the sheikah is probably the most tragic race and civilization in the zelda series remains to this day a mystery how did this enigmatic people become the most trusted guardians of the goddess heylia and the royal family what caused their rise and tragic downfall [Music] long after the golden goddesses din nayru and farore had created the world and handed the triforce to goddess heylia different tribes settled the surface among these there were two which stood out and the sheikah made up one of them the task entrusted to them was simple serve and protect her Grace from any danger the LAN thrived until the dark times the destructive invasion by the demon king demise to claim the omnipotent Triforce as a consequence the remaining humans were along with the Triforce sent up to the sky while hylians the remaining tribes defeated it ultimately sealed demise being aware that the seal was just temporary the wounded goddess saw no option but to give up her immortality and transfer her soul to the body of a mortal this way her reincarnation could one day wield of the Triforce upon passing away she ordered one of the sheikah EMPA to watch over the seal many years passed but eventually the reincarnation of Helia ended up at the sealed grounds and after an ambush from the Demon Lord Giri him and was purposely led by the old Empire to meet her travelling younger self after reuniting what the incarnated goddess at the Earth temple she took care of Zelda and traveled from the temple times Gate of time in the present to the sealed grounds in the past making sure that she was sealed away from Garrick Eames clutches there she waited for the moment Zelda would be able to leave the seal while guiding two chosen hero to both her youth and final moments to bring down the goddess statue but this one is all part of a greater plan of 'god is to bring the Sacred Realm back to the surface crushing demise and the process eventually it's owned a lot the time capsule and was reunited with EMPA hand the hero of this guy nonetheless they all had forgotten about Giri him who soon tricked everyone easily took down the old and weakened Impa gurus and Zelda and brought the portal incarnation of Hali at to the distant past in a final confrontation link defeated give him and demise in the past the bunt was cursed itemizes final words and blood to repeat the cycle of reincarnation with no end in Pithom revealed why she couldn't return back to the future with Roose the hero of the sky and Zelda someone was stay behind to watch over this blade his spirit must not reawaken he must never be allowed to threaten the world again this is the nature of the task given to my tribe as a member of the sheikah the goddesses chosen Guardians I gladly welcomed this Duty back in the future link groose and Zelda bore witness to the passing of the same Impa and shortly after made the decision to settle down on the service the rest of the inhabitants of Scylla soon followed their lead at the same time what happened with the sheikah after impass debt since in the error of the sky when the humans lived and prospered high up in Skyloft the surface was cultivated and maintained by the remaining sheikah Guardians the return of the goddess in the form of a mortal must have had a positive impact as it is chronicled in Hyrule historia and ocarina of time that the chicest world legions to zelda as Guardians and maidens chosen by the goddess of honor sacrifice an era of stability and peace followed where the uncivilized surface was transformed into the land of Hyrule [Music] peace would however turn out to be temporary as the almighty Triforce remained a target for greedy individuals and groups seeking to claim it for their own interest an era of chaos loomed in the distance over the control of the Triforce and the sheikah Guardians would not be bystanders to the serious situation as a result some of the warriors in the tribe made the decision to actively utilize their dark magical powers to seal the relic away from abusive power this act would mark the outbreak for a brief but consequential interloper war as the invasion was launched a great battle ensued where the hylians and the different tribes fought over the control of the Sacred Realm the battle went on but soon the opposing forces realized that it was impossible to withstand the sheikah who had the fused shadow at their disposal it seemed that the battle was over and the sheikah insurrectionists had claimed victory in establishing dominion over the sacred realm and the tricorn efficiently sealing it away from the hylians and the other races and tribes but the insurrectionist has forgotten about one important detail the descendants of the first zelda had been granted the Triforce by the goddess and as a result the golden goddesses ordered the light spirits Fair on elder Dan llanera to intervene and seal away the few shadow thus exposing the sheikah insurrectionists sloshed interlopers to the wrath of the hylians and the other races what followed was the first sheikah Exodus where the sheikah interlopers would driven away from the land of Hyrule to the desert where they were banished to the Twilight Realm so how did we get to this conclusion well in Twilight Princess the palace of Twilight had several sheikah symbols displayed to make it more than obvious that at while I indeed derived from the insurrectionists slash interlopers who were members of the sheikah tribe who aimed to seal away the Triforce plus there's another sheikah symbol right behind the few shadow the direct consequences of this defeats was the banishment of the involved interlopers to the Twilight Realm and the construction of the temple of hi raro the light Said's over the ruins of the seal temple worth of insurrection is gone the remaining sheikah could rebuild their trust and close relation to the hylians and the soon to become royal family of the kingdom of viral one of the members was once again designated and chosen to be the maidens and guardians of the immortal incarnations of the goddess the long peace allowed for the construction of an imposing town and residents for the royal family the iconic Carroll Castle end up center of the land would overlook the temple time the same can be said about the sheikah who had recently began the construction of a new seat at the same time the place had a more somber and dark aura hanging over it to give a final resting place to the Chicago teens