lord has been by our side and we thank you jesus we thank you jesus at this time we're going to transition into a moment of prayer and and i think it's it's appropriate for the fervent effectual prayers to come forth in this place i want each and every one of us to just begin to bring that petition to the front of your mind you know the one for that neighbor or for that co-worker the one for that family member the one for that sick cousin that you know about the one for that person that you know they're without hope right now and i want us to pray fervently in this place and ask god to show up but we're not asking god to show up sometime later but we're asking god to show up and shifting this atmosphere right now i need to all the faith in the building to come together and let's begin to pray and ask god to move like never before why don't we go before the lord now jesus we thank you lord we praise your name god we exalt you jesus because lord we know that there is none greater than you lord you declared you know no other god there is none beside you in heaven there is one throne and it's you that sits upon it and so we come humbly before you now god lord god and we know that you're sovereign jesus and that all power rests in your hands and so god we're bringing every petition every plea god we're breaking every sickness god we're bringing every person with anxiety god we're bringing all depression before you now jesus and father we're praying god that you begin to move jesus begin to heal the sick now god raised sick individuals above the depends of affliction clear i see you right now jesus empty the hospital rooms right now jesus let there be a miraculous healing god that takes place all over this city jesus lord god that you have to get the glory forward and father in this place tonight god we're praying jesus lord god to let your glory fall god like never before let it sweep over us god like never before let the anointing flow god like never before let your miracles flow god like never before grip a hold of our hearts in this place transform our minds in this house let your word come forth with power and demonstration in the holy ghost and we'll be sure jesus in the midst of it all in the midst of the celebration in the midst of it all we're going to give you all the glory all of the honor and the praise in jesus name why don't we just take a moment and give god some praise if you know god is moving right now if you know that there's a healing forming right now if you know that there's some deliverance taking place right now if you know jesus ears are open to the prayers of his people why don't we just go ahead and praise them in advance praise them because you know the phone will be ringing when you get home your neighbor say 29. if that neighbor wasn't excited look at your other neighbor tell them say 29 and if they don't know what 29 mean tell them it's 29 years tell them it's been almost three decades of ministry in the city of tampa god's been saving delivery somebody said say 29 means me i'm a part of 29 i happened in 29 amen amen you may be seated in the house of god it's wonderful to be in the house of god tonight amen and it's it's a wonderful thing that we're coming together to celebrate tonight it's a wonderful celebration taking place in this building tonight amen because see what we're celebrating is the fact that there was a family that was willing to hear hear from god and obey the commission of god and come and just begin to do the work of god we're celebrating their commitment amen but even more we're celebrating each and every one of you see because over 29 years whether you were born here or god moved you here there's been some mighty moves of god that's taken place over the last 29 years there's been healing over the last 29 years oh so you're too cute to praise for healing right now i said there's been healing over the last 29 years some of you know that people have been been drunk out of been taken out of drug deals over the last 29 years there's been prostitutes have been liberated in the last 29 years some of you put down some bad habits over 29 years and so we're celebrating that right now is the perfect time to look back as the song says as i look back over my life and i think things over i can truly say over 29 years i've been blessed we got a testimony new life we got it if your neighbor seemed too comfortable tell them you must not have a testimony of 29. now listen we go this is gonna be a party tonight i said this is gonna be a party tonight so i know some people you might be tired but but i need you to ramp it up just a little bit because we want to have a true celebration see the you determine how much party it's really going to be see whatever level of praise you brought in to celebrate that's the level of party it's going to be so i wonder what somebody said you know what i'ma turn it up a little bit why because i can go back and look where god has bought me from see see some of you don't even need to look back 29 years some of you can look back 29 days and talk about how good god has been some of you can look back two months and look at the glory of god healing took place last month for some of you deliverance took place last week for some of you so we can give god some praise and we're going to do that all night i need you to keep that right there all night amen amen amen glory so welcome to the celebration we got the whole family in the building tonight and we gonna have a good old-fashioned holy ghost influence in my life you taught me how to pray you are the one who encouraged me to wake up at 5 am and seek the lord thank you you have always encouraged me you have always kept it real you've always been transparent not afraid to show us who you are the struggles the victories the triumphs you have always always encouraged me with your realness and i am so grateful to know you to see you to hear you an anointed woman of god a speaker singer worshiper and i get to call her mom dad oh boy what can i say thank you thank you for always praying for us for the rebukes oh yeah they came but one thing about it is you didn't come down hard you told us the truth but you always backed it up with love and encouragement you put purpose you spoke destiny into us i don't think that we would be here if it had not been for the prophetic words and the life that you have spoken over us so we are so grateful we are so grateful for you and your family judah where are you judah judah look at this young man when we came to victory he was probably eight or nine years old and look at the man that he's grown up to be praise god gabrielle such a beautiful young lady gifted brilliant you know i know that you all probably face a tremendous amount of pressure being the children of this dynamic power couple in the lord but you have handled it with such grace and dignity and seeing you grow up i'm just so proud of you and grateful for you amen so tonight pastor mom we just want to excuse me we just want to show you our gratitude and tell you that we love you i tell you that we thank you for your hard work for your sacrifice for your love for your compassion and for putting up with me