here with my very good friend, John AKA PokeMEN7, but rather than
working together, as we've done many
times in the past, today we are clashing in the ultimate Pokemon
catching contest. - The rules for this competition are going to be very simple. Every round we're going
to randomly generate one Pokemon for each of us, we have five minutes to
go find that Pokemon, if we both find it
within the time limit, great, we keep on going, but once someone fails
to find the Pokemon they got in the five minutes, they lose, it's over and
someone's crowned a winner. - It's going to be fabulous
and exciting and fun. So make sure to subscribe

be in the description below and let's get started battling. Uh, actually not
battling, just catching. 'Cause it's Let's Go. All right, so first I'm
going to generate a Pokemon for me and my Pokemon is Staryu, all right.
- Okay. - I think I know where that is. We are not allowed to look up where these Pokemon
are, for the record. We forgot to mention that.
- Very important. - And then John's
Pokemon is Omastar. That is not found in the wild, let's get you something else. Poliwag. - Oh, okay. - Okay, three, two, one, go. - I know,
- Okay. - I know exactly where, where Staryu is found. - You just said you
didn't really know, oh, you're trying
to throw me off. Oh okay. I see how it is. I see how it is. I mean, I think I know
exactly where to go. I think I know a few places. Oh no, I'm getting nervous now. (laughs) - For context, I feel like
I should mention I have, I played the crap
out of "Let's Go." It's been a while, but, oh, I went in the
wrong legend fuchsia. Now I gotta go around. It's fine, I have Arcanine. I'm going faster that way. But I got a shiny

Go," so I remember a lot. - Dude, I'm so nervous, I haven't played
this in so long. And water Pokemon
are not as easy. - I found a Starmie

have to go farther. Okay, I was not able to make ultra balls first.
- That's the difficult part! You have to go farther. There's a time limit! - There is a time
limit, that's true. - Dude, I haven't
played this in so long, I'm like really
overthinking what's even like the easiest
way to get places. It's, oh my God,
it's so stressful. - I mean, I'm just
constantly riding Arcanine, so I move fast. ♪ Hallelujah. ♪ - You see the thing- - I found a shiny Paras! ♪ Hallelujah, hallelujah. ♪ - No you did not. - Yes, no I did Mikey. - I'm not.

wasn't like extremely rare because, and I just got
lucky that one time. That's gone be
awkward, otherwise. - Yeah. - At least I know the
right ledge this time. - Yeah, yeah.
(laughing) I'm so stressed. Farfetch'd are you kidding me? - Still no Starmie. I found, that one showed
up so quickly earlier. - Dude, that's, that's the, the beauty of this
competition, man. - What happens if we both fail? - It's, I mean, that's
a very real possibility. - Oh my God, John. - What? - A shiny Magikarp.

away your Magikarp, I'm running away from mine. This game is I, I'm now remembering
why I enjoyed shiny hunting in it so much. - Yeah, no, that'll,

Pokemon in this game. - You found a

Magikarp for nothing. Man, wow, okay. It's one, one. It's tied one, one. And we're gonna keep going. My Pokemon is
Metapod, all right. I can get a Metapod. And John's Pokemon is Clefable. - Dude, what is wrong with you? Come on.

nervous about this one. - Yeah, I mean

the next part of this round. My Pokemon is Slowbro. - Okay. - Hm, that one's gonna be tough. And John's is Golbat. All right,

better one this time. All right, three, two, one, go. - Okay, there's been a few of
these I've been nervous about not knowing exactly where to go, I appreciate the random
God's giving me a break. - I don't know where Slowbro is. Or if it can be
found in the wild. I think it's Seafoam Islands. - It can be found in
the wild for sure. - Okay,
- I have like, Yeah, I, like I can
see it in my head, like walking
around, being a PAL. - Okay. - Golbat, you're supposed to
pop up, like within seconds. What is this? Ooh, my fun items
have respawned. Huh, two birds one
stone, what a time. - Oh man. - Is Golbat really annoying

is Nidorino, okay. And John's is, that is a fossil, cannot be found in the wild. John's is Rapidash. - Okay. - Can that be found in the wild? - Yeah.

- Of course, it's a stallion. - Okay. All right, ready, set, go. - Can Rapidash be
found in the wild? Clearly not one
with the the horses. - I... No, I'm not. - Yep.

Nidorino immediately, because I'm incredible. - Why do you do

supportive friend. All right. My next Pokemon is Pinsir. That is a Eevee exclusive. Fearow. Okay, I can find
Fearow, now problem. - Okay.
- And John's is Pidgey. Okay, well. - Yeah! - Let's just, let's get going
and get our, get our birds. (both laughing) Get our normal type birds. - There's a Fearow. - Yeah, I caught it first. I think that gives me
a point, one points. - No. got him. All right, cool. - Wow, love it when they... Don't you love when

been often known to be the stomping grounds of many rolling
polling olies, right? - Rolling polling olies? Is that what Rolie Polie Olie
does during election season? - This is taking a little
bit longer to get there. It's shaving some time off for- - Yeah. I only have

a lot worse too. If they're not in the
center, I can't hit 'em. Like, I can't get any, like, I can't get in the
colored circle. I need to say, I just had

less even that it's easy, it's more just, I
don't need to stress. Like, if it takes five minutes, whatever, I'm confident
that I can find it. It's the, it's the stress of

everything I need to make them spawn quickly? - Yeah, I mean, I know

who likes Goldeen. - I mean, well it's, you're about to find out. There's always someone. You can't, you can't say anything
good or bad about a Pokemon because you anger someone. I think that's the
funniest thing about, like, just Pokemon in general. I genuinely love it.
- Being, being a famous Pokemon person, my opinions are going to
upset someone, no matter what. (Michael's laughter
drowns out speaker) - It doesn't matter, they're like you like or
dislike this Pokemon, sir? This, this is like really scary. I, I genuinely don't
know where to go. I'm sure I'll be able to
guess and figure it out, but like, guessing is the

get anything to show up. - Somebody, I'm not going to
name any names, has no idea. I can see multiple Chanseys! - Where are you right now? - I'm in Cerulean Cave. I'm now thinking that's
not where I need to be. I never, I never caught
Magmar as a child. I've been relying on
my "Yellow" knowledge. Oh no.
- Oh, get back in the water. Wait, I mean, we're both
in sticky situations. 'Cause I, I'm not getting much. - Wait, wait, how
much time is left? - Two and a half minutes. - Okay, he can do this. How much time? Oh my God-
- Uh, under two minutes, a minute 45. I don't have it either.

Yellow" as a kid and like, I was like, I didn't, there was no looking
anything up online. So I never found Magmar,

- I never caught those. - You were in Cerulean Cave
and then where did you go? - I went Cerulean Cave and
then just getting so worried, I went to Electabuzz is
'cause I didn't really, I didn't know if it was,
(Michael laughs) if they were exclusives. So I just went there. I was like, this is,
