expectations to be met tonight and i know that the god that we serve is in the house so those who need those things to be met can be met in jesus name but i'm asking if there's a church right now in apostolic church to stand in the gap for these people that as we open up our voices and start to pray that things will start to happen and if you feel that way help me pray tonight for these names on the monitors and if you do have an expectation or something that you need god to move in your own life come on and lift it up before the lord tonight heavenly father we thank you jesus we bless you right now god we magnify you jesus we exult your name god you sit high and look down low jesus said lord god there's no other god like you lord god we come before you right now god action god that you would have your way into service lord we're coming in with expectation god and faith believing in knowing god that there is nothing too hard for you god we come asking god that you would heal your people god action god that you would make ways for your people on tonight lord god those who are coming in for the first time god and who are trying to fill the void hallelujah i pray god that they find exactly what they need on tonight lord god reaction lord jesus that you'll move amongst the pews in this church god and let people to understand and know that you are still here that you are still vivid god that you are still able to move those times are changing we are still serving the game god today yesterday and forever you are the same god who can heal you're the same god who can deliver you're the same god who can utter his voice and things will change you're the same god who can speak life into dead situations so god way action that you speak life in our situations on tonight god with destiny from a move from you god we need you to have your way in this place god we're acting right now god that as we stand in the midst of your presence god let your power fall god let your power fall god we need a demonstration of the holy ghost on tonight god we need you to move lord god i pray jesus let this sin not be church as usual but god let there to be something that just stirs up the saints god let your power to fall so that god that we cannot stand oh god but we will reverence you god and we will bend down in all of you god we need you to have your way god we are thanking you right now god for what you're going to do we thank you god for the healing that's going to take place we thank you god for the souls that are going to be saved tonight we thank you lord god for those things oh god that we need you to meet cause god we know that you can do exceedingly abundantly and above all that we can act so think of touch the man of god who is bringing the word on tonight we ask right now that the word would be a rhema word that the word would convict us oh god that the word would draw us to you lord that the word would strengthen us for the head of the reflect quite often over the years that god laid his hand on me and took me out of sin and brought me into the church of the living god and sometime when i reflect on some of the people that i've known over those years i said god has been good god reaches in places that we did not even think of he get people that we didn't even think of people get saved that we thought could not be safe but god is such a good god one songwriter said when he reached down his hand for me i was lost and undone but god reached his hand down and pulled so many people out of sin that we just have to love him love him because he first loved us man we weren't that lovable but god loved us praise god because it was it was really left to the human agency then many of us would not be here tonight but god looked beyond all of those things our shortcomings all of the things that we were doing and he still save us and that that's why i love him so very much and i appreciate god and what he is doing and i know that god will continue to bless us and will continue to give us the things that we do need 2021 is the year of planting our hopes and so we need to have some things in god and then we need to plant them we need to water them and then they will grow and produce what is necessary i know i did a lot of work on the farm and when you planned some things you've got to make sure it has all of the necessary ingredients to grow has to have water you have to fertilize it get it various minerals and then when you [Music] make sure all of the the things that are around that not supposed to be there pulled out pull out the grass all of these weeds make sure the sun is there and it's going to grow and it's going to produce and i know over over the years the lord really you know had blessed me with some good things and working on the farm some of the things that people didn't think would produce once i touch it once i start looking over it it produced big time big time even when i came here to to tampa used to plant some peppers and i mean the pepper tree it grew we've never seen pepper tree grow like that grew up to the second floor with produced pepper i was supplying house of meat with pepper i mean god any anything i touch like that god just just increases it i've been back there and he asked me are you going to start supplying any pepper i said no i don't have the time to do that anymore but god is such a good god and i thank him so much this is why i love him so much because he does so much for me and beloved let's keep loving him let's keep doing the will of god and god will bless us and he will strengthen us and encourage us and cause us to grow and produce this of course is our 29th church anniversary that is coming up beginning on friday and we're excited about it 29 years we've accomplished some things but i'm still looking for some greater things [Music] i think what we have accomplished so far is minimal but god is going to do some great things hallelujah and god is going to save people that's that's what we're all about people being saved come to know god get the holy ghost live for god come out at sin put away the beer bottle forget about the realm forget all of that foolishness and live for god hallelujah some of them could sing they could i mean do some great singing here hallelujah amen and we want them to come and get saved and then you know we're doing church planting