We Built $100 vs $1000 Boat! *FLOAT OR SINK*

so we're not really sure if we're going to be allowed to take our boat into the lake yet he's making a phone call in this booth we have these nubs here they got this weird boat that they made what's up guys today we're going to be building a 100 boat and a 1 000 boat and testing them to see which one's better first we're going to build them and then we're going to go to a lake if we can and test them out see if they float or if we sink there are four possible points each boat can get whichever boat has the most points in this video is the winner there's the float test you have the speed test you get the comfortability test and you got the aesthetic test which one is the coolest so we're gonna get building and get it floating we have all the materials we need for the hundred dollar boat right here look it the car has to go over the boxes the box is going to get wet and then it's going to sink only one boat will flow wait so you don't want to use this box no this is a one-person boat so we just have to figure out how to tape up this tarp and then you got yourself a boat that will float on the mower jeff that's the worst idea my boat works i'm gonna gloat since we're not using this carbo box we could use it as a trash can good idea hey jeff hop in there five minutes later well we made no progress we've got gorilla duct tape which is the strongest duct tape hopefully it's gonna be good enough i guess we could use flex tape but that would have been more expensive that's a lot of money one of my main concerns is the balance of this boat these are gonna be the stabilizers so we'll maybe duct tape them like to the sides like this hopefully they'll stabilize the boat start taping bro yeah it's very difficult to make a hundred dollar boat but we're gonna give it our best shot tapey tapey um there's an issue here this only goes up to here we'll fix it with duct tape don't you worry if we just wrap this thing like crazy and duct tape it'll be fine that's my opinion well let's do it then now that the tarp is kind of taped on we're going to take this tape and just go around it a ton of time is this a 100 layer duct tape boat i hope not why not i hate duct tape rob duct tape can fix a lot of things can it fix jeffrey no actually it can't jeff you're almost there just keep going i'm getting tired you have about a thousand more rotations to go yeah i'm getting dizzy keep going keep going good bro getting dizzy i'll take over okay you take a look i'm holding the box i'm gonna do this in shifts we'll take different ships so now that there's a lot of tape on this thing we're running out and uh we need to put our flotation devices on how high should we put these well you don't want to sink too far down so yeah like right there he's gotta be even we're running out of duct tape this is bad good thing is that we got our flotation devices on okay now we just need as much duct tape as possible to hold these suckers on right where we're running out oh shoot guys we reached the end no more tape that's not a lot of tape dude this is this bottle's gonna fall off when we get in well the boat's complete guys this is not hundred dollars these are wardrobe boxes and these came with the boxes okay so this will hold the box stable it's actually pretty sturdy just let's take a vote whose boat is it i'm not going to ever see this there's no no no no no this is flashback it's pointing to you flash back to the beginning guys this is how i think we should do it chris bought the material okay so jeffrey is going to be the captain of this boat what do you name it jeff all right i name it the ss fartbox because i probably will have gas what the heck the name is there and it's more like the ss sync box because that's what you're going to do you're going to spark box well let's uh move on to the 1 000 boat i hope i don't get wet today wish me luck okay moving on to the one thousand dollar boat we got this uh actual boat motor right here so it's gonna be pretty legit so this is gonna be a pontoon boat so we got these blue barrels here so it's basically gonna look like this we've got this nice piece of plywood right here boom conveniently blue so we got to build a frame real quick we've got these two by fours we got these chairs we got this umbrella and we have this cooler we're gonna put snacks in it some drinks we're gonna have a nice floaty day on the lake yeah we got some screws got this drill here i drill because i want to sounds fun and then we're gonna drill this frame into the board here nice great craftsmanship jeff thank you jeff is getting crappy dude i actually can't wait till this is finished we got some boat seats we got a nice cooler and we got an umbrella i'm actually really excited for this boat oh my gosh dude dude now that the dundee boat's done we can ratchet strap the frame to the barrels all right let's flip it over if we cut slits and the strap goes through we just put one strap on each barrel they'll stay exactly where we put them ryan's out of a fantastic idea without having to saw through