hello yeah exit ikat and I've been playing survival minecraft in one form or another for over ten years now and seven of those years have been on this same survival Minecraft world and as a result let's just say this and things that I picked up that have made my life easier simpler or just straight-up more fun that I wish I could share with some of you and that's why I decided to compile 44 of them together and share them all starting today with the first and most important one it's a really obtuse thing you can't pick up from the game itself but it's a very important lesson to learn because zombie villagers which spawn about 5% of the time by the way exist in your Minecraft world and always look like this it seems at least in Minecraft bedrock and if you find a zombies villager what you need to do to convert them back to being a normal villager even if they only spawn this way and had never actually been one is you give them a splash potion of weakness and then when they're weak you give them a golden apple you'll hear a very distinct noise and then you just have to wait a few short minutes making sure they don't die during this time and something very interesting will happen because not only will you end up with a villager but also that village it will be very grateful and give you low prices and not only will he give you low prices but also give you the ability to trade them more times in a row before turning you down and this means that you can get a lot of cheap stuff and also progress your villagers experience real fast converting zombie villagers is not just a fun and weird activity but also an incredibly useful one for starting a brand new village and getting a hard start with it another great way to get cheap traits is to kill the pillage of captains these are the guys with the banners above their backs if you kill these and then go into the center of the village you'll activate a pillager rate and once that villager rate is complete you'll have the hero of the village effect which will give you favorable trades with the villagers for as long as it lasts a pro tip about the raids is that the difficulty your game is set to will actually affect the number of waves that are raid froze at you so if you're an easy you'll only get three waves if you're on a medium you'll get five and if you're in hard you'll get seven if you want a lot of loot go on Hard difficulty but if you want to just get it done and dusted to get the better pillage of trades then all you have to do is set your game too easy temporarily and then you can take advantage of precisely that difficulty doesn't just affect the rate though historically minecraft has been pretty loose on what difficulty means for the most part easy normal and hard was just a way of saying how much minecraft mobs MacDill to you so it wasn't really an extra challenge on the harder difficulties but the raid is one example and so is the regional difficulty the longer you spend in a particular chunk multiplied by the game difficulty is what determines which Armour and if art mops will hold any arm whatsoever and mobs do happen to spawn with as well as if they'll spawn with weapons like shovels and sometimes even swords that's right you can find not only zombies with shovels and swords but sometimes skeletons too it's a wacky world that all is related to your difficulty one of the commonly known easter eggs of minecraft is that if you name a nametag GF underscore and then give this particular nametag to a sheep it broke mantle by the way but if you give this to a sheep it will make that sheep go rainbow color but something that isn't so widely known is that if you do have a rainbow sheep and then you just like to share it the color of that the Sheep will produce is not based on whatever you know rainbow Hewitt's going for at the moment it's not going to be purple than red than blue it's always gonna be the same color that the Sheep naturally has so yeah if you want to hide your sheep's color you can do it using the chip underscore a kind of secret because no one will know what you know what the Sheep is meant to have until they share it themselves which most people aren't gonna do and which they can't do if you share it yourself and give it no dirt to have access to so fun fact you can hide a sheep's color it's not very useful I'll be honest of you but it is delightful to look at speaking of things that are delightful to look at and not just for the Welsh let's talk about you know these shares themselves because a lot people think of these as being be taught that allows you to get wool from a sheep and that totally is their primary purpose but they're also the primary soap for breaking not only walk but also for breaking carpet let me break some wore my fists or rather they could be for you to show you how like slow and steady it goes you know it's like doable but here's what it looks like the [ __ ] it is much faster as you can see and now I'll show you the same thing with carpets it takes this amount of time normally and with carpets it's just this amount faster if you are making a big scale wool build which is a fun play were built to have it's very easy to do if you make a sheep farm if you're making a large-scale wool farm of wool field of any form you need to have shears and you need to have a lot of them as well so make sure you do precisely that shears are also useful in an abandoned mineshaft because this is one of the few places in the game where you can find cobwebs naturally and the only way to take cobwebs for your so is to use shares on them just like this and then you can see I've picked up some cobwebs using the share item this used to have to require silk touch but they fixed it and a little don't you realize that so if you want to get some cobwebs all you need is some shears and these are one of mine crafts non-renewable items they spawn a set number of times a crusher minecraft world and then that is it so whatever you do I implore you not to craft them into strengths because although it is a handy way to get it it's totally worth keeping the cobweb as a cobweb instead so you can use it for all sorts of various spooky builds across your world so yeah cobwebs they're useful if you do end up sucking cobwebs and it's a matter of life and death and you don't have your shares of you or you just don't care about collecting them you can also