we're doing at least six this this year the balance of this year we want to keep working on that and then of course we have a great project down in south florida god remind me about that from time to time and we're going to do the best we can hallelujah paul at one time said i fought a good fight finished my course kept the faith so we want to do that beloved we want to do all of that so we can repeat what paul said for the good fight because we want to hear well done in that day amen and i want you to do the best you can keep on keeping on and the lord is going to open doors doors that people didn't think could open god will open them praise god and god is going to help us to reach this lost world because we are the last generation before the lord comes i'm looking forward to that time when we'll hear well done so keep on keeping on don't let the devil try and cause you to shut down and stay home some people are staying home because of the virus and they felt well the lord won't protect them because he doesn't know about it well i asked myself the question suppose the lord caused all the apostolic to die off what would happen all the folks would go to hell because there's nobody to teach them and people can only be saved based on what peter preach at pentecost i don't care where they come from i don't care what kind of qualification they come if they don't if they don't obey what peter preach at pentecost they can kiss heaven goodbye [Music] and so god is never gonna let all the apostolic die off because then that would mean everybody else going to hell and that's not happening so this virus here beloved i tell you what [Music] god is still in control you may get fearful and staying home and get your doors locked and you know poured up your window i'm not doing any of that hallelujah to god because god is still the god that is still able songwriter said i know he's able thank you jesus that's why i love him so much beloved so god chapter three we'll be reading verses one through eight ecclesiastes chapter three verses one through eight i give honor to our leadership here and i'm thankful that this is a church of growth and bishop propels us to grow and as he mentioned anything he touches grows and we should be thankful for that even when there's growth in our life that we're not comfortable with because there may be certain areas in your life that are growing that will require some discipline there's some areas in your life that are growing that you weren't ready for you thought well maybe i'd have to start making those sacrifices a few years from now or maybe i'd have to be more spiritually in tune a year from now but but growth oftentimes will be an uncomfortable thing but we should be thankful for it especially when it's part of the vision of this church and especially when it's such a large component of what new life is and what new life does so we give honor to our leadership to bishop davey his family the sacrifices they've made also to pastor collins and his family and the sacrifices they make as well we are blessed people ecclesiastes chapter 3 verses 1 through 8 it says to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven a time to be born and a time to die a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted a time to kill and a time to heal a time to break down and a time to build up a time to weep and a time to laugh a time to mourn and a time to dance a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing a time to get and a time to lose a time to keep and a time to cast away a time to run and a time to sow a time to keep silence and a time to speak a time to love and a time to hate a time of war and a time of peace and i want to preach to you the topic today something worth mourning i want to talk to you and i know it's wednesday so it's more of teaching as opposed to preaching but i it's really on my heart that the lord wants new life to realize that there is something that is worth mourning pastor could you pray for us god father i thank you for your word tonight thank you for your servant lord jesus i pray that you anoint him and strengthen him put your word in his mouth and in his heart lord god i pray you open our hearts to receive your holy word that you will change us that you will save us that you would deliver us that you would heal us lord through your word pray the atmosphere will be affected forever lord jesus and the trajectory of our lives will change forever that we be drawn closer to you lord jesus anoint us from the crown of our head to the soul of our feet your word is already anointed we thank you tonight lord that the devil is already bound lord jesus i pray he be bruised under our feet today in jesus name that your name would be glorified and magnified in this place and that salvation would be wrought we give you glory honor and praise in the mighty name of jesus christ somebody ought to say amen amen amen you may be seated in the house of the lord something worth mourning in this life that we live we have to understand that there are seasons for everything in the scripture i read we it shows us that not everything will always last there's there's some times where there is going to be change and we witness it even when we examine seasons now i know as floridians we only really have kind of two seasons the first season is everything outside of the winter months that's just rainy and hot and humid and then our second season is when it it's at least bearable you know winter time it feels comfortable those those are really the seasons that we have but for many who live up north they get to experience four seasons they have winter which is my favorite season just because the air is finally breathable in tampa i know some people enjoy the snow and i enjoyed the snow until i actually had to drive in it and there's some people that enjoy spring a sign of new beginning there's some that enjoy summer and there's some that enjoy fall where the leaves begin to change and as much as we may enjoy those seasons as time passes along we transition and shift into a new season and even as we examine this year 2021 i remember 2020 we were hoping that it would just end by any means whatsoever however we have to realize that we're already in september there's only four months remaining september october november december the the