hello everyone this is korean billy and we are back and this is American John Buddhists am an Australian Bela as we did before are we still have a lot of words which are quite different in each country so today I've also prepared another 10 pair of you know different pictures so we're gonna see one by one and ask you how you call each one okay okay sure I'm ready this is the first one yeah I call it sneakers sneakers what about UK trainers trainers and we call them runners runners yeah I love the simplicity of us cuz you're running them but you training them because you see running people are they also called runners yeah runners runners and in America you call that sneakers sneakers sneakers and I don't know where that comes from because you don't sneak yeah maybe cuz they're quiet they're rubber you might as well be something you might as of Sun in the UK these are people trainers training so training well but trainer makes sense yeah they're like training shoes but in Australia I don't people saying like trained as a sneakers actually we use sneakers if we're talking about more like a casual sure like you're not going to exercise in it but you're just wearing them was like a pair of jeans or something and the next one is this one how would American people call them my first thought was pot a pot because you have a pot to boil right and pots can be small or big like that one but I guess for camping camping pot something Falls yeah keep it simple mm-hmm yeah what about British people I'm gonna like say this thing big pot boiling plants one of our Australian my first thought was pot as well I think it's also a Billy yeah like a Billy Ken yeah Billy cow yes so kind of it yeah have you ever heard a light Billy Conn never this kind of word I'm not sure I would imagine a can but like me maybe a food can or something like that but nothing similar to that next one is this one ah I know yours because I watched Top Gear yeah yeah we got like a couple different names one just trunk because that's fine or rig rig is like a big truck or oh three rig truck semi or three but that would just be a truck or a rig that semi would be your really long one hmm yeah really really big one that you see in America what about the thing that's a lorry lorry I love Lauren so we have a tongue twister yeah just maybe nice dose a red lorry yellow lorry you ready fast I'm not gonna do it I'm gonna make a fool of you do it Laury Laury really quickly and how do you call this we just call it a truck truck really there's nothing fancy in a service truck but Billy pot was weird yeah I can really I'm sorry Billy cannon this one is the next one okay so this is type of building how would you insane apartment complex or apartments apartment but call it a block of flats or just it's a block of yeah but you don't really use what's not complex no or a flat block it sounds a bit strange so this is where I get a bit confused because we use both of those ways apartment and flats any different I think to my knowledge apartments of bigger sir apartments will have more stories whereas a flat might have like two or three levels and that's kind of the distinction between it what we use both and I believe in the UK there are also like apartments which are considered quite funny yeah they're like studio apartments yeah pretty pretty career to you just back to the UK it's a little book where your friends all disappointed yeah I think I know yours cuz you told me I think so yeah yeah I think so I'm always curious of the Australian we would call this shopping cart sort yeah that shopping cart for folding cards this is a trolley or something Jordan trolling maybe I knew yours we also call that our trolley as well yeah it's so interesting because like sometimes Australia and American was a saying sometimes in Australia and British was a saying so that's really confusing that can be friends whatever yeah but it's like has their own words it's like really no one knows I'm not really used to the watchfully trolley to us would be like maybe if you've seen in San Francisco or something it's you know the type of train looking thing on tracks that uses electricity to be moved forward and that would be a trolley it's a totally calm right the phone yeah charlie car yeah cuz we call it trams Roman has the biggest tram network in the world who Melbourne I see yeah this one is the next one eggplant eggplant I always wondered why I'm really curious actually I know this yeah well how do I pull it one busy aubergine I knew it yeah it's bad that I have to think about these I'm glad you're first cuz I'm like oh my god what am i grateful and eggplant not want yeah America but I also know machine so know I've definitely seen that word before and I'm like what the heck is an OPG and then I just skip I thought it was like some sort of musical instrument or something but what Jen sounds really strange to me it sounds strange it sounds strange to me as well this is very fancy luxury brand the next one is the entire place yeah a movie theater or theater for a good you know general use but movie theater movie theater cinema yeah when we say kids we think of like West End yeah yeah is that clear so record cinema sometimes movie theater as well I guess we adopted that for me yeah some American shows but that makes sense because like theater is still like a live-action theater for us relievers of movie theaters why you're cold you call that movie movie theater yeah yeah I really would like to be simple we just say Ruby's no yeah I'm just going to the movies yeah or cinema sometimes before yeah yeah so if you were district rising that building it would be just being that's the movies I probably say the cinema oh okay like if I'm saying I'm going to see a movie I would just say I'm going to yeah now what about when you go when you watch a play yeah theater let's say you're finished and you did and there's the way to movie do you film yeah Phil Phil what we use both but film and movie and do you also use the word film not moving not really so you use the word movie and you use the word cinema movie from American word and SNL from British word that's how much like we adopt each other's languages and stop becoming blood cinema the next one is the sour one my American Michael's pickles what about pickled cucumbers just be good just pickles pickles never pickled just pickle because they taste good what about Australian it's another situation when we use both oh sorry but really think now so if it's kind of bumpy like that then it's a pickle wait I can't remember which way is which but one is bumpy and it's a pickle and then one is smoother and it's a gherkin all the other way around like in a burger it would be a pickle but then if you get it from like those Eastern European stores right then there go gets so you use both yeah in London there's been so eager can build a right yes we have the gay kid yeah because it looks like the shaking of a gherkins gherkin doesn't really sell meat vegetables no next one is this one American one yeah that's the be ground beef ground beef absolutely slit from the ground beef right yeah right what about UK that's mince in some instance don't necessarily say like beef when you say just mince yeah we just naturally think of beef yeah it's just beef yeah mince it is [Music] we say mince meat as well and we instantly think of beef but then we also have like chicken pork turkey is it minced meat work or just bits of pork like means pork rinds yeah but minced meat is like beef but what is minced chicken like it's fine it's just chicken is they just make it into a burger I think that's what mostly that's like chicken burger but do you use the word like mince mince a yes when we're talking about like vegetables or other things that you cut up really small um then we say like mints your garlic or mince your greens or whatever but for meat never used just used wrong round exactly what about you you do use ground on certain products like grounded and this is gonna be the last one last one is ah guarding suspenders suspenders can there be execute suspenders because there's Y shape in its shape but suspenders we call them braces braces you also understand suspenders yes yeah yes suspenders like I think I've become more like accustomed to suspenders they are all like imported exported yeah because I was a few and I buy them - what about Australia I spend us suspended easy what about braces again if you said it I would know what it is but we wouldn't use that we just as his business so braces have another meaning never never those it would only be yeah only the thing for the teeth straight your teeth out braces braces braces yeah only the tiara what about like you know if you have an injured a brace but you wouldn't have like you could have several braces but usually you just have a little bit of time so it's like oh I have a brace for my armor my lady whatever same way though right yeah same word we also use brace for injury yeah so you can both wear a brace and graces at the same time braces look a bit strange about that combination yeah so right we've been talking about our ten vocabulary differences American one British one an Australian one and thank you very much for your good jobs thank you a lot yeah and I think that's it for today and if you liked this video don't forget to click thumbs up and subscribe to my channel as well and I'll see you guys next time [Music]