even when i was hard-hitted praise god praise god you've always led by example not just word only so i'm honored to call you dad i was saved in victory and you've always been that voice in my life and taught me about submission i tell my saints when pastors say jump i'm like how high praise god i learned that from this man of god i've seen you lead your family in love i've seen you leave this church i would not be here 10 years ago you looked at an old producer from atlanta and pointed at me and said i claim you in jesus name it's the praise cup amen so sir i want to take this opportunity to tell you i love you i love the both of you and thank you for all your hard work and sacrifice this is a small token you sang thank you jesus there's no much i can say about bishop daniel david that you already don't know because i just know him for five years but what i can say about him that you don't know is the kind of father and leader he has been in my life bishop has believed in me from the start just like a father believing his son he has stopped me just like a father teaches his son he has correct me just like a father disciplines his son because he loves him he has dreamed with me and entrusted me with his vision just like a father would i wonder what my father would have thought of me as i fulfill my purpose in god but he is no longer here to see and tell me but bishop you have been a father to me thank you for pouring to your yourself into my life into many lives and truly an honor to know you and to learn from you thank you before i came to tampa i remember seeing her and hearing her in ocala at a ladies conference i clearly remember telling god i need a mentor like her in my life a couple years later i walk in this campus for the first time and i see sister saban davey walking towards me to welcome me and all of a sudden i realized what was happening god had heard my request but what i didn't realize then is that god was giving me more than a mentor he was giving me a spiritual mother i thank god for you mom i honestly don't know how the last five years of my life would have unfolded if it wasn't for you and for your prayers i know many here feel that way so today we honor you your love for god and his kingdom your passion for prayer and for helping so many find their voices in god's kingdom your sacrifice has inspired us and challenged us to never be satisfied but to live a life of continuous surrender and relationship thank you from the bottom of our hearts we love you my wife and i have been pastor kids uh me my life she most of her lives and pks are amazing there's a lot behind the scenes that many people don't see about pastor kids and the love and the mercy they uh we pour as pastor's kids in their parents their ministry in their adult years we consider pk's heroes natalie daniela aaron and bj we see you your obedience dedication and passion you have built alongside your parents and that is something to admire we see your parents and we see you and many of us only pray that we can be as successful in serving god and raising children who are determined to carry on the vision and legacy of their parents we honor you today mom bishop because you all have poor of yourselves endlessly we can only commit commit to follow your footsteps because filling your shoes will be impossible we pray long years health and strength we love you mom and bishop let's give it up one more time for the leadership of the new life tabernacle family amen sleeping in my grave pushing up daisies but i gotta say bud i don't know about you but god brought me out of sin brought me to righteousness but somebody wave your hands if you know jesus did it somebody said all right we got all that noise all that noise y'all the devil look at your neighbor real quick said the devil thought he had me he thought i was dead he thought i would give up and never dance again but devil you a liar i'm gonna shout i'm gonna dance i'm gonna give god the glory somebody so say it say yes all right y'all dance your way dance your way back to your seat tell your neighbor don't block me now i'm not giving up i'm not giving in somebody shout god has kept me these 29 years is that a holy ghost it's almost like there's a holy ghost praise still bubbling like something is going on under the surface almost like you can't stay quiet just somebody give him the glory somebody magnify his word i mean it's been 29 years i still got a praise in my spirit does anybody still have a praise in your sanctified soul if you got a praise i'mma give you 30 seconds i want you to wave your hands i want you if god ever brought you out of anything i'ma give you 30 seconds to give god a holy ghost that might as well say what say it again i got a praise hey i got a praise and i gotta let it out i gotta break and i gotta let it out praise the lord um oh am all right we got to behave just a little bit bishop it looks like all the praise was pent up for tonight y'all brought all the worship with you tonight on this sunday night somebody clap your hands for don't know about you but david said i was glad when they said unto me let us go to the house of the lord amen we have so much that god has done for us we're grateful and uh i know we've said a lot of things and amen we have paid tribute to our bishop and sister davey and their family but i'd like us to clap our hands again for this man of god pastor davian lady david we thank god for them and what god has done with them and in them and through them in these 29 years and the best is still yet to come amen today amen the lord begin to move in the new life family of churches over at victory they had one more receive the baptism of the holy ghost amen over at belle glade and passed that phone from his son over at belle glade amen four were baptized in jesus name one received the baptism of the holy ghost then over in wesley chapel today amen two more were baptized in the name of the lord jesus christ over in sulfur springs two more baptized in the name of the lord jesus christ and brother wiggins over in seminole heights one was baptized today in the precious name of jesus amen amen two more baptized and to receive the baptism of the holy ghost amen and amen i want to give you also this testimony from kissimmee uh praise the lord is sent in from pastor smith out there in kissimmee he said now i want to talk about the healing power of god in february of 2021 i was diagnosed with a cancerous lesion in my liver cancerous lesion in the liver this year february but praise god he said i believe god for my healing and on august 8th while brother robinette was ministering here in the 6 p.m service right here in this building i went up for a healing and believed for healing he said i went for a follow-up right after the service the week after amen they did the ultrasound to see how much the cancerous lesion had grown and glory be to god it is all gone for i wish i had somebody i wish i had somebody that would shout because jesus is a healer he said it's all gone there is nothing there and it is a miracle healing from god no more cancer no more cancer come on thank god that is the pastor out in kissimmee praise god amen and god did a healing