10 CANCELLED Minecraft Updates

today we're looking at 10 minecraft updates that were never finished poor little guys it's no surprise these digital dinos shared the same fate as their real-life counterparts from auto crafting and colored lights to mop cycles that are frozen in ice many of these concepts would fit right into Minecraft join us as we speed through 10 unfinished projects courtesy of our very own the voxel Raptor there are even some impressive conversions you wouldn't have expected like Super Smash Brothers or the Omnitrix if you want us to release a couple of these concepts we'll do it at 20,000 likes and we'll choose based on the comments so don't blink baby we're gonna burn through these ones and fast and we start with number one Auto crafting the concept is simple enough normally you have to craft everything you want block at a time you can use the book now but there's got to be a better way to get this done the concept behind the auto crafter is that by placing an item frame on top of a crafting table and placing a hopper leading into that crafting table we can automate a lot of additional processes that we normally would not be able to like for example the moment we place bread in the top of this crafting table it becomes the auto craft the output of this device depends on where you have rotated the item in the frame so if we rotate this bread it will change where the output of this item is going to be we don't actually want it to be on the hopper because that's where we're gonna deposit our wheat so look at this one two three week goes inside and we got a piece of bread right there if we rotate that bread and then right-click again will notice that the place it will appear has change and then look one two three bread one two three bread it's a beautiful thing truly I'm I'm just beyond impressed I think all the ways you could automate this and that's the whole idea look let's put in some oak planks instead and when we drop in some regular old oak logs you'll notice something it automatically turns those oak logs into their plank form as though it were nothing this is beautiful but alas the concept was never finished this next one we're gonna speed right by it's Sonic the Hedgehog all you need to make this one happen is get some regular boots and make them red and then the moment you put those boots on you are now Sonic the Hedgehog yo look at this sneaking will turn you right back can do a human once again now the idea is that you and you gotta go fast and so you're going so fast that the leather boots you got on they're going way faster than even Sonic is but look Sonic's got running animations and when you jump you actually turn into a ball look at that and actually took off the boots and now it doesn't look like anything's lagging at all so you got the nice little ball there beautiful running around extremely fast and get this if you were to sprint you will also begin to rotate into a ball and in this case our trail is actually going a little bit faster than Sonic the Hedgehog as you can tell this is unreleased it's unfinished we never got around to finishing it and this is what was left of it the really cool thing is if you pay attention here you'll notice that Sonic the Hedgehog will occasionally blink at you and the animation on that is actually really nice I'm a big fan of it doesn't look quite as nice underwater though but hey still blinks careful about the chlorine and the salt man wait is there chlorine in the ocean anyways number three is colored light colored torches specifically this my friends has been a highly requested feature we've got an implementation here that might look a little bit different than what you'd be used to but here's the idea place a torch down beautiful place down some dye on top red too full oh I just said blue too full I don't you won't be here anymore but yeah check this out red blue and yes even green color which is probably not gonna show up too well on the grass but hey we're in the desert ooh ain't no thang so check this out not only do you have red blue and green types of light there but in theory you can combine the different colors together and you'll get some interesting in-between colors blue and green not the best example but let's see about red and blue booms you get some nice purple hues in there it's kind of hard to tell because one it's a concept and it wasn't fully dished out so it looks a little bit odd but - we have like yellow underneath so you see the green and red makes a disgusting human Brown which is what it's supposed to do overall this is something people have wanted in Minecraft for a very long time I don't know if they're ever going to implement it I don't know if it's a priority for them or not but one can dream huh number four is Pokemon you know gotta catch them all well in this case got to catch a Caterpie look ohmygosh capture you hey god of hey not bad that's easy that's right another one that never ended up being finished Pokemon was an interesting way of seeing what we could do with the Minecraft codebase to make for some extremely interesting concepts like having I mean look at this oh he just ate some grass too beautiful more on catching them later anyone that's familiar with the Pokemon franchise knows that you would make poké balls using April corns and we have a chance at getting April corns whenever we break leaves getting like super unlucky right now right well the idea was that you would be able to get them from trees but as we are saying sir unfinished updates it's all good we've got our apple corns right here red green blue and pink as well as Pokemon dollars which you would be able to get by doing various in-game tasks that award experience such as oh you know my knee maybe these will work I got rid of all my pokey coins oh yeah look at that pops up right away so every single time you do something with experience you have a chance of getting some of these very special Pokemon dollars and with enough Pokemon dollars as well as a procore uns you can make pokeballs but you'll need