hey there and thanks for joining me again for another in-depth guide to Fury Warrior today I'm going to be talking you through my UI a lot of you have been commenting that you like the look of it maybe you want to understand more how to build some of the weak auras and this guide will kind of talk you through it bit by bit the two main things that I have explained really are the Pitbull unit frames and the weak auras um but if you have any questions about anything else on my UI please comment below um I'll also put in the description a list of all of the add-ons that I use in my UI and then you can kind of do a bit of research on them yourself if you want um it's a bit difficult for me to share the strings for a lot of the week auras that I have just purely based on the size of the strings um the only thing I couldn't find a way really of being able to link those for you um I'm a bit too lazy to bother to register for wagyo and upload all of my things on there um so yeah sorry you probably have to build them yourself um let him let's have a look at them then shall we first of all I'm going to start off with a uh overall um description review of what's on my UI so I'm going to talk you through a video um of you know every aspect of my UI and why it's there and what it does and then I'll go through Pitbull unit frame showing you how to customize that to make it look however you want it to look and then I'll look at the weak Aura sides try and talk you through that okay okay so I want to kind of talk you through my entire UI during a fight and as you can see at the moment well nothing's really happening I've paused the video but I've got the Buffs here top left it just for me it it's cleaner than having it up top right here um but you know I have my main tanks here and if I was to click on this I would be targeting this Tank's Target and this tank and this is from Voodoo which is actually more of a healing raid frames kind of add-on but it's just a really helpful little thing to have that's just it's what I know from previous expansions I just like to tend to use the same add-ons over and over again um in the middle here this is where you've got the timers for special events so this is obviously a pull timer um on this side here you will see Buffs that I they have or um that are increasing my damage so I've got devotion Aura up leader of the pack heroic presence I haven't quite got working yet I'm still working on that one but this is a weak Aura and obviously I've got a right presence there so I I'm fine with that um fret meter really important instead of having it up in Prior expansions I've had it in the corner over here down there over on the left hand side what a difference it's made being here to having it right in the middle of where where the combat is happening you should be looking around this area in the center whenever you're doing you know your raids you know there's not less happening up in this corner that corner yeah you're normally looking in this area around here so putting your threat meter which is a very important really important thing they're very visible it really helps um obviously you've got your main abilities that you're going to be doing down here uh really useful for obviously seeing the cooldowns you've got um I've got my swing time was just above my player frame uh these are pretty much things that I could pop uh useful stuff so my bandages cool down you know the the sapper charges to be fair going forward this will probably disappear you probably won't see this anymore just purely because it's a duplicate of what happens in the middle here and I'll get to that during the fight um just try and keep it clean and tidy obviously my chat window is behind this this picture um but just during the raids and yeah I don't really want to be recording what people are saying uh right so let's start the fight straight away this pops up I'm gonna stop here here we go we're going to come back all right stop pause right we're just entering combat so this has come up I have got a Target I am in combat and that Target does not have a thunder Army yeah and I've actually selected this week or as it's the show only in encounters I don't want this popping up during trash we don't we don't put Sanders Under Armor is up in trash so I've selected the box for just Encounters in the load menu on weak auras now this is showing there that you know we need to get us under the arms up as soon as possible in previous videos you've probably seen it as a big Square in the middle of my screen but that really stopped me from seeing where I was going what damage I was in you know taking I I need to I'm ready now to move it over to the side so again to combat bang can you see it's changed it's got a one in there now so that's a separate week or I've built exactly the same spot it was a duplicate but I've changed it now to say okay show me how many Thunder armors there is on the target so as you can see they're going up and as soon as we reach five it goes so I don't have to worry about that anymore that's that's that's gone done and the next thing you can see is in the middle of the screen here these are all the abilities that I could pop to increase my damage these are my cooldowns that I need to be keeping an eye on you might want to make them bigger you might want to lose a couple of them or add a few more in whatever helps you to do more damage but this is all here now I know that uh unfortunately in this fight I did not pre-pot um so this is actually for my indestructible potion uh that's a potion of speed but here we go this is a proc this means slam is available we've got the sound like bomb is available which should also be your sapper charge um you've got your you know heroic Pro and um chattering fro Death Wish you've got your uh hopefully you've got the engineering glove enchant uh accelerators that that's there and as I use these abilities they'll disappear off the screen so there goes the slam I've just used the bomb there's slam again that should disappear any second there we go and it's back and it's just something that I can keep an eye on all the time I don't have to look at my you know