year is is almost finished it's it's almost done why because things are constantly changing and in the scripture we read it's comparing and contrasting uh two different things in each line a time to kill and the opposite would be a time to heal time to break down a time to build up and so on and so forth things are constantly changing but what stuck out to me was a time to mourn and a time to dance especially in the world that we live in it can seem easy for us to find things that are worth mourning over worth being distraught about and to mourn means to lament to have a deep lament or sorrow the visual there is to tear at the hair brother o'neill just imagine with me to tear at the hair no i'm kidding o'neill's one of my best friends so we can play like that nobody else play like that but to tear at the hair to beat at the chest to have deep sorrow and anguish and in scripture if you're lament if your sorrow if your morning was so great or grand there were some people that would even rend their garments or tear their garments now when it came to tearing your garment this was a sign that you're basically giving up i give up i'm so frustrated i'm so upset or sorrowful that i'm giving up and it's interesting that the high priests were individuals that were instructed to never rend their garments because they should never give up and never especially never give up on god and what god is doing in their life it's interesting also that the high priest in the time that jesus lived he actually did rent his garment he was so upset he in his frustration anger he rent his garment but jesus our true high priest his garments were never rent but deep sorrow and anguish there there are times in life where it may seem appropriate to mourn especially as we begin to examine this world that we are living in especially when we hear news after news report after report but i find it interesting to see what upsets people these days i find it interesting to see what truly causes someone to mourn because whatever causes them to mourn is truly an expression of something that they cared about that was lost there are certain things that you might mourn over that i'm not going to mourn over i don't see the value in those things i don't see the importance of those things and it's interesting because some people especially in this day and age they'll be so upset about the pronouns you use make sure you address me incorrect pronouns he him she her yes that's a thing these days but the same people that will be upset by incorrect pronouns being used to address them are the people that will not shed a single tear for a baby being aborted it's a difference in priorities it's it's them realizing what they feel is worth mourning over what they feel is worth fighting over what they feel is worth complaining about and they will shout it till they can shout no more they'll be so upset it was interesting because as you examine these things you can truly as i mentioned see what is important and see how people are thinking recently the texas law was passed and it went and it passed in the supreme court banning abortions that are past six weeks so after six weeks in texas you cannot get an abortion it's not legal to get an abortion and things may have changed so don't don't you know consider that set in stone you never know but at least as of now that's what i'm aware of and it's so interesting because my first thought when i heard that news was man can they can they just push it to when when conception begins can't they push it can't they instead of six weeks could they try five or four or three or two or one can they that was my first thought but that wasn't the first thought of this world the first thought of this world the where people were so upset and they said that's not even enough time for people to realize they're pregnant we need to extend it to where there's more time so people can realize it's just a shifting in priorities and some people will mourn over certain things because they consider it valuable and others won't it's it's interesting to see what people mourn over and in this day and age as priorities are shifting in this day and age as things are constantly changing it is crucial it is important it is pivotal that the church does not get caught up in that mess it is so important that we stay grounded and god is wanting to speak to his people tonight to help us realize what is truly worth mourning what is truly worth being upset about what is truly worth crying your eyes out what is what is truly worth keeping you up at night to where you just wait you're just waiting and hoping and praying for morning to come so you can at least try to start over what is worth mourning they're selective in what makes them angry and recently i saw a post given everything happening in iraq and as a father this hit home for me but i saw a post about the underground church in kabul afghanistan and i don't remember who posted it so sorry for not shouting you out and you may be here you may not but it was a post about the christians who were martyred for christ they died for christ in kabul and it moved me because as the report was saying there were some last words of that underground church of the people who were leading there and in kabul afghanistan if you don't know right now it is chaotic basically terrorists are running the country and they're executing all those that they deem fit for execution allies of america christians whatever they see but it was recorded in the post that these were the last words of those who were martyred it was a phone conversation that was happening as they were speaking to those who were in kabul afghanistan the church there the people at the church says we feel your prayers because the supernatural boldness came over us and we are singing in the spirit and this next line is what moved me i text my wife immediately this this next line just really just gutted me it said even the kids said mom we will not deny jesus and it's said that as they were on the phone the people who were calling those in afghanistan they then heard screaming and gunshots i thankfully at least up till now i don't know what the future holds i don't know what laws will be passed i don't know what we will have to face at the church but right now i don't have to imagine what it's like to comfort my child