use a salt this is the fastest way of breaking cobwebs it's most useful in PvP situations where you don't care about picking up the shears manually but also it's worth mentioning that it's one of these swords very few limited uses where it's the better tool for something another example office that ties into the mine shop quite well is that it's the perfect tool for breaking minecart so instead of having to punch them by hand a few times instead you can use the sword precisely once to break it this is something that I've been frustrated to no end number of times and to be able to just do that simply is real great because it does just work for minecarts it's worth mentioning that on the boat the sword won't instantly break it but here is the time it takes to break a boulder fist as you can see it's a little bit painful but if we use the sword instead doing the exact same spam rate you can see how happens much faster if not instantaneously so yeah given that boats are basically the new mine car this is a handy tip to note also do not do this with your boat while we're on the subject of transportation the donkey is not as fast as a minecart or a boat but it does have the benefit of once you tame it and add a saddle to where you can add a chest onto the back as well which means you can have some inventory slots attached to that donkey these are very between 6 and 15 but you can get yourself effectively 15 extra inventory slots that ride around with you wherever you go as you can see there right there if you just tame yourself a donkey or if you really want a now the pro tip is breed your donkey with a horse and not only will you get one of Minecraft achievements but also you can place a chest on these mules as well and these same exact things applies you can get 6 to 15 inventory slots to store your precious torches or your arrows your Trident or your bow you know I don't have many valuable things on me right now but I want to keep my cobwebs so the mule is gonna allow me to do precisely that in case you are curious about what the trade-off is between yours and donkeys honestly mules are just slightly faster usually than a donkey because it's got some horse DNA in there however unlike donkeys mules are sterile so if you want to breed for the perfect mule you have to use a donkey and a horse whereas you can breed donkeys together and biuret eclis get a perfect donkey that is going to be better than a mule in in theory again so it's a weird practice in reality but just know that mules and donkeys both do the same job they get you around your Minecraft world and they carry your stuff with you another way to increase your effective inventory size is to go and get some chakra shells because if you get these and combine them with a chest you can make a shoulder box so this chakra box is interesting because it's effectively just a normal chest except when you break a normal chest to try and move with you all the things that were inside effect go flying out onto the ground however if you break a shocker box even when it's got things inside of it those things remain in the Shocker box in your inventory as you can see pork chops and charcoal this effectively means for every sugar box you burn your inventory you add 26 slots because they have 27 slots each and they only take up one slot meaning that the more chakra boxes you have the more inventory space you can move and that is a very big deal for big projects if you just want 15 slots bring yourself a mule around with you wear it whereas my mule you know one big benefit shocker boxes over mules is you can't lose a shocker box but you can lose your donkey okay we found the mule and you know this isn't part of the video but I'm super curious now after breaking that chest we have some inventory slots say with this mule if we kill the mule do they just go on the ground I assume so but I've never seen it well what do you know they do and also I feel like a monster speaking of things not worth finding out and although I guess that could describe everything on this channel let me talk to you about shockers because if you want to kill them and you definitely do to get their shocker boxes right it's worth keeping in mind that they are one of Minecrafts non-renewable knobs when they die they do not respawn there is no place for them to respawn you can just find them in these entities and that is it and that means when you kill them you need to make sure you do it with a looting sword it has to have looting free ideally if you can I would recommend going through a great effort to make sure you can because there are very few shockers found nationally in your world and when you kill them of looting free you can get between one and four chakra boxes as opposed to zero to one and this is a big deal of a difference if you want a lot of chakra boxes just to show you his amazing an axe neck but no loose control and on it and as you can see one this guy is being very annoying but - as you can see he died without dropping a single chakra shell which is a big deal of a problem you want Shaka shells from every shock box that you killed because once they're dead they're gone forever and you need to make sure you use looting frames make sure they get you something helping also how many we get this we got 34 now just 35 still better one than none that's what I say at least also applies to number of girlfriends but anyway let's move into the next thing because as well as chakras elder Guardians are another mob that will never respawn once you kill them they are dead forever and although they're much less useful than the shockers it's worth keeping this in mind as you kill them they spawn once in your world with every ocean monument a very rare structure and then they never spawn again Guardians on the other hand can be farmed so keep in mind the elder Guardians rare and you know worth considering when you kill them Guardians kill them on sight they'll just spawn again and we real easy and it's not tunity to use the impelling enchantment for the traded right so who doesn't love that so although mine carts aren't really used as a transportation method that often by players these days they're really handy because they can fit pretty much any entity inside of them which means that you can fit a ghast in there if you really want you can also fit an elder garden in there which is how I