what Buffs am I getting at the top here I'm not having to look at maybe necessarily what some cool down down here apart from maybe while wind and blood first and you could add that in if you wanted you can have a separate one a little bit higher up maybe that shows actually your rotation and you could prioritize you know that your rotation so you would have you know in this case slam would be your first icon then you would have blood first then you'd have Whirlwind uh and they would it would be a dynamic group but always you know it would always show slam as the first icon and that is really a good way to kind of absolutely nail your rotation you don't have to think you just follow what shows you could set it so when when you get the proc for slam it will only show then it will only show when blood first is off cooldown it will only show Whirlwind when it's off coolant you could even have it so it will show a heroic strike when you have more than 55 rage you know you could really customize it to really um simplify the fights for you obviously down here in the bottom right you also have the timer so I don't have to worry for you know when is this going to pop up you know where is it looking for my rotation have I got time to do the Rend weave I also show it down here it's also there but I never really look at that and I'll probably get rid of that as well it's just no way but it's down here and you can see that it's been topped up by me or perhaps another warrior in the group I'm just waiting to see if that gets below 10 that will now show up here as you know the timer 10 9 8 7 6 5. so yeah I know um and that needs to be done but a lot a lot of people commented that they like they like the UI and how basic it looks it's it's all down to personal preference the other thing I would probably mention is anything that isn't required during the fight just whack it on the sides or in the corners I don't really need to know the damage meters to be fair some people recommend that you just don't have that add-on don't look at it don't worry about it just do the best you can I'd like to have it just because I'm nosy but um you know that's why you put the map in the corners no point put the map in the middle you don't need to see that during the fight the other thing I should mention is down here in this corner you've also got the uh that's actually item rank so if I was to click on this I would be able to see a list of different armor sets that I have maybe you have different trinkets that you want to use but I have um you know like a tank set that I might need to yeah go into or something just really helps to organize all your gear into different arm sets you might also notice down here you've got the cooldowns showing that's nothing clever that is just bartender so people unit frames are the best option I think for the most amount of custom customizable features involved if you download it and you use the mini map icon here um you have these two options here now you can change the con configuration mode so you can try and configure it as if you're in a party or a five-man 10 man 25 40 Man raid or if you're just soloing so every time it changes and maybe you want a slightly different UI when you're in a 25 man raid compared to when you're on a 40-man raid you can customize all of this bit by bit but also in here you've got where it's locked or having a snap so when you do put things together it will actually lock in in place like this one here see it locks in place uh or you can have it without snapping as well so I'm going to leave it as unlocked with let's put it we're bouncing out for now um so I'm gonna go through a couple of things the first thing I normally look at is the modules and the one thing I really hate is this kind of highlighting when you're selecting the Target so I take that off straight away so you can see what you're looking at I really don't understand the point of that personally um I would disable the cast bar I mean you can keep it and you can make it look really nice and fancy but typically I Look to use things like quartz Gas bars just because it has the what lag you have uh [Music] I typically get rid of auras but it's not highly recommended at all having the auras means that you can see both the Buffs and debuffs on your target so can be really useful in PvP or if you're a Healer you want to see what debuffs are on your tank um it's you know personal preference you might want to show it in a different add-on aggro um I'm normally I typically untick that as well um I'm just trying to run through a few of these things a lot of these quite useful fret bar I'll get rid of that uh experience bar rotation bar I don't I use other add-ons all of these things if I need them okay we'll leave we'll leave it there so layout editor will give you almost like a profile for you to work on so typically you've got normal as the Baseline but I typically like to make one uh for player maybe uh and yeah let's start let's start for the player so this is going to be you and this is going to be almost like a baseline of what you want it to look like um so under under play you can set things like the width uh oh if I change the units and I'll come back to this in a second right so you can change obviously the width the height another you know to whatever you fancy let's just make it really big so you can start seeing the differences that that I'm making the first uh the next thing I'll probably look at is the bars you can make some really interesting differences to your bars I've just noticed that without the other add-ons I can't really show you so these are the basic ones okay so I have now added on all my advert add-ons and you can see that there's now a lot more Textures in here that you could use so pretty much every add-on you add will have its own textures built in and you can use them for everything that you um use in audio add-ons and I'll try and show you that as we go through so uh we're trying to change player if I change this now you can find all sorts of different interesting options um it's all a case of just trying to narrow find something that you like the look of and start building