FIRST TUTORIAL USING RAWBEAUTYKRISTI x COLOURPOP COLLECTION!

[Music] hey guys i can not believe i'm sitting here on camera doing this today this might be one of the most surreal things i've ever done i am just i can't even believe this is real today i am filming my first ever tutorial with my collection with colourpop i have a collection with colourpop i cannot even believe this it doesn't feel real to me at all i cannot believe it i hope that you guys are so excited about this collection i know i am over the moon about it i cannot even describe it has been just one of the most surreal coolest things creating this collection if you guys have not seen the video that i posted announcing the collection i'm gonna put it up here and it is me going over everything showing you guys the collection swatches talking about how i named everything talking about how the collection came to be so if you guys are interested in checking that out i'm gonna have it linked up here today's video is going to be a tutorial on one of the looks that i did for my shoot that i did so i did all the makeup for the photo shoot that we did and we actually did it here in washington state on the property that we just purchased and it could not have gone any better it was just a magical day and i did all of my own makeup for the shoot i just wanted it to be very simple looks things that are really striking and beautiful but things that aren't like some crazy that's not what this collection is to me it's about soft ethereal very beautiful sunshiny gorgeous fall looks and that's what i'm going to show you guys today is one of them which was this look here which is this like very goldy green stunning stunning stunning it's one of my favorites and i'm going to show you guys how i created it was the look i was also wearing in that video where i uh talk to you guys about the collection so all right let's just get into it i have my base already done and i'm just it's like my foundation concealer everything else is on brows done so this is going to be fast i feel like i'm going to start off by putting lip gloss on because i just need a little bit of shimmer my lips are looking a little bizarre to me so for the gloss i'm going to be using one of the glosses i came out with with color i can't believe i cannot believe this you guys and this is the packaging here if you guys have not seen it yet and this is the lux gloss in the shade glacier and i love this gloss so much it is so so stunning if you haven't seen it yet i just watched it in that video but basically it is just the most beautiful clear sparkly super super super glossy gloss i like to focus it on the outer portion of my lips because i don't like the feeling of gloss getting in the center so i kind of just focus on the outer portion but i love it so this is the eyeshadow palette right here and this is the unit carton and oh my god i just you guys i can't even handle it i love it so much look it oh my god it's just so surreal to be holding something that i created with a brand i've been using for years and years and years i just i know i've already said this and i know that i really really went over it a lot in my last video and i know it can be kind of irritating to have somebody be just like constantly in disbelief about this kind of thing but like you don't understand how surreal this is to me when you get into this industry and you do this the last thing you expect like you hope for it the last thing you actually expect is that you'll have a product with your name on it that actually is real and tangible and you can hold it and it's just i can't okay so i'm gonna be just starting the look and this was a very very simple look all the looks that i did for the campaign shoe very very simple but they are really really beautiful i wanted to showcase all the different colors and my two favorite looks i did were the green and the yellow one if you guys are looking to see the yellow look that i did for the campaign images i actually did that look on colourpop's channel so if you guys want to check that out i will have the link up here as well you guys can go check out colourpop's channel and i did like a little q a video and um showed you guys how i did that look so all right let's zoom you in let's start we are up close and personal my skin's looking very nice today i'm very happy with it to start off the look i started off with the color chanterelle up here i i just love this shade i can't get enough of it i dip into there with a fluffy brush and then ran that throughout the crease not super heavy because this look isn't a yellow look this one's green but i wanted the transition shade to have this really beautiful like mustard yellow and i just sort of fluff it right throughout not too high up but a little bit higher [Music] just like that and then with another fluffier brush i'm gonna dip that into this shade here which is fiddlehead aren't fiddleheads the cutest thing in the entire world i literally can't handle them i think that they are so precious i've never eaten one have you guys ever eaten one before i want to try them so i'm taking this and i'm just putting it in the crease exactly below that shade i'm actually going to switch to a bit of a smaller brush for that because i feel like that's a little large and in charge this is like this stunning olive shade i freaking love a good olive green [Music] i just sort of take that right in these two front areas mostly because i love the whole halo eye vibe i kind of really like like leaned into the halo eye on this photo shoot [Music] you don't need a ton of i hate to say you don't need skill that's not what i mean but you don't you don't need to be an expert at eye shadow to do something like this because all you really need to know is placement so all you do is put it on right here outer and inner just sort of buff it into that previous color and then you're gonna just swipe the center with you know some shades it's just really simple all right and then i'm gonna dip into a little bit of emerald city just to make this a little less olive i love the oliveness of it but i just wanted it to be a little more depth and i did kind of drag this one out a little bit sort of pat it on the inner and outer i love these colors i'm going to take that same brush a different one but it's the same style of brush and i'm gonna go with a little bit of puff ball and just a little bit just i feel like it just adds a little bit of i don't know i hate to say wearability because that doesn't mean anything but just buffs out the edges nicely and if you start to lose chanterelle a little bit you can just dip a little bit back into that and like blend it out and i kind of like to dip into puffball and central and just sort of take them right along the edges here just feel like it adds such a pretty tawny yellowish vibe oh it's just so pretty i love it all right and then the bottom we're gonna get to in a minute but i'm gonna work on the shimmer right now because it's so simple so for this look i used a few shimmers there are a couple of shimmers in the