and tell him don't worry it's gonna be okay when people are beating down doors ready to execute us i don't i don't i don't have to have that conversation with my child i haven't had to but but as you just began to imagine what it would be like to tell that to your child just imagine holding them in your arms that someone points a gun at them can you just imagine for a moment and it's so easy for us to get caught up in things that truly don't matter it's so easy for us to get so upset so frustrated if we don't get the house that we wanted because someone swooped it up and we're distraught because we didn't get that 50 cent promotion that we thought we were due for even though we just got another promotion a few months ago we get so upset and we're so distraught about things that are not worth mourning frustration overcomes us for things that have no eternal value we become distraught and our prayers are now shifting to things that do not matter carry no weight does not even affect your eternity but we mourn and cry and weep we we we we come here on saturday mornings before service and we we read all the different prayer requests and and there's times where we're praying for other people but then our own selfish thoughts what we want what we prioritize what we deem as important takes over and now shifts the focus of our prayer shifts our priorities and though some may not even be moved by the idea of these children being executed because well that's not my family that's not something i've had to experience but yet we're so afraid to reach out so afraid to extend a helping hand to those that need so afraid to be used for the sake of the gospel and i'm not here to say that we need to shift to a point where we become emotionalism god didn't intend for us to be robots that's why he gave us emotions it wouldn't be fair for god to tell us you can never be angry if he's the one that made us and gave us that inclination or sorrow i'm not saying we must be robots but we have to be able to control our emotions we cannot let our emotions overtake us and shift our focus to things that are not important we must not eliminate emotion however we cannot let emotion control us cannot let it affect our posture we're royalty we're we're children of the king we we are people who are blessed beyond measure we have to control what mourns us what causes us to mourn what causes us to weep what causes us to cry and child of god i don't plan to be before you long but i want to speak to you tonight and i want to talk to you about what is actually worth mourning but in order to do so i want to eliminate a few things that are truly not worth mourning that as a church as a people of god we have to shift our mindset shift our focus away from these things being able to drive us and move us and cause us to act first i want to talk about what is not worth mourning and that is a blessing lost a blessing lost now i know we celebrate the blessings that we receive and i'm thankful for it raise your hand if you don't like blessings no i'm kidding i won't do the is this microphone off but but everyone here likes blessings we we enjoy raise your hand if you enjoy blessings yeah especially blessings from god but blessings are not worth mourning genesis chapter 12 verses 1 through 3 it says now the lord had said unto abram get thee out of that country and from thy kindred and from thy father's house into a land that i will show thee and i will make of thee a great nation and i will bless them that bless thee and make thy name great and i will thou shalt be a blessing and i will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curseth thee and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed and this is a covenant that he's making a promise he's making if you do these things i will bless you and if you do this i will do that and this is a great example of a conditional covenant there's times where we have to do things to gain the favor and blessings of god but that last verse is instructive because as he's speaking he's saying i will make of thee a great nation but he says i will bless thee and make thy name great thou shalt be a blessing but he says i will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee but this last part and indeed shall all families of the earth be blessed the reason god is blessing you is so that you can be a beacon of hope and people can see the difference in your life the reason god is elevating and blessing you is so people can say wait well hold up everybody else is getting fired why do they still have a job and then that will point them to god because they'll have to come to conclusion well they haven't been here longer than me they they're not as smart as me i looked up you know uh their their gpa they're not they're not as intelligent they're not even as tenured how do they and they have to eventually come to the conclusion that it's the hand of god on their life so all those in the land of abraham all those are in that time they're saying wait a sec this man just left all his family he's about as old as dirt and yet he's being blessed and now he's having at his age and it points to the fact that only god was able to do it so as people of god our blessings aren't really for us they are in part because god is blessing and elevating us but they're really supposed to be where people can see the difference in our life and be drawn to christ so if we lose blessings if we had blessings and the next moment they're gone we shouldn't mourn because they were never ours in the first place god was just giving it to us as stewards for his kingdom for his purpose for his glory we have to shift our mind away i'm not saying we shouldn't desire blessings i love singing about we're blessed in the city blessed in the fa i love the blessings of god but it shouldn't take away our focus from the motive behind the blessing why god is elevating us why god is positioning us as a church to where other churches are shutting down to where where other churches don't have consistent leadership thank you why is it that we're being blessed in such a way it's so that others can be drawn to what god is doing in our lives it's not for our own glory that house as good as it is god can take it away tomorrow it's not worth mourning that car and i deal with total loss a lot a lot of times people