Will Gail SURVIVE A 1000mi Desert Trek? with @jennifersugint and Gus - NNKH

back out in beautiful Goodyear Arizona went and picked up Gail the snail from her storage lot and the plan is to trade this in and then head up to Hurricane Utah or hurricane as they say for the Matts off-road recovery event just doing like little trip not participating in it seemed like something fun Mr gooman is ready to hit the road we're just waiting on Jen to come out and then we can go the vehicle we're going to look at today is a 1979 Chevy G30 camper CU we both kind of agreed like this is this is great for camping in but we would like a little bit more space so hopefully that works out uh the only maintenance I've done so far on this this trip is I ripped the vent ventu off a couple days ago and put this sheet of Steel over all right now we got the whole fam old Gale reliable as can be look at that so you might be saying why are we even getting rid of this man if it's so reliable and the answer is it's slow manual steering you know this thing only cruises about 50 mph top speed on the Highway 55 is like pushing it and we got a well jeez probably 6 7 hour drive ahead of us also safety as a consideration with this this cabover style Vans it uh you know feels a little little dicey all right we're i7 North and this is what 55 mph looks like pretty much maxing around the the fan is the loudest thing and we've also got a little bit of a floor issue you know no big deal it's like black ball I have to keep pushing the blanket down with my foot but it's good we got that loud obnoxious pin because we're going to need all that air flow I don't know if you guys ever been off i7 toward Flaga but it's uh it's a pretty steep climb up and down up and down and if we want to hold that needle in the middle then uh we're going to need that need a quick pit stop for some fuel uh here's look at this floor I I pulled out all the rusted metal that was there but I'm thinking maybe we'll just yeah there you go I think we're better off if we throw a few things down as far as like noise insulation too yeah that works I uh I peaked my head in and just had his whole face oh no bad boy just like that bad boy I'm going to finish this unless you take a bite now hey [Music] we can do 65 just feel like pushing this old girl a little too much all right this is Full Throttle on the uphill and that's where we're at on the temp gauge it's been pretty normal on the highway anything between the middle and 3/4 clle keeping us at 57 and we made it up on the plateau feel like we're in Kansas [Music] now just about to the RV tell you driving this thing down the freeway at 60 MPH is like if you want to get an idea how it is essentially uh drive your car in second gear on the freeway that's how it feels here we are I think so all right at the right place so the story is this guy's storing this this G30 at a friend's house he took it on a a road trip oh I would say about a year ago or so and then it didn't make it all the way back home he had to get it towed and he dropped it in his friend's yard it's been sitting since what do you think about this property it's nice yeah I like it first thoughts I think it's cute yeah oh hope I I get stuck out here looks pretty clean all right Goose go get him what do you think about this Place huh better watch out for snakes guys you got a friendly dog here sniff sniff oh you're getting along well here's the first glance at the 1979 Rockwood one of the things that turned us on to this was the cheap price and he just put six new tires on before he did road trip out to California and I wonder if this is might have been a sticker he left when he broke down oh here we go broken down waiting for tow truck in AC down the road I like that it's all luminum you know the newer campers that are uh fiberglass you get that delamination it's probably rotten beneath it but the wood of course but looks decent see there you go there's some some rotten wood sure this Camper's got plenty of that ladder's not falling off though continuing o look at this door I mean yeah feels pretty Hollow the nice thing is not a lot of rotten metal since we're out here in a dry climate so check that out take a look inside since it's unlocked oh door panel beautiful this is gorgeous that's what I like to see oh man look at the original seats wow this can't have too many miles look at that that was something else I saw in the picture that turned me on I was like man so 65,000 miles it's showing got the dog house open here the same carpet as uh Gale well pretty much and this is a first look inside what do you think uh it's all right I can stand up guys come here 6' three and okay my head just kind of hits now water leaks are a big concern I'm sure it's had its fair share of those over the years nice bed over the cab these they always rot out up here too doesn't stink it does not stink it's got a full