hi friends welcome to another packet tracer activity configuring rotor honestok inter VLAN routing yes here we can see the activity set objectives what we are going to do in this packet tracer test connectivity without interval and routing ad we land to a switch configure sub interfaces test connectivity with the inter VLAN routing we will come to path to one test connectivity the tout inter VLAN routing so in that step one ping between PC one and PC through here we can see pc1 & pc2 so wait for switch convergence or click fast-forward time a few times when the link lights are green for PC 1 and PC 3 yes it is already in green ping between PC one and PC through because the two PC's our own separate networks and our one is not configured the pynx fails okay we will ping from pc1 to pc2 and as I mentioned here the pink fails we will check that before going to pink we will check the IP uh trust of a PC 3 so here we can see the IP address of a PC 3 I am going to copy that you come to PC 1 and will ping to PC 3 pink and IP archers of PC three we are waiting for the reply so acetal it should fail we can see it's coming request timed out we will wait a moment yeah because timed out okay here we can see that pink failed 100 percentage loss as they told obviously these two pcs I mean pc1 & pc2 will not ping each other you can see these two pieces are in different subnets here will come to real-time mode and now we will create this VLAN 10 and VLAN 30 on this oh yes one okay coming to s1 enable configure terminal here we are going to create VLAN 10 and VLAN 30 yes now we will come to a step to a same VLANs two ports configure interface the faster third 0/6 and to fasterthan at 0 / 11 as access ports and assign villains assay in pc-12 VLAN 10 and the PC 3 to VLAN 30 ok we will do this now on s1 before going to the configuration we learnt through ports here we can see this PC one is connected to a far superior to 0 / 11 entities three is connected to faster toward now we will come to r1 CLI mode here enable configure terminal here we are going to the interface Gigabit Ethernet 0 / 0 dot 10 VLAN 10 so sub interface here we are going to give the encapsulation as dot1q and here we have to specify the VLAN ID that is a 10 and now we will give the IP address that is 172 got 17.10.2011 for the VLAN 30 we have to give 30.1 right we will come back again here we will go to the interface Gigabit Ethernet 0/0 door 30 now we have to give the sorry encapsulation dot1q then the VLAN ID that is 30 now we have to give its IP address so that is seventy 2.17 Road this is severe and thirty they're given 30.1 and to subnet mask 255 you go 255 255 dot zero now we will exit and we will go to the interface so Gigabit Ethernet 0 / 0 and we will give in or shut command mode trunk yes nextly so how can it its mind that the interface is a trunk port using the show VLAN command okay we given this enable trunk on a Gigabit Ethernet 0 / 1 we will come to yes 1 and we shift + yes then we have to click a capture or forward to see the steps the ping takes between TC 1 and TC 3 ok we will come to simulation mode and we will do pink from pc1 to pc2 until we will let's monitor the pings now we will come to a simulation mode then coming to PC 1 the strobe command prompt here we are going to give a ping to PC 3 the IP address of PC three yes now here we can see two packets generated one is ICMP and another one is a RP we will check it that yes we can see ICMP ant ARP so this AR p will go to this router and it will get a MAC address offer this interface so Gigabit Ethernet 0 0 0 so that ICMP will go through rotor because we can see pc1 & pc2 are in the different subnet okay we will capture on forward it ok ARP now s1q caps run forward it goes to router yes ARP yes here we can see ok just coming back yes we can see the faster ICMP is happening here here we can see the ARP sending to pc3 okay right it is getting the information from a PC three we go to the first request timed out now we will see what happens is it ICMP yes ICMP goes to PC three we came back to su and we must get the replay yes we will give again character on forward okay it goes to router we get we will get the replay right so the fourth one yes here we can see acknowledgment back to the switch and back to PC one yes here we can see we've got the replay here we can see here you should see a RP requests and replies between s1 and y r1 yes we have seen that then ARP requests under replies between r1 and ds3 then PC one can encapsulate an ICMP echo request with a proper data link layer information and r1 will Road or equals to PC three yes we have seen this the given a not after the ARP process or finishes you may need to click reset simulation to see the ICMP