in his body praise the lord amen and we thank god for all the pastors that are with us from the family of churches tonight amen we appreciate all of our churches all of these pastors do so much work and we appreciate their families these families deserve a round of applause every pastoral family in this house all of the daughter church it's all right we ought to get up and clap our hands for all of the daughter church pastors out of new life tabernacle that are working so hard on the field it is a great sacrifice amen that their families have have put in place to do the work of god thank god for pastor balostera also amen and lady balostera from clearwater they ministered so ably told us to stretch out a little bit on friday night we thank god for them amen we want to express also christian sympathy sister judith wiggins and you know what our church is a family look at your neighbors say we're family praise god we look out for each other we pray for each other we encourage each other and we've got to continue doing that amen as long as the lord gives us a chance i want us to stand at this time and we want to honor this man of god as we bring our bishop our senior pastor before us would you clap your hands for him as he comes to address this congregation god bless you beloved you may be seated so good to be in the house of the lord one more time and to feel his presence bible said in his presence there is fullness of joy and we thank god for his loving kindness and his tend to mercy he's been good to us he's been kind he's done so much in our lives and we thank god for all that he is doing we want to welcome you here if you're here for the very first time we're delighted that you're here we trust you'll come back again if you're looking for a church home we'd welcome you here and it is a wonderful time you know we we've come this far by faith i mean 29 years and god has blessed us but i believe there's more in front of us than is behind us hallelujah i believe god is going to use us to do some great things before time wind down i think we have probably about 10 years to go and then time is just going to wind down and beloved i'm going to tell you i'm looking forward to it when i walk up the streets of gold my heart is going to rejoice and i know i'll remember all the things that god has done god has done some great things i mean god has done some healings and people came to new life sick and in the name of jesus healing god has been so good to us and i remember as i mentioned before when i came here they told me that we could not put an apostolic church in tampa and i said well watch because god sent me here and i know that god is not going to do any things that is not going to fulfill and so i'm excited about it but i'm telling you beloved i'm looking forward to what's ahead of us because i think we have some great things ahead of us and i'm thankful for all the faithful people of god because we can't do this thing if we don't have faithful people we need faithful people and i thank god for all of those faithful people i remember some of the years gone by i used to have all of them in the class just talking to them teaching them i didn't know that what would happen but god did all of that and i am so thankful that god has blessed us but we've got a lot more to do amen thank god for pastor collins i remember when he came to muslim we were on nebraska and he came and you know just over the years i watched him grow and get to a place sent him out to out to west tampa there and he did a great work and so forth and you know it's good to see when your children are doing something when you know you you know it wasn't in vain that you instructed them and so forth they start to produce and i look over some of these ministers and say yes lord hallelujah i just sit and enjoy it because i see that they're doing great things i think also about brother otis down in belgrade and god is blessing him he's working on renovating his church so that he can seat about 500 people and god is god is blessing all of the churches beloved and you know we have something like 20 of them now but you know i'm thinking about more like 80 of them we need to get ourselves to get up to 80. and you know i don't know this but i'm going to tell you this all of those churches that we're doing and so forth people don't even have to know who i am they don't need to all they need to know is that jesus touched their lives that jesus healed them that god delivered them we're just instruments that god is going to use so none of that is glory but when we walk up the streets of gold oh my heart is going to rejoice beloved and i'm hoping that i'll see all of you there all of you that are here tonight i'll see you in the thing about it once you get the glory your memory you know down here we just our member kind of on and off in glory you remember everything everything yes and so i'll remember all of you remember how you got saved some of you gave a little bit of on the side but hey you're doing all right thank you lord and i'm glad about it amen and god has some great things we have we have a great sanctuary to put up close to that cross i was talking to our general superintendent i told him we need 15 million we have it designed already we need 15 million if you have a check that you can give me for 15 million i'll jump off of this thing here you hear me i'm not walking down i'm jumping right off i'm not go just make sure it won't bounce and kill all of us in this place we've got a lot to do beloved and i'm excited and i know god is going to help us we're excited about what he's going to do and you just keep on keeping on and helping where you can help and i know the lord is going to bless you and make you a blessing tonight i'm going to introduce to you our district superintendent and pastor boyd i mean he's just a a wonderful man he's it's since i've been down here you know over 30 something years he's just been just a a wonderful colleague and then he's the the the man that is doing a lot of things here in florida and i appreciate him i appreciate the work that that he he does his his wife thank you brother ballisteria again here god bless you and all of the ministers who are here i thank you for coming and i trust that god will bless you and we want to we want to honor him so i want us to stand and i'm the lord what a great thing to be in the house of god and we give honor to bishop and sister davey we love them loved them dearly long long time friends and we didn't just meet yesterday we didn't just have lunch a few days ago we've been friends a long long time and i appreciate and love him we give honor to pastor and sister collins again the same could be said amen if i had half of his energy i'd be much better just just half but happy 29th anniversary what a tremendous milestone what a tremendous milestone to be here we give honor to all of the pastors all the ministers that are here i feel like the lord has brought us together on purpose and there is a purpose in all of this and uh so we we just honor you i'm so thankful to have my wife with me tonight amen we love her and appreciate her well we've had a lot of singing a lot of worship