to contact the master ball craftsman Curt to contact them you'll need to make an X transceiver the recipe for what you can see here you can right click with it to start up the transceiver and do a couple different things with it welcome Lok dot sip what do you want to do let's go ahead and call hmm let's call Curt pokeball expert and so Curt appears right in front of us and he's got some very special trades on deck look at all of these so grab a great ball we got a heal ball maybe we'll get a dusk ball we'll even grab a regular little pokeball now as you saw earlier we actually caught a Pokemon in this case a Caterpie so we're gonna try and catch him again and look at that we got oh that Pokemon broke okay and it looks like he escaped or the pokeball broken up the Pokemon it's a concept looks like Curt just dipped out and that's the perfect chance to show you what else you can do with your transmitter how about we call Professor Oak right now maybe we can get our hands on some special starting Pokemon what do you have here ooh we need iron I'm gonna go for the center one here I don't know what it is but we'll find out together behold oh I got a Charmander look at a baby we're gonna go and put them back for the time being the beautiful thing is that you can actually level up your Pokemon as well by throwing bottles of speery and set them so this guy just went from a Caterpie to a metapod you can continue to level them up and then you'll eventually get a Butterfree being able to put them back in the pokeball essentially without problems right away I mean it's a concept it's gonna break here and there but look at that bangle ball they were even planned shiny variants such as golden caterpie's as well as evolutions outside of the Caterpie but again this guy unfortunately was never finished sorry Charmander number 5 is the cyber truck you may have seen this featured on a recent comments to crafting because that's what someone asked us to make so we just threw it in there but this one is currently unfinished but you can craft one by throwing a lever and an iron block together and just like that your cyber truck is good to go anyone that doesn't know the cyber truck is Tesla the car company's latest invasion of the vehicular spec duty just look at me whoo now not only does it have storage that you can access by sneaking and right-clicking to put things inside but you can of course ride it around it's got a decent speed it's even got a little bit of job - you're now gonna get those shocks getting tested Oh baby oh yeah I mean this is all it currently does oh also it's indestructible hopefully this chopper here makes the cut Lamy to demonstrate okay buddy good luck to you you gots to go oh la la what's left there Wow and there it is compare Lee seeing here but look it stands and look it even got into pose mode yo this is a sick truck now that's part of the time I should disclose that I own zero stock in Tesla nor do I necessarily have anything to gain from it being did we just make a nether portal oh that was awesome number six is mob sickles this update would let you freeze mobs by pushing ice into certain types of mobs and then frozen mobs can be picked up moved and then thawed for later use so we've got a couple test subjects here why don't we go ahead spawn in a crepe right there yo bad bad look what you've done now you gotta go okay so as you can see we got the ice here and you can actually tell there's literally a creeper stuck inside here and the moment we break this oh gosh not what I meant we're doing in creative mode yay yay why ah see I figured it out we just had to clear all the blocks around the creeper and then we can collect it no problem whatsoever oh look at oh he's like a little snow globe or something anyways we can grab him and then we could place him willy-nilly however we like look at that instantly placed you can break the block once again get your creeper back now here's the cool thing it essentially acts as its own spawn egg of some sort which means that you could in theory thaw this creeper down works the same for the other mobs as well and so all you'd have to do is take this frozen chicken take the frozen pick and light some fire around the poor guys so that they can thaw out and you'll want to I guess do it for the creeper now with any luck we'll be able to get these mobs in a nice warmer environment very soon but I have a feeling they're gonna walk right into the fire the moment it oh look part of it started I put the rest out oh but I just thought okay well hey can you just blow up my friends and said that might be but yeah well it actually worked oh I wish I was recording anyways we missed it okay guys it's probably just better we let it go number seven is the Omnitrix there's the wrist device courtesy of the show Ben 10 by placing it in your offhand slot you can actually cycle through various different types of bent ends Omnitrix creatures all of which have different powers once you've selected the one you want in this case forearms all you'll need to do is sneak and you'll undergo a transformation into said Omnitrix creature and look at this forearms comes with strength boost as well as jump boost not too bad sneaking once again will transform you back into your original character okay now let's show off Heatblast what are you anyways check it out transform to heat blast heat blast is cool namely cuz you can right-click and you can heat things yo what's a vacant deny baby plus I like well really I just like how they all kind of move they all kind of gallop you also have infinite fire resistance when you're in heat blast mode oh sure yeah seriously watch out with the plane accelerate is an awesome one look at as we transform into y'all ready boom this guy he's just a super fast dude he runs real fast that's a that's a my personal favorite though is this one it's cannonbolt why well allow me to explain you literally go I transferred man you literally cannon through blocks wherever you go tell me this isn't the most awesome looking thing kind of looks like the