Upgrading my airship to defend from pirates in Black Skylands!

hello fellow engineers and welcome to Black Skylands in this game you take control of a very efficient Airship oh my it's very very efficient and you must defend yourself from the ever-growing threat of pirates you can leave your ship and explore Islands but be careful as we're in the sky and if you fall it's a long way down now thankfully you have this sky hook which allows you to Grapple yourself back up to safety there's a super long and interesting story but I don't want to spoil that for you so we'll start after the prologue we're on this ship for fathership and we've been left in charge to rebuild it and liberate Islands whilst exploring some strange goings on by the way this video is sponsored by tinybuild who have released an absolute bangers recently and this one is no exception but black Skylanders have just left early access after a year of constant updates and is now available in version 1.0 boost the link in my description to check it out so I've just been to this fuel station I've refueled I got some ammo from uh from a gun at the top of my ship we've got to head to Mills Island so let's take the Helm of this very efficient oh I love the shape yeah basically can you see like can you see like the map at the top and sort of in the background we're like in a jet stream so we can get some extra boost he hasn't been to this island look in the map there seems to be a couple of ships now if they're red they are enemy Pirates so let's head up here and oh boy oh boy there's a part oh he's got a big gun he's got a big gun so I've got like sort of cannons on the side which I can do that I've also got my machine gun oh I've also got that so I don't know if you saw that it's sort of like a like a shield so I can get rid of their projectiles I can bounce them back if I time it perfectly but I'm quite bad at that anyway let's let's try and get rid of this guy right one more hit boost yes he's down and look we get loads and loads of blue Iron now over on the left there's sort of two resources the red Iron and the blue Iron yeah each of those they're either used to like upgrade your ship or upgrade your weapons and stuff because boy there are a lot of weapons on this game it's awesome anyway this is the island we've got to liberate you can see there are enemy he's on there thankfully I can just stay on my ship and shoot them but at the same time I can just hop on there look I've got a pistol I've got a shotgun and a machine gun I feel like I might use my shotgun so come on come on explosive Barrel oh nice destroyed no head across this bridge and you know what that means we need the bridge review a wooden bridge made with four logs and a load of Planks on top showing a few signs of wear and tear but it's plenty enough for me to still get across safely and after a bit of a fight you can see I've covered this in red paint just like the Golden Gate in order to make sure it doesn't rust and corrode even though it's made out of wood I think the red adds an extra point to this so therefore I give this bridge a 5.5 out of 10. bridge review anyway as I'm exploring these islands you can see there's like stuff I can gather if I can hold e to do that you can see that's now in a crate I can either carry these myself all the way back to the ship but I don't like manual labor and you may have noticed at least he has a little white moth following me well this guy actually does all my handiwork so if I just Harvest this Stone put it in a crate I can then hold C look he's flown off taking that to the ship so I'm just gonna Harvest all this stuff we got some red oil there yep take that to my ship up here what have we got oh we got some blue or definitely want that at and then oh inside this building oh yeah look we've got a mod box take that back to the ship and that is this island explored however we have we got to liberate all these islands remember so if we head over this way look another enemy um I can use my machine gun on the front just to literally rip through them kind of cool saves me having to get off uh there's the there's like a sort of main boss oh no we're on attack run attack hang on yeah basically if they've got a gold health bar they are like the boss so first cannons there are no more enemies here this island can now be considered defended so yeah we get a load of fireworks out what happened we're still under attack game game let me defend myself all right there we go we're good right so we'll head on to here look there's a strange crack so we can dig that up and oh I've got a treasure chest yes please all right and with this island liberated we can head back in here because look oh SMG yes please so anyway we'll head back to the fathership oh just just run into that floating rock you can you can destroy them get them out the way they sometimes contain uh decent resources so oh there you go there you go go grab that mothy nice but yeah we'll head back to our father ship now which as you can probably see all the buildings have been destroyed and everything anyway first off let's install that mod box that we got in here so onto our ship in the hole we grab the mod box and now we're carrying it we got a hooks guy hook our way over shove it in there and oh it's an assault rifle barrel so if we open up our tablet this is where we sort of upgrade everything so if you go into equipment we've got our assault rifle there so you can add like all sorts of Parts there so we got a new Barrel so compared to the normal one it increases the critical hit chance so yeah definitely install that yeah you can also upgrade