hey guys welcome back to my channel don't judge me i've got one earring in because i've lost the other one so in today's video striker you're right strikers come to say hello if you can hear like heavy breathing in the background it's my dog now with the whole calamity that is the beauty community on youtube right now i feel like there's a lot of attention on the villains of youtube and not enough attention on the good guys so i thought what i could do while i do my makeup because i just felt like sitting down and doing my makeup today chat about some of my favorite creators and draw some attention to them and give them some recognition we are discussing as you guys have already seen in the title i don't know why i'm building up so much we're discussing raw beauty christy i love her i don't really watch like makeup gurus on youtube anymore in all honesty i kind of just watch gardening videos these days because i'm trying to build up my vegetable patch and keep my plants alive but raw beauty christie she's like the exception to the rule i love everything she posts and i've got to be really careful that i don't come across as a syncopant is that it even how you pronounce that word sycophant sycophant i never want to blow smoke up anyone's ass and i'm the furthest thing from a sock up like i kind of just do my own thing but raw beauty christie is one of my favorites i think that the majority of you guys probably already know who she is she's got a huge audience she's got over a million on youtube i think she's got like 480k on instagram which is like i could only dream of such numbers she's extremely beautiful like i honestly think she's got the prettiest eyes i've ever seen like they're those huge like doe eyes like they're absolutely gorgeous she's insanely talented like her makeup looks actually get me excited for makeup she's down to earth she's funny she doesn't take herself too seriously anyway i'll get into it in the video i'm doing this makeup look in the video let me get up close and show you guys this is what we're doing in the video today and we're going to be talking about girl beauty chris day please let me know in the comments who your they are in kind of like the beauty or fashion space please tell me who they are and i'll go check them out so without further ado guys let's get into it i've made a boo boo i bought a new dip brow the other day and i clearly got it in the wrong color ash brown is it just me or do these look kind of like blue i love doing my makeup and just chatting to you guys even though i'm absolutely no good at it because i can't do two things at once i cannot do my makeup and talk at the same time and yet here i am attempting it once again so i'm putting on my foundation i'm using the urban decay all nighter foundation for my foundation i'm going to use this brush here this is from my sigma face brush set there are a few sets left of that you can buy them from cloud 10 i'll link them in the she definitely doesn't need me shouting her out to get attention but here we are anyway okay so my foundation's on my lips are gone that's okay didn't want them anyway so for my lips i'm just gonna do like a nudey kind of lip this whole industry the whole like beauty industry on youtube and on social media is so bloody saturated like there's so many of us christy just totally stands out because she's 100 herself she's not putting on an act she's not trying to like copy any of the big youtubers she's just her and people absolutely love her for it i would go so far as to say that christy is one of if not the most loved human in the beauty community oh by the way guys i'm using the makeup geek eyeshadows i'm gonna go in with this blue fellow now and hope for the best what drew me to christy i found one of her really old videos that kept popping up in my recommended this was like two or three years ago now i think but i think she was talking about like beauty gurus actually i don't know i'll pop it up on the screen here the video that it was still a really good video if you haven't watched it watch it and i was like wow i totally relate to this girl so then i started watching her other videos and i just love the way she's just so unapologetically herself she's got like a real dry kind of humor and i just love it you know when you're watching someone on youtube and you're like yes i could totally see myself being friends with you in real life and i'm clearly not the only person that feels that way that's why she has such a huge following like yes she's amazing at makeup yes she's extremely talented yes she's beautiful but i think it's her personality that really draws people to her i don't know where i'm going with this look guys i don't think this is working but now i've already started so i'm gonna i've committed so i subscribed it to christy and i will subscribe to her for a good while but i didn't follow her on instagram yet no real reason i think i'm just lazy and then she popped up in my explore page and so i went through stalk as you do watched her stories that she had up and in the stories she was rescuing kittens she was um catching these kittens to go and get them neutered and they weren't her kittens she's just like a bloody good human and she was trying so hard her and her like lovely husband making such an effort catching these kittens which really didn't look like an easy thing to do so she could take them to the vet and get them muted obviously so there wasn't more like stray kittens running around starving like who does that it takes a really good person to go to that amount of effort to do that and pay for the vet bills for cats that aren't even yours like it takes a good person in general in life to do that let alone like a beauty guru i feel like sometimes beauty gurus can be a little bit what's the word self-absorbed not really go to that much effort to do a good deed that sounds so bad i'm sure there's lots of amazing beauty gurus that do good deeds i can't resist an animal lover like as an animal lover myself if i see another fellow animal lover i'm like please can we be best friends also how did i not mention this at the start christy is cruelty free so she is a cruelty free channel um i'm a cruelty free channel myself and i know that in this industry to become cruelty free you have to turn down so much work you lose so much money because the big brands you know like the l'oreals the maybelline's all those kind of brands they have huge budgets so if you work with them you make bank if you're cruelty free you can't work with brands like that so you take a huge hit financially and christy she's like absolutely massive so i estimate that she would get a lot of job offers like if i had a brand i know that i would want christy promoting my brand because she's just genuine and epic so she i'm estimating would have taken a huge hit financially to be cruelty free and she's doing that from the goodness of her heart because she's an animal lover and puts her money where her mouth is wait put her mouth where her money is what the hell is that saying right i'm gonna finish this eyeshadow because this is taking me for bloody ever one second okay so i just had to have a break and go make a smoothie i'm gonna go in with this like shimmery shade up here on my finger put that on my eyeball oh another thing i should have mentioned at the start not that it really makes a difference now but chrissy recently released a collab with per cosmetics and it's sold out i'm so upset i wanted to go on there's this like orangey colored palette which i really wanted to get because like that's right up my alley and it's sold out and she even managed to crash the per cosmetics site like there was a whole ordeal and drama over it because over 20 000 people were trying to buy her collab the site crashed and she was so upset about it and she was so apologetic to all her fans because obviously they were all kind of waiting in line so i mean it wasn't the most ideal launch like it could have gone smoother but at the same time girl you managed to crash at the website that's next level i would honestly be feeling like the queen of england if i managed to crash a website i'm gonna put on some eyeliner also can't talk while i do this definitely not that talented okay guys