managed to bring an elder Guardian all the way from a ocean monument a thousand blocks away here into my museum where I've kept him in a little underwater exhibit as you can see it's delightful and it's very annoying having the mining fatigue free effect constantly don't get me wrong one of the worst things about having one of these in your world but it's also very cool that you can transport pretty much anything in Minecraft you are the rule of the game you decide what blocks go where and you can even take some of the beefiest boss mobs in the game and move them around if you really want to and I think that's absolutely beautiful something else I think is beautiful has to be concrete powder so concrete powder is one of the very few good uses to gravel again until it came out there was pretty much no good reason to collect this in your Minecraft world but now you can use it as a way to collect some concrete powder and the reason concrete powder is so useful is because it allows you to make concrete which is a wonderful block but also it's a block which you can place into water to make a brand new block at the same time as allowing you kind of like a gravity effective block that will stop when it hits water this is a very niche not necessarily perfectly useful scenario but let me show you right here a stack up using the sand and then I drop it down and it makes a pathway below the ground into the water again it's just beautiful to look at and yeah it's one of the most interesting blocks in Minecraft because it's the only one that entirely changes its form just by interacting with water and yeah you can do splintering things where your concrete powder turns directly into concrete as it touches the water and yeah I think quite concrete beautiful but it's not the only colour that's useful because if you make lime concrete it will look like this one of these smoothest green blocks in Minecraft which means if you really want to you can totally do some green screen magic inside of Minecraft and look at the beauty that we're doing right here wow I'm flying through space wow what's that am I on a plane Wow looks like I'm in Australia now and you know there's a countless number of things you can do with green screens in Minecraft and you can make green screens using lime concrete really effectively which is great if you want to act out your dreams but here in Minecraft another example of an interaction that minecraft won't really tell you about is the fact that if you feed a dandy light to a brown mushroom it has to be a brown mushroom yes and then you milk that brown mushroom you'll get something called suspicious stew which is actually the best item in the game if you use a dandelion all of the other plants that you can feed a mushroom will have bearing effects but the effect you get for this suspicious two is saturation which means that not only will it give you free you know hunger shanks restored which is real nice by itself but also it will give you the ability to not use hunger for a certain amount of time a really powerful ability and this makes it the best food in Minecraft that again very few people know about because of its limited find ability I mean you have to use a piece of lightning on a mushroom which is already a rare mob then you have to feed it something then you have to milk it in a few seconds it's a super rare niche thing to know but now you're in the exclusive club that is aware of that another thing worth knowing about that's kind of the opposite is the clock in Minecraft is absolutely garbage the game implies but it's a clock and technically speaking it does do a job of telling you what time it is very very badly because it's just this kind of yellow texture on top of a blue or black background the more black there is the closer towards nighttime you are and when it's fully black it's fully dark and you know the more blue the more daytime there is left sure it kind of works without purpose but the truth is 99.9% the time it's better to just look at the Sun or keep track of the time yourself however it's worth mentioning that you don't have to waste an inventory slot on this just in case you really want to use this item it's one of the very few that will still do 100% bits function while in sight an item frame that's right the clock works once an item frame one of the very few items to actually be entirely functional although how you spoke lockers even in an item frame is very much debatable I think it's a great way to decorate a home with something that technically has a little bit of use the other major way you can use item frames as an actually functional thing is you can put anything you like inside the item frame even if it's literally just a piece of steak and then what you can do is you can measure the output offset item frame using a redstone comparator these redstone comparators will light up with a different amount of signal depending on how rotated the thing is which means you can do all sorts of weird wacky things so just to show you right here that redstone signal will in fact change as we rotate more you can see it slowly fade through and change as we rotate this thing meaning that we can actually have say a lock based on the item frame and just a proof of concept here is a piece of meat that you can spin and if you spin it enough what it will do is open the door and if you spin it too much it will close the door again and you're not spinning your meat in a order to open doors is not a phrase that you figured you'd be able to use in Minecraft but let me assure you it is entirely possible a bizarre but useful interaction in Minecraft is that if you place for rails just like this and then you place a rail in the center it will always connect the rails facing to the south and to the east this is a great way of working out your direction of Minecraft however if you are just trying to make a minecart rail and this is getting in your way because you want it to go north and west then someone you can do is you can actually use a lever to reverse the direction that the rails go as you can see you can handily do this to make a minecart rail which depending on the redstone signals attached goes to different locations another really handy use for this potentially you know curb track system is you can she make falster tracks using curved rails than you can using straight ones this