these weapons but look we need an Armory level one as well as different resources to actually buy the individual upgrades now this person just gave us a quest to find resources to rebuild the Armory thankfully I've already got all those which means we can come over to it and they repair the Armory it's two wood and two Stone so there it is being built in real time by moths and yeah now we have this on our fathership means if I come down to upgrade look we can upgrade three times until we need to upgrade the Armory level now that's 15 damage to my assault rifle oh I've just done that anyway if we head up this way we have this area where it's sort of like my laboratory so I can like research different things so we're going to research this the Pyro station which as you can see down there it's like a flamethrower turret so definitely unlock that but yeah to get more unlocks we need to find like more crystals to research uh down here oh we got sniper rifle thank you yeah I think for now we got a quest top right we gotta repair the ship Workshop so we need two more wood two more Stone so let's head back to our ship and uh even though it's night time let's go let's go find some resources oh let's not fly into the into the fuel station I've also got like a main quest of finding Peter we gotta gotta get to the big water Island so since I'm gonna find resources on these islands I may as well I may as well do that one first so you can see top left we've got a head well to the top left but there are two enemies up here should I try and take him down yes despite their efficient looking boost efficient looking ships I am gonna annihilate them there we go that gave me a load of resources very nice oh no there's more there's more enemies up that way say what let's get ready to fire bush oh they do so much damage the side cannons I know I'm out of army all right we just gotta use my machine gun maybe I'll go back to the fuel station to uh buy some ammo okay also my fuel bars pretty empty so if I go in here I have stocked up some fuel canisters so if I shove this down here yeah I've only got 90 fuel so if I I'd pour that in you can see my canister on the right going down so that's my ship 100 full I am just gonna come over here fill up the canister and then we'll get flying again I love how efficient this ship looks all right hang on hang on we got two enemies over here we've got two enemies Bush eat Cannon oh I completely missed mate we are reloading the Cannons all right let's get ready with a good shot boost oh no oh my God one of them again it's one of them again why why am I doing this gotta remember to use my Boost deflector Shield thing because that's really useful yeah oh I deflect this shot back at him right ready ready cannons and it's down right that has a load of material wait what is that on the map what is that on the map I'm very distracted it looks like a kraken I don't think I'm strong enough to take this down I might why why am I heading over here oh I hear scary music I hear scary noises wait what's going on I can't move my ship oh there's a kraken I'm in big big trouble oh no I've been freezing oh you gotta take down the Kraken okay so it's sort of like a little boss we gotta try and take out the spike or dodging where it's spearing I'm just focusing everything on one Spike oh no oh I got hit I got hit man this thing is strong come on I'm literally focusing on one tentacle at the one take it down take it down quick oh that was close that was close I'll tell you what I'm gonna take the shotgun I'm gonna go for the eyeball yeah when those spikes come down ready boost eyeball eyeball eyeball oh it's defending it's liable now I think that's how you do the damage on this oh it's moving so fast now it's moving so fast now yeah I'm really running out of ammo as well uh this is this is not good all right eyeball eyeball eyeball eyeball just go for the eyeball I'll tell you what I'll tell you what let's uh let's shove my flamethrower down there now it's getting flamethrowed in the eye love it wait I'm out of sniper I mean now down to just shotgun all right V Let's repair myself or just about dodged out the weight I got another flamethrower in the eyeballs oh this thing's moving fast now I'm quite scared I think I'm screwed I think I'm screwed I'm really running out of Health I've got no ammo left all right know itself don't take on the Kraken before you've like done any mission in the game map anyway back with what we were doing heading down the jet stream tour oh what is that what is that hang on I got I'm so distracted oh my goodness the Falcon ship is well guarded I should be careful okay well okay stop me first I'm just defending myself now first I eat Cannons all right I want to take down take down the turrets all right that middle turret is nearly out of there there we go boring deflect those back cannon fire that's another turret down boost deflect those Bush oh boy oh they just missed my butt out deflect again deflect again okay they did they did just hit me deflect them back we've taken out the middle turret on this side let's try and reflect those take that down take out the front turret it is down that turret is also down oh this is going this is going really really well fairly we got one more turret and then it's just a case of taking out all these little all these little guys I've just crashed into their Loop all right cannon on you boost man that guy is huge eat Cannon but anyway we've taken down the ship let's let's get on board oh look at all this stuff right mothy grab all the stuff we are pillaging I'm doing a British ancestors proud okay nice successful