of here to the glory of god you get the idea the passage makes it clear there has to be a rapture there has to be a time the dead are raised and the living are caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the lord therefore encourage or comfort one another with these words some years ago i was attending a service in a church where a friend of mine was the pastor but he didn't believe there would be a pre-tribulational rapture and the problem is a lot of people who don't believe in a pre-tribulational rapture will go around saying things like there's never going to be a rapture now there has to be a rapture the debate is timing it's either got to be before the tribulation during the tribulation after the tribulation before the millennium after the millennium there's no tribulation there's no millennium then you've got to put it at the end of time you have to put it somewhere so he preached all sermon against the rapture in my honor and the closing statement of the sermon was and so we see there never will be a rapture all we have to look forward to is trouble trouble and more trouble and his own congregation moaned out loud people just went now if you can get presbyterians to moan you've hit them real hard i was tempted to stand up in the back and shout wherefore comfort one another with those words but i didn't i was polite i talked to him after the service and i said wilson wait a minute man i know you're a millennial but even you believe there has to be a time the dead are raised at the end of time and the living at that moment are caught up i guess so so there has to be a rapture you and i simply differ on the timing so when people try to tell you i don't believe in rapture rapture is not in the bible oh no the concept is very clear in the bible and there has to be a rapture there has to be a time the dead are raised and the living are caught up that means for you and me dead or alive the hope of the rapture is in our future god is going to send the son to go get the bride why promise number two to take the bride home to the father's house on the last night before jesus went to the cross after he had celebrated the last supper with the disciples and judas the unbeliever the betrayer had left the room in john 14 jesus turned to the 11 believing disciples and said i'm about to return to the father's house to prepare a place for you and if i go and prepare a place for you i will come again and receive you unto myself take you back to be with me take you where i am going he promises to return for the believers to take them home to the father's house now sometimes people will ask me well if i die and my spirit went to heaven isn't that good enough according to the bible no your spirit is alive in christ at the moment you're born again but you're a disembodied spirit unless your body is resurrected and reunited with your spirit that in the resurrection you get your body back a glorified hopefully younger version of it etc but you're still going to be you in eternity when moses and elijah appeared on the mount of transfiguration with jesus the disciples said to moses and elijah uh i don't think that we're wearing name tags i think they could identify them immediately etc so jesus is coming back six times in john 14 he'll use the pronoun you i'm coming for you you believers the promise of the rapture is only for the believer not the unbeliever again critics of the rapture will say you guys are teaching a secret rapture no it's not going to be a secret if millions of people suddenly disappear i don't think it'll be a secret now i do think a lot of the people left behind will be deceived into thinking it's something else uh you know aliens got em laser beam zapped em fema can't find them uh whatever i don't know but the secret is the message to the believer when the lord appeared to paul on the road to damascus only paul saw the vision only paul heard jesus speaking the people with him knew something was happening but they didn't hear the message when the rapture occurs and the trumpet sounds and the bride is taken home to heaven jesus said my sheep know my voice and they hear me and when he speaks we're on our way to the father's house now it's long been recognized that the whole idea of taking the bride to the father's house follows the pattern of a typical jewish wedding back in the first century the process went something like this initially the bride and groom would be betrothed to each other by their parents it would be a serious binding ceremony my grandson's 26 he's here helping me today and his fiancee is with him and they just got engaged like two weeks ago uh so they've just started this process and everybody in each family's very very happy uh you know when your kids are young you're like you don't need a date you don't need a date after they're about 25 you're like would you like to meet him et cetera all right i get that [Laughter] from the betrothal the groom would then leave the bride at her father's house he would return to his father's house that's what jesus is talking about here the groom goes to the father's house to add a room onto the house to prepare a place for the bride well that's the terminology jesus is using in this passage i'm going to prepare a place for you and when he finishes preparing the room then the father authorizes the son to return for the bride that's why jesus says only the father knows the time of the rapture now again i've been in the ministry for 50 years i've heard every crazy speculation every date you could imagine jesus said nobody knows the day or the hour of my coming people say well it doesn't say the year no the point of the passage is nobody knows the time so don't waste your time trying to guess the time be ready all the time because jesus could come at time well taught people yeah so in the meantime the bride was to remain ready because he could show up potentially at any time to say the place is prepared he'd return for