palette so you've got this one here which is amazing this shade is so cool it's like a duochrome brownish to green so beautiful i don't know if you can tell yeah you definitely can it's so pretty and this one i did tap a little bit on it fits it just works so well with the colors but then i'm also gonna take my super shock in the shade like a moss this is my favorite super shock like hands down i can't even describe and i just took a little bit of this in the center you can just do this if you don't want the super shock or if you didn't get the super shocks you can just do this step you can even pat a little bit of west coast over the top and i did take mine up a little bit higher because i like it when the shimmer extends higher it just makes your eye look a little bit bigger [Music] so i take that right in the center and then i'm going to go in with the shade like a moss that name cute and this is like a similar to that shade just different i can't explain it i wish that you could see it in person it's just stunning it's more of like a top or two it's not super highly highly pigmented if you can see it swatched it has like this gold green shift to it it's so beautiful and it's so sparkly especially in the sunshine see what i'm saying oh my god it's so stunning and then to finish off the lower lash line because this part i really like dragged it down quite far i take the same brush we started off with sort of just go through and do those steps over again but really bring it down like i bring the chanterelle shade the yellowy shade really low into my eye bag area god these shades are so beautiful i can't i'm so happy with the way this turned out i could sob right here right now you know i'm gonna take a bit of puff ball run that down [Music] and then we're gonna do fiddlehead and evergreen again gotta get a mirror for this part and i like to run that in with the color that we had on the top so that it like seamlessly blends in [Music] i'm gonna take that shade chanterelle again really buff it down and kind of pat it too just to get that color on more intense like look at that oh and now i'm gonna take the cream gel liner that we came out with in the color spare time can you even handle how cute this packaging is i can't handle it this is what i did for the shoot and it turned out so beautifully i love the green on the waterline it just looks so pretty and it's really deep oh isn't that so pretty you could even use the color marigold which is the yellow shade and then it would be like the yellow on the lower lash line and it would look so pretty and vibrant right there you could use the brown honestly they all go that's the nice thing i wanted everything to be kind of interchangeable and you can do lots of different looks with it this is not the last step the final step to this look i actually tapped a little bit into the shade west coast which is this extremely vibrant bright gold like i tapped that much into i just wanted a teeny little bit on my finger just to tap over the center because i feel like this look could really benefit from just like that see just like livens it up but then i also took some of the super shock shade and that was in the one like a moss and i take a little bit of that on my finger and tap that on the bottom lash line in the center for most of these looks that i did no for all of the looks that i did for the shoot i tapped shimmer on the lower lash line just because i feel like sometimes it can really kick and look up a notch and i feel like these ones look so beautiful with the shimmer on the lash line and that is the eye look simple simple simple all right i just tossed some lashes on and my mascara and this is the finished look [Music] all right you guys this is the finished look i love it so much this is probably okay i have two favorite looks from the shoot and it's the yellow one that i did on colourpop's channel in this one and these are just everything i love in shadows i love this collection so much i hope you guys love it too i hope you guys are really excited for it i mean i really put my heart and soul into this i just love it so much it is the collection that like exemplifies who i am as a person i just must say like to have two collabs in one year first of all to have any ever uh is unbelievable and surreal and just it it just doesn't feel i don't know i just i can't really describe it to have this collab with colourpop who you guys to have it not only be with them but to have it be such a me collection and to have them crush it they could not have done a better job i am so unbelievably grateful and i know i've already said this in the other video so i'm just not i'm not going to go on too long about it but thank you guys so much for watching i hope you guys like this video i hope you like this makeup look i hope you like the collection and i will definitely be doing more tutorials and showing you guys how to use the palette and collection everything like that and this baby is coming anytime now so a lot is happening um this has been the craziest year of my entire life and i think that all of you can see that it is truly like everything everybody keeps saying that to me like chrissy what a crazy year i'm like i wish you even knew because i've known about this for so long you know i mean and having to keep quiet about it and know that this is coming when it's been something so highly requested from so many people is as i can't I really do feel kind of duped with this. I got the RBK x Pur palette and while I do really like it, I was looking forward to some tutorial looks on it from her (or at least more than just two) now that she has the Colour Pop collab I have a feeling that it’s going to be as if the Pur one never existed

Like, I'm happy for her and I'm sure this is all very cool, but the bitchy and easily amused part of me was like, "Girl, everyone has had a collab with Colourpop" when she was raving about how amazing it was in the beginning. Sometimes it feels like CP is working their way down a list of beautubers. You get a collab, and you get a collab!

I am absolutely gonna recreate this tutorial, though.

I would love to see her do a side by side tutorial of the Colourpop and Pur palettes at some point, making a similar look on each eye, the tones would be different but it would really highlight the similarities and differences between the palettes and give them both some love

Okay, I didn’t buy the pur pallet nor the CP one, but I share your feelings about that her attitude of “everything coming before my cp collab is forgotten” is annoying af.

But listen, I think the lesson to learn from it that buying pallets to support beauty gurus is a tendency that need to disappear. I’m not saying all of them doesn’t care, but brands just wanna sell, and create new stuff and then hype them because they want to sell more. It’s all part of consumerism culture. PUR got their money, and so does Kristi. If you do have the pallet find a reason to love it for just being a good pallet, and if you don’t - then take it as a lesson and don’t buy stuff you don’t like.