instead of putting slits in here we just take the straps we put them in through here and then we don't need to do any uh guess what you're promoted no no no no i don't want promotion too much responsibility more money more problems i wouldn't mind taking the promotion to captain you want to be the captain of this boat right captain of the vessel dang that's good ryan you're a genius ryan you are now promoted to boat captain aye aye captain wait what do i do next captain all right we have to condition you for the sea jump in the water aye captain please blur this i don't want my shorts to get wet whoa all right come to what's next oh my gosh all right boy come on up here please wear this again don't look at me what do i do next make yourself useful all right i come up with my pants can i put my pants back on captain no okay captain we don't have a whole lot of time our captain can you give me my official parrot's name sailor georgia free sailor jar free at your command just need one more ratchet strap okay so we're gonna attach this motor first so we know where to put the chairs um but we have to put on this two by four here so the motor can clump onto it this is what this is cool dude nice and tight gonna attach the handle for this bad boy and then you just rotate it supposed to be like this going like dude this is sick we got a cooler here not just any cooler it's the coolest of coolers it's super handy okay so we gotta figure out how to attach this cooler and the seats okay in order to attach these seats we're gonna be drilling these hinges right into this plastic here yeah it's good enough yeah if we lose someone in the water it doesn't matter you know okay put the seat here we kind of want to make sure the balance is even all right this seat is not going to go anywhere ryan thought of another genius idea we're going to attach this cooler and screwing through screws to the straps to keep it on sweet that's good that'll that'll stay on good thinking captain what's happening you're the best captain i've ever met captain what should private jeffrey do now attach that umbrella there hi captain we need shade when we're going to be sailing the seven seas the kraken is gonna feed us and we don't have it my um suggestion here captain is we drill a hole through the wood stick this through the hole and then it should be okay all right where are we putting this thing i just say right in the middle jam it in there oh wow here's the thing we need something preventing it from going down too far with a screw in the side oh like a screw like this ryan you genius i did it again you made a mess of the poop deck boy sweep her up all right captain he's a poop deck god a boy get all the nukes and cronies thank you oh i think thank you let me inspect that will do we're gonna be drilling a pilot hole so then we can uh screw it in so it doesn't keep going down it'll prevent it from this thing from sinking all the way boom dude and it stays so the only thing is it's kind of wobbly like this after many trial and errors we finally came up with this one block piece boom bada bang gonna keep this umbrella in a lot sturdier so yeah it's not shaking back and forth as much the last thing on the list is um chris what when you ordered it you failed to order a battery um you're taking the battery out of your truck yeah what yeah my truck i thought it was supposed to be gasoline the description of the things you buy dude this is chris okay that looks pretty cool click buy okay that'll work all right chris pop the trunk dang shoot look at this oh you got a battery blanket oh so it's nice and warm i think they are right you know i should pay more attention when i buy stuff well now we gotta use my battery let's pull this sucker out stupidity okay we have to figure out how to secure this puppy on here we're putting some wood here so the battery stays in place [Music] we try to put the battery as far away as from the water sides as possible we got the battery connected are you guys ready we're gonna see if it works clear the prop don't wanna get near the prop three two one whoa it's so quiet the danger broke yeah guys we're gonna call this the danger bro and now we're gonna test jeffrey's creation in the pool the hundred dollar boat is gonna go first this one's kind of too big for my pool so we're gonna try and test it at the lake time to test this stupid boat i know it'll float like that there's no doubt the question is if it's gonna flow with you in it there's no water leaking in that's a good sign here hold on let me hold on to you oh wait i'm just stuck you're just gonna fall through oh no this is so bad all right this is the floatability test wait let's see if it works wait stop stop chris don't do it like that you gotta hop you gotta hop into the water mighty slide boy oh it's floating it's unstable it might be okay get in there it didn't work get back in dude it's too heavy the cardboard has absorbed a ton of water it's really heavy now i mean it floods is just unstable yeah now it smells like wet cardboard so if you gotta just hop in it jump in