bees in Minecraft now hey biggest fan in all the world so yeah when you're rolling about you look like that and when you're not you're eating seeds I guess use this to like make ultimate tunnel systems through your world like imagine this this is the best dude I'm mad at that at all I'll show you the last one a second I just want to see like look at that that is so fun oh that's great final transformation known as Diamond Dave and this one's pretty cool I guess he he's gonna break your economy looks pretty sweet though basically wherever you right-click just everything turns to diamonds yeah does install this one on your server yeah yeah you have a bad time seriously number eight is astral chain now I don't really know anything about this update or this show but I know the expert on some pretty damn cool and this is actually a weapon that you can use as melee but it also transforms into a laser in which you can fire off arrows the moment you stand put and start aiming for once in your life just aim for something it also comes with something known as legions which is like oh my gosh what even are you like what oh boy I hurt his feelings I think apparently legions just love them some sheep I don't know why but hey do you want a legion trap would you like one of my legion traps here my legion traps get enough of them and you tame him and now he's not read anymore and then you can capture him because what a terrible thing to do right stuff well it's kinda like Pokemon then you can take him out at any moment by right-clicking once again and he's literally chained to you so long as you have this object out so he will slowly follow you around based on this little blue chain that we've got over here very very incomplete but check it out there's different variants of all of these creatures as well the one we just saw we've got a different variant right here we've got a dog variant literally and then we've got ooh hey I like that one hey you're coming with me to the next showcase area now these are actually super buggy and every once in a while they'll actually just oh yeah like I don't know what I just did but I'm pretty sure something just died yep there goes sword Legion and I don't know what's happening with this chain either we just move on number 9 is Super Smash Brothers and it's right inside this lovely little building and we go oh oh wow hey look at this we got a moving mouse cursor and everything baby yes welcome to Super Smash Brothers in Minecraft this is amazing let me go ahead and choose a character so I can show you exactly what's going on here so well go ahead and select Samus oh we got to grab our cursor oops alright so there we go that should have selected Samus first and as you can see right down there we do in fact have Samus selected we can even change the skin color of Samus and then from there we can go down to the player to slot and switch that over from another player to a computer aka the CPU remember just click ready to go and just like that we have been placed inside of a Super Smash Brothers arena and you can actually move around and there's animations for your character as well not only that but every so often you'll actually be able to face off against enemies we're being attacked by one currently again this is like not a completed project so it's not gonna work in every exact way we want it to but Samus can curl up into a ball for now let's go to a different character select and choose someone else how about we go for Pikachu this time we'll go against Fox as our computer and there is same story with Pikachu having animations there's Fox right over there the cool thing about this is Pikachu will actually have an attack fox will begin to attack us once we get a little too close for him perhaps yep now he's after us look at that and fox has a cool animation as well whenever he jumps her is in air you'll see fire particles appear it's going to tack fox though lightning baby yeah as you can see here it's um it's clearly still in need of work but hey there's there's there's pretty cool powers if you ask me and finally number 10 project knubbler aka Jurassic world aka what we needed this plane for so excuse me we'll be on our merry way it's time for us to take off my friends I welcome you to Jurassic world a complete recreation that is incomplete of the Jurassic world theme park and of project Knobloch this is an awesome area filled with dinosaurs one of which I believe is right here let's see let's get some bait for our boy and then if I'm not mistaken oh gosh well I don't know where he's headed but as you can see there are a couple glitches here in there that will have to pay heed to from time to time ooh yep see he's a little late to the bite this map I believe actually is for download right now if you wanted to check it out it's got fully customized rooms that will open up and didn't lead to bigger things once you walk nearby a helicopter near the start as well as a means to fly it as you can see here we are technically in this helicopter right now so let's see if we can manage to get it to fly yeah it's glitchy maybe we'll show off some of the dinosaurs instead like this one who's oh my gosh after me in a major way can we not I'm stuck in trees look at the size of him he's literally going through the trees I mean there are lots of different areas to explore and dinosaurs galore in this area I mean just look at these adorable dinosaurs hanging out all over the place tons of different flying creatures pterodactyls all sorts of dinos to discover the dinos themselves are huge and a lot of them are animated now this is a very old project years and years old so it's not exactly up to date compared to a lot of the stuff that our team works on now but hey you're gonna be mad at finding a motorbike hey well maybe if it starts to take off without you do you mind if I can we thank you geez man embarrass there's so much here to explore and discover but I think you guys get the gist of it probably head back to them whatever alright guys and back to the mainland but quick