get in car accidents and they completely their vehicle is a total loss that that car is not worth mourning it's not worth mourning because you can always get another car a better house and often times when the blessing is taken away sometimes it's god just wanting to see how we'll react sometimes it's god taking away something of little value to then give us something of greater value so we can't mourn over things we can't we can't cry over things that have little importance the other day i was taking away a cardboard box for my son and i was getting ready to hand him a brand new toy and he's mourning over a box but i had something greater for him it's a it's it's a misunderstanding of what truly is important so first and foremost blessings are not blessings lost are not worth mourning secondly a thing that is not worth mourning and please follow my thought delicately i tread this point lightly but a child of god returning home is not something that we should have bitter weeping over i'm not saying you can't be hurt by it because i i do wish i could have another lunch time with pastor minister dion kerr i do wish i just i actually got a reminder of a facebook post today of years ago where there's a conversation between myself her and sister kenyatta via text where pastor carr was asking us about a watermark on an invitation she's like why does that watermark look like a little girl with the face of a cow and sister kenyatta and i are like what in the world are you talking about it's just a watermark she's like oh okay my bad and we just had a little laugh because she saw something in the the little design that we didn't see and it just made me laugh but i bring that up to point out the fact that i still mourn i i miss her but if i truly think about where she is now i have no reason to mourn in fact i should be happy for her the reason i'm mourning if i'm if i'm just going to be honest is a little bit of selfishness because i miss her i want to hear from her i need her encouragement and as we lose people who are going to heaven heaven is their home we should not mourn rather we should rejoice i'm i should rejoice because minister carr didn't have to deal with covid i should rejoice because she's not in pain anymore i i should rejoice because she's where i want to be so i should be happy but but we have to battle against our own emotion battle against our own desires battle against what we think is worth crying over i'm not saying you can't cry but our priorities have to begin to shift you wish you could have hugged them longer you mourn over words unspoken yes it hurts because we think of missed opportunities things i should have say things i should have done but you will see them one day and then you can tell them all the things you wanted to say you can talk to them you can catch up on things and they're truly in a better place romans 8 38-39 says for i am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor death nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of god which is in christ jesus our lord they are in a better place and nothing can separate them from the love of god that's something we should chase after we if if we lose out on the love of god if we lose out on the mercies and if if we lose out on god if we lose christ that is something that is worth tearing out your hair over if if the rapture were to take place and you missed it then that is a cause to weep and mourn and lament and be sorrowful but for those going to heaven we should rejoice and be glad am i saying you cannot shed a tear absolutely not because i've cried over lost saints i've cried over lost family members or heaven was their home but we should not mourn because they truly are in a better place another thing we should not mourn is the crucifixion of christ that's something we should celebrate because that brought us freedom that brought us liberty and and think about just imagine what the disciples were going through in that moment would it be fair to say that they were probably mourning absolutely or say hey we're supposed to take over and overthrow the roman empire well that's gone but really it was something worth rejoicing over because god was doing something greater than they could even realize or comprehend and there will be things in your life that will happen that your initial reaction is to mourn and be sorrowful but sometimes it's best to just take a step back and see what god is doing and wait for god's plan to truly come to pass and i want to next secondly talk about things that are worth mourning and that is one thing the one thing that truly is worth mourning is a soul being cast into the lake of fire that is what is truly worth mourning i had a dream and i won't share too many details because we we love our child and we get emotional if we ever have bad dreams about anything happen to them but i had a bad dream about my son and something happened to him and he was hurt and in the dream it felt so real i was overcome with emotions and i was so distraught and i don't want to describe what happened to him in the dream but in the dream i was holding him and and i woke up afraid i woke up upset and i i ran to where he was and i checked on him he was all right he was okay and i hugged him and everything was okay but if he were to die today i believe heaven is his home he's not at an age of accountability bishop you could correct me but he's not at an age of accountability where he truly does understand right and wrong and though we may mourn for aborted children and and that is something that should cause us to want to take action heaven is their home they don't have to deal with what we've dealt with and it may sound contrary to me saying how much i love my son and then comparing it to how much i need to control myself but if my son repents of his sins as baptized in jesus name receive the holy ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues live a holy consistent lifestyle heaven is his home but if i were to lose him of course i would be upset but where i should really be upset and really mourn is if my son didn't make heaven if my family or loved one didn't that's when we should mourn that's when we should be sorrowful and think about the millions of lives who are lost constantly who are dying and go to hell they are worth crying over they are worth