We FULLY BUILT an Integra in ONE DAY!

rental car for the day ding sweet though you build this thing in one day one day full build things sweet dude I was like a dream racing seats are pretty comfortable to the harness and they welded this bar - yeah see badass project neighbor alright guys so it is the next day in Florida we're at cletus's shop once again and guess I'll show you guys the car we got for this right here 499 honda integra Acura Integra actually and we picked it up for really cheap she's a little beat up but it's actually kind of clean then it's a shame because we're gonna demo this car but has the b-series that we wanted in it so this is the only one we could find you would have found like one in worse condition if we could've but there's what we have to work with and yeah so this thing is completely stocked right now we're going to completely rebuilding the motor with all the stuff we brought on the plane and we're gonna see if we can make like four or five hundred horsepower in a day let's see if we can do it I've got that non-vtec LS you hear the intake Gers look you got the performance mod right there we were gonna do like a baseline dyno test just to see how much it made factory but I don't think we're gonna mess with it you want to make sure we have as much time as we can to get this thing done so yeah we're just waiting on Cooper and Cletus to get here so Cooper can pull the CTSV out of the way please letting us use a lift and work venture over there to work on it so it should be a fun day for sure once they get here we're gonna get started on it well since Cletus isn't here yet inside a hour hour and a half in I got the motor almost all the way tore down just got to pull the rods and pistons out and get the old clutch off let the trainee is out the head is off and once we get the internals out of this block we can start the rebuild process I can get her put all back together we're knocking out pretty fast it's not even 11:00 o'clock yet yeah we're gonna shim this oil pump for more oil pressure since we're taxing the old pump and put a bunch of GSR goodies in it too so it's gonna be sweet all right so you got the clutch here holding this old twin disc actions you guys that they literally tore the thing out in two hours to a bare block they're just starting to rebuild now so clutch goes on you know bran just washed his hands he's actually gonna build the engine right now put the new rods and pistons in should be good to go in a little bit place so this will shim the oil pump so we get more oil pressure the little Honda hack little Honda hat sorry right Honda hacks and print what you guys are just gonna pull the engine now we got the engine stand right here yeah so we have tighten the sandwich plate well it's already on it before we do anything with the fall home we need to get some paper towels for each rod journal so you don't get any stuff on the crank yes we just got a three inch ball home Cooper picked it up for us we're gonna hone out the cylinders real quick so so we can drop the Pistons in yep please never owned anything so we're gonna let him do it yeah we're gonna let it's all you can't find this anymore it's it's gotta be boosted boys mah boi is a different timing belt so that is the GSR water kind of tiny belt just to be clear it all matches that's right so far though oh dang that looks good I feels really good three crab around here like it how far down you have to push it just work yep under the level of the block there we go how much you trust that to you now that we got a blog art it's better than nothing we're gonna take it to where because we thought the blog guard iffy about going even like 400 yeah would be that you know we stop yeah I just wanted an added safety and it's the same kind of material so it will expand at the same rate and and it's what we had laying around so it is what it is alright so me and Millie are gonna run over to this local shop real quick to find a - ten weld on bunk for the oil return because the oil pen that we brought they'll be already welded the bump on to is a different size than the motor that was in the car we thought it would work but to pick up on that LS hangs a lot lower than and we got I think it's like a GSR pan so when we tried to put the pan on to pick up wouldn't let it see it up so we're just gonna have to use the pan that came with the car we just got to go get a bidding drill a hole and reweld a bung on should be ready to be elsewhere right now take the Vig the wrench will I can't believe you just let us use this for the weekend I know right this thing's sick did I yeah we have everything though this car did need a new CV axle so that's why we got two new axles for it dary get some on that mountain dude cover no no me I was pretty good at it - you gotta be the best soften me laughs we almost ready to start this thing or what [Music] hi guys so we're about eight hours into the build we had a little issue with the fuel pump just now but we got it figured out so we got the Integra pretty much ready to go we are going to take it on its maiden voyage and just look at this thing guys it's amazing I am so proud of all of us right now but it's gonna sit passenger and turn it on the fly even though we took the seat out what color should have waited on that but and saw whatever play that we're about to go take her for a first lap break her in a little bit and then she'll be ready for the dyno damn shift of the bald eagle shift knob dude just because we're an Integra doesn't mean we can't have some freedom and more Honda's are made in America than any other car do we're ready oh I love the bald eagle ship now barely it's amazing that's a lot of horsepower that's a little signature from us here beast a little sharp yeah that's cuz you got to hold it like this see let the only grip it like this the only shifter I've ever seen at all I'm sorry I don't know how to grip a bald [Laughter] [Music] now look at that thing is back on the road change out the gas when you put on e90 because that's what Cletus has over here at the shop instead of 85 so there's no point to try to mess with the tune if we're just gonna switch it up so we're going to get the gas that's in it drained out and put it on some E and then we'll go from there I'm changing my name from booster boys my boys the booster boys gasps boy put something 9090 same stuff Leroy runs on this thing so we can really let it turning I'm gonna give it a good whack [Music] predictions on power 450 to 500 450 to 500 I think that's where we'll end up [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] 326 326 first pool dude you didn't have to do nothing how so just did 326 I think nice like that would have been well for 51 years on how many pounds nine just getting started it was really really really it's you shot it good [Music] 4:29 [Music] [Music] [Applause] 395 alright guys so that last pool I made 395 and we were sinking the timing so I loosened the top distributor bolt and the way this head is we had to cut off one of the years on this distributor right here and we can only run one bolt on it to make this distributor work with this head because this is the stock distributor if we wanted to do it the correct way we would need to get a distributor that matches the head but we cut the ear off we have one bolt holding on and I loosened it up to sync the timing and forgot to retighten it so that last pool the distributor kind of popped off and that's why the car shut off but the ears on the inside didn't get broken we got it back on so she's good to go we're gonna make some more pools [Music] [Laughter] 4:08 hey we got 480 horsepower hell yeah dude it's so pretty is it doing what you wanted to yeah I'm sorry okay taking baby steps yes how the intake temps with that uh intercooler on the valve cover well I think it's in a little hot I felt it talk about intake temperature that the sensor self hanging [Music] [Applause] 4:13 yeah 4:13 right baby 413 horsepower