shower though check that out pooper plenty of storage I mean you could you could have a Heyday clean this thing up might need a new stove might work though and comes with all the uh look we got a hot plate I mean come on there's some value right there if it comes with all the plates and such that Mouse Poop it is right yeah get out of here we got some mouse poop oh here's the Scoop after inspecting the roof which has leaked all over the the place I think this just has too much rotted wood I I mean to be hit in a highway like even things like this door I mean it is just it's not it's not good that and found a few Mouse nests in there which me and Jen kind of were both like do we want to deal with another uh a mouse turd Fest but it's a shame because like to me it is worth it we could gut this whole thing out like underneath it is just beautiful these are a unibody truck like the frames kind of built into the body but I mean she's pretty darn spotless as you would expect the vehicle out here oh boy got gas in it still has the Blackwater tank and all the plumbing hooked up for that look up at the filler neck you see this somebody had a tire blow out at some point or I guess it could have just been a piece of rubber on the road is how we're looking under the dogghouse got an hii on there and let suppose a 350 it looks like yeah 5.7 L 350 cubic inch four barrel oops all the fluids are up to level let's give this thing a little crank over doesn't have the key in the column on these early ones they can just it right away here I keep people away right all right throw the jump pack on sounds pretty good it's already a can of starting fluid here but it's empty not a good sign that tells me definitely fuel issues I had some other stuff down in here we got brake parts cleaner that'll do sometimes depends whoa case oh we got some carb cleaner yeah oh yeah just not getting Fu that's all now it's getting F wow this thing's idle and F sounds pretty good yeah one the poliy is dry 40 alternator doing pipes this guy's actually taking a video of me too cuz he has it up for sale so now he can show that it runs and drives uh even if we don't buy it which I don't think we're going to take it even though I am heartbroken by this news because it runs and drives great and it's it's a cheap price but drive's good yeah did you get a video clip yeah cool so now you can say it runs and drives uh where do you want this park same spot yeah just just back it right back that was fun to check out but we're going to go do a hike now and then we'll see where this brings us be scouring Marketplace for other vehicles that aren't filled with rodents feel that elevation yeah hard to touch my breath little bit thinner air you feel it guys look at this Prof ction lava rocks we have made it to the top looking back down at where the camper was he said these are all 2 and 1/2 acre lots I didn't fact check it but yeah nice little Valley how was it we live at sea level in p Pennsylvania I'm out of breath cuz it's like out of breath what is that I don't even know whoa babe there's caves up here c yeah well if you had to to camp this would be [Applause] perfect a that's pretty cool yeah this goes all the way under I mean we can kind of go out this way oh no oh I don't like this this makes me claustrophobic me out of here actually if you look close you can see the camper down there zoom in a little bit that is that blurry blob is the camper feel so refreshed yeah it was a nice nice hike feel good uh we are not going to camp tonight because the high today up here was 45 and the low's in the low 20s that means Frozen snot yeah that means we have no heater in in our camper old caves crater yeah Coconino National Forest we checked into a Best Western and stopped over at the salsa Bravo get some Mexican food Jen went and checked the listing on Facebook of the uh the RV we were looking at he already added a video of when I was driving around the field he was pretty stoked to see it up and running so probably just clogged fuel lines or bunch of rust in the tank Jen got the chicken quad I got the Caritas combo oh yeah so Sister Wives actually used to eat here too I think you said okay it was this guilty pleasure show that I walked called sister wiv and um yeah they came here quite often usually for their breakups canot all right all right all right that's enough guys come on good morning from Flagstaff sun's out starting to melt the ice on these puddles gob's got some grass how about this what do you think of the grass boy what do you think it is huh oh yeah doing the daily fluid checks we seem to be burning quite a bit of oil that's uh we filled I topped it off packing Phoenix and that's at least a court oh I'm going to go with some 2050 this time hopefully slow that down drop a little Marvel Mystery in there too what is it boy what do you got over here what is it oh it is your bone look