So, this is an interesting one. There's a new video from Jim Browning, who does videos pretty often on tactics that scammers use.

In this particular video, at around the 9:48 mark, it appears that a Singaporean company "HLR Solutions Pte Ltd" is supposedly involved in this scam somehow being the recipient of funds from scammed victims.

Jim Browning had a live stream about 8 hours ago. Serves as an update video of sorts.

In the video you can see the names, addresses, NRIC/Employment pass of the people behind the company.

I live in Singapore and know what those ID numbers mean. The one at the top is a permanent resident but not a citizen. The one below is on an employment pass.

Looks like this company is abusing the pass system which the Ministry of Manpower takes a very dim view of. Let alone the other authorities.

I'm really angry with this, why can't people make use of their skills for proper work? Why scamming people can become a job for some that you will not feel remorseful about?

If Singaporean authorities catch these assholes, will they get caned?

I'm probably only one of a few people who enjoy getting calls like this this is an emergency call from visa secured there is an online transaction of 600 pounds from your account if you did not make the payment please press one immediately to talk to our representative critical alert for my gosh thank you for connecting via broadband my name is David how can I help you yeah I just got a message there about a payment from visa services the Manchester people are trying to take the money with the help of internet line so specially we got to keep some security IDs oh well do you know anyone from Magisters no no no okay and the internet password to any strangers any unauthorized person no okay I'll do anything so Alison do you want security ID it's a free service ID do you have any device like mobile phone well just you mean email yes sir but sure but first of all we have to remove something files on your internet line right so I just want to show you what's going on your internet line okay so we have some ID pulls over here you just want to show you why because maybe you can recognize them they actually trying to steal your money from the I really don't know anyone from Manchester so you know that's not yeah there's a there's a laptop upstairs yeah so it's the usual start to the scam he wants remote access which I give him and I also far up wireshark just to see which IP address he connects from an unseen and it comes from the city of Hyderabad I had seen that IP address before so more on who these scammers are from around the 12-minute mark I mean mine how is the internet line working so everything's working good that seems to be working but I'm just more worried about my bank the message was sent about at 600 find transaction do you know who that's from yeah select attempted because you internet line is an open net for father alright we're just blocking them from your line once this can complete it I can save you the clear picture okay now I just want you to place properly hang up this call you will get the next call from a network terminal team they're gonna upgrade the services okay okay okay and please answer the next phone yeah okay all right thank you bye thank you bye as I look back on the notes that I had about that IP address I noticed that these scammers had phoned me before and that left a message was signed it like this this is bt technical department we are here by to inform you that your internet line will be terminated from today onwards to fix up the problem please grass want to connect with bt if you wish to disconnect your internet press too so it just looked like the same old scam but with a slightly different message time to find out hi this variant of the scam work yes just worried about worried about transactions don't worry we are here to help you by using your internet line so let's just fast forward through this bit what she really wants to know is and you do banking write your application app in your mobile or do you do or through your computer oh my computer I use my computer I don't use I don't have like a smartphone so it's just a normal computer how you into your banks and just check whether the scammers have added any plays in your account sir yeah any payees did you say yes any pays and just check about your balance also is everything fine and just okay give me a second and I just need trouble with this so okay let me just change but this group are after your credit card details they need these because they wanted to transfer money via system called transfer wise so once I'm logged into my bank she then pops up notepad and asked for a load of personal details I obligingly tell her all of these details and at the end of the sequence she says protection has started but this is her cue to try and blackout my screen okay she will do this by attempting to send my screen output to a second monitor fortunately for us with VMware the second screen is always visible so we can see exactly what she's doing albeit almost like a smaller than normal screen that's black I don't know splashing no it's gone totally blank yes why is it like okay why because whenever we are just running a scan on your computer it is highly radiant sir okay so it might affect your eyes and your skin so that is the reason it turns to black color okay you may have noticed that she attempted to turn on my webcam they do this with pretty much all of their victims I keep assuring her that all I can see is a black screen okay dude take just two minutes of your time or five minutes I can't I can tell you the exact time because it is doing by a disturber right right yes you just need to bear with okay yeah yeah okay so whenever you see us click on a bag just do let me know very immediately okay yeah and you have a mobile phone with you right yes mm okay what is the make of your mobile phone that's Nakia is it an android one I don't know it's not a smartphone it's one of the older ones if that makes any difference I believe that the only reason why they ask about an Android phone is that they can get remote access to Android phones via TeamViewer in much the same way as they can access pcs all this time she's keeping an eye on my email client so that she confirm my email address when she set up my transferwise a kind the transferwise account was set up without my knowledge because I'm not supposed to be able to see this screen and of course she doesn't tell me about it I keep asking her but the black screen because the highly radiant it might affect your eyes and your skin droid right okay all right do your mobile phone you will be getting one message sir I'm just sending you the code to you yes digit number just do let me know that six is it number okay whenever you get it my robot okay yeah okay sending a PIN number to mobile device is part of this website security by me reading out the pin number effectively bypassing the security means that I may be liable for any fraudulent transactions this is something to note if you're ever asked to read out a PIN number never ever do it needless to say I didn't give the scammer my real mobile phone number if you just Google temporary SMS number you'll find plenty of websites which offer mobile numbers in whichever country you're in that you can receive temporary SMS messages this is a good way of hiding your own identity while allowing you to continue the scam bidding easier mobile phone you the answer yes it's on yes thank you thank you okay sorry this is your transferwise security code it will expire in five minute it's seven one nine four five seven seven that's right okay again you will be getting the code that just gave me the code once she had the second