mourning i'm not here to say you cannot cry over lost loved ones but truly think about what is happening and how it affects that individual's eternity and that will help you understand if it's worth mourning or not if it's worth grieving over revelations 21 8 it says but the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death but we should still mourn that that's another soul lost we should still be sorry because they had the potential to be our brother or sister in christ they had the potential to be the next least stone king we should mourn over that missed opportunity they had the potential to be the next victor jackson we should mourn over that soul and we don't know their background we don't know what they experience we don't know what caused them to be a whoremonger or abominable or a murderer we don't know what but we should mourn over the soul that was lost because souls have true value souls have true importance they have eternal lasting value my house my car my my material things those don't have eternal value even mark 8 36-30 it says for what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul or what shall a man give in exchange for so what can you give what value can you place on a soul whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words is in this adulterous and sinful generation of him also shall the son of man be ashamed when he cometh in the glory of his father with the holy angels i don't want to miss out on heaven because my priorities weren't right i don't want to miss out on heaven because i was mourning over the wrong things david mourned over the loss of that baby job mourned over the loss of his family and resources and surely the disciples mourn but if you look many times when they face persecution they had a different mindset now this is after they received the holy ghost mind you but it came to a point where they were being persecuted and in fact they began to rejoice because they says you know it makes me more like christ you know what i'm enduring i'm thankful that i'm able to endure just part of what christ endured it's a shift and there are something worth mourning and that is a soul so child of god do not fear death do not prioritize material things over eternal provision from god do not be so caught up in the temporary that we miss out on the eternal don't be so caught up in the things with little to no value that we miss out on the things that have true value god is wanting to shift our mindset because he's shifting us into a greater season he's shifting us now into a time of harvest but the mindset you have in harvest is going to be different than the mindset of drought and god is positioning this church for a beautiful time of harvest but our minds have to be right we have to know what is important and what isn't important that was the problem with israel israel he had to get rid of that generation that was in egypt he had to kind of weed them out and kind of kind of sift them out as as chaff because they had a mindset that they needed to get rid of in order to attain what god had him for in store for them new life god is positioning us but our mindset must change and our mindset must be strong to where every news article doesn't cause us to compromise on standards to where a new political position doesn't cause us to question if heaven is even worth pursuing we we have to be sure and we have to know what is worth mourning so now that we know what isn't worth morning and now that we know what is worth mourning what is the position and posture that we must take as a child of god and that is one of rejoicing as we move into this time of harvest there are going to be things that will happen that might cause us to become distracted and might cause us to not realize what god is truly doing and can cause us to not appreciate what god is trying to doing but if we can have the right mindset and know that my position no matter what is going on is going to be one of rejoicing you'll be able to truly receive what god has for you individually and what god has collectively for us is a church body but we have to shift our mindset there may be news articles that will move me or reports of what happens in other nations that might move me more than what happened to the church in afghanistan being martyred i don't know but i know that now is a time where i need to rejoice now is a time where we have to shift our mindset now is a time where we must celebrate what god is doing in our lives does this mean that nothing bad will ever happen to us again no that's not what i'm saying but when it does have the right posture when it does do not run your garment don't give up on god don't don't be frustrated don't don't question what god is trying to do but stand sure in what god is trying to do and have the right mindset begin to rejoice i know you lost out on some family members begin to rejoice because if they're not dead yet that means god can still save them that means god can still bring them back i know your things aren't working out on the job but but just trust to know that god is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think that's why we should take no thought for this world take no thought for this life don't be caught up in what this world has to offer don't don't be caught up in the beautiful trappings of this world but shift your mind to the kingdom because now is a time when we must rejoice we must be thankful of the harvest that is to come because now is the time of harvest now is the time of celebration we should not mourn things that have no value but rejoice because as things get worse and worse and worse it's a sign that god is drawing closer and closer and closer as things get darker and darker in this world rejoice because it means that the church will shine brighter and brighter as more and more begin to be martyred for the kingdom you must realize that's just a sign that god is going to show himself strong how long will he see us have to endure these things without taking action rejoice and realize that god's vengeance god's justice is soon to arrive so shift your mindset begin to rejoice begin to thank god begin to celebrate what god is doing begin to celebrate what god has already done and begin to celebrate what is soon to come what god is going to do shift your mind said i know we get frustrated