and members of the hyrulean royal family a graveyard was set up and behind it they constructed the shadow temple little is known about the tribes role in between the interloper war and the hyrulean civil war as there are no Chronicle sources referencing them in the entire force era it is likely that it was in these eras of relative peace and prosperity that's a three holy magic relic the lens of truth the mask of truth and the stones last shard of agony making up the Trinity of truth along with the hover boots for crafted hill for what we know there could have been more artifacts but which later disappeared over destroyed during the hyrulean civil war several eras past and the sheikah continued to thrive in advance as a civilization unfortunately another challenge would soon be thrown at the sheikah when a new king of Hyrule faced the end of a long peace among the tribes of the land at the same time two prominent sheikah members were born and raised in the village the wizard bhaga bhaga and the new impact a civil war of unknown proportions broke out and raged higher rule for many years and though we are uncertain of the involvement of the sheikah tribe in this conflict we know that it brought a tragic end to the prosperous tribe and Kakariko prior to the downfall of the civilization Impa had at some point in the war butchered and finally executed the sheikah wizard Bongo Bongo by disembody his hand in arms and then sealing him for stealing the lens of truth the tragedy of the sheikah tribe and the civilization was complete as close to none of the individuals of course remember one left alive at the end of the conflict the shattered symbol wants a place of memory in worship became a symbol of the Shiba tragedy and a reminder of that consequences of armed conflict as the inscription of the catacombs fittingly writes shadow temple here is gathered animals bloody history of greed and hatred would close to no members of a tribe lot to take care of Kakariko Impa soon after open the abandoned and empty village for less affluent aliens to settle and the war was over and the soft governed tribal states were unified under one banner and monarch caki Rica was incorporated into the kingdom of Hyrule valiantly populated the village and soon after howling soldiers were guarding the place even so the war veteran timba never forgot about the place and soon ordered a group of carpenters to rebuild their own village and transform it into a true town a few years passed when that air is Princess Zelda at a prophecy of a threat incoming from the Guru King but previously been forced to swear fealty to the king of Hyrule info was the only one who believed the young princess's vision about Ganondorf and taught the young hero of time Zelda's Lullaby and he arrived in the castle courtyard then in the wake of ganondorf's coup d'etat she single-handedly organized the princess's escape from the castle and defended Kakariko village from ganondorf's inevitable attack over the next seven years Impa raised the orphan Zelda according to the sheikah way of life and made a skilled chica warrior out of her this possibility does have some support the fact that adults Elda's tavern beside the Triforce and the red Lockley depicts the sheikah coat of arms the tearing eye with zelda / eek able to take care of herself she returned back to Kakariko which after the destruction of castle town had become the main settlement of Hyrule nonetheless ganondorf's presence had set the evil spirit of bongo bongo free from the seal forcing impact the one last time entered the shadow temple in order to imprison him once again ultimately she was with the hero of times assistance awakened as the sage of shadow unfortunately as consequence of the disappearance of the sheikah the tribe was left with only a handful of individuals it was thus unavoidable that the bloodline of the race quickly began to dwindle after the timeline split following the decisive battle between Ganondorf and the hero of time in the downfall timeline the different descendants of Impa the maidens of zelda were the only remnants of the sheikah race as they appeared in the era of dark and light the golden era and the era of decline in the adult timeline the sheikah are presumed to be extinct by the time the Great Flood and the creation of the Great Sea while in the child timeline and more specifically the silent era it appears that at least a few descendants of the former tribe infants and Miguel Fernandez were still around on top of this you obviously have between the descendants of the first sheikah interlopers who were banished to the Twilight Realm after the failed invasion of the Sacred Realm in the twilight era Midna and the self-proclaimed king of twilight Zant returned to their ascendant Hyrule for a limited time throughout this invasion Zant saw the land of hyrule as a homeland an alternative future that was taken away from his people it appears that the inhabitants of the Twilight Realm never forgot about their former homeland and sheikah identity as they kept the tearing eye as the tribes symbol this could be witnessed over the throne room inside the palace of Twilight this connection between the two parallel worlds was however short-lived advanced and the resurrected Ganondorf were defeated our hero of Twilight and Minda the toilet princess dismantled the mirror of Twilight upon leaving Hyrule and this brings us over to dub small but eventual success 'fl revival that she could drive long after the era of shadows in the era of decline or perhaps both and a line of victories against Ganon and ashika lived in harmony along with the Holly and Quran Sora's retos and Gerudo even though all were equal and worked for the same goals it cannot be denied that the sheikah outmatched even the hylians in leaps and bounds when I came to intellect and technology despite would appear to be a lasting victory the sugar Tron feared the return of Ganon and did everything in their might to utilize their sophisticated technology to build highly advanced weapons to combat the beast one it would eventually return for this purpose they utilized the power of the blue flame to engineer futuristic weaponry and a powerful mechanical army consisting of Guardians drones and food divine beasts these were spread in the four corners of Hyrule divine peaceful meadow and the Northwest divine beasts Vardanyan in the northeast divine beast on the boris of