PIN number it was time for her to send money the first thing she did was typing just under 8,000 pounds that's about ten thousand dollars to be transferred to recipient she immediately selects Singapore dollars I'm keeping the recipient name and fill here not blurring it out because I believe this company in Singapore are complicit in this scam the name of the recipient is described as hit allure Solutions Private Limited which is a real company in Singapore I am here yes try first license you have a driver's license or any with you why why do any time okay because we are just securing your banking account through your international ID sir so that is the reason I'm asking you do you have a printer or it can be connected to your computer a printer a scanner I can't I don't know if it works I don't use it very often but yes so can you please turn on your scanner sir please turn it on your scanner this is the time I get to be a little bit creative I whip out my blank driving license I keep these handy for just such occasions and I fill it in with the most recent fake ID details I don't think I made too bad a job with it I printed this site and put it on to this on the virtual computer and just close it so just close it out yeah I know I'm trying to know just give me a second here all of this was of course being done while my computer screen was black but when both sides of the driving license were scanned she was now in a position to send real money to a recipient in Singapore but not surprisingly since I'd given completely fake details transferwise didn't immediately accept the ID that I'd given the scammer stuck around on my PC for a while but eventually she realized that she wasn't going to get anywhere and eventually give up this was my term to contact transferwise to see if we could find out any more information about the company that I was going to be sending money to under ventually transfer wise did get back to me and you can see the video that I sent them if your picture of mine they thanked me for providing the material but they said unfortunately due to regulations they have to legally abide by they come to us lose any specific measure that they took or implemented this sounds like a little bit of a cop-out to me and I'll never really know whether they actually did take any action or not they also cautioned me against showing the full detail of this scam in action because as they said it may not ever be seen by future victims whereas it could act as a tutorial video for future scammers or criminals I'm not entirely convinced by this argument and there are similar videos already from me and others on YouTube but I'd like to hear your views on this in the comments below but enough about where the money goes what about the people who actually make the calls the company who send out these scary messages are called a cuter technologies of Hyderabad in India from their website which I suspect won't last very long given what my previous videos have done you can see their exact address they're in the first floor of a building called SK feature and towards the centre of Hyderabad here's the phone number and email address of this business if i zoom in you can see exactly what this building looks like there are several businesses in this particular building but a cuter or in the first floor but very worryingly from their own website they claim to have a number of real customers and those customers include sky life watch the American Diabetes Association u.s. Auto Sprint and AT&T if these are real customers are not just a front for the website then people's data is at extreme risk with this company the company also have a Facebook page a low like their website I suspect the Facebook page won't stay aligned much longer after I post the video and there's some very interesting photographs on that Facebook page particularly of inside call center let's have a look at some of those photographs which were posted publicly I believe the person and the for grind here is called Mahesh Bombay because he is the managing director of a cuter I'm Mahesh as managing director is ultimately responsible for all of these calls which are being sent to the UK he heads up what is a criminal firm he attempt to gain access to people's bank accounts he has to be responsible and here again is a publicly accessible LinkedIn page with Mahesh as details this is him he went to a technology university in India and if you look at the description of what ocular technologies does it claims that more than 50 customers including fortune 500 companies insurance life insurance government agencies and so on has clients this is extremely worrying but how can I be so sure that it's a cuter doing these scams it could be some other company with a Hyderabad IP address well as always I was able to get access to their computers and here you can see them trying to scam someone here's the scammer on her PC trekking on skype she's part of a ocular tech support group with 38 participants and what they do is they send personal details of their victims around the Skype chat the real name of the scammer is Ashwini but she'll give her Nima's yeah hi sir this is Jennifer Watson from the network terminal Department how are you doing today oh that's great sir and I believe that you spoke to my colleague regarding the Internet network is she right she'll run through all the standard elements of a tax court scam the force shall try to gain access to the victims bank account and unfortunately this particular victim was compliant and he did login to Santander bank account with the scammer connected okay okay you do it by yourself sir because we can already see we cannot see anything as we are running a scan as we connected we are trying to track the hackers who are trying to do all these activities okay your account is fine just let me run a scan don't touch her don't do anything let me run a scan sir bear with me I'm here scan equals scam they will blacken the screen and transfer money out of their victims accounts I'm not only really steal money but to attempt to download people's files and as you can see here turn on the webcam to see who they're victimizing hello I'm here sir what is you on your screen nothing on the screen okay okay don't touch your mobile device okay okay okay what do you see now are you able to see what do you see on your screen now okay keep your call in the speaker and if you have any work you can do it too okay I will let you know once the scan is completed so finally I'd like to leave you with the details of the managing directors salary this this is payslip for September 2018 and he earns around two hundred thousand rupees that's by 2000 fines or about two and a half thousand dollars a pretty good salary if you're in India and lastly these are some details of most of the employees of ocular technologies this is their basic salaries and where I have them their blood groups of course I passed all of this information on to the local Hyderabad police and rather supplies in the I did get a response from the Commissioner of Police of Hyderabad who simply said that it would be forwarded to the Commissioner of Police cyber about and this does make sense because the cyber bad police commissioner it is literally streets away from where this call center is located but of course I've heard absolutely nothing back again I waited a full two weeks and I've released the video and hope that I can embarrass this Police Service into actually taking some action as always you can get access to this material much earlier than everyone else if you're a pet load mine and the link is here on screen and in the description below and of course I'm on Twitter Jim running 11 again thanks for watching you
