6.5 Creedmoor | 200 Yard Sow | Pulsar Thermion XG50 | Absolute Hammer Bullet

so i may not be taking a long range shot after all look how fresh that is planned on testing the absolute hammer 109 grain bullet at longer distances using my precision custom built 6.5 creedmoor with the pulsar thermian xg50 that i'm demoing for night vision outfitters i confirm my shots out to 325 yards i'll show you thermal guys my day setup for practicing long range shots in a separate video i baited two areas where there's signs of hog activity i'm a quiet follower of this lunar hunting hours and set up around 3 30 just before the peak hunting times right around 6 30 i spotted this sound piglets at 200 yards which is my zero for this caliber and bullet combination just needed mama to give me a clear shot and we'll pick up the action from here there we go a little bit more man they came out right at sunset that hawk didn't drop the way i expected it to i feel really confident it was only 200 yards out i think that's it hopefully it's dead within 10 yards of the tree line a bunch of little piglets only one mature sow in that group so uh i really want to drop one in distance so i'm going to be patient try to get one at 312 yards and uh recover covered later tonight i actually grabbed some breakfast and checked out the video before uh coming to track this thing it looked like it was a good quartering towards shot right into the shoulder and you can actually see the hog hit the ground i'm going to get back up so i'm going to take mr bonehead here on his first attempt to try to retrieve something he's not trained or anything but i don't know some dogs might have the nose to find a piggy let's see if mr cree can do that and i'm assuming i made a good shot placement on there we'll go find out all right this was the area the point of impact i'm trying to find any signs of blood come on buddy let's find us a hog i know they went off this way let's go this way come here go find a pig yeah there's definitely fresh tracks through here right through there oh we'll follow him he's got his nose to the ground maybe i should have brought my thermal look at this trail man this is all beaten down they're coming through here like a hog highway you lead me on a wild goose chase dude there's another hog highway dang they're just mowing through here every animal i shot with that uh 109 grand bullet has needed either a finishing shot or a follow-up shot only one of them hit the dirt because i spied them even he needed a nine mil to the melon i'm gonna have steve send me the 124s look at this deer rub like i don't care i hate it when i don't recover pigs well mr cree your little track and job didn't do too well let's go back this way see if we can find him this way don't know where this hog is located sorry dude no bacon for you after stomping around for about 10 minutes with muttling i wasn't able to recover this hog looking through my game cam picks i am certain this is the sounder i shot at the next morning i found the same group of piglets at another feeder and one day later the piglet showed up minus one sibling with the remaining 109 grain absolute hammer bullets i'm going to switch from my 6.5 creedmoor to my 6.5 grendel i'm also developing a load for the 139 grade slant hammer for some long range hog shots i also have a project for all you guys that have been asking me to hunt hogs with my 223 i'm heading to barney texas in the next few weeks or is that bernie texas for the next few weeks so stay tuned for my next adventure you