whenever bishop says look if i were to go today i'd be happy i'd be okay with it we all kind of clinch up and and get a little bit uneasy because we love our bishop we we love our leadership but he's saying that because his mindset has his mindset has shifted he's he's thinking about what truly is important heaven and a relationship with god and seeing my savior one day that's more important than any car that's that's more important than any house he's trying to get us to shift our mindset yes it is uncomfortable yes we may hear some things in our natural flesh we don't like to hear but it is now a time to rejoice we must rejoice we must celebrate because now we are in a time of harvest the time of mourning has come to an end now is a time where if we do more than anything let it be a loss so let that move you don't don't let your credit score move you the way that a lost soul might move you don't don't let a house on the market move you the same way that the drug addict dying and going to the lake of fire should move you shift your mindset some things are worth mourning and some things are not so now is the time to rejoice now is the time to celebrate it's interesting because in ecclesiastes the opening text i read verses 1 through 8 it talks about how there's a time and a season for everything and many times we just stop right there and i've done it too but it says what prophet he that worketh in that we're in he laboreth what what are we working for he says i have seen the travail which god hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it he hath made everything beautiful in his time also he has set the world in their heart so that no man can find out the work that god maketh from the beginning to the end we don't know what god is doing we don't know we may see a loved one lost but but that loved one lost might be the one that draws other people to church to where they repent of their sins and they get baptized at the funeral and and i i hear now we have baptisms even at weddings and and people get in the holy ghost we we have to shift our focus and he says after saying that god maketh from beginning to the end he says i know that there is no good in them but for a man to rejoice and to do good in his life and also that every man should drink and everyone the good of his labor it is the gift of god church we must celebrate church we must be excited about what god is doing and whatsoever god doeth it shall be forever nothing can be put to it the promises that god has given you the miracle signs and wonders that we've experienced and and are experiencing even now and are yet to see we must celebrate we we must realize that that god when god does it it'll be forever and nothing can be put to it nothing can affect it nothing can take away from it and and if god do with it that men should should fear before him that which hath been is now and that which is to be already been and god requires that which is bad understand god is ultimately in control and though we exist in time he's already seen that blessing come he's already seen the families being saved he's already seen it so we now need to shift our mindset i know it can be tough because we are temporary beings and and we're born with temporary things surrounding us and this flesh is temporary but but you have a soul that was made by god and that soul is eternal so begin to shift your focus shift your mindset to the things that that are of god begin to think on the things of god begin to think about the things of the kingdom begin to to stop worrying or being concerned about what they tweet about you or or what posts they tag you in don't don't be worried or concerned when things from your past start to rear their ugly head and and you begin to question well maybe maybe i never was really saved maybe maybe if you begin to question just rejoice because god will show himself strong now is a time where we must rejoice now is a time where we must celebrate psalms 100 a psalm of praise make a joyful noise unto the lord all ye lands serve the lord with gladness not with sorrow not with anticipation of the next trial or test or or frustration or anger but serve the lord with gladness come before his presence with thanksgiving don't don't with singing don't don't come before his present with complaint and don't don't come before his presence with frustration and anguish and fear but come before his presence with singing know ye that the lord he is god it is he that had made us and not we ourselves we are his people and the sheep of his pasture enter into his gangs with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name for the lord is good his mercy is everlasting and his truth endure to all generations child of god rejoice shift your mindset shift your focus don't be concerned and i'm here to tell you that things are getting worse and they're going to get worse but if you had the right focus if you had the right mindset if you know what is worth mourning and what is not worth mourning it'll be easier for you to endure it'll be easy for you to trust and it'll be easier for god to use you for his purpose and use you for his glory but we have to rejoice now is a time where we as people of god must rejoice everyone else is crying and mourning and complaining but we have chosen to rejoice everyone else is frustrated everyone else is giving up but we must rejoice because we know what's important and what isn't we know that god can take away something and god can give us something new we know the god that we serve we know a god that is able to do more than we can ever imagine or comprehend in ways that we can never think you never know what god is doing because some might mourn the fact that that church was martyred and this is just me letting my brain kind of wonder but in my mind i'm thinking what about the people of that church that survived maybe they were all wiped out i don't know but what about those who maybe have escaped and are now spreading the gospel in ways and before where there were some people that weren't receptive to the gospel in afghanistan maybe now because of the turmoil and the chaos their hearts ready to receive the gospel their heart's ready to receive hey you're talking about salvation when america left me when when when when i'm stuck i was an ally and now i'm a man when when