the bride and then take the bride to the father's house the whole teaching in this passage follows that same pattern now think of this for a moment if the lord could speak the world into existence in six days and it's as beautiful as it is even under the curse of sin think of what the father's house must be like he has been preparing a place for you for nearly two thousand years now it'll be beyond imagination number three why do we have to go up in the rapture first because we're headed to the judgment seat of christ to receive our rewards first corinthians 5 10 the apostle paul said for we must all appear before the judgment seat of christ so that each may be repaid for those things that were done in the body now we're saved by grace through faith it's not of works unless any man should boast it's the grace of god and our response of faith but that same passage in ephesians 2 says but we are saved and created in christ unto good works that the works are the fruit of your salvation not the root of it not the cause of it they're the result of the transformation of being born again and that we are to produce fruit to the glory of god now jesus himself said the fruit will vary some will produce fruit 30-fold some 60-fold some 100-fold but he gave nobody the option of being a true believer with no fruit no fruit means no life why did he curse the victory with no fruit because it was a symbol of being dead uh the idea is you're spiritually dead even if you appear to be alive if there's no fruitfulness at all there has to be something to indicate a real relationship with the god of heaven and at that judgment seat we receive the crowns the rewards one of those crowns is a crown of righteousness for all those that love jesus appearing my view of jesus and the bible in the future ought to cause me to love his appearing to anticipate it to look forward to it etc and it's at that moment god who has kept the record of your life as a believer you're not saved by those works but on the basis of your service you will be rewarded those of you that have been teachers and singers and ministry people teachers of children or teenagers especially teenagers and those of you that i have worked on the parking lot made the coffee brought the donuts to your sunday school class whatever whatever over all these years god is keeping the record book and rewards us for our faithful service to him i didn't have the privilege of growing up in a christian home i was born in detroit michigan in a non-believing family my parents were 8th grade dropouts my dad was a truck driver sincere hard-working but he didn't know anything about god neither did my mother she too had dropped out at the ninth grade so she only made it to the eighth grade they didn't have god they didn't have a bible they didn't have a church they didn't know anything so how did you come to know the lord a church a lot like this built a new building not far from our home sent out a flyer advertising daily vacation bible school for children my mother got the flyer and said oh it's five days a week i could get him out of the house for five days that'd be great here take the flyer go down the street several blocks you get to the corner make sure the light's green don't get hit by a car you'll be fine she sent me she didn't even take me i mean that was the 1950s kids were tough parents were even tougher i got there and for the first time in my life i heard jesus loves me he died for my sins he rose from the dead for me he's willing to forgive me and give me the gift of eternal life i can have a home in heaven forever and it's free i recognized a good deal i raised my hand there was an invitation i said yes i'm ready to respond to that fortunately the lady that dealt with me mrs johnson was very very thorough she sat me down and let me know kid we're not talking about santa claus here we're talking about a lifelong commitment to jesus christ the sinless son of god as your lord and savior are you really ready to make that kind of a decision and god moved in my heart now i realize not every child profession is the real thing but many of them are and i responded and said yes prayed to receive christ that day and i went home knowing i've been saved and i've been born again my parents didn't have a clue what that meant years later they did come to faith god stepped into our family and did tremendous things so i understand the power of the grace of god the power of life transformation the power also of people that minister to others and share the gospel you see when i read about rewards in scripture i realize any rewards i ever get for serving the lord mrs johnson will share in all of that because she led me to the lord she loved a kid who had no chance otherwise and i can't wait for that day she had no clue he'll teach over a hundred thousand students he'll travel all over the world and speak one day it doesn't matter who the convert is or what they do it's what you and i do in being faithful and god keeps the record book and you will be rewarded for your service unto him remember jesus said to the disciples i don't care if you've left houses and land and everything to follow me you will be rewarded a hundred times over god is keeping the record book we have to go up in the rapture because the judgment seat of christ clearly takes place in heaven then promise it's called the bema seat the tribunal where you receive those rewards and then promise number four we're headed to a marriage the bible calls it the marriage or wedding of the lamb jesus is pictured symbolically in the book of revelation 28 times as the lamb of god why because there had to be a lamb without blemish on the altar of sacrifice one of the challenges in both the jewish faith and the islamic faith is part of the argument over who ends up on the altar with abraham is it isaac or is it ishmael technically neither one of them can save your soul because neither one of them were sinless that's