sounds impossible to believe and if I show you on screen right now or nice little timer here is the speed it takes me to go all across these you know like minecart rails that are all powered as you can see it's you know not a bad time it's not disrespectful but now let me show you the exact same thing but every other rail is actually a kerb instead of a straight line this is a really weird thing to do and it looks like nonsense when you look at it from afar but if we show this exact same timer even though we're zigzagging to the Wrights we're covering more total distance our speed is actually higher in the one direction which means that we can complete it faster and since I know this seems like crazy editing nonsense or something like that let me put two mine carts down I'll push this one first actually then I'll push this one and you'll see how the one on the right will actually slowly overtake Thorne on the left because that's how much faster it's going despite having a head start these straight tracks are actually slower than the unstraight in tracks however the only downside is that you can't use these the other way if you try to pick up the minecart and you try to use it going in Reverse obviously it won't work because you need to reverse all of these or you could just make a second set of rails for that precise same thing but yeah just keep in mind that are curving your tracks slightly is a way to make them go faster which goes against all the things you'd expect I don't know what's happening here but it's very confusing and which goes against all the things you would expect you know a lot of things about my carts are against what you would expect but that's something you've just got to keep in mind so look I'm gonna go this way now as you can see just go straight off the rails Asli using Alevis is a bad idea on this scale but it just goes to show that you can in theory use redstone to flip the direction on a track and still make it go fast so if you want to have complex redstone mechanisms to determine how far should minecarts go that's a great way to do that although again in reality minecarts on the best transport wolf right now and it's still a very interesting thing to learn regardless so it used to be that prior to the never update if you wanted to go down really quickly you needed a slime block or you needed to fall into water well you needed something along those lines otherwise you're gonna take a lot of full damage and in some cases die however something that they conveniently added of these weeping vines all you need to do is put the weeping vines underneath a block which is easy enough to do just as you can see right here there is a weeping vine then we bone Mila and all way down it goes and it gives us a reliable way to go down and then also not just come down but to get back up again it's really really useful if correctly that is and yeah handy little way to actually go down really quickly if you are adventuring a new part of your world and in the same way you can use the twisting point and never never update feature found in the nether but useful in the overworld although more useful in than ever I would say is if you need to get up really quickly you don't have to use scaffolding or something else that's very you know like a bankful you can just use a twit you know twisting vine bonemeal it a bunch and then all of a sudden okay if just in case you fall down again place the block down and what you know I fell down but it's still gonna be okay because I can make a twisting vine to get to my other twisting vine and then I can use that twisting vine to get to the surface you can also just like place them manually but I think Bo Miller's are much more fun way it's literally a beanstalk inside a Minecraft who is arguing against the beanstalk I can go see the Giants in the cloud and that is now only possible because of the 1.16 updates so yeah just a small little thing I wanna mention as a fun fact that will help you out before we move into the next thing here because water doesn't need to take up an entire block in Minecraft if you want to irrigate your crops but you don't like having water here I mean it's kind of annoying you jump out of the water sometimes you jump on your Crocs no one wants to do that so instead what you can do is you can take advantage of water logging and you can place half slabs on top of the blocks right here if there are no spiders in the way that is and if you place a half 7th of the block you will still have all the benefits of water because there will be half a block of water down there but without any of the downside of you stepping into it actually you know what just kill spiders that's a lifepro tip not a minecraft one but it will improve your life significantly seriously let's just get them right out there and buy our fare I mean our lives unlike water lava does not have the same effect where it will we know can have water log lava log which means the way you can do if you place a half stamp on the bottom of a block is you can effectively just as you can see right here place a bunch of slabs in a kind of Hut covered walkway just like this this is obviously a terrible way to make a pathway because we're using wooden slabs which burn up in the Never but it means that if you really want to you can make a pathway through the lava and if you use any slabs that isn't made from wood then you probably won't die a horrible death as result this is drill close the dead oh my god some white buy half a heart there which was partly because of my armor by the way because did you know even though lover in Minecraft is lava it cooks you alive and therefore you might assume it has no you know impact by your armor like many other things in Minecraft but no actually the amount of damage that lava does to you is actually proportional to the armor you're wearing if you're wearing no armor you dine about two two and a half seconds but if you're wearing full never right armor you dine about 12 and a half seconds in other words you can extend your life by up to five times just Obama and although the best tool to use is instead a potion of fire assistance the fact that you can kind of hop into lava for a second and then hop straight out and survive if you have enough time Adama is insane in my opinion and maybe in yours too by the way one of the benefits of killing blazes and