at that he just wared his bone back up with Mommy he goes into his Sun patch now one cor brought us halfway up on a stick and I think we'll pour this whole bottle into let it work its magic another thing I wanted to take care of real quick is this exhaust terminates right underneath I think it's kind of causing exhaust to sometimes get back into the cab so let's see if we can shoot that out the side would be the easiest option use this oil cap for a measurement I think this should do it it's not perfect but we got to all came with a blade but in backwards kind of works fine though either way and there's how we're looking for a final product I did add a hanger too since before this was our only hanger and that could definitely lead to snapping off the pipe up at the manifold check the trans fluid differential good to go ready to hit the road get in the boot get in the boot goose the dog house that's where they cook up wieners like you get some coffee before we hit the road G is over here he thinks he's going to get another pup Cup oh you have pup cups here too yeah we'll take one of those I'm sure he would love that you hear that g they do have pup cups all right you guys are all set have a great thanks so much to Gus what' you get G okay let's get out of here he just want the whipped cream huh oh that's a happy pops is going to have fluffy turds if he eats that whole thing little side detour we're going to grab some wood before we get to the Desert Paradise for wood here at all this Pine stuff's already split too yeah perfect I mean it's Forest here too it's not private property so suppose it is a good way to bring termites into our wood filled then but I don't really care about the wood too much in this thing let him eat it we'll lighten the load yeah you done your sniff check or what let's go boy really these are the kind of Roads Gail is happy with cruising at this speed minus all the the noises you know got to kind of ignore that part we'll be staying on Old rout 66 most of the day passing through a few towns and then hopefully making it to uh Laughlin tonight get some warmer [Music] weather Williams city limit back in pavement bus we're going to go stop by Burger Joint get some meat Circle Pines KOA look a go-kart track at a KOA how cool is that this is the place Cruisers Route 66 Burger there this looks cool think they'll let this guy sit outside oh yeah ni we got some princess parking that looks like a classic burger and down the mountain toward a warmer climate it's going to be like 30° warmer in Lofland would have been more fun to go by air if we could putt these signs up there he tried to cross as fast train neared death didn't draft him he volunteer I saw you lost your hat there huh yeah look at the dog oh he's a big boy service station that would be really neat to buy a place like that fix it up you know this one's just kind of out in the middle of nowhere Roadkill Cafe 4 mph not five so this is a spot that was probably once booming very much and now it's just kind of dead for the most part go see if you can start one of those cars still in business though yeah could stuff got some gas pump collection you want to go play the dino mini mini golf course if it was a little warmer out and a little earlier we just passed through Peach Springs and now we're in truckton kind of pretty dead the old Frontier Motel look at this guy's place the Orlando Motel he's got some old semis out Peterbilt GMC cabover that's an old school cabover dirty old K Whopper look at this Peter that sleeper oh yeah this guy's got the right collection right here he got his Dotson out of the sun Pals Orlando Motel doesn't look open now we'll continue on through a few other towns Valentine kroer and then Kingman and then we'll probably see you in llin less strip more steak is the motto we saw but coming down the mountain and then seeing that from all the way up top and that was that was a big elevation drop we are crossing the mighty Colorado it is so much warmer down here after coming coming down the mountain Jen booked us a room at the what the Pioneer right the new Pioneer dirt cheap nice weather beats the 22° it was up in Flagstaff we got a room right next to the casino entrance see if it's stinky smells good oh yeah what do you think gooseb oh go your [Music] check this out yes no barking no bark no barking in the room even a light bark not even a light bark you hear that bounce him for a walk him for a walk okay we got to go for a walk buddy drop that what you do next morning walk out the room do it to a stunning view of the Colorado River I just love this small town this water stays the same temp year round I think it's like 55° cuz it comes off the the Davis Dam sniff sniff sniff and there goes the water taxi and I'll F you up and down the strip or across to Bullhead City before they had the bridge that was the only way to get across here unless you