a lot of praise but do you have anything left amen let's go to the word of the lord shall we the book of genesis chapter 12 and i'm going to read just a couple of verses here two or three and let's just see what the lord will do in our midst here this evening amen the book of genesis chapter 12 and verse number 1. the bible says now the lord said unto abram get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred and from thy father's house and to a land that i will show thee and i will make of thee a great nation and i will bless thee and i will make thy name great and thou shalt be a blessing and then the lord just kind of takes it to another level he says and i will bless them that bless thee and i will curse him that curseth thee and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed what a tremendous promise but what a tremendous responsibility that this is going to come from you this will be in you amen and from this passage of scripture i want to give you my title tonight and i everything goes right this will make sense in the end but i want to preach to you tonight from this simple subject woven woven i'm glad i'm a part of the family of god but i don't want to just be clinging on to this thing with my fingernails i don't want to barely be hanging on i want god to do something in me and with me and i want to be woven into his divine plan and purpose amen may the lord bless you and you can be seated in jesus name from genesis 12 until this very day god has always had a people but things of that day are not really much different than things of this day because all throughout the history of scripture the children of israel we can never find where 100 of the people or the nation worship god but while there wasn't a hundred percent that was worshiping god god always had a remnant god always had a people in truth when we think about the children of israel coming out of egypt's bondage and on their way to canaan for all intent and purposes the an entire generation that came out of egypt died in the wilderness and in truth only their children survived amen this had been the promise of of genesis 12 that there would be a people and even against the backdrop of murmuring and complaining and god saying to moses on more than one occasion if you'll just move out of the way i'll take care of these people but god in his mercy he preserved a remnant and so in the children of israel the doubters doubted and the murmurers murmured and those that were charging moses foolishly kept hurling their insults they said things like would the god that we had just died in egypt now they have been delivered and brought out but somewhere they forgot about all of that and in the process of their deliverance they began to bemoan the absence of things like fish cucumbers and melons and leeks and onions and garlic somehow they forgot about the heavy-handedness of the pharaoh they were serving under they just somehow remembered the good and forgot the bad somehow they had forgotten that they were slaves under the heavy hand of pharaoh and because of this god said i am going to destroy them for their doubt and their unbelief and i am going to leave however a remnant of those from a certain age and below but you in the meantime are going to walk around this mountain again and again and the only thing that was changing about the landscape of their world was the number of tombstones that grew year by year by year but god true to his word said i will abraham i will take there is a land that flows with milk and honey it really does exist and i just feel like preaching to everybody in this house tonight to tell you that when god makes us a promise it doesn't matter how many things fall by the wayside along the way i want to be woven into the powerful promises that god has made that are yea and amen in both the old and the new testaments we can see references to the remnant and that's a key phrase and a very important phrase in scripture it's not just in the old testament we can find traces of it in the new in romans chapter 9 the bible says the sons of israel would be as the sands of the sea and only a remnant of them will remain in romans chapter 11 paul speaks of those that were chosen by grace the old testament writer micah said in chapter 12 in chapter 2 and verse 12 he talked about the gathering of the remnant of israel god said that i will set them like a sheep in a fold or i will gather them i will gather them like a flock in a pasture in the old testament we read and we hear many voices that speak about these remnants we read from writers like joel and isaiah and jeremiah and ezra and amos and they speak of these remnants when we cross over into the new testament we read of the writers of matthew and john and all throughout the writings of the apostle paul about those that remain i want to tell you tonight that i am thankful that i survive i'm glad that i am among those that remain now i don't want to go too far back on you or on myself either but i i have to very often in my morning prayer i have to include in that lord i want to thank you for the storms that are survived i want to thank you that i'm still standing i know that there have been times that we walked through valleys low and we couldn't tell if the sun was shining or not but somehow god's hand of grace stayed upon us am i preaching to anybody that's ever walked through some dark times am i preaching to anybody that's ever walked through some seasons of uncertainty but the hand of god just stayed on you because he said i am going to have a remnant i grew up hearing about i grew up here and preaching about the fact that god was going to have a church and god was going to have a body and i was taught and i believed not only from my pastor but from my parents that i could be a part of that group i could be up i could be with my name on that roll and so i may have staggered i may have stumbled and i may have made some poor decisions along the way but i'm thankful for the grace of god somewhere the word got in my heart i want to thank a sunday school teacher i want to thank a youth pastor i want to thank a family in the church that just said i i'm going to make one more call i'm going to just pray one more prayer and something got woven in my heart about the truth of god's word i'm thankful tonight to be a part of the kingdom of god amen i'll say something that's just been on my mind the last several weeks and i've repeated it often but i grew up in church church is all that i have ever known i'm thankful for that i'm thankful for godly parents and godly grandparents and i'm thankful for my heritage in the lord i'm among some tonight i know what it's like i've slept on pews and i've slept under pews i've had my hands stepped on from people that were running and dancing and shouting i've slept in the car on the way to church i slept in the car on the way home from church and because i was the youngest of all of our brothers i had to sleep in the floorboard because my brothers had the back seat and so i know what it's like i've been through a lot folks but i'm glad somehow somehow that the spirit of the lord had woven his truth inside of me and that he had