then ever besides the great experience they give you about double that of any other mob in the game by the way but as well as having great experience in wards they also drop blaze rods and those blaze rods are one of the best fuel sources in Minecraft because every individual blaze rod will smell 12 separate items so yeah it's one of the better items don't get me wrong here it's know love a bucket which as we all know can smell a hundred items at once which is the absolute most you can get for a single item in Minecraft and therefore it's the best for bombs and such but it is still a very handy thing that you can get while farming experience in the nether if you really want to although I would never say that the only use for a lava bucket is as a furnace fuel because it also is worth bearing in mind that the lava bucket has the best light source value in Minecraft that's right if we dig a hole in the ground and we place the lava into it this will give us a light source of 15 the most powerful you can get joint with the lantern joint with the you know the sea lantern joint with the jack-o'-lantern joint with every sinking of glowstone all the good sources in the game are tied with lava but also lava has this nice kind of glow to it which those other blocks Don so let's talk about how you can take advantage of this to light up your world you might know if you've been watching this world that I've been lighting up the entire thing of torches how do we make sure that the entire thing stops mob spawning though well that's a simple question because every light has a light value in the case of the torch it's 14 in the case of the lava it's 15 but evil way it has a now you and once you know what the value of a light source is you can calculate that it loses one block at with one light level for every block it goes past so if this is the larva then this plop right here would be fewer this is 15 this is 14 this is 13 this is 12 this is 11 this is 10 let's pretend that torture isn't there this is 9 8 and then 7 is where mobs start to spawn so bear in mind that if we have a lava source all the way over there then all the way over here we would still be relatively safe because that's the wonderful world of Minecraft so yeah you can use this for anything in Minecraft and this is why diagonally going about 6 blocks between torches is the best way to do things the whole grid system which I've been using is a little bit overkill it uses doubled many torches as necessary but it does make this kind of nicer grid than most people have which are diagonal grids so you know to each their own but just keep in mind that light level is based on the taxicab formula that you saw on screen and it's a handy way to knowing about it is a handy way to make sure that everything's lit up and so that you don't get a nasty surprise in the forum for creeper when you least expect it lava buckets are also quite handy if you want to kill villagers but you don't want to upset the iron golems because if you have the you know lava down and then the villager just so happens to fall into it or even if you literally place at the villagers feet the villager will die a painful slow death don't get me wrong but as a result of that death which will happen in a second just trust me here but the death can have some positive results for your village as a whole and you don't have to deal the consequences of iron golems coming straight after you if you use a lava bucket to do it although apparently the fire spread pretty fire don't know how that will happen in a split second speaking of things that happen in a split second the way I personally choose to kill villagers is I have this giant pit in the middle of my world and I just kind of push villagers towards it when I want them to die it's another way of killing a animal in Minecraft killing a mob or even a baby if you want so without directly killing it which means the iron golems won't be upset with you because as we all know upsetting villagers and indeed their golems is a bad idea and as we all know sometimes you just want to kill things in Minecraft in fact that's like 40 percent of this game so doing it correctly that's important even if it's a baby sometimes it's got to be done and yeah euthanasia for babies this is my controversial opinion actually not a far more controversial opinion that I'm willing to defend is that the desert well a one in a thousand chance of spawning in Minecraft per chunk is the best structure of Minecraft think about it right you're in the desert and you're like oh I'm sure excited for a desert temple I sure am excited for the idea that maybe I might find myself I sure I'm excited the idea that maybe I'll find myself you know a village and some great loot like that no the thing you're really looking for is this its water in the desert where else can you find water in the desert nowhere else I tell you there is no way you can find water besides this and that's why one of my minecraft pro tips is find a desert well because these things are so great water and deserts sound like the opposites but with the desert well you can have them together for only $5.99 a month I feel like that's where this pitch is going no does it well suck a lot of Minecraft structures suck in fact but a lot of them are great too if you want to deal with a creeper but you don't a deal the hole hitting it process a convenient thing that I already accidentally showed is what you can do is get to the edge of the creeper range and then let it explode from there and it won't do you any harm whatsoever this does require a bit of practice I'll admit but if you want to kind of train yourself in the meantime just placing a block between you and the creeper can make this a whole lot and easier process and will weaken any damage that goes wrong just in case so yeah creepers all you got to do is let them explode by themselves and as long as you don't care about the damage or don't your Minecraft world or a cave or whatever that's kind of handy speaking of handy things finding slimes can be hard in Minecraft we all know this you know like Ghengis like get lots of slime blocks especially if you need more than a dozen also can be a real pain and that's why a lot of people make slime bombs or workout slime chunk stuff like that but something these people might not know is you can just come to a swamp in Minecraft