am in the morning fun fact i was just researching this out of fun because there used to be really old taimon is the god of time theories and i thought it would be hilarious if those were just proven just to say it was venti then i realized after the 30 minute mark that maybe my sleep-deprived consciousness was on to something so here we go with the release of ncaa's lore and the sudden drop of information about the many gods of celestia there is one city in this game that suddenly became really really suspicious monster the land of freedom suddenly got a boost of lore in relation to the drop of ncanamia story and with that it's finally time to return to the animal archon that we miss dearly welcome to the venti became the god of wind and time theory where today i proposed that venti was once a part of an ancient god and grew to merge his wind powers with her powers of time this theory is going to be stemming from both speculation and confirmed pieces from the lore so please keep that in mind but let's begin from the start of the universe itself the world as we know it didn't start with celestia's rule it actually began with the seven sovereigns these are the bishops that we've seen in kanemia and are now referred to as a dragonair of the reps they used to rule this land and predated the coming of the primordial one their rays aren't the humanoid creatures we see today but instead resembled scaly creatures that were attuned to the element of the world one day a large creature shaped like an egg with wings came down to this world and waged war against the seven did not hear them the only one that truly listened was isdaroth they knew the only one who had not forsaken them as the ruler of time mr roth is known as the thousand winds in the undying wind according to the book before sun and moon she was the moment she was the measure of a thousand winds and the sun and the moon she was every second of joy every second of rage every instant of longing every minute of obsession and every flash of delirium she was loved by the people of yakuyokoku and regarded as their high deity when the people were being terrorized by the dragon narratives she was the one who gave abrax the wisdom to build the dainichin of mikoshi and bring the sun to the darkness of bayakiya koku she was known as kairos in mythology the name kairos means proper or opportune conception the first time we ever heard of a god of time wasn't from ryakyo koku but instead from bonstat's thousand win temple and the nameless island if you've ever been to the secret island and completed the world quest time and wind you've seen the large sundial and the eye of the storm that used to be a part of worship from the god of time the god of time was a deity that used to romance that alongside barbados but for some reason she was forgotten and lost to time it got to the point that future generations perceived the thousand wins temple as only being dedicated to the god of wind not both went in time an unknown amount of years passed amongst the rule but she slowly faded from existence and disappeared entirely from history she disappeared long before barbados met vanessa and before the cataclysm came so it's unknown where she truly is at the moment but now let's get to the theory we've established that there does exist a connection historically in one state between barbados and istharoth but i want to go further and say that barbados was a shade of istharath that she planted onto monsta to help the people while she was dormant i proposed that isteroth created barbados a long time ago and gave him his name barbados's purpose was to become an archon and help the people of monstat because of istarat's mercy towards humanity she would leave him to be the main ruler instead of herself knowing that she has greater responsibilities to celestia and that she's the shade of the primordial one much like how she says that a seed must be planted in time and will bloom when the time is right she leaves monstat in barbados's care believing that he will assist them when the people need him as for her she disappears for unknown reasons and goes dormant only time will tell when she'll come back but as for now the powers of time and wind reside in barbados now let's break the theory down barbados being a shade of istharoth is a pretty big leap all things considered we lack the information of what a shade even is but what we know is that a shade is something that was created by a more powerful creature and is capable of sentient life we know this because istheroth herself was a shade but she followed different ideals from fantas such as her love for humanity barbados being a shade could have ties with this peculiar origin story invent his story character number three estheroth was known as a thousand winds in the beginning barbados was known as but a threat of the thousand winds that roared through the northern lands he was but a tiny elemental spirit without a shred of divine dignity a breeze that brought subtle changes for the better or tiny seeds of hope barbados was also named that he adopted in the latter years the name barbados comes from the ars goesha and it's one of the 72 demons barbados the name has ties with both the past and the future the artist goes stating that he knows everything that has happened and that will happen interestingly enough this isn't the first time that we've seen something like this multiple gods ruling a nation together or at least helping people isn't really all that different for example the situation with gijon and morax and martrosius helped the people of lyoe while he was under morax's care oribashi was living in peace with the electro archon before the siege of yashiori island and a sacrificed her mortal form for the sake of makoto rising to the seat of the seven arkhans i can definitely see istheroth and barbados having a shared relationship which brings me to the thousand winds temple the rule between istanroth and barbados or time and wind respectively was regarded differently by the people the wind would bring the stories and time would cultivate it however their worship of time seemed to be a bit more fearful than with the wind we see the gods lore and other parts of the game like the sacrificial series the wind blows for a moment but the ravages of time are constant unrelenting and irreversible a god of the wind may move between the pages of