We Remade the Minecraft Iron Golem from Scratch

sponsored by geology we've remade the iron golem five different ways from scratch in today's dev versus dev mob remake each with unique features and items these iron golems are reimagined to become the ultimate villager friend and this time around we've not only made five new golems but at the end of today's video you'll get to see a glimpse of what they all look like combined you're gonna want to stick around all right we're gonna start with our first golem which is the copper golem made with the latest snapshot blocks as well as a pumpkin of course so all we're gonna do is place this pumpkin right on top boom and just like that the boy is back in town and he is looking a little red hopefully he's not mad at me now this works a little bit different depending on what type of copper you use so believe it or not there's an exposed copper golem there's also a weathered copper golem and naturally an oxidized copper golem okay so what do these guys do we didn't notice one of these original golems has begun to oxidize and what we got from it was some copper dust right here the longer a plain old copper golem sits out the more and more this guy will oxidize eventually turning into this state and then that one over there and then that one over there but you'll see that it's actively happening so we got four copper dust so pressing these buttons you'll see that we can actually fast forward the process of all of these guys slowly turning into their final stage but once we have enough copper dust believe it or not we can use it to make a copper ingot that's right the much harder way of doing things you can also charge copper golems and so if a copper golem is struck by lightning they can become charged this button will spawn a bolt of lightning near our golems now look at homeboy whoa looking pretty sweet if you ask me as you can see they're so charged they will actually glow in the night time you can see them glowing wherever they are and they'll also give off a charged copper dust when they are struck by lightning and as they begin to continue oxidizing however despite oxidizing they will remain charged and as a result of that they will actually use lightning bolts to attack but the moment they do they will lose out on their charged state hello honey get him yeah that's so cool oh my god big fan uh homeboy you are uh on fire that looks rather painful now with charged copper dust though we can make a charged copper ingot and this is quite useful indeed because you can use it to create a charged copper sword fantastic now oh gosh well i didn't uh don't sneak when you're holding it now if you look at my hot bar you'll see that this charged copper dust copper dust is slowly beginning to deplete that's because when we hold our charged copper sword it will use that charged copper dust as a type of fuel if you hold the sword without any of that dust on you you will actually take shock damage as you can see right there which i do not recommend yeah it's kind of bad news i kind of gave it away before but the coolest effect of this sword is that when you are holding it not only do you get an awesome speed and haste boost but on sneaking shockingly enough you will have lightning spot everywhere i'm very curious to see how this guy gets added into the ultimate goal or how the saw blade golem is going to be added to this final golem this one sounds intimidating the villagers are tired of being attacked all the time so they've bolstered their defenses they've created the savage saw blade golems look at homeboy here big ups oh my gosh well i gotta say he's got a point will attack with its large saw blades launched from its chest the blades can cleave right through multiple mobs no problem okay let's see yep that looks about right do you just keep do you get more saw blades for your trouble does it oh it spawned in another one hold on a second want to see this oh my gosh wow okay i want to see him shoot one more let's see the damage huh will it hurt me if i whoa oh it got killed and it it dropped its saw blade hold on a second i gotta take out homeboys first okay so the saw blades serve as an alternate stone cutter recipe interesting so now you can use the saw blade instead of iron alongside your smooth stone slabs to get a stone cutter which is you know kind of whatever but hey i'll take it huh but more importantly though you can now shoot saw blades come again these deal high mob damage and can cut through trees with ease and so we can actually use the saw blade alongside an iron ingot and a block of iron to make a saw blade launcher hold on a second can we just stop in a pre let me just oh okay well it you know hit the block maybe i gotta get a little bit closer why don't we go ahead okay oh money money big money boom hey it just keeps going that's amazing can i can i can i can't kill people with it oh well i mean i missed that time hey buddy what do you trades look like [Music] we're gonna have to say goodbye my friend how strong is it against an actual saw blade golem itself though let's see nope okay immune that makes enough sense maybe i attack this guy oh well that was maybe not a good i okay well works a little bit more nicely against a regular iron oh buddy look at that complexion it's all crackly and frankly hideous thank goodness for today's video sponsor geology all be a part of this ultimate golem at the end of the video so let's see what this one's all about now this iron golem is made by placing a carved pumpkin on top of two iron blocks instead of the typical four it will create iron filings where it moves so this one is a little bit more similar it sounds like it's a snow iron golem oh yeah and apparently it gets struck by lightning casually i wish i'd read the signs these are highly conductive and it uses them to disperse power in a self-protective manner so apparently i can shovel these and get our hands on some iron filings interesting let's try this again though huh maybe if i don't stay anywhere near him ah oh look homeboy okay okay oh baby okay well he just he's just doing his own thing well i'm glad we got some of these iron filings because apparently they're going to be used later on for now we're going to move to the next area so we can learn more about it huh iron filings can be thrown but depending on how far is if they spread out or not they layer out on the ground if you throw them straight down so let's see okay there ah got it okay so your results may vary when it comes to directional behavior there however similar to the golem you can use them to make electrical systems c very clearly an electrical system toss one redstone dust on some and it will give it power interesting let me see indeed i like i like you see start drop one on the start of the s in c to your left yep look at that okay does it do anything if i stand oh yeah it does yes quite conductive indeed now if you drop a gold