swamps are I know you must I know okay you know swamps in Minecraft are one of the places where you can actually find slimes unknown to a lot of people but the interesting thing about slimes and swamps is the way they spawn here is based on the moon cycle that's right there is a moon cycle in Minecraft that you don't need to know about the 99% of the game but just know that the full of the moon is the more likely your mine slimes and if it's a empty moon you won't find slimes in swamps it's a really useless pack there only applies this one thing as best we can tell right now it clearly is something they intend to flesh out later but for now just keep in mind you can find slimes in swamps and it's really great when you do except when skeletons kill them I love that slime man okay we found a bigger one it's okay you know we don't we don't need that slime anyway we don't need no slime education and yeah we use looting on these slimes which is a handy way to get more of any drop we can get far more slimes and then we can turn those into its slime block Enderman are one of the most damaging mobs in Minecraft especially on Hard difficulty so if you get one accidentally a grid on you and you really can't defend yourself you're scared cuz you're dying the best thing to do is to simply place a water bucket on the ground and it gives you this kind of area of protection from pretty much any mob but especially from the element because every single time they touch water they teleport way which is an incredibly handy thing to know it also again works against most of them ops besides skeletons so it's a great thing for everything in my opinion but especially for the end of it once you do finally get your slime blocks you might enjoy bouncing on them which you can do from the sky if you really want to by the way it's a lot of fun but something you might not know is that if you have certain blocks above the slime block as long as they're thin enough they won't block the bounciness which means you can have hidden bounciness in your Minecraft world as well as hidden slowness if you want sooo because this looks like from the top at least just a piece of carpet but when we bounce on it as you can see it's gonna launch us straight into the sky you can use this to fake people out and make them think they're gonna die and then really they bounce and it's a lot of fun and yeah if your ideal version of a prank involves making someone think they're gonna die then that's a great way to do this however a much less than the various use for carpet as you can just use it as a way to get over fences fences are a great way of keeping animals in and you out or vice versa and the wonderful thing that you can do if you want to get in and out of your animal pen say to breed them or you kill them every now and then is you can place a carpet on one of the walls or you can place it on the corner if you really want to I think in the corner is the nicest way because it's got the smallest little surface and then you can jump on this carpet which somehow is lower than the fence and you can get above and over the way this works in case you're actually curious because it seems really dumb but you can't jump over a fence but you can jump over a carpet on a fence despite the fact that that should be higher is because the hitbox for the fence is one point five blocks tall you know a let go kind of up to there how about the hip-hop for the carpet is actually like 1.01 blocks tall and it goes slightly around it which means as you can see when the fence is here we actually up to that one point five blocks we're floating on nothing but when we're on the carpet we're just on the carpet it's a weird thing but it's a weird thing that mobs cannot work out so no mob will escape using this method only you can did you know that if you use bone meal on a mushroom and you grow it into a giant mushroom you can then use any silk touch tool on that giant mushroom let's use our pickaxe just as an example actually let's use the shovel because it's a bit more quirky you can then pick up the mushroom blocks themselves this is a fun way to get up one of Minecrafts rarer blocks for a while it was like one of the rarest box in Minecraft and it's a really cool unique block the people will question where you got it unless they're you know kind of big on this soft stuff I mean no um but yeah most people will not know exactly what this mushroom block is it's a very weird thing that can be used to do some very very very strange stuff also just to tide into the furnace thing again it does work as a furnace fuel just in case you want to use the weirdest furnace fuel in Minecraft which this definitely isn't my opinion also we can make our Enloe mushrooms as you can see it's not a pretty mushroom you know it's not much but it's mine one of my favourite super niche problems that requires a super niche solution is if you have a bunch of bones that you'd like to convert flowers you can do so by of course just boning the ground and you've got a decent chance of getting some dandelions with that and these dandelions are useful for the best food but if you want a lot of dandelions and you have a lot of bone meal it can be really annoying to do this manually by hand even if you decide to scoop it up with water it takes a lot of time to bone meal and then to do this over and over again so instead I have this little contraption it's a really basic thing if you want you can copy this bun the bun I wouldn't recommend it there are much better designs but basically all you got to do is make a little bit of a loop just like this so it goes continuously pushing blocks back and forth as you can see and every single time the blocks are pushed by these Pistons they will break the things on top of them this means we can bone mill and have the blocks be immediately broken getting some seeds if we want them getting some dandelions if he want them and getting all manner of other things if we want them it's kind of cool it's kind of where to stand on and honestly again even if you don't want flowers it's a weird thing to build because it just doesn't seem like it makes any sense and when you look at it it doesn't feel like it does but redstone in Minecraft it'd be wacky who would have figured so most people when they play around with the chorus fruit probably do so in the end or at least out in the