pillage that let's uh let's head to the big water Island that we're meant to be heading to oh no I've got low fuel I've got low fuel again I need to stop getting distracted all right grab the fuel back out I'm glad I did actually restock my fuel and then finally head to the island which is straight ahead and oh my goodness what is that what is that so yeah they've just shut their doors we've got to get to the main gate switch get it open because I think we're trying to liberate this island uh let's go in on foot so we've got to try and get to the main switch which is up this way apparently so all right there's you eat some oh man my assault rifle is pretty good oh what is this okay we're gonna have to try and Dodge these bullets gotta make the jump right or even more bullets to dodge all right run three run three right turn around turn oh they got annihilated by it grow the weight right switch to the shotgun because they're close range boost each shotgun okay then Dodge these bullets I'll tell you what the explosive Barrel oh that was awesome grab this bit of Health oh that's on my Med kits yeah if I just use my current Med kit I can pick up that one so it looks like we got a head up here to reach further roll off the ground space and then use my hook okay so go do like a hook running Jump Then hook nice okay down here we got that guy each shotgun eat flamethrower turret okay then we'll head down this way we've got to go up there's a few more people oh my goodness oh there's so many there's so many I'll tell you what I'm gonna stand over here and then boosh sniped him oh I forgot I had a sniper so I can stand here and boosh sniper sniper oh that was awesome all right okay back to shotgun close range combat I assume am I going up this way yeah there's the switch okay use that switch to Open this gate nice then where are we going okay up here we've got our two guys up there let's see what let's get my sniper out boost boost then we can jump across these I'm on a very efficient looking Island there's a lot of efficiency in this game I'm liking that oh and then this guy we can do hook back stab bit of stealth damage all right oh switch from sniper to shotgun for the close range enemies all right oh this guy oh this guy has a shotgun as well I think is he boost boost running circles around them we've made it down here where oh no there's loads of enemies shove the flamethrower down head back over this way right then from this side I can just snipe them whilst my turret does all the damage this isn't cheating this is how you're meant to play the game oh double kill the sniper so yeah turret made quite a mess there cheers turret and then this is the the main gate so they're open I can fly through now it's also awesome a new weapon a rifle all right up here we got a few more guards to get rid of then we can just head back to our ship which is here and then we can fly through those Gates that we just opened so we can head inside I probably should have picked up all the resources I need as well actually I forgot about those it's still in here oh we have turrets we have turrets we got some of these rocks to get rid of oh look there's another mod box I'll tell you what let's penetrate this cave I got my balls in as well anyway that means we can come over grab this I can tell my moth to take that back to the ship is it worth going this way what's around here what is this scales oh have we got a little puzzle we've got like weights and I can shove them on the scales they've got the PlayStation controller layout on and what is this down the bottom let me let me just shove that on there does it say which one says Richmond weighs more does it so that one weighs more than this one so let's shove that there triangle do you weigh more okay triangle weighs more so if we take those out and then we can put the circle that was the lightest and compare that to triangle triangle still weighs more okay so I think these are sort of in order so lightest to heaviest we've then got the square does it weigh more than an X oh yes it does okay so they're now in order of weight do I do lightest to heavier so I think that would be this order and nothing happened maybe it's the maybe it's the other way around oh wait no I just completely I just completely missed missed it anyway that's that's right we get we get some of these crystals the research ones sweet so that's cool anyway back to our ship uh the sun is actually setting let's reverse out of here I know we're gonna have to do this through the night now get rid of those rocks ahead of meat all right then up here we got a load of enemies Bruce we got a turret we have a turret right that's taken care of we can then boost those guys out of its existence I am gonna have to jump on here just to collect all those resources from the enemies there's a diggy thing let's dig this hole another Treasure Chest oh my goodness there's a there's a huge rocket off to be out okay back to the safety of my ship oh the switch was just there oh I didn't see the switch was just the other side so use that switch that will open the gate ahead of me meaning now we can head up I think that was the turret that literally just shot me it will try and clear that out nice look at this oh look at the Lighthouse that's what I like about this game it's like it's 2D but it is actually 3D anyway just clear up the last of these Pirates and then we found Peter he's in a cage yeah unfortunately we're being attacked by a ship it's finally they're using my tactic against me uh uh run away run away all right let's get up close with the shotgun boost eat that eat that oh good thing our