woven me into the fabric of the chute of the church today and the day the day that we're speaking of amen is not much different than the day that we're living in we're living in a day that there's sadly some that are just along for the ride they're not sincere in their relationship with god and perhaps they're just playing the part amen in elijah's day in the largest day he started looking around and he heard the voice and the threat that was coming from him to him i'm going to take your life i'm going to see to it that you're annihilated and after a mighty outpouring of the spirit of god and the manifestation of the power of god not only god to the people but the anointing of god upon the life of elijah in first kings chapter 18 we are barely into the next chapter when we find this man that's struggling against a powerful spirit of discouragement it hung low like a cloud in his life he hides himself under a juniper tree and the lord amen was watching what was unfolding and elijah said to the lord something that we may have all felt he said and i and i only am left they seek to take my life and take it away but i just want you to know lord if i have to do this by myself it's just little on me and i'm trying to get by but i want you to know in that moment of self-pity it seemed as though the lord completely ignored what he had to say elijah said i'm in this all by myself and the lord come down and he spoke to him in verses 15 16 and 17 god gave him a plan of action that was sure to bring victory to elijah he said i want you to anoint hazy hell and i want you to make him king of syria and now i want you to anoint jehu and i want you to make him king over israel and then i want you to anoint elisha and i want him to be the prophet in my room and what god was doing was establishing some defenses that were three layers deep amen he said if they get past haziel then jehu is going to take care of it if they get past jehu then elijah is going to take care of it i'm going to tell you that god was trying to say to elijah you don't need to despair i've got the plan amen i'm going to tell you tonight we're 29 years into this ministry we're 29 years deep into this if we ever think one day i don't know if i can press on i don't know if i can go on god he's going to show up and say i've got a plan i've got a plan we are not in this alone and then it was as though god now is going to backtrack on him and he's going to go back to that little pitiful statement it was as though the lord was saying now considering that statement you made about being alone in the battle he said i just need to remind you that yet i have left seven thousand in israel and all these knees have not bowed into baal and every mouth has not kissed him what the lord was saying to elijah is i've got fourteen thousand these that have not bowed and i've got seven thousand set of lips that have not kissed the enemy lest you ever convince let the devil convince you that you're alone in this i want us to rise in our spirit and look around and realize that god has woven us into the family hallelujah god has woven us not just here in tampa and not just here in florida but all across our nation and around the world i'm glad to be a part of the church triumphant can you shout hallelujah he was saying elijah even when you can't see it they're there i'm going to unveil something i want to show you something i want to let you see that god has a plan when god is not when god is not visible i need to have a an assurance in my heart that his spirit is still at work you see we're not always in church on sunday night and we're not always in an anniversary celebration we're not always in a prayer group we're not always in a midweek bible study sometimes we are right by ourselves in our home on our job and in the automobile and the devil starts pressing in that we're all by ourselves and that's when we need to remind him that god has always had a church and he didn't just reach down and get me but i reached back and took a hold of him i'm not going to barely make heaven my home i want to cast my lot with a chosen few i'm not barely going to make it in but i want to give everything that i have every fiber in my soul every ounce of my being i want to give it to him god has always had a remnant of believers god had a remnant at the coming of the lord luke 2 specifically talks about simeon and anna and of course we're familiar with acts chapter 2 and those who were faithfully found in the upper room when the lord said just go terry until you be endue with power from on high they didn't understand the the magnitude of what they were being asked to do and they certainly didn't understand the magnitude of what was about to happen unto them amen the leaders of the nation had not just rejected their the their savior but they had crucified him but i want to tell you they didn't stamp it all out they didn't put the fire out because there was a rim that by faith walked into that upper room and they began to pray and tarry hallelujah to the spirit of the lord fail because god has always had a remnant praise god we can bring this down to a 21st century church i'm standing tonight privileged to look at a remnant i've had the privilege to regularly preach to people that are not ashamed to bear his name those that survived when the dust settled they were still standing we've watched people walk through perilous times of their own life walked through some deep valleys but somehow amen they had such determination in their spirit they may have walked in the doors of our sanctuary and their eyes were so to speak blackened and their spirits were bruised but they had not lost their song they had not lost their praise because god had woven them into his purpose his divine purpose hallelujah i want to be woven in scripture the meaning of the word remnant depends of course largely upon its context sometimes it refers to a physical thing or if it's in a physical sense but there are many other places where this reference is used in scripture and it is referring to a remnant in a spiritual sense it often refers to that remnant of people or that group of people that have placed their faith and their trust in god i want to tell you tonight that many of us are in this building because somebody just wouldn't quit they just wouldn't stop standing they just wouldn't stop walking they had opportunities to cash it in they had opportunities to throw in the towel they had chances to walk away but they just kept pressing on all manner of things happen all manner of things come against them but they decided i i didn't just begin this race i'm going to finish this race they decided i didn't just start out serving god but i'm going to finish serving god i'm going to make i'm going to make my way all the way no matter what it takes no matter what it takes in galatians 3 and 8 says of abraham end thy seed referring to our texts and i in thy seed shall all nations be blessed among others among many others the writer ezekiel refers many times to a remnant or those that would remain the bible says in ezekiel 6 8 yet i will leave a remnant that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations when ye