This Mindset Let's Me Break 80 With a Bad Swing

all right hold one part five 480 yards just a smooth smooth driver if you want to consistently break 80 and lower your handicap this video is for you what a bounce we'd love to see that off the tree it's not like you burger All right well I have a mile left in so I'm just going to bang up a four iron there and try to make Birdie the oldfashioned way I'm a five handicap who has a swing of a 14 handicap and in this video I will be sharing my mindset which allows me to score way better than what my swing should allow me to not good all right got 171 from the right rck just a smooth knockdown six iron and hopefully put one close I will also share some of the easy things you can practice that doesn't take a lot of time or effort but will have you shooting in the 70s in no time all right guys so this is exactly what I'm talking about I don't feel pressured to get this up and down for par right now i' would be happy to get this on the green and two putut for Bogey and move on to the next hole so just got a basic little chip here going 54° and I feel confident I can make par still but I'll take bogey all day so tip number one is practice ractice your chipping learning how to chip consistently will lower your score so much should be even through one smart golf all right guys one of the tougher part fours for me on this course so I'm going three-wood this is the first time I've used this club in a while but once again I just don't care if I hit a good or bad shot cuz everyone hits bad shots so I'm going to do my best effort to hit a good shot and just get one in play you're not going to be the first person to top your three-wood and you're not going to be the last so just pull that club out and swing with confidence I love this club got 116 yards here just going off smooth 50° um if I didn't say it already we are playing lift clean place today cuz we did have a big storm yesterday so think it's a little long and a little right yanked it a bit all right guys 134 yards I would go nine iron but since it's a back pin I am just going to go pitching wedge because I don't want to be long so just a a good full confident pitching wedge it's important to note that out of the first few full swings that I've made today I've only actually hit one good shot so far going to be tough to make far from there all right I got a really fast downhill chip here just going 54° and once again just get it on the Green T putut if I make bogey it's all good you don't need to get it up and down for part every single time I thought it was going to be a lot faster than that I actually played that kind of how I wanted to but it's going to be a tough put for far sometimes just taking your medicine and getting it on the green and two putting for bogey is exactly what you need to be a singled digigit handicap not terribly mad at that but not bad bogey all right really tough part four here just going hybrid there's a ditch at about 265 so just staying well sure of that and it'll probably be hybrid hybrid Don't force the issue this is the longest part 4 on the course and I'm not even hitting driver I'm accepting that Bogie's going to be a good score in this hole so that's why I'm going with hybrid 212 yard got the hybrid just like I said should be a good one get around the green and I'm happy maybe short left but well it got the pin High it did it's just left all right here's Ty just left side big sloping green here keep coming not bad for a d that's not bad at all for a Duff shot Bottoms Up Baby I heard that guy hit the tree and that's all I can think I thought that might have distracted you all right short part four here just a smooth hybrid hybrid leaves to wedge in my hand so I was actually really nervous over this t-shot considering I had people I knew right beside me on the next t swing with confidence you're not going to be the first person to mess up in front of your friends I just can't I thought you were lined up a bit outside yeah it didn't feel like I was lined up that much and then it came off I'm like whoa that's horrible tip number two is practice your putting okay NASA that's huge really short par for here 277 yards to the flag I'm just going three-wood driver is not coming out for the rest of the today after all those little low Snappers I'm hitting so maybe get one on the front left of the green or just short I'm really happy you don't need to go to the golf course to a putting green you don't even need to buy a mat even if you have carpet tile hardwood floors just practice making a good stroke and knowing what a straight putt feels like the most ideal situation here but I'm going to try hit like a little low four iron up there and try get one on the green t now we got to get up and down for par that landed So Soft you could hear how squishy it was yep good all right guys 140 yards just a smooth nine iron not the best setup for me considering I'm pulling them a lot so anything on the green I'm happy okay well I heard a soft bounce which is good what there's no way that didn't go [Laughter] in wow dude I'm so happy I didn't yell buckets I was going to early walk it CU I loved it the whole way triple Boogie all right another short part for it here just go in five iron cuz anything longer than that gets really tight and narrow so just a five iron leave me a wedge in you're an idiot acknowledge the fact that I'm on the eighth hole and I'm only two over a par and I haven't hit one good golf shot that's not the H you want all right well I'm going to get a little cute with it I'm going to go left and try to hit like a little bit of a running hook and just try to get myself as close to the green as I can but completely blocked out here too much sauce Ty honestly that's exactly like I'm I'm very happy with that though that'll be okay yeah okay I thought i' been way deep all right Tai's over there it's got to go over this bunker to the green here mid handicap golf is not pretty it all comes down to your mindset and what you believe you can do around the greens that is unbelievable still two over two over now so nice par keep it rolling well I know I said I wasn't going driver anymore today but it's just two gettable of a par five only 460 yards so I'm going to try so hard to just rip a peelin slice over there that it came out down there I've never seen you do that that came up down there that's the worst shot I've ever hit in my life that's the worst shot I've ever seen you hit you want to