ingot on it it will make it a super conductor which has greater range apparently interesting ah see it seems to last a little bit longer than before drop gold on this one then power it okay interesting it's a super conductor right maybe so believe it or not we can use this electrical conductive power to actually power redstone as we saw right there lovely so why don't we go ahead and activate homeboy here by throwing in one of these and with any luck let's see okay maybe i don't know what i'm doing but as you can see hey there we go now it's working i know how to do redstone guys seriously just trust me okay you can even make a zapper by dropping diamond on top of iron filings check it out boom as you can see that's one of the blocks we were using just over there they will zap you if you're too close and it'll also zap other mobs so right now not powered okay well you know oh hey why now this next golem actually spawns in a new location under water villages because it is the underwater golem now dwellers they don't do too much however it's the ocean golem you need to worry about do not hit it so we should probably get a little prepared these new villagers known as the dwellers live with these special ocean golems and apparently there's a new type of item that is occasionally found within the houses of these dwellers but meanwhile this guy is uh rather intimidating looking so why don't we go ahead and steal from his friends that's a good idea glow berries tried it eh okay how about we try and attack the boy instead see what happens hey buddy hey i'm gonna attack you now oh boy yeah he's a strong one for sure wow very i don't like not one bit in fact is he is he coming i kind of wanna where is he oh gosh oh wow that didn't even work against him oh no oh i got him oh he dropped something drifter energy i wonder what that one's about well let's go down this pathway first and maybe see if there's more information comment below guys what sort of village you would add to minecraft for these golems to show up in underwater pretty cool one now this is the lab this is where more of these golems are built quite intimidating if you ask me let's see what we have inside huh not all experiments were successful right so let's drink this drifter energy see what happens we got the drift effect interesting oh and it looks like in this lab ooh there's a lot more of this so apparently when you drink it it gives you a special effect when right clicking it has the ability to teleport mobs you shoot somewhere they will never be found again uh huh well what do we have oh ocean golem spawning devices oh you mean spawning okay so let's spawn one of these things right and then we can see what happens if we right click nearby huh right click okay it killed him instantly i believe i think it's only so short-lived because i have a feeling we might need to tackle it when we take on this ultimate golem but the last golem is a different type of remake my england is much better much more realistic version to get started build a golem like normal wow modest much huh okay so we're gonna build them like normal and tada huh is this oh this is the this is actually the golem it will behave mostly like normal but it looks significantly better it can also be killed for a special item okay sure i am happy to put this uh thing out of this misery oh gosh okay uh huh well he's always gonna put up a fight aren't you yikes come on oh got me it's a good thing we spawn right here so you know not a huge problem okay you gotta go home boy okay well if you could just die that would be super great the story already done yeah oh we got an iron golem for a drop interestingly enough if you didn't notice when the iron golem moves around it actually will destroy any grass blocks that it's on top of and believe it or not this is how paths in villages were originally formed isn't that love you can use this iron golem drop in various recipes such as making an iron golem sword yes yes indeed the iron golem sword mimics classic golden behavior you can see mobs get launched straight up into the air good stuff you can also use it to make an iron golem shield believe it or not this is funny-looking shield is made of iron blocks which is why it's so good at blocking mobs foolish enough to attack the shield will find themselves falling from a great height go on give it a shot baby that's good yep yup yup and he's gone very fun to use on slimes by the way oh gosh now we also have the iron golem pickaxe who'd have thought this can mine entire structures simply find a structure to mine and break a block of it okay so i tried it on a regular block didn't do anything how about we try it with the house cool and what i can just hey let me just place it back down oh man that is amazing but now my friends it's time for the most amazing it's time for the ultimate golem we're going to be spawning them in using various different items from all of the other golems throw them all together but be careful the ultimate golem has three very dangerous attacks but it's worth it because we get a special item for our trouble i guess we'll find out what that is in a hot second huh okay something's going on uh oh my gosh the ultimate golem and he is like on fire so what can i like oh he's gross looking is he after me right now okay homeboy's just headed to this ultimate mountain of truth well he's quite intimidating looking i guess we could give him a shot from afar might be a good idea oh you don't like arrows too much good to know okay well arrow's not too helpful okay um oh gosh okay good okay not too bad okay good that's good maybe we just stay back a little bit is he gonna like he's he's hideous i don't like him actually at all ooh stop stop oh gosh he used magic on me and i just lost my items whoa whoa that was insane looking i like how he just keeps catching himself on fire though there you know there's worse things to be honest so i'm gonna eat some bread he's gonna keep catching on fire eat the bread okay good i can eat the bread please please do not strike me with lightning did he just he used to saw against me oh let's try again what the heck is he about to do oh that's the lightning strike huh okay see if you get a good rhythm going he's actually not too bad oh almost almost yes got him hey hey look we got the ultimate totem look at this thing wow i like what's it all about though i want to explore so the ultimate totem is a special drive from the ultimate golem put in your offhand slot to transform into the ultimate golem look at me you'll take off the average ruining the illusion wow oh this is cool this is real cool check me out i'm legit the ultimate golem and i can sneak to use one of three different attacks we got the saw attack we've got the lightning smash and we also have the lightning smash and we also have the drill strike just got in a good drill strike here and there okay yeah look at that oh my gosh this is