went all the way up and around well Jen's going to do a little editing and I think I'll take advantage of this overcast weather a little bicycle ride perfect temperature out we got this Trail right on the edge of town it goes I think maybe a couple miles up toward the dam Davis Dam let's check it out it's a Monday so nobody out pretty much all to myself right across the way is where we camp last time we were out here with the the Torino right yeah there's a Davis Dam taming the mighty [Music] Colorado [Music] this is bicycle access only maybe used to be open to the public so we're now Crossing into Arizona Davis Dam and Power power plant and that overhang wow it's like 12 ft couple Coyotes Taking the path I'm back in town and hope I didn't bore you guys too much with that ride but yeah can't say it enough I mean if you haven't visited here before it's it's a cheap awesome place to go and there's just so many spots to kick back and relax listen to all the birds back at the hotel I'm admiring all this old woodwork it might be twisting a little bit but that is sturdy as can be like these beams going across are probably six inches by oh I don't know 12 in I just like how you know this is not a facade this is the structure of the building we picked this nice Beach spot so Jen could do a take a stab at making a mural she's tracing it out right now from a picture on her phone I'm not an artist not an artist but we'll see how it comes out she's actually doing a video on it too that means me and you get to chill out today just do whatever huh did want to show you guys this windshield was leaking after you know we had brand new windshield and seal put in last video we did on this it was leaking pretty bad so I got some of this amp clear silicone which comes out clear and went around the whole thing no more leaks that is an ice batho refreshing though it's looking pretty good over here it's going to be so funny going down the highway like that oh it is a shame to cover up this beautiful patina I know some guys are like oh patina is just laziness over many many years I love it though there she is Picasso herself you've been sitting in the sun too long huh oh you are a hot doggy time to drop a new set of points and a condenser in by Blue Streak just a little preventative maintenance it's also been kind of running a little rough at uh idle sometimes so check the Gap might as well replace them keep it off anyway look at that Leatherman Wave It's All You Need how often do you get lucky with a flathead where your bit will hold it into place and you don't have to Fumble around and for points Gap probably around 20,000 or so we just eye it up I like to take either a business card or dollar bill fold that into six trifold it and so that'll be about just over 20,000 don't forget to lube up your felt pad just pull the dip stick out drop some of that oil on there yeah now drive that see if it's any better look at that rolling style now I love it three up on the bike taking Goose man and J out for a ride you got some good sniffs or what [Music] boy came over to the campground area pulled right up on the river sparked up a little fire and we can dry Jen's paint further next morning and it is the last day in paradise here so we're going to hit the road toward Utah take the back way I think it's like 3 and 1/2 hours but we're going to take the 5H hour way hopefully go through a few small towns and such it's the hotel beach here and at normal water levels you can hang out there at the with the sand but you got to go across all these rounded rocks to get to the water at this level oh if mommy saw you right now Gus she would be screaming saying get him away from that edge Daddy's got faith in you though oh I think we picked up a a piece of foam dang it oh my how is it still hanging on I got Truck Park in here how the heck did that come for the oh it got caught on the ibam Axel in the front wow we were just scraping that along the RO goodbye Cado River and welcome to the desert for the rest of the day it's one thing I love about Laughlin as soon as you pull out of town it's just barren nothing 360 views I mean we're literally like a mile from town pop off on this little road outside you can look down at the valley wow that is cool I think this leads all the way down to the lake Mojave actually Lake Mojave yeah really like just a bird's eye view up here it's pretty cool stop in Cal cavari I thought there was a gas station here I guess not just a little Casino it's actually a really neat place place cuz they got their own strip right here so if you're into Aviation got a casino air strip what else what you need living out here is it harder to land on a dirt strip do you think I would imagine so but if you had the right um tires and suspension like they got their own hangers too they're uh doing some filming over there what's for lunch I prepared you a nice cold can