why there had to be a lamb provided even in both stories because the lamb had to be the substitute but the problem with the substitute is it could only die for your sins once so the lamb had to be sacrificed again and again and again and again and again and in islam at eid which they just celebrated they literally sacrifice thousands of lambs christians understand we don't have to do that anymore jesus went to the cross and even the koran says he was sinless and died in our place for our sins now they don't believe he made the atonement for us but it's obvious you have to have a sinless substitute and the only sinless person who ever lived and died for your sins and rose from the dead is jesus christ he's the lamb of god who takes away the sin of the world our faith and trust is in him that's why he's called the lamb throughout the book of revelation we're headed up in the rapture to the father's house to the judgment seat of christ to the marriage of the lamb revelation 19 7 for the wedding or marriage of the lamb has come and his bride has made herself ready now throughout the new testament who's the bride of christ the church you are as a believer yes it's a symbolic term and it's a symbolic marriage of our union with christ but it's promised to every single believer now notice something the wedding garment is described as fine linen bright and clean take your bible and turn to revelation chapter 19. uh go to verse 7 and 8. revelation 19 verses 7 and then verse 8. the chapter opens with four hallelujahs of praise it's the climax of the book of revelation verse 7 says let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory for the wedding of the lamb has come and his bride has made herself ready now notice this fine linen bright and clean was given to her to wear for the fine linen represents the righteousness of the saints where do we get that as a free gift from christ the new testament makes it clear that in salvation we're not only forgiven of our sins that would leave us blank we're given the gift of the righteousness of christ our school year just started three weeks ago until last friday my 450 students in my old testament class are academically innocent they don't have any grades uh they don't have an f they don't have an a on anything uh they haven't passed the course yet they're just innocent friday they took their first grades uh and their first quiz and some of them got an a and some of them got an f uh whatever now i'm a fairly merciful grading professor uh i could go back and say my goodness look at your grades you've got all fs i tell you what i forgive you we'll wipe out all your fs what does that leave you with nothing you're blank you still haven't passed the course you've got to earn a thousand points to pass the course you don't have any um but if i said i'll not only wipe out all your f's i'll give you an a plus that would be grace undeserved mercy and favor now we're a fully accredited academic institution so i'm not allowed to do that i can't do that but god looked at you and me in all of our sin and said i'll put all of that on my son i'll put him to death in your place i'll let the sinless one die for your sins and rise from the dead to offer you righteousness and the gift of eternal life and at the wedding ceremony we receive the robe of righteousness why is that important number five because you're going to wear that robe at the triumphal return when jesus comes for the believers that's in the clouds to meet the lord in the air that's before the time of judgment on the earth when we come back with him in the return to reign and rule that's at the end of the time of tribulation and revelation 19 the climax of the chapter starts in verse 11 i saw heaven standing open a writer appears on a white horse who's called faithful and true and then he goes on to say about him he has a name written that no one knows but he himself the secret unspoken name of god and he's dressed in a robe dipped in blood and his name is called the word of god john wrote revelation he wrote the gospel of john his favorite term for jesus in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god etc then look at verse 14. this is your future destiny i'd circle the verse i'd underline it i'd draw an arrow pointing to it the armies of heaven were following him riding on white horses dressed in what fine linen white and claim where did they get that at the marriage you have to go up in the rapture to go to the father's house to go to the judgment seat of christ to go to the marriage to be prepared to come back with jesus in the triumphal return sometimes people will say you guys are believing the rapture you're just escapists you just want to get out of here no we actually believe we're coming back uh to reign and rule with jesus yes angels will attend him in his return but so will the believers that's part of your future destiny as a believer we return with him to the battle of armageddon you read the whole chapter jesus comes this time not as the lamb but as king of kings and lord of lords uh he conquers the beast and the false prophet they're cast alive into the lake of fire satan is bound in the abyss for a thousand years and he reigns on earth on david's throne in jerusalem for a thousand years and we in glorified resurrected raptured bodies will reign and rule with him you say we're going to come back for a thousand years what are we going to do here for a thousand years you could start by straightening out the traffic in this town there's a lot of good things you could do think of it this way if jesus is really here in person as the bible predicts every school will be a christian school every hospital will be a christian hospital the truth of god will permeate all of society but then the reminder at the end of chapter 20 is as wonderful as the millennial kingdom is and the millennial reign is it's not the end we live and reign with christ those that are resurrected those that