open where it's admittedly not a very useful tool for pretty much anyone however in survival mode and especially if you're doing anything that involves other players a really easy way to escape them if you're inside is to use precisely these same chorus fruit because they're much more effective when there's walls between you and where you likely teleport to here is me in my chest room and I'm gonna hear chorus true and I'm gonna end up in a different part of my chest room and then we're gonna another course fruit and I'm gonna end up outside my furnace room I eat one more chorus fruit and all of a sudden oh I'm back in the chest room actually but you can see how you teleport around pretty much randomly sometimes you get pretty close to yourself and sometimes you teleport on top of a mountain because the chorus fruit is much more effective when there are wolves around you and allowing you to escape from your enemies so assuming you don't have any enemies because you're playing in a solo survival world and you don't fear creepers that badly here is the second tip to keep in mind with a course fruit because it's not just an amazing tool to allow you to stay safe from you know like you know enemies and stuff it's an amazing way to stay safe from yourself if you're an idiot and full of something you can use chorus fruit as a way to hit the ground about hurting yourself if right now I jump off the edge here about to hit the ice and I fall onto the ice because I actually teleported there without a single point of damage a 30 block full would usually kill me but instead I got there with no damage and in fact I got their [ __ ] faster to prove that point here's me falling again from a much higher height I use the thing and I immediately full straight down to the ground chorus fruit are very very useful and also they heal some you know food which is again admittedly it's smaller use but they're very very useful in situations where other players are involved or if you know you're gonna pull up things a lot and you need to panic and eat something to fall to the ground there is a great tip for you did you know that once you go above a certain height in every single Minecraft biome it will start a snow you can see pretty smoothly right here the transition between where it clearly doesn't snow where it rains and where it snows instead and although snow is beautiful to look at it does have the downside of covering your world in this fix snow which might cover up some of your builds or even you just might not like how it looks it's kind of ugly when it's patchy like it is right here so how do you fix snow falling on your Minecraft world well the first wait the obvious way you can see right here is torches torch we'll stop you know like snow happening from a couple blocks away from them to about like level 12 or so if you use glowstone it's an extra block but if you don't use a excessive amount of lighting then you do have a couple of other solutions available one solution that I like because it's one of the wackiest ways to do so many building tips in Minecraft is just a use string instead string will immediately replace the snow with a piece of string which again it's meant be a trip wire but even without the trip wire you can do that just great and it's a wonderful way to make sure that when snow falls again it can't fall there because there's technically a block in the way even though it's a mostly invisible block but if you want a visible block if you want to send a deaf fret to the snow you can instead use some redstone which again I think is much uglier but maybe if you're going but ugly or maybe you just you know you think there's something nice about being clear that this is an anti snow feature you can use redstone you can use string or you can use torches all free will stop snow from falling on your blocks and that's rather nice in my opinion my next tip regards the fawns in sharpen the fawns and Sharmon seems real good because I mean you know the official description is they allows you to still damage back to targets that damage you however if you are not in multiplayer even if you're a multi player like for survival most the time it's not a good idea if you're in a world where you don't care about resources sure you spawns if you are playing survival by yourself with very few others and you don't really intend to be attacked bones is a terrible idea first of all because it doesn't even activate all of the time it activates on a chance based thing second of all because it does very little damage back to the mob you're attacking here's how many hits it's gonna take the skeleton to die after we as you can see it took six full hits right there for the skeletons to die using the forms and shaman not actually very handy given that I have a sword that can kill skeletons in one hair anyway but the biggest reason is that everytime fallens activates and then every single time that you activate the forms and you get that like free damage del you'll use up another GLC and if you have diamond boots or never right boots you really want to make sure that you're not wasting that you will see on dump things and no offense but having a skeleton be mildly damaged when he fires an arrow at you is not the most useful thing in the world and is therefore pretty dumb so fawns really great in shaman not so great for survival but to give a tip that is the exact opposite of that I think that when you're playing multiplayer you should always have a helmet that has a decent in Xiamen like protection on to protect you from various things that might attack you however if you're playing survival and you want something that's a bit of a goof did you know that if you wear a mob head on top of yourself but just like this the zombie head for instance the detection range between you and that mob will be decreased by 50% this means the mob can't see you from a distance until it is much closer to you than of where should be and as you can see that zombie stops seeing where I am he starts walking away entirely from a much closer distance than otherwise did you know that you can get mob heads like this zombie head in survival if you want to all it requires is an incredibly rare chance of a creep up being struck by lightning so it becomes a charged creeper and then you can take a charge creeper and you can bring any other mob to it or any