6.5 Creedmoor - Flipped A Coyote (Hornady 160 RN Interlock)

it's Monday March the fifth 2018 we've got about an hour of sunlight left I came out to my buddy Shawn's property he wanted me to see what the mud is like it's been raining out here in Texas for about two and a half almost three weeks almost about everyday but it's pretty dry he can do the work that he needs I also came out here to sight in some smk bullets and these Sierras are pretty awesome having some problems with my 100-grain a max bullets I'll show you a couple of pictures it seems like when it's charging it's disconnecting the bullet below it and after really investigating the round it looks like the boat tail is sitting right at the crimp so that's not gonna work and after I set the depth at two point eight one five instead of two point five oh it is horrible so I'm gonna have to rebuild an entire new load for that thing anyways I'm gonna sit out here see I've got a feeder at about 150 yards that way there may be some hogs out here he hasn't really seen anything but I have seen a lot of coyotes on this property he's there's one out here called tripod that I made try to get tonight imma be running with my Hornady 160 grain rod nose bullets I really like these things haven't tried a varmint with it because it would probably blow it out but I don't know so he wants me to shoot reckons and coyotes and hogs so we'll see if we get anything done tonight what hour after sunset a coyote started howling recognizes the protective territorial nature of their call I started skating with my 6.5 Creedmoor almost immediately I picked up this pair of coyotes my mind I quickly recognized tripods hobble I was hoping they would come it closer but with tripod presented a broadside shot I could not pass up on this opportunity [Applause] I was fortunate that tripod decided to run my direction the 160 great Hornet around I was dropped him right at his track I quickly dispatched him with a follow-up shot due to the graphic nature of his demise this will be the only picture I will show let me advise you to not use a Hornady 160 grain rod nose bullet on a coyote stay tuned for my next adventure where I had an awesome interaction with three deer at less than 30 yards