are raptured for a thousand years revelation 20 verses one to six but at the end of the thousand years then everything is merged into number seven the eternal city the final stage revelation 21 says i saw a new heaven and a new earth the holy city the new jerusalem coming down out of heaven suspended between heaven and earth for all eternity it's the city of god the eternal city the bible describes it in my book i go into all the details 1500 miles square in every direction 1500 miles high it's a gigantic cube with multiplied hundreds of millions of believers of the entire family of god from every people tongue and nation through all of church history all of the family of god together in the eternal city forever and ever and ever and those are those wonderful heart-moving verses at the very end of revelation it tells us in that eternal city some things will not be there no more death no more mourning no more crying no more pain no more curse of sin that's been removed no more night all tears will be wiped away you'll be living in a glorified body forever and ever and ever as god intended for us in the initial act of creation that he has prepared eternity in our hearts so that we're never satisfied with anything less than that which is eternal it doesn't matter how long you live on earth it always feels like it's not long enough that there's an eternal destiny for every single believer that awaits us in the future and the negative things the evil things touched by sin are not there locked out they're all kinds of people excluded cowards who never would come to faith and trust jesus in spite of the pressures they felt from an ungodly society unbelievers will not be there this is not everybody gets another chance maybe in hell they'll get saved they haven't for thousands of years the abominable will not be there murderers the immoral sorcerers idolaters liars oh man what a list now can you be saved from any one of those sins yes can you persist in those sins unrepentant and unbelieving no why will god not let unbelievers in heaven first of all because then it wouldn't be heaven secondly they wouldn't be happy you're going to let hitler into heaven he'll kill all the jews you know let stalin into heaven and kill all the christians uh you're gonna let every cult and religion in the world in heaven uh they will not bow the need of jesus christ no only the born-again are going to see the father's face in heaven for all eternity there are many unique features these chapters tell us that they're in heaven we'll see his face which is an idiom in the ancient world for have a personal audience with the king god and the lamb are the temple of the eternal city the glory of god is the light of the place that outshines the sun the gates are never closed the believers have access on a regular basis and we are there in sinless glorification forever and ever and ever now in the meantime god gives us little glimpses of heaven here on earth christian fellowship is one of those glimpses uh once i became a believer and i discovered real christian people who'd really been born again my goodness what a wonderful bunch of people ah totally different than my relatives uh my mother would say well your aunt and uncle are coming over i'd like oh no not them uh everybody'll get drunk there'll be a fight and the cops will come ah this is not gonna end well when you discover the fellowship of real believers it's the most wonderful thing this side of heaven that's why real christians of any racial social ethnic group converted out of whatever kind of a background have an immediate bond because jesus and you and jesus in them immediately connects my one of my granddaughters spent i can't go into a lot of details uh nine months in iraq this year uh and they saw a hundred people uh come to faith it's amazing and she also saw the challenges the difficulties the problems etc god is working all over the world and we don't even realize it doing amazing things but as good as this is this is not heaven as wonderful as this church is this is one of the greatest churches in all of america uh and uh got one of the greatest pastors in all of america but you could still get run over by believers on the parking lot trying to get out of here in heaven nobody's in a hurry no jealousy no competition no selfishness everybody brothers and sisters in the family of god serving the lord in the vast eternal universe he has created forever and ever and ever seven things that are your destiny if you know the lord the rapture the trip to the father's house the judgment seat of christ the marriage of the lamb the triumphal return with jesus the millennial reign and the eternal city jesus is coming again to give to the believers all of those things jesus is coming the question is is he coming for you and you have to be the one to answer that question and the answer of faith needs to be a very enthusiastic what yes not i hope so the bible says these things are written that you might know that you believe you can know it not i'm doing the best i can that won't get the job done god did the best he could when he sent the sinless savior to the cross to die for your sins nothing will improve on what jesus did and if you've never come to that point of real faith in trusting him as your personal savior the invitation of scripture is pretty direct that whosoever will call on the lord will be saved whoever will call in the name of the lord will be saved jesus said whoever puts their faith in me i will give them eternal life but you have to pray you have to call preachers can't pray you into heaven it's your decision it's your relationship with jesus you have to be the one to say this is it for me and if you've never done that on this weekend of the 20th anniversary of 9 11 when a lot of people did get saved back then and as jack shared with us people began to lose their focus after a while god allows enough trouble to come into our lives to remind us