of soup Oh Boy tell your dad Thanks for these sunglasses too I love these things bring they came in handy made in USA right on the side of it look at that I don't see that no more boulders City looks like uh the Breaking Bad RV right here saying Lake me off in the distance Jen's going to make a couple phone calls so pop it on the bike and I'm going to take a ride up this historic railroad Trail I think there's a few tunnels up here still lots of boats in the water down at the marina you can really get an idea of how low the water is though like look at the boat ramp starts all the way over there wow and that brings us over to this series of tunnels looking back there coming through Moapa Valley probably said that wrong oh the Red Rooster bar slots beer it does look like a place worth checking out open 24 hours just a cute little bar check this place out I like the frontage 24 hours we figured since we're going to be leaving Nevada we uh out of the try our luck One Last Place Kenny Rogers The Gambler this must be an old machine Penny pennies and they let the Gooseman in how about that somebody put a bullet in his head Jen has decided to cash out at 9.90 hand pay required you don't get no money out of the machine you got to go see the bartender I've never seen that before well that was an exciting stop uh gen won $4.90 and it's like a huge process you got to go see the bartender they look over at the machine and then they have to pull out their big bulk and write down the the payout come over clear the machine you went to get ice cream here right yes all right now we're going to hit the inside scoop you stay there boy look at that they are open the inside's sco what' you get blackberry cobbler M I got the coffee and mousse track something or another says where is my pup cup where is my pup cup you can have this little piece of nothing though here you go he doesn't even want that he just looks at the ice cream it was an hour and 15 minutes to Hurricane but the way we're going to go 2 and 1/2 hours scenic route avoiding I15 and apparently there's some dirt roads on our route as well no it's an hour longer mot in third gear going to have to drop it oh what do you think of the back way it's beautiful but it's I'm glad I didn't use the linseed oil and mineral spirits to polish Gil yeah that would have been terrible oh gaale you are getting it done wow are you sure you're taking the right way yes this is this is the right way like as soon as you come to the ridge it just just done you got to feel this wind oh man look at all the tires dumped down there that stinks that was really cool that we came up all that mountain of stuff and then it's just a flat Plateau up here I was a little worried I was hoping it wasn't going to be up and down Mountain Trails the whole way well it's still could be right it seems like it's going to be fairly flat oh man for a second I got nervous I saw this private property you ever go down a dirt road thinking it'll cut through and you go for so long I don't know this doesn't look promising I guess we made a wrong turn motorcycle out here on a trailer yeah now it's getting a lot more soupy Sandy so we're going to spin it around on the flats down here and hopefully get back up this no problem oh boy we don't like this turn around here cuz there's a lot of soupy sand off Trail I'm going to try to reverse up the hill that we just we just came down and I'm going to cross my fingers that this stuff's not really really that soupy it's definitely soft sand though okay and we can't make it up in Reverse we got to turn around Jen you mad [Music] and I know some of you guys think I might be overreacting but if you ever been in the sand with two wheel drive it uh can get bad real quick after this wash here I get some speed we're going to need it no problem all right we're pass the this Sandy Hill oh we're good still very curious what's up with that motorcycle there on the trailer but we're not going to waste your time looking at that back up the mountain we go so at the top of this hill is where we made the wrong turn I wasn't looking at the GPS uh this is the way to go but it looks pretty Rocky so you know I think with Gail I think we're going to pass on this one and uh Cruise back town take the highway one bad thing about a carburetor is you can't not use fuel going down a hill with fuel injection it uh cuts the fuel out completely J's getting dusted out well we're back in town following our GPS directions and it's now taking us on the airport strip which we just passed the sign said no Outlet what the heck they seem to be expanding the air strip here they got some pavers out there and such I think our uh might beam switch is AC oh I think we'll we'll keep her on low beams trying to stick on back roads because this thing you know these tail lights aren't very bright on the highway and so I just ran in an Auto Zone and got