Southwest and divine Wisla ruto in the southeast to corner Denham entities were piloted by a hint tech individual from the Goron's aura of Garuda when Richard drives the sheikah Guardians and drones were placed in central Hyrule ready to assist with the divine beasts to cornered the Beast Ganon and leave it to the howleen hero to deal the final blow with a blade of Evil's bane and the princess to seal Ganon away on that fateful day of calamity Ganon's invasion the pilots the sheikah the hero and the princess were well prepared and with the assistance of the beams from the divine beasts and the surrounding sheikah Guardians the hero defeated calamity Ganon with ease living it as a mere formality for the princess to seal the Beast deep under Hyrule Castle everything went according to the sheikah plan offense turned out to be the best defense the victory was totaled and the sheikah were cherished as the engineers of this great feat unfortunately the state was just temporary as after some time hylians grew more and more suspicious and fearful of the powerful sheikah technology until they decided to ban it all and leave the warrior tribe with an ultimatum abandoned their technological past or face exodus the harsh terms were met with shock and disbelief and led to tensions in the tribe between those who remained loyal to the royal family and those who sought to keep their pride a great chika schism caused the sheikah to split into two factions the loyal sheikah who chose a more modest way of life in Kakariko and the rebellious giga clan who pulled their blades against the hylians to protect their way of life needless to say the Giga clan stood no chance against the combined force of the hyrulean army and relocated their activities to a fortress deep within Gerudo territory there they swore vengeance on the royal family their hero and allegiance to calamity Ganon during his next gen Dasia the Chicot of Kakariko were left in peace that no other choice but to accept reality and hide the mechanical Guardians and divine beasts underground as time passed the memory of the ancient invasion and Technology passed away it was first during the reign of King Rama Maus Paramus that the order was given to excavate the Forgotten Guardians and select new champions from the different tribes in preparation for the inevitable invasion it was during this research for a solution to the looming threat the daughter of the king a new Princess Zelda was first introduced to Impa together they set out to rediscover the secrets of the ancient sheikah technology and along the way learn more about the sheikah structures shrines and facilities around the land all of this was part of a greater plan to reactivate the Guardians and define beef both operations were successful and as a result the king left to the Goron so Rudo and Rito tribes to select their champions who would pilot the divine beast at the same time the Hylian champion link was chosen by the Master Sword link was appointed Zelda's night for a reason as big a client planned to spoil the Hylian effort against calamity Ganon one day telling the princess and her Knight back from divine B spawn new Boris and they surrounded Zelda and were about to deal with a final blow one link came to the rescue and sliced down one of the Eagle warriors and forced the others to retreat the Hyuga clan failed in their mission to take down Lincoln Zelda but as the princess failed to free her divine powers in the wake of calamity Ganon they still stood victorious as the divine beasts and guardians were corrupted and taken over by gallons malice I will castle town and Kingdom fell the champions and side the beasts were murdered while Zelda and the gravely wounded link were surrounded by an army of guardians near fort heta know at this point the princess finally managed to free her locked power but it was too late having no other way to bring link back to health she trusted him Zipporah and the schickel warriors who brought him to Kakariko and from there to the medical facility at the shrine of resurrection link may have been out of the game for the next 100 years but this didn't mean that the sheikah society was sleeping along with him absolutely none of that except for maybe inba but her older sister pura and Rabi continued their crazy research surrounding ancient sheikah technology with mixed results Hurra who messed up badly with her a traversing rune a while Ravi was once a skilled Sheik a warrior was ashamed of putting all his efforts into researching Guardians instead of perfecting ancient weaponry for use in the battle against calamity Ganon the Yaga under a new master Koga continued to be dicks to anyone who didn't support their cause and son to make life of their defectors miserable 100 years past and with Link's Awakening rising of the sheikah towers and departure from the great plateau the sheikah tribe and Giga clan renewed their activities the sheikah would do everything in their might to prepare and guide link succeed in the eventual battle for high room against calamity Ganon while the Giga saw their opportunity to destroy the hylians last hope for salvation as a result Master Koga sent out his scouts disguised at trick and hunt down the still unaware link but to no avail since link found his way to Kakariko and from there to Hot Tuna an ekala restored the missing runes to the sheikah state and gained the desired ancient sheikah weaponry and armor from Robbie but these under his belt the Giga Scouts posed no challenge in the stealthy sheikah armor made infiltrating the hideout of the clan into a simple task and trick through the use of bananas then you had master Koga who didn't crash out in style because the Giga clan to go wild and Hyrule but despite their hardest efforts it couldn't pose a serious threat to link outside of feeling physical pain following the misshapen Piatt battle with dorian against a giga warrior for the sheikah heirloom luckily with impass guidance link was pointed to the spot where he fell 100 years prior from where he set out to free the land of Hyrule from calamity Ganon's clutches [Music] despite tragedy setbacks and even banishment it appears that the current ended a history of the sheikah is on applying out the future may be uncertain but a resolution of the kingdom of hyrule under the rule of the great friend of the sheikah of Kakariko princess zelda lays the promise of a new golden age for the tribe
