We Made Progress on 4x4 Off-Road Hellcat

great don't look over there we haven't mode yet so it doesn't look good as you know we have the epic ambition turn our 2016 dodge hellcat into a one-of-a-kind 4x4 off-road monster of a hellcat now guys today we are going to make our hellcat actually move underneath its own power now let me say every transmission place i called said it would be upwards of three months before they could get the parts and get the transmission in to rebuild it and you know what that's gonna be too long i cannot wait that long so we are gonna try to do it ourselves i'll be honest i've never had good luck with transmissions it's one of the things in this world that i hate working on but we must do it so let's try to see what happens oh that's empty but it is rumored that for every person that subscribes to the channel one cheeseburger will appear in this bag what are you waiting for i got a napkin i'll get back with you on how this bag's doing uh next video is this thing ever going back together yeah does anyone have a diagram google what did i do wrong i actually texted the guy from rpm transmissions and i'm like damn these things are complicated you know what he did he just hearted the message he's like you should have sent it to me to work on it you said he was gonna be four months we're figuring out how it goes back together because we took it all apart it's been like three weeks waiting on parts and now we don't remember it's fine we'll figure it out we got a half of a transmission doesn't this go in here where does this go that goes in the middle yeah yeah we'll be back when it's finished if it fits and you got damn this is a twin disc look at that i know but i forgot it's stuck in the box god damn that one right there is not gonna be a that's a that's a screw around to dump the clutch and find out kind of clutch that's what that is all right so yeah this could be good this could be awesome i'm so excited to drive this car because i'm really excited for what we're gonna do to it but i'm just really excited to see how it runs now like when we got first second third fourth yeah you desert storm tires you my friends you're in danger burnout yes all right guys it is the final moment the final countdown is that how it goes something like that yeah something like that so look look how pretty that clutch is the camera is like flickering because the light but yeah it's great it's all right it's supposed to do you have to have a light so i can watch yeah clutch is in there nice and pretty transmissions ready i don't know it's all right we gotta have white so we can see anyway so yeah got the clutch in there all we've got to do now is put the bell housing on the trans and throw out bearing and everything's on there all branding oh feel that that's that rubber booth champion that is straight from trojan that's great they still make those yeah exactly they do of course they do so oh i remember what i forgot exhaust studs [Music] bam we've parked the toolbox out of the way the hellcat is ready to roll actually we need to put it down we need to hook up the battery right the transmission is now all the way in the exhaust is hooked up and uh guys don't don't pay attention to that we are american professionals that that's just yeah what do we call that uh this right here what do you call that i'll tell you what that is that right there is american professionality professionals that's why we have c-clamps on our exhaust where the exhaust bolt broke it's fine i bet you won't even leak it'll be great let's go down is it going down are we hitting anything i'm so excited to hear this car run again it's been so long but the thing is is this car could have actually been out of commission for two months longer than the time that we had it because well every place else is gonna be like three months until they got the transmission for working and rebuilt so you know what it might have taken us a month but we're still ahead of schedule i'm so confident i'm just going to sit all the way down on the ground and boom there it is look this is going to be the most awesome off-road machine ever we've got the good tunes we've got the gear shift in the middle and we've got the srt button it's kind of unattached at the moment but you don't need stuff attached like look it's a little unattached it's fine that means it's adjustable this how high we're gonna be sitting once we get it lifted yeah i can see it now i'll be driving down the road this is all together so i can go and snap this back in boom boom okay all this gets shoved down and boom the transmission is officially fixed we're going out [Music] oh my god that's the lamest horn i've ever heard [Applause] oh this sounds so good i just grinded the gear but don't worry about that there's a little bit of air left in the clutch all right first second third fourth hold on get all the gears i think so fifth and [Music] sixth i won't say it works like i forgot to turn this traction control off hey guys i don't know if you meant for that clutch 800 horsepower just right from the beginning because this is within the first mile but don't worry the warranty's still applied and we got the oh and we got the red key we're gonna go somewhere oh you're oh my god this was worth fixing it this was worth oh my this thing is dangerous dude it's just like this it has no grip to it it's just oh that's freaking sweet round bolts and uh two top drive shaft folks it's missing them no they're not tight by the way oh so we should probably not give it too much i mean if it's gonna break it's gonna break [Music] sir did you order a dust storm oh i've i've made a dust machine this is great i love this car oh my god the transmission goes really good though we can put the windows up now but the transmission actually works really well i didn't hear no i didn't hear no grinds nothing where's six oh that's fifth where's six dude we did a good job we put it together and it still works i am happy with this oh yeah we did do burnouts right as soon as we got that way i do it it's gonna break i want to break right in that way we don't have to worry about it later it's cheaper to build the smoke sting has power but it's in a different way because like smokestay comes on when boost does the supercharger like this thing just comes on instantly i see why everybody wants a hellcat these cars are awesome they're like boats though it's like it feels like you're driving a boat when you go around the corner and the ass and kicks out it's like yes i'm the captain of the titanic today very seasonal yes very we're getting into touch with its inner outdoorsman no it's off-roading this man i don't know we're getting in touch with the off-road capability oh it was on three wheels did you feel that how would i feel i'm on the ground look which one's off the ground hello writer [Music] can you see it now do you see this look the vents on the front of this car there's a vent there there's a vent there there's a vent there that's three vents and there's a vent right down here that's four vents one more vent and we could run this thing in the baja 500. with four-wheel drive 37-inch tires through the air over mounds through moab utah through their off-road park out there that would be so cool guys i've got really big plans for this car i've got really awesome things i want to do with this car now it works really cool and hellcats are really awesome at what they do when they look like this but ours is going to be sitting on some big old all-terrain tires some four-wheel drive and it's gonna work really well hopefully but the problem is parts are hard to come by right now everything is back ordered by three and a half years at the moment i couldn't even get a pair of pliers tomorrow if i really wanted to we're waiting on parts for the smoke staying the space shuttle the cop car the raptor school bus my lawn mower we're waiting on parts for everything right now i will tell you we are starting work on this car right away but if you don't see anything on it right away it's just because we're waiting on parts and we're trying to figure out exactly how everything goes together because when you're building something like this you don't know every single long story short it's gonna take a while but we'll see you guys next time