shall be scattered throughout the countries god said i am going to have a remnant i am going to have a remnant god promises israel a remnant those that will escape the edge of the sword when they are scattered among the nations they're going to survive the scattering the promise amen that god made and god is true to his word amen it's from the bowels of his mercy it is from the wellspring of his compassion that he said i am not going to destroy all i am going to keep back a remnant god has always committed himself to preserve a part of this nation in this godly line of abraham those who expressed their faith in him as their messiah and even though some rejected and even though some walked away but god said i am going to spare somebody out of this in ezekiel 12 and 16 the writer says i'm the lord speaking i'm going to leave a few men of them from the sword and from the famine and from the pestilence and that they may declare all the abominations among the heathen whether they can't they come and they shall know that i am the lord i'm going to tell you that god has always had a voice and god has always had a people him and god was saying i'm going to have some amen that are going to lift their voices and they're going to declare the wrongdoing of the nation i'm going to have a people that'll stand and they're going to make it through this and those are going to know then that i am god i'm going to tell you what happens when we walk out of this saints you wear it tonight and you walk into your place of business tomorrow when you get to your job your very voice your very life is going to be a voice that stands and says there is a god there is hope in this city there is hope in this community amen we're going to stand and by our very presence and the anointing of god we're going to declare the righteousness and the holiness and the majesty of our god amen we're going to know that there is a god there is a god later god elaborates on this remnant and he explains this to his ezekiel in chapter 14 and verse 22 he said yet behold therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth both sons and daughters behold they shall come forth unto you and they shall and you shall see their way and their doings and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that i have brought upon jerusalem and concerning all that that i have brought upon it and they shall comfort you when you see their ways and their doings you shall know that i have not done without cause all that i have done in it saith the lord these survivors he said of them you're going to have both sons and you're going to have daughters and they're going to come forth and you're going to be able to see they are going to example their way and their doings or in other words you're going to be able to see their conduct and their actions i am not telling you tonight that we do not need to teach the word of the lord nothing could be further from the truth but i'm going to tell you some people are going to watch you they're going to watch when you walk into the grocery store and they're going to see your ways and they're going to see your conduct i'm preaching to people in this house that have had some stop you and say i don't know what there is about you but there's something different there's just something different i just feel something different it's because god said i'm going to have a people i'm going to have a people they're not always going to have a bible under their arm i'm going to have a people they're not always going to have to have a flip chart on their table but there's going to be something in their heart and the world is going to see your ways and they're going to see your doing and i'm going to tell you that some are going to walk through the doors of this church they're going to walk through the doors of your church because something in your heart is real you've been woven into the power and the fabric of the powerful hand of god hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah they're going to find comfort in an hour of calamity this god-fearing remnant these men and women who believe in the promises of god amid the many mention the many rather mentions of those that remain it is ezekiel 5 that says something that really stirs my heart and that is kind of the catalyst for my thought here tonight in ezekiel 5 god presents a word picture for the reader to be able to understand what he is speaking it's stunning and it is graphic i want to share with you just some opening scriptures here in this text and as we read these passages i just want you to and i want to invite you to just let your mind envision i want you to draw the word picture alone the bible says in ezekiel 5 1 the word of the lord that came to ezekiel he said and thou son of man take thee a sharp knife take the a barber's razor and cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy beard and then take the balances to weigh and divide the hair god is giving ezekiel some very unorthodox again some very unorthodox instructions and if you start feeling sorry for yourself just read about the life of ezekiel and i promise you you'll walk away from that and feel a little bit better about the things god has asked you to do amen and so he said i want you to take this razor and i want you to shave your head and your beard and so here is the picture that's being painted he said i i'm going to use this as an illustration i want you to do this so that i can show them what's going to happen to them the coming evil and so the prophet he represents the jewish nation and his hair represents the people and the razor represents the chaldeans and the cutting of the beard and the cutting of the hair represents the sorrow and the disgrace that is coming upon the people now i don't want you to think i'm trying to paint your world gray i'm going somewhere with this if you'll just stay with me for a moment amen cutting off the hair this was maybe not a big thing in the 21st century but it was a huge thing here because the cutting of the hair was a sign of two things it was either a sign of mourning or it was a sign of shame and disgrace and if we think about if we think about ii samuel chapter 10 i think we see no greater illustration of this being the shame for us it was a graphic story of how a man by the name of haman ordered his men to take david's servants and they were sent there for a good cause they were sent there there was no ulterior motive there was no ill agenda but haman he had somebody the wrong voice in his ear and they said you can't trust what david is going to do and so the scripture says that he cut off half of their beard and he cut off half of their garment and he exposed their nakedness and and he sent them home but these men couldn't go home because they were ashamed and so david said i want you to go in to to jericho and at jericho you can stay there until your beards be grown you can stay there until the shame has subsided and so that was what was going on here in the book of ezekiel it was the shaving of the head it was a time of mourning it was a time of shame everybody all right in ezekiel five he wasn't just ordered to shave his head cut his beard