see where that made contact zoom in on this look where I just hit that ball holy so we're not going to try to hit huge slices anymore okay we got to do this Justice Ty just drove the ball from up there hit the trees up here and now we're in position right here vo so and I'm going to I know in golf you should really pay off a big break by playing the safe shot but I'm not I'm going to now go with the super play I'm going to hit a low sliced 3w hopefully up into the Fairway and still have a good look at making Birdie on this hole you know that's going to be just running up the cart path I assume so that might be okay I'm happy another absolute toe ball shank but you know we're thriving well guys I got two huge brakes there uh I got 226 to the back pin here so I'm going full hybrid and if we could somehow Come Away with a par or birdie or even a bogey I'd be Thro so yeah Bogie's looking pretty good right now well this has been quite the whole guys I got about 150 yards left and I actually still have a good look at the pin so I'm just going to go with like a low running for iron and see if we can get one close to the green be perfect get in the hole get in the hole I think it just ran off the back that was pretty sick that would have been the ugliest birdie in history that's one of the better Bogies I've ever made I'd take it's one of the ugliest Bogies you've ever made yeah exactly why it's one of the better ones all right three over front nine got another par five to start off the back here doing what I should that on the last one and going Three Wood fine that was a strange ball flight yeah kind of a sky ball kind of I still hit it on the face so I only need about 140 yards to the dog leg right so I'm just going to hit a little low hook8 iron just like a stock shot for me dude I saw it go up there like through uh-huh it's up there it's like when you're hitting a hook you don't need to try hook it you know and I tried to hook that when I'm already hitting a hook so that was a terrible shot Ty yeah luckiest golfer in the world strikes again yeah I've never been more all all over the place in my life so I'm going at the tallest pine hammering a seven iron and hoping for the best we'll find out are these shots you'd expect from a five handicap probably not oh he's mad what's that double that's bogey that was for par you almost made par there wow that's disgusting well me and this ball have been through it today it's hit a Monumental amount of trees but we're still rolling 166 yards we are four over now not looking good so we need to get a good par here I'm going seven iron try not to hook one well I spoke that into existence keep those positive thoughts in your head and when you make mistakes like I've made a million mistakes today please just learn to laugh it off yeah you're off the green just kidding great shot TI for par so good banging in the back yeah hammer it in there well still four over I just realized I haven't hit a single Green in regulations so I don't know how many many times I've gotten up and down today but short game's feeling good another short par 4 typical out here so I'm just going six iron Leave myself a wedge in Nice Shot 124 yards to a very tucked pin over water so I'm going to just start one right at it and hopefully just kind of draws right of it 150° shot Tai's birdie putt great bre here you go nice bar all right still four over honestly the game's feeling good man we just got to keep working at it and uh got an easy par five coming up here so just going to try to hit another cut 3 wood we know how well that goes and uh try make a bird going to try and cut my three-wood here cuz it's quite a dog leg left but uh just good contact oh you'll be okay I don't I think I'm going to be right in front of that one tree now I don't think you can hit it that far with a three-wood burger think you're wrong I hope I'm wrong I couldn't be any more behind this tree so I'm just punching right back out into the Fairway and should have like an eight iron in great shot Ty 150 yards I'm right in between nine and eight iron so I'm going to just choke up on an eight iron and I'm a little bit long in the pin it's all good 68 yards I got 60 degree this is just a subtle reminder that single digit handicap golf is not pretty and it's not hard you just got to be smart about it and you can still score sit down not bad I am happy with a two putt there I should probably take more time over this but it's fine clean it up not bad bie all right guys 14th hole I'm five over now 177 yards I got seven iron draw one in there that's looking nice nice shot than good bounce even yeah that was a great bounce go not my greatest effort there but another par well not another one but I got a par all right guys whole 15 par 4 330 yards going four iron got to hook it around this tree cuz it's quite a sharp dog leg right so big old hook four iron perfect yeah I don't know how you do that me either that Drew so much all right 148 yards just a full nine iron keep drawing Nice Shot beautiful I love that that should be close I'm so happy that's the best shot I've ever hit I don't know with that it's got to go left up the hole I didn't hit it any I got to make a birdie man I haven't made a birdie yet today wow I've made three still beating you this s is usually a good birdie opportunity but with a front left pin it's quite a tough shot for me so 111 yards just a smooth 50 I'm really happy with that to be honest I didn't know what I was going to do so I went right at it did watch mine what that didn't watch mine angles CH not quite all right guys 17th hole just over 300 yard I got three wood did you nice I was just on the cart path so I took relief over here 130 yards I'm going to go like a knock down hook n get over the bunker Nice Shot just on the back that's not so bad it good pot thank you par yeah okay still five over going into the last hole 18's not one you usually expect to make a birdie on but see if we can do it last hole here guys so I got hybrid it's a sharp dog leg right but once again single digit handicap golf is not pretty I mean I've hit some of the worst shots I've ever hit today but as long as you have the right mindset you can still keep your score respectable and shoot good scores so that's so good love it all right 184 y 184 yards left and I got seven iron play my draw in there nicely it should be good go I think I'm short but dude I rinsed that a lot of good golf and a lot of bad golf was played on that 18
