I'm here with my good buddy John, aka PokeMEN7,
and we will be clashing in the Impossible Pokemon
Catching Challenge. Not literally, impossible, but so brutally difficult
that it might as well be! - Mikey and I are playing in
Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu, and in this challenge we
are gonna give each other 10 Pokemon that we
have to try to catch. No repeats, though. And the big catch
here is not only will these Pokemon be difficult, but we're only allowed
to use Poke Balls. No berries, nothing
to help them out, and once that Pokemon flees,
the encounter is over, and you just don't get a point. Whoever catches the most of these impossible to catch
Pokemon wins at the end, and if there's somehow a tie,
we'll go into sudden death, which be revealed
if that happens, 'cause we don't want to entice
you when it doesn't happen. - There's no timer. There's no time limit
or anything like that, and you can catch other Pokemon in between catching
your targets. But as soon as you
start that battle with that particular Pokemon, if it's on your list,
that is your only chance. So, don't forget to subscribe. It's extremely important. Emphasis! Come on, do it to both

don't have one. - Yeah, I'm in Viridian forest just building up a catch combo while I wait for a
Butterfree to show up. Although, I suppose as soon
as I find a Butterfree, then the catch combo's gone. - Yeah, I don't know
if I have, wait. Oh, I have to get a Chansey, and a Chansey already showed up! - Oh, well, let's see
how this goes! (laughs) - Yeah, I mean, it's time. I didn't have my
Premier Balls out yet, which is a little upsetting. I got an excellent to start! - [Michael] Okay. - Oh, if I had got, oh, okay. It's probably good I
didn't get the first one, 'cause impossible challenge
would have sounded silly. (laughing) Nearly impossible,
nearly impossible! Come on, Chansey! - Nearly headless. - Damn it! Oh, I was gonna name it Nearly
Headless, and everything. They call me Mr. Excellent. Come on. Damn it, so I shouldn't
have said that. It was so stupid
and it didn't work. God. This is so infuriating! I hate it!

have such an impressive vert? At some point, one of us is gonna smack the crap
out of our keyboard. - There's a chance I just

a Lickitung, too! Me not having a plan
was the greatest plan. Another excellent! - You're where
Snorlax spawns, too. Snorlax is a catch combo
Pokemon, so to get it to show up you're basically, gonna
need a catch combo. - Do I have to
have a catch combo? - It's like brutally
rare, if you don't. But if you get a big
enough catch combo, it's virtually guaranteed. - What if I convinced
Snorlax I'm really cool and he wants to
hang out with me? - Why do you say such
ridiculous things? - You're like Snorlax. Oh, I caught it! Let's go! - Oh man, that was brutal. In a span of 10 seconds
you called me Snorlax, and then caught one
of your Pokemon. I'm just like, I am a
broken man right now. - On the board! - Ooh, a Bulbasaur has shown
up, which is a good sign. My catch combo's
getting big enough. If I can go find a
catch combo Pokemon, that's on my list of
Charmander, or Charizard, or Lapras, or Hitmonchan. Man, I've spent so
much time in this game, I have this memorized! (laughs) - I've already gone
against two of mine. I feel like I can try
to just get super lucky with Snorlax at this point. - So, the difference, John,
is that Chansey and Lickitung in Cerulean Cave are just
regular spawn Pokemon. - No, no, I know that. What I'm saying is
because I'm ahead I feel like I have
an opportunity just to wait a little bit
longer before I leave. - There's no time! (laughs) - We have no money, man! We don't have an ability
to catch combo everything. - Poke Balls are super cheap. - I have no money. - At all? - What do you think
no money means? - I think there's a place
where you can get them where you can get free
Poke Balls, maybe. I mean, you could go beat
the league real quick. (laughing) - Jeez. - I feel like my cat,
like there's a Bulbasaur just chilling, which
means I can go outside and find a Charizard
and catch it (mumbling). - Well, if you try
to catch something and then you don't catch
it, what's that do? - It breaks your catch combo,
if anything flees from you. But see, the thing is, John,
to get the catch combo Pokemon like Snorlax to show up, you can get a catch
combo of anything. - What do you mean? - The rare spawn, quote,
unquote, Pokemon show up if you have a catch combo
active of any Pokemon. - No, no, yeah, we're on
the same page with that. I don't have the money
to do that too often, so I'm trying to be strategic
is what I'm saying. (laughs) Exeggutor and Nidoking are
in the same place, right? - Yes, they are, but I
think they're just like, oh, Charizard! I ran into him by accident! All right, it's
time for my moment. Oh, I got great! (energetic music) Dang it! - Yeah, you got way too
excited about great. - I got nice! (laughs) Yeah! (laughs) Oh, that was its run animation. This is my last shot
before it flees. (heart beating) Yes! - Oh, did you actually get it? - I caught it, yes! It did its run
animation and I got it! Let's go! Woo! - That's crazy. There you go, wow. - Oh, I'm so hyped! This is a great video idea. My adrenaline. (laughs) - I really wish I
could go back in time, and then hear what your
response would've been if it just ran. (laughs) - Back to get
another catch combo. Doing it in Viridian Forest,
so if a Butterfree shows up, I can get it, because
Butterfree's gonna take a while. - So, I do need
Dragonite too, right? - Yeah, but I had a catch
combo of 14, 15, or 16 when the Bulbasaur showed up, and when the Bulbasaur
showed up, I was like, "All right, yep. "That means there's gonna
be something outside," and I went outside, and
there was a Dragonite, and I made the
Dragonite go away, and then Charizard showed up. That's how the catch
combo Pokemon work. If you get to maybe even
just 10, then like-- - No, I know that. Yeah, no. The only thing that we're
not in the same page of is when I told
you I had no money and not a lot of Poke Balls, that wasn't a euphemism for
something else. (laughs) - Then you might need,
like I'm totally serious. You might want to just run
through the league real quick. - Yeah, yeah, we'll see. - I mean, it's gonna take
you 10 or 15 minutes, but it's not like we're racing, and you're going to need
multiple catch combos to get the catch combo Pokemon
like Dragonite, and Squirtle, and Hitmonlee, and
Snorlax to show up. - I need to just play
Let's Go at some point and get a lot of money. - Just hop in call one day
in chat while you and I just run through the
league over and over again. - Yeah, basically, because if

say I'm glad to hear it. - Well, I found a
Exeggutor easily here, and I've already
seen a Nidoqueen, so I'll just stay here
till I find the Nidoking, and then I'll go
through the elite four very sadly and upsetly. (laughs) Oh man, if you find a Shiny,
but you're on a catch combo, then we're gonna have such
an interesting decision of like, "Man, we've been
here for three hours. "Come on, don't catch
it, don't catch it. "Oh, I caught it!" (laughing) - I'm catching the
Shiny, probably. My catch combos are
not getting that big. But what if I'm getting a Shiny of the Pokemon I'm
catch comboing? Then I'm golden. ♪ Just sittin' here

in a Seafoam Islands. How did I not know

to find my Shiny so I could flex
