names out of a hat oh no they're going to decide just let them go to people they like vivia maybe haven't said nasty things about their car Jeremy I'm wondering if you are the same Jeremy Clarkson who said I'd rather go to work on my hands and knees than drive there in a Ford Galaxie and foolish when I wrote that I designed the Ford Galaxie upholestry had a cauliflower fixation again again I've up to Ford just so that I can get one of those cool where do we Jerry me all the Fords it's a fluid thing the cool wall as you know it's never said anything fixed and I thought nice cars I'll tell you what they're moving back is that fluid that's look you want to make it absolutely plain I'm not doing this if anybody's watching from like Dagenham I'm not you just yes of all for them okay can I talk about the gt40 now yes good you see over the years a number of KITT car manufacturers have made copies of it they've been kind of plastic facsimile is with that Rover v8 engine that you were talking about earlier absolute some had the Mustang engine as well and to be honest some we're pretty good I mean these are very good indeed but now Ford themselves has had a go at making a copy so think of it really as a gt40 for the 21st century the old car was called the gt40 because it's 40 inches tall look it isn't even as high as my legs and as a result of that I've never been able to fit inside let me show you the extent of the problem okay you have to kind of thread your legs between the steering wheel and the Gili but there we go okay I've got my knees under the dash my feet are on the pedals but technically you have to say I'm not really in the car though it's kind of a fat peg in a small hole really happily however the new car is 43 inches tall which means I can fit inside and that means I can take it for a drive by very big tank no 17 and a half gallon you used all of that go around our track yeah so what does it do to the gallon then Jeremy oh sorry oh four miles to the gallon seriously four miles to the gallon Ford's say though that if I've been a bit more careful I might have got it up to 12 oh well you're not gonna be careful anyway look at it that's the whole point of the car and actually seventeen and a half gallon tank for four miles to the gallon hmmm how far does that mean you can go you'll be able to go in your car before you run out of petrol 75 miles 75 miles yeah well how far then do you live for instance from the Top Gear office 76 miles actually it gets worse than that because you know how he said oh I never want to get out of it James and I ought to think about this we don't think he'll be able to get into it let me demonstrate James come on in okay now let's assume this is Jeremy's GT parked in an ordinary multi-story car park anywhere you might see on an ordinary day and James has parked up perfectly sensibly next to it that's perfectly except that that is a very considerate piece of parking I've left Tony of space I haven't bashed this blokes posh sports car as I've got it not in any way so James got out of there no problem how are you gonna get in there for a start you left a leave you shop and behind because there's no no room in there at all you just open the door and you come and then and then you go possibly yes I'm sorry the door has got a roof yeah you know you've gotta go just what is he bored right I think what's happened here is his journey as bought a car II can't get into yeah if he could get into it you couldn't go anywhere because he'd run out of film and even if you could get there you couldn't take his briefcase because it hasn't got a boot you really hasn't thought it through no actually I mean let's just talk about this for miles no you see Jeremy that doesn't care no you're not in the car it's not really a driving because it's riders with your buttocks I just want to get back to this fuel consumption four miles to the gallon let me just get my header of this fuel costs that yang's it's a pound a mile in fear that's just in fuel do you know I was really really I thought was hilarious when they announced that it was gonna be delayed and he'd have to wait for his GT I thought that was great news actually it can't arrive quick enough and start ruining his life I can't wait I've got some old Jerry cams on my Land Rover you could strap those to it made with fuel it jealousy is a cruel mistress it's not as cruel as opaque yeah so if you seven you can go to bed now cuz the rest of the shows just full all right really boring grown-up stuff not all of it actually what we're doing the news now so that's the bit I'm thinking of you know why I know where this is going no time I'm gonna do it Oh God indeed the news and this just in from Vauxhall it seems that the back trailer doesn't matter because there's only one big bit of news this week and now Jeremy where are you come on in there's no we're gonna talk about it you will remember last week on top gear we saw Jeremy's new car whose Ford GT finally arrived he's very proud of it who'd like to see what happened when Jeremy set off home in it after the show that's a white decision to have a look at this now here he is you'll see he's not actually moving at all and there's a very good reason for that it's a day old and you push the engine start button what you'll notice here is look James is helping me try to mend it while I'm on the phone before this is man Hammond what did he do to help he went home I'll see you next week yeah yeah my little wooden Morgan functioning perfectly you look quite sad there my um and a bit cross it is and the crew were laughing to you not with you I want to know that you had to put the car away but it wasn't that bad because you did get transport home advances yes verso not quite the stylish exit you'd hoped for was no did you read in the papers this week about short people was in all the stories basically pushing bed and you're useless at work come on go get off the subject what was wrong it was the mobile at the cars fine okay it was the immobilizer you know they'll flip a thing wouldn't unenroll is the engine so it had to go back to 40 days yeah and then they fixed it and it's yes and then they brought it back and the night they brought it back two days later at three o'clock in the morning the alarm went off no then again at four oh when the next night at eleven wakes you up yeah and the kids yeah and the dogs yeah so this is when it gets really good okay I have to take it back to 40 so the alarm keeps blowing for no reason so on the way back it's got one of those tracker things on it you know where somebody steals it automatically sends out an SOS they rang the app the tracking people and said you car's been stolen no it's alright I'm in it so I don't know why they just rang me up and said your car's been stolen and what's your password I don't know well we're gonna and they can remotely shut the car down if you shut this down I'm gonna come there I'm gonna eat your heart password was so did he stop it no he didn't I finally got it back to Ford and then I picked it up again yesterday I'm not I'm not gotten it this money to come down here bring your car's been stolen it hasn't and then again and again honestly I've got the phone here okay I've got the phone they sent you a text okay when it's been stolen look at this okay read look at that theft alert the car was stolen at 8:49 I am 822 am stolen five times all the way down here this morning five times so they're gonna fix it an inch yes if you don't mend it I'm gonna bone your dog it's taken all the bones courtesy car didn't they yes they gave me a courtesy car and it is before it's broken I thought it'll be a db9 I mean though you know for donating Range Rover no it was a focus estate with a diesel engine two years weight from Focuses state diesel right James have you any more news anything to do with my Ford yes it's that time of year again time for This really makes me wonder about supercars, How much of the price is just brandname, heritage, and nostalgia? For how much they cost you'd expect super/hyper cars to be the cutting edge of engineering.

Common bud. It’s just the GT, the original was GT40, because it was 40 inches tall. This is a top gear forum. I’m so disappoint.