a book but in the end the merciless god of time will eat away at them until not a single legible word remains so next is the proposition that she lost her powers across time a god losing their powers isn't completely unheard of in this world we know that venti himself says that he is currently the weakest archon out of the seven though the legitimacy of that claim is currently unknown but the best correlation we have is with guoba marchosia slowly lost his power while helping the people of liue which made him retire and go to sleep for an undetermined amount of time if the god of time is losing her powers i believe that she too would go into a voluntary state of dormancy and leave barbados to guide her people i think it's a nice tidbit that barbados is afraid of celestia and refuses to talk about them and in the manga we see three figures in the background as vanessa asks him what he thinks of celestia but on the other hand barbados trash talks celestia and even tells the traveler secrets that are limited only to the archons such as the purpose of visions being given to the allergens and the history of the gnosis in terms of knowledge barbados also seems to have connections with the past and the future let's begin with the past barbados knows about character histories from decades long ago as well as songs that have spanned across centuries people say that the tales he did in the past were as old as the hills themselves and barbados's wisdom about history could compete well with morax if not even transcend more access knowledge he knows the stories of characters and tells their tales like a ballad he says that he likes weaving people's names into stories so that they won't be forgotten hence cultivating it this was something that he promised the traveler he'll do in the future he also has knowledge about the creations of the world beyond tivat or even conriya and in kanemia meaning that the true extent of what he knows is currently undetermined but let's go with the future barbados isn't near omnipotent when it comes to future telling and i can even argue that mona's astrology is even more accurate than whatever power was bestowed on barbados well at least that's what he lets on but instead i believe he carries his actions as though respecting a kind of butterfly effect his character revolves around the prospect of coincidence an example of this was when he alludes to albedo losing his control over the art of kenya in the city of monstat but there's another really funny one that i think shouldn't have any connections but was pretty cute to add this can be found in venti's profile the aristocracy of monstat used to have treaties with neighboring countries about selling off their soldiers as slaves an example of this was the treaty with leo but the plot thickens as something about the contract seems a little off the news and the conflict spread like wildfire consuming the aristocracy it was only many years later that historians would discover that this treaty was fake as it turned out venti had once practiced the art of forgery in order to play pranks on the geo workon but could never deceive the god of wealth and transactions even so his adaptness would come into play after several hundred years what a happy coincidence so this brings me to the last part of this theory barbados was bestowed the powers of time this is something that we have never seen in the game before besides fanus giving their own shades powers we have never seen a god transfer their powers completely to another entity the closest that i could think of is with a and makoto where a sacrificed her body and makoto made her into a kagemusha additionally it could be said about kunikuzushi in e where he was a byproduct of her divine tampering a complete transferal though is unknown now i'm not saying that barbados suddenly has become the god of time and has complete control over chronology this theory still considers him as a shade or a fragment of the god of time's power i also doubt he is highly omnipotent but instead i believe that he did inherit some aspect of kairos kairos or the opportune moment if barbados is the seed that the god of time planted in this world to help humanity grow in the future when the time comes then it's possible that she would also leave behind a form of cultivation venti's character revolves around sleep and rest which can mirror the waiting game that the god of time references to in the quest time and wind barbados being the seed that blooms when the time is right could connect a lot to what he does and how he does things when we first meet venti in the manga it's a thousand years in the past allegedly or at least he awakens at the time before vanessa saves monstart from the aristocracy he was also asleep when once that calls for his help against the dragon durian the prayers of monsta's people awoke the animal work on and his will summoned forth the wind dragon divalent as the last defender of monstadt devalden battled during with all his might barbados being awake now could also connect to the story of the traveler and storm terror his purpose of being awake this time was to help the traveler's story whether it be against the saritza the abyss or even celestia themselves but barbados being awakened now also means something important this means that something big is about to happen in monstart that fate needs him to be active and to that i believe is the story of albedo and the emergence of a greater threat barbados already had a hunch what might happen in the future and with the coming of monstat's background plots like subject to and the real awakening of durin barbados being awake isn't by accident not to mention the traveler's presence in this world is an enigma which could be the next big event the god of time is expecting the traveler's powers exceed the limits of this world and i've said before that celestia themselves are practically aliens the travelers coming to this world bearing the same semblance as a god despite not being part of celestia's jurisdiction would have been seen as an important event barbados needs to witness but yes the plot only further thickens but that just means we need to see barbados god forbid also if venti is a shade of ishtaroth then i don't doubt that paimon might be the shade of the sustainer of heavenly principles especially since she seems really questionable but yes my name is