up on that there's so many different choices you could go for okay so I have decided to go for Nelly uh right now we've got your kind of bar textures sorted you can increase the spacing between the bars so as you can see they're moving away from each other I don't know why you'd want them to overlap but let's leave that as two uh and the padding from around the outside of the Border put that back to zero you can add a blank space into that which is very useful and I'll show you I'm going to leave that in so you can see what you can do with that but as you can see the textures are getting copied across and you could change that to something else if you wanted the health is got the right texture as well but I don't typically change any of these positions as such you might want to move the power bar down to the the blank space at the bottom so you your this position here will change which order they go um in your setup the other thing oh God you've got so many indicators as well that you can change and move around around where you want them to show but again I typically leave that where it is but it's all down to personal preference just start playing with bits and pieces and and set it how you want um texts are very important um first thing I would do is choose your default font and you want something that's going to be very easily readable at the moment the the standard Arrow narrow font is not very easy to read so we can make it like something like that it's a bit Bolder looks a bit fancy we'll leave it as that for now um and then you get to properly look at all of these so a combat text combat text will show you when you're getting hit how much you've been hit for in there and it can be useful for some people if you don't have like a scrolling combat text kind of add-on um so maybe you want to see it on there instead to kind of Click make your UI look clean but again if you don't like to see that you can just go to modules and untick that so you can you've got like a text here for class so where it says like Warrior there again if you don't like the look of that if you don't want it there maybe it's useful for your Target so we'll get around to that in a minute but maybe for your player you don't want to see that because you know what you're playing you can just remove it on your health bar you have the text for probably your name uh and you could remove that no sorry that's your amount of Health and you could change that to whatever you want it to show in this option here for the code you could change that to let me just show you how it is now so it shows 100 and total amount of Health so that's absolute but maybe you just wanted to show just the absolute so you haven't got the percentage or the absolute and short mode the difference they'll only tell you how much health you've lost there's lots of different things it's just a good or a case of you know having it how you want it set some people like the really clean look where you don't have you know much information there but again if you're tanking you might want a a bit more I'm just going to do it as a mini just so I can see exactly how much health I've got yes your power bar you might want to change it to um you know absolute short that's not really changing it much so many there we go Mini and maybe what I'll change the location so it's in the middle so it shows there and you might want to increase the size of it it's all just down to to your preference you might want to move like the name you might want to attach it to the the blank space bar down here maybe you want to put the blank space at the top Blank Space pinch It To The Top so play around with your attacks here and you know just be careful kind of keep checking as you're doing it because you might want to change how things are looking but other customized options you could hide the com yeah the opacity of it so make it kind of almost invisible the rest of this outline that you can see here this darkness is probably down to the background of the actual um player frame and not not this Blank Space again you could color it by class if you wanted to to the background if you want it to get rid of that you could then hide that by dropping this down so then you just got the name there floating in in space I know I'm kind of jumping around a bit I'm just trying to find interesting stuff for you that that might be helpful but it's more of a case of going through all of these different options and yeah finding what works for you and how you want it uh again not the name I might want it in the blank space in the middle and then I'd probably change my health to be in the middle as well everything centralized there okay okay something that might be interesting for you guys is if you go on to your indicators and go to portrait you can enable that and then you have it I have it there why you can put it in the center so you've got a little icon there uh you can change the height of it so actually if you were to change the overall height and then winter indicators change the height of that you could squash it down how about that for a little icon it might be too much for some people but uh you can change the background color maybe make it red I probably preferred it as it was it's being black and you could move the camera distance well that's a bit too far there we go can make it full body if you want um oh now you've got it as you don't have to position it on a bar you could take it off and you could make it bigger down here and then you'd probably want to change the height back down to that quite a lot of tweaking you can do so now it's time to look at your Target and off Target perhaps you don't don't want it to be looking like that maybe you don't want to see the portrait what you would do is you would go into your layout editor maybe type in Target so now what you could do is you go into your units you go to your Target and you change the layout to Target as you can see it's already copied what you've done for your player and you could tweak it however you'd like from then so if I just move that other way you could essentially if you go back to your layout editor you could go to your portrait