some new reflective tape and you see that makes a giant difference and we do have these little reflectors too but those are kind of worn out so I grab grab some new guys yeah the new one mounted on there definitely brighter than the other made it just in time for the hot tub made it to St George and uh tomorrow we're going to the event right yeah all right next morning getting lucky with this weather I can see all from the distance those mountains bunch of Stormy clouds on top of those I'll look at all the White Caps out on the lake that leby broke wo i flood all of these cars the gooseb is getting sand blasted so low to the ground oh he likes the sand close your eyes Gus so this is pretty cool there is more a I just got to to meet Todd from project forum that is really cool and Matt bleeping jeene and we're just we're going to just enjoy this now it is Friday morning heading back over to the event Jen decided to stay at the room get a little work done see if that rain is going to hold off much CER out on the water I don't see any White Caps kind of rolled the dice and headed up toward the sand parking got the last spot cuz I rolled up there there was nothing else that right right on the water here cuz otherwise they W you to park all the way out there in the big parking lot and then take a bus in probably take the ebike out today hit some trails with this there's just a a massive line of Allroad vehicles coming through the tunnel suppose they're they're doing the events all the way up there so I'm going to try to ebike it up it's funny watching some stock stuff come up through this so scraping real hard I mean this sand is just really soft like this Jeep right here he's probably got to got to air down he's going to get through it there it is I'm just aired down and we can motor over this stuff no problem the soft you get sucked up in like this right here you just get sucked but you got to walk through it basically get off Trail get on the Rocks up to the top no problem nice view not so cold anymore it's funny watching some of these rigs come up really struggle side by sides none of them do but yeah this stuff is steep and soft luckily quite a bit of moisture in it today though so it's not as bad as if it was just straight dry this for months happening I guess so I'm just taking a break after hiking I think it's just over there yeah all right this is kind of funny so I to top of the hill I would say it's a lot of disappointed people like at least four or five people ask me Hey where's the event where's the event and then I think it's just over this way so I'm kind of walking toward where there's people but a lot of winded winded not so goodlook people coming up this that are just getting beat up by the elevation and the incline I mean I saw one guy coming up with a cane and I was just like somebody got to give him a ride you know if I had a UTV I'd scoop him up in a second he looked frustrated you know like he he wanted to get to the action but he couldn't get to it this is this is what you you're getting if you come here you're getting a lot of exercise and uh you never know what could happen out here he INF from Miss [Music] banana this thing got rear Scar and the guy in there is actually using it's incredible [Music] I mean everyone's rock climbing crawling clim you got to be in shape Heavy D doing a loop around the [Music] place heading back over for the final day and maybe will'll be lucky enough to win that jeep pretty cool looking over at the mountain all that snow was not there the other day so that's it's it snowed up there for like 2 days straight we got so lucky and the sun has come out it's just turned into spectacular weather for the day Goose man's liking it the Red Sand he likes digging the Red Sand what are you digging now for boy say you'll see there is something we are sticking around for one simple reason we're going to win the Jeep the Jeep giveaway yes what about you Jen I don't know how you're going to win it when I'm going to win it oh we're feeling lucky I'm not going to be driving Gail home we're back to Phoenix let's go get a bar bre on come on come on go next thing I want to do guys is I just want to thank every one of you that came out here genuinely thank you because this has been the best audience the cleanest audience this Hillside looks cleaner than it did when we showed up here got the Polaris [Music] XP all right Goose after all the wind coming up no no tracks at all now we're perched up on here and I have never seen this phenomenon before these bugs are going into the blades watch this oh they're flies actually they're they're attacking it and they're just getting shredded oh my gosh this thing is a fly killer wow oh just dropped Jen off at the rain she's going to have a little lunch take a break go out for one more rip [Music] in [Music] everybody this is amazing safer than it looks all right I see