hey what's up all you cats and kittens welcome back to Stream University where I'm about to school you god that's dumb hey what's up welcome back to Stream University today we're talking about twitch payouts in 2020 stick around once again you are watching the stream University playlist answering all the questions you can't find answers to anywhere else and helping you with things you haven't even thought of yet today's topic is twitch payouts 2020 this is a very touchy subject and I'm gonna show you my complete financials which it's not much but hey I'm showing you what it's like to be a twitch streamer starting from the bottom up started from the bottom now we're here if you find this video helpful please help me out by liking and subscribing to the YouTube channel trying to get this thing rolling I'm also streaming 3 days a week on Twitch if you go to my link yeah that one if you go to my link you'll find my most up-to-date schedule my work situation kind of has me a little dynamic with my schedule I apologize for that but if you go to my twitch page you'll see him when I'll be streaming and it'll be actually current rather than me telling you right here ok enough about that how do the twitch payouts work you're asking well first you have to be a twitch affiliate and that requires you to have 50 followers or more and then you can apply to be an affiliate or they they send you a letter or something you you basically become an affiliate at 50 followers so from there you're gonna get a new tab in your Creator dashboard on the twitch website let me show you that so hey he's cute okay top right corner hit your picture go to say creator dashboard go there so then when it loads got the top left click the three things here preferences affiliate should now be there so once you click on affiliate you've got affiliate I'm boarding change payout method view affiliate agreement but in affiliate I'm boarding which is something I've already been through as you can see step one payout registration this is where you say hey buddy what do you send my money let me show you so you tell them hey send it to one two three bank comm and it'll go there then the affiliate agreement you're gonna sign your life away and I will not multi stream on YouTube Facebook Instagram mixer and twitch at the same time it's gonna be exclusive content number three tax interviews I can't quite remember what's going on in here but something with tax stuff step four payout set up your payout method has been successfully validated so they have to validate your PAP method I guess they have to do something with the bank account you list up there so go through these four things in affiliate onboarding before you can get paid out kind of makes sense alright so you're an affiliate you're on boarded and you're streaming you're making that money people are subbing people are gifting subs they're throwing those bits around like hey here's my biddies that's awesome but to get paid out here's the number one thing you've got to reach one hundred dollars there's no specific time frame you don't have to reach a hundred dollars in a single month or two months it doesn't matter so for your first payout you're starting from scratch for your second payout whatever the date was that you're paid out say January 1st of 2020 if I was paid out January 1st of 2020 the next time I make my second $100 I will then receive a payout maybe it takes a month maybe it takes two months so first for a big streamer they're gonna get paid out every month because they're making more than a hundred dollars but for smaller streamers like myself it may take two months three months before you get your payout and so the second criteria is that you're gonna get paid out at the end of a calendar month or that's at least went which is gonna calculate it so say at the end of April 2020 it's it's the last day of the month twitches algorithms gonna run and they're gonna see since the last time this person was paid say dr. disrespect the last time he was paid yes he has made $100 we will then pay him out okay then I'm gonna run a check Oh luxury sedan thirty thirty the last time he was paid out oh he only made ninety nine dollars sucks to suck he has to wait so since the last time you were paid they're gonna check it at the end of every month and if you've made $100 since then they will pay you out something that changed somewhere in the summer of 2019 is that twitch went to a net fifteen payout method and if you don't know what that means it just means that whenever they decide to pay you it takes them 15 days to get you the money so you know they're running the check at the end of the month you can expect on the 15th of the next month you will get paid I do want to quickly mention that if you receive donations just straight money not subs not bits if you receive a donation I want to remind you that that is through say stream labs or stream elements or whoever it's not through twitch so if you receive $15 you pretty much get that instantly so that is in no way going into your calculation of when you get paid out you just need to remember that like if you got eighty five dollars in subs and fifteen dollars in donations when twitch runs our check you're still at eighty five dollars because twitch has no idea you received a fifteen dollar donation now you might be asking am I really gonna get paid out in 15 days the answer is kinda um so we're gonna hop and look at my bank account and I'll show you what I see whenever I got paid last time so as you can see from this screen Eastman credit union my bank actually received the twitch payment on the 16th of April now it what probably happened twitch sent the payment on the 15th my bank took a minute so oh okay and on the 16th they said here's your money into your account sir and so that's when I got paid another great way to know if you've actually received your payment is you should get an email to whatever email is attached to your Twitter profile so as you can see here I have an email from twitch saying that I've been successfully sent my payment on April 14th it says the the amount but I actually got this email let's see on the 16th so that's the same as what my bank account said so you'll probably get this email when it successfully actually been deposited into your account the thing that really grinds my gears though twitch and you better be listening is there's no real-time number of you've accrued 58 dollars since your last pay it out you've accrued one thousand four hundred fifty seven dollars since you're paid up there's none of that why why why is that not a thing luckily there's a few tools we can use on the twitch creator dashboard and I'm gonna show those to you right now real quick thank you there he is again okay top right creator dashboard she'll go to your stream manager first of all but go to the top left once again gonna go to insights channel analytics you'll notice it populates with a time frame May 4th to June 2nd that's today's date is June 2nd so it's pulling data from the last 30 days as it says here I should have just said that but anyway last 30 days it shows you your average viewers live views new followers subscriptions whoo awesome community highest month ever thank you so much subscriptions but then your revenue is there at the end so you can also sort the whole 30 days by revenue to see day by day when all these different things came in but it defaults to average viewers so I'm gonna leave it there but I can see that from May 4th to June 2nd I earned 86 bucks if I use the left-arrow here April 4th to May 3rd you know the previous 30 days learn $29.70 and before that 51:33 so if you figure out I was paid out April 15th 20 20 you can look I know I've got all my data from May to work with and approximately half the data from April to work with you can kind of get a rough calculation of where you're at also just one thing I wanted to point out kind of interesting stuff if you scroll down on channel analytics where does my revenue come from the $86 some of it was paid sups $9 twitch prime 34 93 big part of my income this month gifted subs the biggest part of my income $40 ads hi Roland 16 cents whoa cheering a dollar fifty and then you've got a bunch of other crap that will probably never have any money for you but maybe it will not not happening for me but this breaks down where all your money's coming from so you know it's just kind of interesting to look at so that's pretty much it once again it's all about making 100 bucks it doesn't matter the timeframe whenever you make a hundred bucks the following month you're going to get paid out on the 15th or the 16th probably on your bank that's it it's that simple one more time if this video helped you out please don't forget to subscribe to the channel it's gonna help me out of ton hey thanks for watching and we'll see you next time on stream University see ya now he's doing the need but freaking take a break take a chill pill can you take tak