do things busted jump in it just send it please float here we go whoa whoa whoa they like compress on my legs that was weird dude my legs are like compressed and stuck inside they got vacuum sealed for a second i'm done with this boat this boat don't flop no no float no remote it out oh what the this boat is terrible it's so heavy now all right well the 100 dollar boat did not float guys so this gets a disqualification it's out of the race we're now going to go to a nearby lake and go test that bad boy out let's go hey jeff are you sure this is gonna fit in your truck oh i don't know solid maybe because we took the battery out of my trucks now it's time to put this thing in the truck so this thing is heavy takes four people to lift it up i sure hope it fits and jeff's bad me too all right ryan you can shut that off and then come over here no i'll watch you guys do it come on captain always goes down with this okay dude this is so sketchy we need ratchet straps wait we used all the raster straps we're gonna get pull over dude well we got the boat in the truck um it barely fits my bed is a little bit bigger but we already used my battery it'll do 20 minutes later hi you have a tag by a tag yeah what is a tag we've been to the lake before no this has never been on any water it's just a raft we built for fun so i just filmed a conversation with the guy here at the lake he seems really confused about her boat so we're not really sure if we're going to be allowed to take our boat into the lake yet we're making a phone call in this booth want to test it out on the shore and then we're done uh no do you rent them we can go grab them so it sounds like we're gonna be able to put the boat on the lake but we have to go and get life jackets right now and then we can go back so that's good news eventually all right guys we're at the lake wait what are you doing don't go too far stop stop stop the water's so cold bro we gonna pull this thing down come on dude it totally works bruh she's floating boys guys i'm excited to take this thing out here on the lake right now we're putting the uh umbrella back on this is so sick we have to wait for the lifeguard to come by and inspect the boat though so i'm gonna go park my truck by the way if you are planning on building a boat and taking it to a lake you need to get it registered in order to launch it on the lake dude that is so cool there you go rob thank you chris getting pretty windy though yeah it is windy on this lake so i hope this motor is enough all right guys they're about to launch is it working yeah it's working oh look at that we're fighting the wind right now boys we're at full speed right now the motor does not work very well but you know you can turn us around i think we might be able to go a little faster yeah i think the forward gears work better this is hilarious this is really funny water's really choppy have a nice view though nice open it's working i'm really happy with our boat it works they can float along honestly we could take it fishing take it out a river i don't know you can do whatever you want what do you say chris i think we did a good job yeah we did a great job this is so cool i mean it's not the fastest thing but we are fighting the wind so it looks really funny though guys this is hilarious and it's just funnier having this lifeguard just watching us cleaning up we feel safe with the lifeguard plus we could uh buy another motor and upgrade the motor do a dual motor oh gosh this is the coolest boat oh i'm gonna have to say speed probably one out of five coolness factor what would you guys say dude this thing is awesome man i just got a 10 out of 10. 10 out of 10 dude i'm getting on plus i love this shade because it's really hot out today i want to go on a boat ride chris take me on the boat ride bro all right here we go yep if jeffrey wanted to he could pick up some oars and paddle for some extra speed actually you're going pretty quick yeah you are against the wind too that thing moves everybody's gonna help dude i think it's going pretty quick oh it might be that umbrella is pulling us down guys point the umbrella so you get wind speed towards us yeah point it this way dude this is fine dude well guys dude this boat works so well that's such a fun adventure going out and about loadability it gets a pass it doesn't even like tip over comfortability i say it's really comfortable you got your seats you got your shade dude this is awesome our first boat has zero points right yeah not cool it doesn't float it's not fast and it wasn't comfortable this one passes all four just beating that other boat blowing it out of the water hey ryan you want to you want to go for a float let's do it all right here we go take us away partner we're full speed whoa this thing got totally speed whoa look at this see you later bro where do you want to go dude we could travel across the atlantic ocean in this thing let's do it we just need to get like 500 car batteries dude this is scary wonder what would suck what if i drop to the camera dude you're pulling the camera above the