attach it to the unit frame and maybe you want it on the outside right side so then they've got like a matching pair so they look the same it's got the same information on there that's great but perhaps maybe your target or Target you want even less information and that's typically what I run so you would go to your layout editor you'd go in here and you talk type in there uh tit for Target Target go to your units change it to Target's Target and you want Target or Target now typically I want this maybe shorter a little bit smaller I don't normally want to see the power bar as a warrior I just want to see who the target target is what their health situation is at I don't necessarily want to see the portrait either but at least now when I'm in combat I can see who the target's Target is and you can keep an eye on that in case it switches over to you so that's the basic guide to Pitbull and I would just highly recommend this if you're the type of person who wants a full customized look you want to make things look you know very different then go for this you can you can do pretty much anything you want with it right so the next thing is going to be weak auras to open up the window for week or as you'll go to slash wa and you can either import here you paste in the strings for each of your weak auras if you found them somewhere else or you can start making your own custom ones now one of the recalls that I typically like to set up is something that shows me things that are available for me to use in order for me to start doing some extra damage or there's special abilities such as shattering throws available it's off cooldown so you know if they're going to be grouped together like it's a bunch of cooldowns I typically do a dynamic group call that cooldowns and I would use an icon and do type in there shattering throw just to label it and your trigger section here is where you can set up the parameters of what triggers it to show or not show the icon as such so again it's really customizable you can do whatever you want in here so maybe it's a normal or a buff or a debuff that you get but in this case we're going to get a spell and we're looking at the countdown of it so let's change that to capturing the throw type that in press enter and it finds the icon for you and you can show it when it is not on cooldown okay so that's there ready you can do a new week aura so let's change this now to as for this for the sake of this I know it's not Fury but Bladestorm trigger it's another spell light Stone show not on quarter so as you can see this Dynamic group is starting to grow and you can keep adding and keep adding and keep adding and it will just grow all the way down your entire screen here but if you want to change that so the grow it goes maybe in a grid or it goes uh left to right Central horizontal that that's all there you could move it around wherever you want just by clicking and dragging it but you'll see in my game player you'll see that it's just above my player unit frame here it's probably the easiest place I can keep an eye on everything so I can see what's going on in the fight in the middle of my screen but I can also keep an eye on what my cooldowns are and I know my keybinds a lot of the other things you might want to add in here um are things like potion of speed so it doesn't have to be a spell to the new weak aura or an icon for potion of speed your trigger would be an item an item name again that's not on cooldown simple as that so these will only show when they are not gonna go down like that so really that's how it's going to look and it'll sit there like that until you use the abilities uh let me just try and demonstrate that if I pop that can you see it's disappeared that's because it's on cooldown now perhaps what you might want to do is do a separate one on this side to show you the cooldowns it's it's completely up to you how you want to do it so the next thing you might want to do and like I said it is do a list of your cooldowns so if you can select off of this go to new New Aura and have a dynamic group and call it uh cooldowns spell uh timer cooldowns you can't have the same name twice you've got it here and you so you can't have it here as well and we're going to have a progress bar and we're going to call this one a blade storm timer at the moment it's in the middle of the screen here and again I'm going to make this supersized if I can move it there we go and I'm going to change the trigger to spell and there again slave storm got to be spelled correctly blade storm and it will show one when it's on cooldown so to move it you'll need to select the group and move it over there and you could click on this add new or progress bar you could make the next one chapter in the fro for example add timer at the end you can change the bar color to be blue and at the moment can you see we've got a difference in the sizes between that bar and that bar and to avoid that I would change all of the details on the size of the bars in here so if you change them to the same widths same Heights then they are actually the same I did actually forget to change this as well to transferring the flow so show it when it's on cooldown to now when I go to use shattering throw is here but I know it goes on cooldown it shows up here so I can see when that's going to become available if I can try and find someone a mop here come on give me some rage now I'm gonna do a shattering throw and that adds up there as well so a lot of you've been asking about the week Aura for the Sunder armor that comes up in the middle of my screen which I have I have now changed so you'll see in some of my older videos that there's a big Under Armor warning sign that comes up in the middle of my screen to tell me when sunderama is reaching you know a time of less than 10 seconds just so then I won't ever Miss um refreshing that thunder armor on the target um because it's the worst thing in the world when you lose five stacks of sunder armor because you forgot to refresh it and now you gotta lose five Global cooldowns to get it back up again so I just did a new aura for an icon trigger it's gonna be an aura on the