but he was instructed what to do with the hair this was to show the different kind of punishments that are going to come and so then the lord says i want you to take balances we're going to weigh this out divide this by three and these balances speak of the divine justice of god and they were to represent the exactness of which god would execute his judgment the hair divided into three equal parts and then he said we're going to dispose of this hair in the following manner one-third of this hair is going to be burnt and it's going to be burned in the midst of the city you're going downtown and we're going to burn this hair in the midst of the city where everybody can see it and this is to show how many are going to perish by famine and pestilence during the siege and then he said another third of this hair he said i want you to to cut it in small portions about the city in other words i want you to take one third of this and you just walk from place to place around this city and i want you to cut them to giblets this other third and this was going to signify the various attacks that are coming against the city and then of the remaining third he said i want you to take that remaining third and i just want you to cast it to the wind and this is going to speak of those that are going to be driven out and blown and scattered about during this season of captivity and oh this sounds horrible and truly it is but it was right here in the reading that the spirit of god got a hold of my heart ezekiel says something very interesting in chapter five and verse number three he said and thou shalt take thereof a few in number and we got one third that we're going to burn in in the city square and we got a third that we're going to chip up and we're going to scatter this all over the city and then we got a third that we're just going to cast to the wind but he said true to my word because i said to abraham that i'm going to have a people and i'm going to make of you a great nation and i'm going to take it to a land that flows with milk and honey he said i want you to take just a few of those hairs and he said i want you to bind them in your skirt and so from these few hairs shaving from his head he said i want you to bind them i want you to weave them amen i want you to weave them into the border of your skirt he didn't tell him you just take those few hairs and put them where you think they'll be safe he didn't say you take those tears and you put them in the in-ground safe in your tent no no no he didn't say you take those few hairs and you put them on a shelf so you'll know exactly where they are he said i want you to take these hairs with you wherever you go they're going to be there when you go to bed at night and they're going to be there when you wake up in the morning they're going to be there when the noonday sun is boiling down they're going to be there when you think all hope is gone hallelujah hallelujah i want to preach to every pastor in this house i want to preach to every shame in this house if you have any intentions i'm saying tonight god what i want you to do with me i want you to weave me into the prophet's garment i want you to weave me into the man of god's purpose i want you to weave me into the man of god's dream i want to be on his mind when he wakes up i want to be on his mind when he goes to bed hallelujah i don't want to be a peripheral member of this church i don't want to be on the outside looking in i don't want to worship if i feel like it i don't want to pray when it's convenient but i want you to take me lord and weave me into your purpose i want you to take me god and weave me lord weave me i want to be woven i want to be woven praise god i'm going to ask our musicians to come and i'm sort of closing has your pastor ever kind of sort of closed so don't gather up the kids i'm just being honest so i want to tell you pastor when you think nobody wants to hear what you had to say look down look down when you think that more people are walking away than they are coming i want you to look down i want you to look down hey man that you know when we're down that's just kind of where we look down when we're going through it that's just kind of where our eyes fall we kind of get down trodden and we're we're down cast but but he said ezekiel i i know that this is a heavy message for you and i know that this is not going to be fun to get up behind the pulpit and tell all of these people that i'm fixing to do a mighty work and destroy them but i just want to remind you of something sir i want you to take a few of those hairs before you burn and before you scatter and before you cut them i want you to take a few and weave them into the border of your garment amen because it's going to remind you that i'm going to have a church i'm going to have a people and i'm going to tell you tonight in the fear of the lord that no matter what happens in your life you've got to nail some things down as for me and my house i'm going to serve the lord hallelujah on sunday morning our children don't ever need to hear us trying to figure out if we're going to the house of god or not that decision was not just made last night or the night before we made that decision years ago if the doors are open i'm going to be there if the prayer room's unlocked i'm going in hallelujah hallelujah why because i got some things settled in my heart i got some things settled in my heart so how does a shepherd stay focused for 29 years i mean tonight we're looking at the end result of 29 years we're rejoicing and celebrating don't get quiet on me now we're looking at the high side but there's been some times we've been looking at the underneath side when it won't all come together and when you can't get it quite to line up and so how do you stay focused when the devil's trying to say you need to quit you need to cash it in well you just look down and when you look down you get a reminder i'm going to have a people and the lord said in the book of numbers the lord told moses he said i don't i don't want just my my messenger to be encouraged but i want the people to be encouraged they're on a journey they're on a journey and so i want you to tell them and i believe you can find this in numbers 15. he said i want you to tell them to bind a ribbon of blue where in the border of their garment amen in the border of their garment and when they look down and see that border they're going to be reminded of one simple thing i am the lord your god that brought you out of the land of egypt to be your god behold i am the lord your god hallelujah i'm going to tell you in everybody's life we need something we can look at that reminds us that i am the lord your god that brought you out of the land of egypt to be your god i am the lord your god and so i say today him and the reason we're here almost three decades later is because somewhere somebody decided i'm going to get woven into the purpose of what god is wanting to do i don't want him to just bring me out of the land of egypt and then me die somewhere along the way i don't want him to just bring me out of sin and somewhere i go back but i want you to know i made up my mind i cash it all in i