he alone is the answer to the world's problems jesus is the answer he needs to be your answer let us pray almighty god king of the universe our heavenly father lord i pray that first of all you might comfort and challenge every believer here today that we would be filled with worship to overflowing to say thank you thank you thank you you died in my place you rose from the dead for me you've offered your sinless self and body and blood as a sacrifice and atonement for my sins thank you that i came to faith that day and said yes to you and go back and praise him again today if you've never come to that point and god's tugging at your heart today could i encourage you let this be the day of september 12th uh the new start for your entire life like it was for me so many years ago to take a moment and bow your head and in the quiet of your own heart pray george jesus i repent of my sins i repent of trying to get to heaven on my own i repent of forgetting about you and i want to by faith trust you as my personal savior today i'm asking you to forgive me to save me to come into my heart and life and change me to the glory of god pray that by faith pray it in jesus name pray it with the confidence of an amen god will hear and god will answer and while we're waiting in prayer for a moment with our heads bowed i realized i'm a guest today but if you're making that choice today i would love to just know it and rejoice in my own heart if you've prayed to trust the lord today would you just slip your hand up just for a second let me see it god bless you yes yes yes yes god bless you that's me god bless you nail that down september 12 20 21 that's the day i said yes to christ and i meant it with all of my heart god bless each of you go and live it to the glory of god thank you god bless you i love it love it oh my goodness let's all stand if you would and if you prayed that prayer after this song the door to your left up front we have a bible we have new believers material for you and we are here for you we want you to read the scripture and as you're reading the bible that goes for all of us when you're reading the scripture uh and you don't you come across something you don't understand do not call us i'm a big fan of what i'm about to say don't call us mark the scripture write it down on a notebook you have questions about this chapter this verse and then you pray a week maybe two weeks see how god will answer you personally if you don't think you've got an answer or you'd like to get encouragement about the answer you think you got then call us isn't it wonderful though to be able to tell you that because our god is alive and he speaks and he's he's real so we want to encourage you so church family um please be in prayer this this day and monday and tuesday um remember someone is going to run your life and your children's lives and you look you know you look at what's being said on the on tv and and what's being the commercials and the line [Music] i have i have to be a i have to stick to being a pastor and keep some of these things you know but when barack obama gets on tv here in california and and bashes a man that i know and you're going to know more about him after september 14th i'll tell you more it really challenges my self-control if you have not yet voted you you need to vote and now because it's so late when you do vote you need to hand carry now don't mail it hand carry your ballot to the uh ballot location because after today we won't be able to have them here they will be here legally they will be here until i think two or three o'clock today is it two o'clock today but um please and i want to thank all of you i've had a couple opportunities this weekend to speak with newsweek magazine they were calling and they're asking hey we've heard we've heard about your church really she didn't say messing things up because i have to be careful she used a different term and no no in a good way and i don't want to get her in trouble because i i i wound up liking liking her and it was great but she said you're your church we're doing it we're going to do a report you're you're the church that you passed you guys really shook it up last week with ab455 we heard so you guys know the author the author pulled the bill and then remember they came out with ab1102 right after and um [Music] you guys uh i'm so grateful to you because you you know you got one victory and the tendency to pull back and rest after a victory is very dangerous when you win then it's scary because you have a tendency to relax you didn't do that you this last week on ab 1102 regarding the vaccine passports you were so vocal that the author uh pulled it the second author pulled the second bill so newsweek yeah this is how america works by the way this is how our constitution works so so you made the news and you're gonna it's good i think the story comes out today or tomorrow i'm not sure i have to find out but um they also wanted to know about uh the church in california making such an impact in recent politics in california so please be in prayer because uh we want a pro-life we want a pro-life governor for once in california father we praise you we thank you lord god for dr ed lord bless donna his precious family lord i'd give my right arm to be back at liberty universe not back i've never been there i mean i would love to be over there at liberty university and have dr ed as a professor but lord i thank you that you've provided him as a friend and as a mentor and i'm i'm wealthy for that thank you god that you shared him with us today and lord may this people may this service go out and change the world for jesus and lord as we worship you in this closing song it is our prayer that this is the last song we'll sing here on earth could be you know we long to come home we can't wait to see you face to face and so may this song and the passion of our heart in it express that reality come quickly lord jesus and all god's