why you need a turbo model now sand just eats you up forget about it nope just going to bury bury yourself like the camera really doesn't do it justice well that wraps up an awesome day we had such a blast ripping this Polaris even the goose man and enjoyed it uh if you guys are ever out in Utah definitely check out mad moose rentals and I was just talking to the owner Spencer he said he's going to give me a link for you guys 10% off uh so I'll drop that down below and I'm telling you it's worth the visit we only made it to the the top of the world but there are just so many more trails and I can't wait to get out of here again decided to stop by the Chuck carama Buffet this place is great little bit of everything thing made yourself a nice salad yes sir always a good bang for your buck at the chakarama vacation is officially ending we got to get heading back toward home so it's an hour and 48 back to Vegas on to the 15 we [Music] go this is what we came through off at night remember yeah you couldn't see anything thank you for stopping detours like always we're offro and Gil we're trying to find a spot to shine her up yeah we posted up at this spot and Jen is going to hit with some shine juice see how it comes out she's actually going to have that in her video too the process of it post it up on the up on this Mesa and it is just spectacular out a little really goes a long way with this stuff we probably used not even 10% of the bottle to cover the whole van looking like a million dollars took away some of the the patina definition but this will dry to more of a a matte finish look at this it's actually drizzling now too uhoh I hope that doesn't affect great can't get your break brother but uh you know the sun will burn it off we'll rewipe it down if we have to it's like The Truman Show with the fake rain and all the fake things that happened there that was a that was an amazing movie look at this some shell casings what is 223 it looks like yep Remington 223 somebody's probably blasting AR15 here hopefully not firing rounds over at the town that was fun back on the road we go Chris I could have messed with you so much harder there backer off the cliff we are pushing this cookie to the limit hold the 65 on the way in Vegas can kind of see it all from the distance there we made it into town and uh quite B of traffic I think we're going to head off strip somewhere get and we've made it Railroad Pass Casino Nevada's oldest casino do dog friendly and uh real quick I'm going to check out this Trail right behind the railroad pass it's a 34 mile Loop the River Mountain Trail I think it's called and this is mile zero I think up around the bend we'll be able to get a view of Las Vegas and this whole mountain is covered with a ton of trails right now I'm under some power lines you can hear the crackle powered by the Hoover Dam hydroelectric and uh just a spectacular view behind me of Las Vegas you can see the strip too I don't know how well it comes across on camera but you see all those flickering lights of the city next morning going to head back on the trail go the other way toward Boulder City actually got to hit the Auto Zone and get a fuel filter too this temperature is just perfect 70° I love how they have these paths along highways I mean come on this is amazing I can't resist this woo almost like Terminator 2 right an LA River I mean this is where they can get dangerous you know if the flashh flood comes behind you not to 's any rain anywhere in the area wow this so far [Music] that's where I just was let's see if we can find the exit I think we found it over here at a drainage basin now this is graded out nicely they have to constantly come in here and regrade this too after big storms you know it'll erad away they come in here with bull and make it all good again oh there's the there's the exits be fun to get on a skateboard and cruise through there or something and then this a little catch Basin I catch all the sediment or trash oranges that kind of thing I'm surprised the birds aren't grabbing those this has everything spilling into it imagine being down here during a flash flood order I mean by the time the water makes it to these offshoots it's just shootting out you know taking the Fastway to town Boulder City town that built Hoover Dam got the goods time to hit the road are you ready to hit the road Goose man huh you ready to go this was us the other day doing 55 now we're just [Music] ripping [Music] he away take [Music] we are 25 minutes away from our camping spot in Phoenix and unfortunately the generator light has just come on headlights get a little dim so we got this Sho the most likely culprit in this situation is going to be the generator right there or it could be the regulator rectifier so we got resting voltage of 12.75 they got their fancy volt meter yeah it's just not charging at all 12.38 yeah that's all I got