threw in that i threw in everything i have and i said i am going to make it amen would you stand with me across this building praise god i i don't i won't just be hanging on this thing just because of a song because what happens if they stop singing i i don't want to just be hanging on this thing because i got a title or position what if time changes that i don't want to just hang on to the church because i have some responsibilities what if circumstances mirror it differently i got to be woven and when the wind blows and the wind will blow when the storms come and they will come when the clouds hang low i i got to be woven i got to be woven i don't want to follow from afar i don't want to be a distant follower i don't want to be somewhere in the background of all this but i want to be woven into the purpose and the plan of god as matthew 24 says to those that endure to the end that's that's who's going to be saved who's going to be saved who's going to be saved those that are woven all the way i made the journey all the way all the way ezekiel 2 and ezekiel 3 chapters 2 and chapters 3. scattered throughout these two chapters are pressing weighty words to the man of god he said i want you to just go preach ezekiel and if they hear you they hear you and if they forbear they forbear if they accept you they accept you if they reject you they reject you now we don't want to hear that but that's what the lord said he said all of this that they might know there was a prophet in their midst because when it's all said and done you know when judgment comes and somebody raises their hand and said i never knew he's going to be able to reach over here and he's going to pull ezekiel to the center stage and said oh no wait a minute i had a voice and there's other voices in this building that god's going to reach and pull center stage and say no no no amen i don't want to be a part of that crowd i want to be woven woven i wonder if i'm preaching to anybody tonight that says you know i'll join you in that i join you in that and you just step out of your seat and come down to the front of this building and you would commit yourself if you're here tonight without the baptism of the holy ghost there's not a better moment than right now if you say you know i just don't feel like i belong anywhere i'm just giving you an opportunity to belong somewhere tonight and i'm not asking you to just come and stand around the peripheral edge of a church but i'm asking you to let the spirit of god just do some weaving in your life amen is there anybody here that'll say i'm in lord i'm here i'm just going to come down would you come down join us across the front of this building if if you're comfortable doing that join us tonight if not i want you to make an altar where you stand and make a commitment where you are lord i'm going to be committed i'm going to be committed i want to be woven into your divine plan i want to be a part of what you desire to do lord in this day because you see god's going to have a church god's going to have a church the only question is are you going to be a part of it god's going to have a bride the question is are you going to be a part of it i want to say lord as for me as for me and my house we just cash it in as for me and my house lord we are given everything that we have i want to be woven i want to be woven can we lift our hands and our voices across this mirror in the name of the lord in the name of the lord this is oh you take it down for just a second amen would ask every pastor of every congregation pastor george i see you back there brought some 26 people with him tonight amen every pastor would you come to the front very quickly amen up here to this altar pastor george come on that's the ballast here come on all the daughter work pastors that are in the building amen i want you to come right up here to the front right right down here by the altar amen the man of god said something hid him in the spirit in ezekiel 5 the man of god just preached to us that he saw where they took some of the here and just kind of wove it in the garment of the prophet ezekiel i want you to know tonight amen that a lot of us are blessed because god has connected us with ministry and we are woven in and because we're woven in some of the blessing that fall on that man of god falls on us how many grateful amen for these 29 years of ministry and amen that god has rose up a prophet amongst us and not only has god risen up this man of god our bishop and a prophet but all of these pastors that you see here all of these men and women of god amen they have a prophetic anointing on their life and we want to be knit together with them how many want to be connected with these men and women of god want to be woven in so that the blessing that's on the bishop and that's on them that that blessing will pass down into everybody's life i need some some faithful people to come around them from the various churches that are represented here amen everybody doesn't have to come i know but i'm just one or two of you leaders or one or two of you ministers that would come and just lift up the hand of your pastor amen and just let them know that they're not by themselves that i'm woven into this thing pastor you're not going to have to worry about amen if you're standing alone you're not standing alone and if you see a man or a woman of god standing alone up here i want you to come to where they are and i say i want i want you to take on the bird and say i'm going to help him i'm going to help him i'm going to help him i'm going to help him i'm going to help him come over as quickly as you can amen amen amen pastor marin are you up here amen look at this praise god we've got folks from every walk of life while these singers are singing unto the lord tonight as these people are coming to pray with these men and women of god let them know that they're not by themselves would you lift your hands all over the building amen amen would some come right beside the bishop right here hallelujah brother lim where are you come on up here beside the bishop brother would you go right by the superintendent right here let him know that he's not by himself man of god you're not by yourself in the district i need some prayer warriors all over this building to stretch your hands out and begin to encourage these men and women of god i needed to begin to pray with a loud voice for them i needed to storm heaven i needed to call on jesus for them and begin to declare that no weapon formed against them or their spouse some of you need to pray for their wives amen i need some of you prayer warriors to pray for their children but i want you to pray tonight that god almighty would strengthen them and help them and encourage them and that no weapon formed against them would prosper amen hallelujah hallelujah come on pray to god let's ask god to do it oh hallelujah thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus come on lift up the hands of those men of god lift up the hands of those people oh thank you jesus there's a remnant tonight hallelujah hallelujah glory glory glory glory glory glory globe trusting in his holy words somebody said oh thank you