all that you're telling me that there's salvation okay i'm ready to receive but but maybe months prior they weren't maybe months prior there was no progress we do not know what god is doing in this day and this hour he gives us dreams he gives us visions his spirit leads us and guides us he gives us his word whether it's the the preach word or whether it's the written word he gives us these things but we don't know what he has planned so church take the position of rejoicing can we stand at this time psalms 103 and i'm closing with the scripture a psalm of david bless the lord o my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name bless the lord all my soul and forget not all his benefits who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy diseases who redeemeth thy life from destruction who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies who satisfy thy mouth with good things so that the youth is renewed like the eagles the lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed he made known his way unto moses his acts unto the children of israel the lord is merciful and gracious slow to anger and plenteous in mercy he will not always chide neither will he keep his anger forever he hath not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities for as the heaven is high above the earth so great is his mercy toward them that fear him and as far as the east is from the west so far hath he removed our transgressions from us we have plenty to rejoice in a rejoiceless complaining society we have plenty to rejoice and this altar is open for those who maybe you want to pray maybe you want to just rejoice and you just want to thank god for what he is doing but but i believe that god is wanting to shift our focus as a church i believe that god is preparing us for a great season of harvest but if our mindset isn't right if we're if we're prioritizing things that have no importance we might miss out on what god has in store for us so rejoice because there are some things that are worth mourning but there are some things that are worth rejoicing over [Music] let's clap our hands a little bit more unto the lord maybe there's somebody here that says you know what [Music] that message just now is forcing me to really confront some things some of the stuff he talked about tonight where there were hard things hard things one time jesus preaching and some of those folks said this a hard saying who can hear it because what he's really telling us to do is to take our mind off the here and now and to focus on the invisible focus on glory focus on the things that really matter that's sometimes our flesh let's keep it real our flesh doesn't even want to hear that our flesh is about right now when bishop talks about the lord coming back some folks are like well i don't want him to come back right now i've got stuff that i need to get i haven't moved into that place yet i haven't driven that car yet i don't have a man yet i don't have a wife yet i mean it's not happened yet whatever that we put as priority i thank god for this word tonight i don't know about y'all this word tonight was from heaven and i just feel like we ought to come and pray about what's important what's important is about souls i wonder if there's anybody who would come to the altar not for yourself tonight but would come to the altar and pray for souls in this city that need salvation would pray for backsliders that need to come back to the house of god would pray for something else other than just ourselves is there anybody who would step outside i want to i want god to use me to pray for something bigger than me more important than me more valuable than me maybe i'm just maybe all my prayers have just been centered around my stuff and what i'm going through and what i'm dealing with you know what's wrong with my life and my world and my finances and my family how about you come tonight and maybe there's some family members that need the holy ghost could you come and stand in the gap for somebody that you love that needs to get saved today amen somebody that needs to get the baptism in jesus name maybe there's somebody that needs a healing tonight amen as you're coming we we have so many saints that are in need of a touch from god need a healing right now let's pray that god's miracle working power will work on behalf of somebody else let's pray for families that have been dealing with bereavement for mother cold tonight let's pray for brother anthony tonight dealing with bereavement let's pray for amen even brother hughes and sister hughes their family they lost sister hughes lost her brother here this weekend and we just need to pray for these families let's pray for somebody else lift your hands right now all over the building let's talk to jesus in this house amen would you talk to him would you pray to him father in the name of jesus we thank you for your mercy thank you for your grace thank you for your precious blood thank you lord god almighty for all that you've done for us lord we're going to rejoice tonight because you've you've commanded us to rejoice and lord god to take the focus off of ourself lord jesus even the song that we sung said it's not about us but it's about jesus not about what we're dealing with not about our titles not about our fame not about our money but it's about you lord jesus not about us and lord god the message came and that message tonight has challenged us lord jesus to cry about the things that are important not about our our things our material things but to cry about souls that are lost that are going to the lake of fire father in the name of jesus i pray for this city tonight lord god 29 years lord you've sent your servants to preach the word of the lord o god and souls have been saved but there's so many souls that are still on their way to the lake of fire who had got their 3.5 million souls in this region lord god 20 million souls in this state and lord god almighty have sent us to this territory you have commanded us to preach your word and to plant churches help us lord god to focus on the loss give us a true burden for lost souls give us a true burden lord god for these cities lord god i'm praying that you send laborers into this harvest lord shepherds lord god pastors according to your heart lord god almighty we don't want to be in the
