WE GET PLASTIC SURGERY!

here we are in sunny Southern California it is really sunny Newport Beach an area known for its surfing fish tacos and it's good-looking people but it ain't the water that's making these people good-looking it's manufactured and there's one brave soul that's making that a reality for many one dr. Timothy Kelly and two brave souls are making him a local commercial us [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay here we go action hi I'm dr. Timothy Kelly a facial plastic surgeon now we know nothing about plastic surgery we are pleasure surgery virgins and that might change after a little bit of time with you if isn't how persuasive you are and what kind of deals you're willing to cut what's really happening here well with plastic surgery again you're making something that's either broken or not quite the way the person likes it better cosmetic you're just making it superficially look better not necessarily making it work better I haven't had any work done but that's gonna change today we hadn't had any work done but we were here to do some work we had to learn everything we needed to know about dr. Kelly's profession in practice then turn around and script and shoot our next local commercial all within the next 36 hours I have to exam rooms here okay this is sort of my scope room this goes into somebody's nose where huh oh really what are you looking for Bullers tumors deviated septum my diagnosis is you have boogers that I don't I don't see him saying that very wrong would you like me to demonstrate yeah yeah my nose seriously sure now I just thought it would be like a doctor you just kind of look in their ear but look how long it is looking this thing is that's just that you can stand all the way right on oh my gracious ah what have you done to the inside of my nose like I'm a shell of a man go to the inside of links note I can go all the way down and take a look at the voice box oh yeah I want you yeah do that oh my goodness because these were in your throat Oh what is that that is the famous voice buddy link can I think it looks like Jabba the Hutt got stuck down in like a flesh crevasse know what that looks like I'm in a plastic surgeon shop I got a tube down my nose there's a light coming out of my mouth wow you're like a new man this plastic surgery is a lot easier than I thought it was Rhett this means you have to get like the nose job can you could cause my eyebrow to be permanently stuck like this it's kind of my trademark sure I can do that okay how would you call me what would you superglue I would put some Botox right here to allow this part to drop down I don't want to do this okay have you done any work on yourself zero say isn't that kind of hypocritical oh really has anyone else done work on you mhm you've had no work done that's correct are you against it do I need to introduce myself at the woman's room I'm the accountant I'm the cleaner I'm dr. Kelly's wife we also get plastic surgery myself Natalie the accountant slash cleaning lady slash wife was also the one who nominated dr. Kelly for a free local commercial and she sweetened the deal by promising to undergo some procedures on camera you do half of her face and then I'll kind of pay attention follow along and then okay problem with that is that you'll end up getting put in jail for practicing medicine without license but if you're willing to take that risk what if I'm not an American citizen what do you want to have done I don't like to have what they call the 11 the brown marks and my lips are getting thinner than they used to be so I like to have a little Botox application and lip lumpification when we make a commercial we never know exactly what it's gonna be until we arrive on location and sometimes some of the most memorable parts of the final commercial emerge in unlikely moments like when a plastic surgeon is explaining his seemingly boring technique for injectables within injectable my philosophy is that I like to place the needle throughout the entire muscle and then inject as I'm coming out so that there's only one stick using a small needle and it significantly reduces bruising I mean that in my opinion it's much more effective so I'll demonstrate that on her this is a technique that this is not common yesterday this is the Kelly technique this is a technique that I've developed after doing this for 15 years and what do you call it the retinas called it the Kelly tape we need to name it I don't what about the figure-four leglock what about just the Kelly well method that's a good idea with one prick of the needle I distribute the material as I slowly withdraw minimizing pain and bruising I call it the pullout method perfect this is only thanks to me a plastic surgeon a top and a bottom I am about to oversee a lip puff of plump application you want to lie down my finger while you're doing it and we're gonna do the pullout method cane you're ready as we film a close-up of the procedure we realized this isn't pleasant this is not the kind of thing that would be included in a good plastic surgeon commercial which is exactly why we decided to include it in ours now I usually use a glove but since there's my wife I like a doctor to work barehanded on me it makes me feel like you're here no cares more that's payment right there huh some people have naturally like like I did that's correct that's what I want to look like dude your surf I do circle from my office I can open up my shades get out my binoculars and see what the surf looks like and if it's good I'll go out for a little hour-long session and you'll do like Botox while on the surfboard you take a patient with you know it's not where you're at and just kind of like your survey in the whole horizon [Music] now slowly turn your head that way don't fall off your boat but if you do we will be filming it dr. Kelly gives me the confidence to the light that's a good-looking woman however you feel it okay sorry dr. Kelly gives me the confidence to live life as a good-looking woman I can feel men's eyes on me in public I can feel man's eyes on me in public and that makes me feel good thanks dr.