wedding please just put a load of rocks down I gotta take out more of the turrets oh there's like a minigun at the top that's not fair anyway shotgun nice and close oh I've destroyed something okay hide behind rocks hide behind rocks ah all right get to the back get to the back all right it's down it's down out it's down to half Health can I drop my turret there you go go on turret oh I'm being murdered by that minigun I got a sniper so I'm just gonna stay back here a bit where it's a bit safer it's only got a tiny amount of Health remaining it's very much looking at me though oh no there's so many rocks oh that that hurt that hurt oh and it's down yes it's down oh no don't say oh dear all right I'm completely out of ammo so I'm gonna have to swap two more weapons that do have amate so pistol you're back involved uh SMG you're up and also swap my shotgun for this rifle oh man oh man take him down take him down so this is one of the one of the pirate bosses oh no the rocks have gone the rocks have gone right flamethrower down nice okay SMG SMG oh that's doing the damage Dodge the bullets Dodge a bullets all right let's just hope this pistol is as powerful as the Halo one it does have unlimited ammo so it's all I got left yes we're talking down I feel like that pistol was my best weapon there anyway we got a mod box take that Mr moth and then I can get them off to take me to my ship so in order to free those people we need to clear this wreckage so boost cannon fire and then these guys are free to go oh what are these a monsoon rocket launcher okay and a Howitzer perhaps I can swap this weapon or add new weapons oh man I'm excited I'm excited anyway for now it's back to the fathership oh which thankfully I can just fast travel to so yeah let's do that we've got the resources to repair the ship Workshop back on the father ship so now we can upgrade our Skyship okay so this moth just brought us a note it said another island has been attacked but it's not been attacked by Pirates it's been attacked by those moth things so we've got to reach the moth nest for now I'm gonna just install all the mod boxes I've got so where's my ship so shove one in there oh it's a rifle site my rifle is going to be all good what's this other one a sniper rifle barrel got another one which I can show oven there while I take the barrel no assault rifle but oh man our assault rifle is going to be so good and a shotgun sight okay so the sniper Barrel makes my range and critical hit better it's not too good on the reload speed but whatever the assault rifle but increases our rate of fire yes please and the shotgun sight increases the damage okay in the meantime I'm just upgraded my assault rifle so it does even more damage and then I can finally spend my blue on upgrading my ship so I can make a semi wooden hole I can increase my speed my acceleration handling even increase the fuel tank and inventory capacity I think durability then perhaps acceleration or should I just save up for the next durability I might just save up for the next durability all right anyway we're heading to the bottom left now we haven't actually headed this way at all yet oh no there's a big there's a big boss there is a big boss I think we gotta try and clear the skies let's take it out get ready Bruce oh dear back to deflect okay may try and stay at the back of this it's a lot faster than I am not ideal if I can take out this back Cannon Bruce eat some of that oh no no big cannons big cannons run away run away run away oh dude oh I took down I did take down a big turret okay somehow this is actually going reasonably well I'm just sort of sniping the Cannons from behind yeah you can't see me I'm in like it's blind spot oh has all the Cannons gone from this side there is a turret on the front left boost oh no see me it's see me oh no it's called reinforcements ah run away run away oh this isn't fair game I was doing really well then oh no oh no too close oh I just about destroyed it before it destroyed me oh man this thing is fast all right let's just jump on all right we're on board bye have a great time let's take out these guys oh there's loads of enemies there's loads of enemies and I've lost my ship this is not good this is not good I've completely lost my ship it's just left me behind um oh wow oh wow there's the boss there's the boss okay oh I took boss down yes and we've taken it over oh it means we can get all the resources from in here we've got another mod box and yeah I think these guys they're like repairing it all this is our ship now yeah the only job is how do I get back to my ship I think I'm gonna have to use my moth so you can fly me back to my ship hopefully it's okay over here oh no it is under attack it is under attack cheers mate boost eat Cannon okay we need some repairs we need some repairs big time to repair that and then hopefully without getting too distracted we can actually hit where we're meant to be going the moth Nest but oh no more enemies I'm trying to just head to the moths oh it's down it's down right let's deflect that just gotta take down this little one this is the one this is the one leaving mines everywhere cheeky little bugger you know it's down I think it just just went into it so I didn't mind anyway the moth Nest is only a hundred meters away so here we are what have we got oh man there's there's a lot of a lot of death about but oh no there's the there's the dodgy alien things uh defend myself uh there's so many of them they're so fast they're so fast run away oh we did just about clear them but anyway we gotta go get moth so we can clear the rubble and then find out what