target and it is a debuff the name thunder armor and then I just made it much bigger by going to display changing it to I think this is a 500 looks like probably about that nice big thing like that um you could I would recommend maybe changing uh the alpha so extra options just just to fade out a little bit so you can see roughly what you're doing I should also mention that in the trigger you want to have a remaining time ticked is less than 10 enter so it'll only show when the when it's less than 10 seconds left this big thing will come off in your screen and will annoy you until you put a new center armor up the other things you could do as well you could go into our animations and you could change it to maybe a preset animation so it pulses like that just to get your attention even more you could add a glow I mean that is probably a bit too much that's too little that's let's go for the altar called shine but then you can amend it in here so you could put the scours being much bigger you could change the offset of it if you want to the quantities now this if you had that as a week or if you're under armor for the last 10 seconds it counting down like that 10 9 8 7 6. you would never ever ever miss another armor that is just you would have to be pretty brain dead to mess that on your screen but the problem I also found is having it that big on the screen meant like during the fight I couldn't see what was going on yeah as soon as I saw it I pressed Under Armor but I would run into problems with like fishes on the ground and I'll die so as helpful as that was I would strongly recommend that you don't have a big thing on the screen and that you actually reduce the size of it so let's change it down to about 250. or 250. and just have it offset somewhere where you're going to notice it and have this glow have it flashing like moving around then you won't you won't miss it again as an arms Warrior I tend to do exactly the same but for end trigger again Target edema name brand remaining time less five seconds 250. 250. you want to add a glow make sure that the glow is going to be something that you notice like that and if you want throw in an animation do it as a shake maybe a flash that's an even bigger warning for you just try and get them lined up together so there are two big things that you need to make sure keep you keep on the boss but yeah that's just be inventive you know if there's anything else that you want maybe you want to see your Trinket procs just play around with it don't be afraid nothing's really going to go wrong again you might want to show a texture you could change the texture to yeah let's call this fret for example you want to see when you're all going to get when you're going to over aggro so again make it bigger 300 maybe change it to 500 500 500. okay you could click on here to choose you can change what the texture looks like you've got all of the different options in here that you're going to go through I'm not going to go through them for you you could change the color to red again have it animating uh preset and that would actually drive me mad bouncing they're flashing I was gonna say can you add a glow to that because That'll be amazing okay but the trigger you would change too I believe it says play a spell unit info and you would change it to fret situation on the target so fret percentage I typically do anything more than 80 percent age so type 18 then press enter and now that will okay absolutely crazy you can also add in if you've got sound enabled you could also add in uh conditions no animation nose there we go actions so on show you could have play sound and you can choose anything that line typically go for an air horn um and that'll that'll play a noise and I'm not only I see this but I get yeah the audio announcement that you know you have aggro I mean you've got aggro here but that's quite quiet um you could Loop it so keep it going and repeat it after two seconds as such um so it just keeps saying aggro aggro aggro aggro until you get below 80 again I have similar warnings for when I am low on health so I know to get out of combat you know get out of the way Chuck on a health Port bandage whatever you have you can use weak auras to really help you kind of develop and grow and and learn about the fights if you know that oh I just keep dying on that boss fight well what what is killing you and try and set up a week or a so the next time you get an alert to say you know this has happened to you uh maybe they give off a disease or something and you could set in an action to you know whisper somebody uh whisper putting the person's name saying I have got such and such debuff please dispel what whatever it needs to be you know it's so customizable um let's say we're a blow we've just reached below 80. on hide you might want to play a sound saying I don't know you could choose anything that will make you aware that you're now out of an aggro Temple Bell for example now you know you can carry on dpsing so there you have it and hopefully that has helped you to design your own UI but if you have got any questions please put them in the comments below and I'll try and help you out with bits and pieces uh as we go but it's all just about creating your own UI have it how you want have it so then it helps to train train you into you know playing better or surviving longer whatever you need to do again recourse are brilliant Pitbull is really nice just to make it look yeah good for you clean however you want it whatever information you want there um but yeah just give it a go play around with it that's all that's the way I learned this is just thinking to myself what do I need to show on my screen so I live longer and do more damage um and maybe be ready if anything goes wrong with the raid so yeah give it go maybe let if you can let me know of maybe any week orders that you've made and that you really yeah yourself and that's worked well for you maybe share it with the rest of the community below so hopefully we can all you know develop these together but thanks again for watching hopefully this has been of some help to you and I will try to add more content soon