to see I just wanted to make sure I mean usually if the light comes on it's Telltale so they don't have anything in stock so for now we're going to just grab a marine starting battery well 20 minutes to go at least we got a spare battery now so no problem I'm sure it'll be fun ah we've made it to White Tank headlights are still working oh oh are you kidding Chris just ni with you oh he loves the dirty carpet oh we got some sou soup yeah you want to bite dad that's oh this is dog food Gus slow it down buddy he literally swallowed the whole thing looks like Goose man tucked himself in D there he is do you hear all those coyotes out there good morning last day of the trip and it ends the same way it began camping in a van over at White Tank Regional Park we got some uh some soup uh crackers and cream cheese coffee out of a jug and just kind of yeah life is good hey he C you can have this one he went to steal your green teas guys you're so bad just I see they're busy filming I have got a potential buyer lined up to look at this today so we're going to go visit him in a little bit something I wanted to point out about the shine Ju uh we we we really messed up cuz you see we got some bugs in it uh but we put it on too thick and it looks beautiful but you know it's still a little tacky 2 days later even sitting in this hot sun see how it's soaking up my fingerprints areas where I buffed it in those dried perfectly and so if you put shine juice on your car after you apply it just get dry towels rub the whole thing down get off as much as you can cuz it won't dry otherwise here's what it looks like Up on the Roof actually not tacky at all up here CU that was going on the rust so it kind of you know soaked it up good I made you breakfast Jen has prepared the breakfast let's go let's go you just peed and pooped you'll go run into some Cactus hey what are you doing that's a bad dog see see if we got enough battery juice to get down to Buckeye we made it down to Buckeye Arizona we got Josie over here that's your name right I got it right he's got a 62 Comet this thing's pretty cool and Jen's going to just relax with goose man in the garage we're going to go for a spin might be the potential new owner of Gale right we'll see if we explain the the sh to him I'll see if he uh can shift this thing like butter up forward right or reverse yeah you got it uh parking brake there you go handled way better than I thought it would and it's weird being over the wheel it's smooth right it feels like so up back [Music] yep he lives in a really cool neighborhood here you kind of do what you want so so forward and then down and then up there we go there you go yeah the third's going to be just straight back there we go and that's all your gears pretty good I like it it'll be my Home Depot truck yeah well he's taking the van so we're going to take a look at his Comet real quick then we got to run some errands and we're actually going to store our junk here here too uh he's he's got so nice of him to let us store some of our junk you bought that auction you said yep bought it on auction and brought it in from the auction on my trailer and then it's been sitting here yeah that sounds good A little Rich fires right up so it sounds like it's just kind of dumping Fuel and I think that's part of your run issues but have you taken it for a test D much or the Box barely made it when it came back and started sping it yeah it's running really rich well this has got an Amazon carburetor on it and he said he hasn't done any any adjustments I think the chok's just staying on actually had them shut it off cuz we don't have a rad fan or a water pump right now we got the choke adjusted here should remember a little bit better the uh long headers too check those out stainless steel it wasn't coming off choke at all before so we can dump and [Music] K all right yeah I forgot it doesn't have a belt yeah yeah we don't want over heater so runs a little bit better now right yeah well the deal is sealed on the van but we still have it for a few more hours so going to enjoy it get things wrapped up back here and then drop it off catch your plate out of town don't fail us now Gil our final sunset with Gail now look how red the mountains are out there you see it yeah it's cool yeah I love this guy's neighborhood check out these houses all Big Lots and you can kind of do whatever you wanted seem look at the shop that guy put up thing's huge we got to just unload all our stuff and then catch a ride to the airport all right Gail it's been a pleasure nice know new girl nice knowing you we'll uh maybe we'll see you again in the future you did great you really did we had the hammer down and uh you didn't you didn't let us down and I just want to say a massive thank you for tuning in especially if you watch this far I know this video turned into more of like a vacation Vlog since we we bailed on