mob that can drop its head ie the skeleton the creeper and the zombie and if the explosion of the charged creeper kills one of these other mobs again unlikely series of events you will get a mob head in survival this is a break from something that used to happen where that wasn't the case where you wouldn't be able to obviously get the op-eds in survival and right now it's a very hard thing to do unless you have a trident with the channeling and shaman if it is fun during and you use the triune of the channeling in shaman you can actually cause lightning to strike on a creeper and you can make this interaction much more likely because otherwise having a zombie which is killed by a charged creeper without dying yourself to it is very hard to do as you saw right there for some reason the immunity of the zombie allowed it to escape her and as a result that shot Reaper is gone forever but all you need to do is have some persistence and eventually that will work for you now I have to wait until it funders again and in case you're curious what the lesson to learn from that was it was because I punched the zombie just before the creeper exploded because there's like a cool-down and when you can hurt mobs in Minecraft you know here's a bonus tip for you just to make up for that fail you can only hurt mobs a certain amount in Minecraft and they can only hurt you a certain amount if I get hit by the zombie I'm immune from a taxon that zombie for a whole nother second oh the forms and shaman kill it for me but if you are attacked by something you're immune for a few seconds afterwards and the same happens from that mob to you so as you can see attack the zombie no matter how many times I'm firing my fist it's only happening about once every half second or so because there is an immunity period from all attacks you're hit once this means that there are a lot of enemies around there's theoretically some magic you can do where if you get hit by the spider you can't get hit by the zombie and therefore you could do some stuff like that but the reality is is minecraft has cooldown cooldowns and it's really important if you want to charge creeper to kill something that you don't attack it in the seconds proceeding that so yeah useful tip so if you've been playing Minecraft for a while you know that if you get a negative effect on your person the best thing to do is to just grab a bucket of milk and it will clear out all of your effects and this is true most of the time but there is a better solution if your biggest problem is poison let's say you eat a raw puff fish and you get this poison effect amongst others or let's say some froze a poison potion are you the best thing to do is to bring honey bottle specification because not only will it cure the poison but it's also stackable as you could see I had free and that stack right there and also it will cure some of your hunger points so that way you can use it even once the poisons gone to get yourself back up to full this is a really really handy tip and it makes bees kind of worthwhile um however it only will work for poison I've heard a lot of information that it works for the weathering effect and so on and so forth if you want to cure withering if you want to cure a lot of these things use milk still milk clears all effects but if you want to cure poison specifically honey does that so much better than milk and I like that as a little fun fact for you all of you to know the last tip here is just to keep in mind that minecraft is changing all the time every major version is changing minecraft in a lot of significant ways you know the headline you know many dozens of ways you'll hear about but also many hundreds of changes happen below the hood for instance did you know that if you're hit by a zombie on fire you used to be able to take damage at one point you know fire damage that doesn't belong fire now you just take a little of damage like it's a normal mob because the mobs fire cannot spread to you it's an interesting feature that you might not have known even existed or you might not know that it's changed and there are so many examples like this in the game that make you realize that if you get out of Minecraft for a while or even if you're following it you know you're playing every day but you're not following the game so much things can change and not being prepared to those things can lose you big things like a whole mop head that you have wise we're expecting to get and so on and so forth and that's why my big tip is to stay updated with the major versions of the game follow the change logs on the Minecraft site follow the Minecraft Wiki if you want to or you can even follow this channel where I do of course upload videos every single time there is a Minecraft update and detail what's changed in there whichever of those things you choose to do it we'll keep you more updated with Minecraft as a whole and of course it seems like a bit of self-promotion but the you know the truth is minecraft is an ever-changing game it was the game that got free updates long before that was an idea any other studio tried and it's one of the cool things about minecraft that they still do to this day without even you know asking you money for it which i think is nice anyway I hope you have all enjoyed this video there's a lot of things about Minecraft that I wish I knew at some point before now and I feel like sharing it with other people it's just one of those great ways to get that knowledge out there and yeah if you appreciate it and if these facts and just enjoyed seeing this world which I have been playing for over 7 and a half years in pure survival then I have a let's play which I don't honestly recommend you check out if you like these sort of snappy list videos you probably won't enjoy me rambling about the universe for 45 minutes while we play Minecraft but in case you do there's a link to in the description but you want so don't bother clicking it it's a bad idea and you can see from start-finish how we got this weird place that we are in the world a weird and wonderful place I should add but yeah thank you for watching cuz I'll see you all in the next one I'll also consider subscribing these beneath this this took way longer than I expected to record but it's worth it if it helps just a single person with their Minecraft world ok good bye [Music] you you [Music]
