THE SURVIVALISTS! *Brand NEW Escapists Game!*

oh man do I have something special for you today today I get exclusive access to a brand new escapist game that doesn't come out until 2020 and I'm the only one in the world can play it publicly it's crazy it's called the survivalists and it's basically the escapists taken out of the prison and into a deserted island you could think of the story now you just escaped prison you escaped on a raft you hit a storm I get shipwrecked on the nearest island and things try to kill you that's right things can try to kill you start with nothing and then you have to survive trained monkeys you have to find food you have to battle the evil wrongdoers of the island you can craft you can build it's a lot of fun I've already played a little bit but they've set me up with a copy of the game which is in development so some things might be a little bit buggy but hopefully we should still be able to play through it so that further ado let us play and check it out this game looks and sounds incredible by the way it looks way better than the escapists and i also need to try and remember how to play this so this guy right here is actually he's mine you start off with a monkey and if you think of monkeys as like the redstone if you were comparing it to Minecraft because what the monkeys can do is they can literally copy every single action the player can do so I can teach them to pick stuff up put stuff in chests fight people mine trees absolutely anything so let's bring up our crafting menu and the first thing we need is a hand axe which requires stones luckily there's a lot of stones around serious rabbit traps as well this is great watch me run watch me Rolly I'm a genius yeah think of this game is kind of like Minecraft mixed with I guess the game kind of like Ark and further in waves like some escapists as well and then that's what you've got so we need to craft this hand axe so let's craft this and then what we should be able to do is cut down these trees because the first thing we need to do is make sure we've got a really good wait that was the wrong way go this way fella there we go sweet so tours do certain things exactly like you do in Minecraft as well just chop this bad boy down we get bananas which is good because we can lens start to train our monkeys and then we get some words as well and every time you cross something on this you will get the next unlocks right next to it so we can now craft hay bales or straw bundles we can craft comfy padding ropes and a flimsy multi-tool which is gonna be the next thing that we can craft so we need some grass to make some rope which then makes the flimsy multi-tool so let's go and find some I think the grass is obvious yeah I think it's this right here so we should be able to use that yeah there we go to get some grass and I think we've got a good set of rocks right now but I know the right way around to do this so you don't run out of resources so it's punish these grasses oh look there's literally a cave right here as well I'm not gonna go in there because I don't want to die yet we need to we need to actually prepare for nighttime so now we should be able to craft string and what we want to do is we want to make a bed so we can sleep through the night we also want to make a better pickaxe a better axe probably a chest and also a workbench as well so now we can craft stone chunks tool handles and bowls as well but we want to make this we should have enough wood for this right so this should allow us to mine up rocks which are pretty valuable and then you can also give any kind of tools to any kind of monkey as well which is quite cool this is or so we're gonna need something better for that what do I need more of I need more wood so let's go and grab another tree real fast here we go let's chop this down with our hand axe other way fella come on there we go I think you can like do a super chop as well look at him he's powerful he's already king of the islands my axe broke subscribe the number one of those obviously you're starting out items and weapons are gonna be pretty flimsy as it says in the title of the of the tool but you gotta be able to upgrade them and make them out of better stuff let's grab this and then we also want to try and grab some stone as well because stone and wood are two of the most valuable things from the get-go yeah there we go but this is gonna wear down our hand axe quite a bit so it takes so many hits well we get four in return two rocks make a hand axe that's a pretty good return of materials oh you also have a stamina bar on the right as well and then you have your health bar on the left cuz right now you don't feel like doing anything because I didn't have enough stamina let me just grab these rocks let me get some resources and then we'll carry on so come here - at the same time as always actually really efficient like super efficient cuz then it's only taken up well like one bill no it's getting dark all guys are in trouble I hope nothing comes to attack me I think we're safe near the water I'm pretty sure so we've got a structuralist as well this is the flimsy bed we need to leave pads oh that good comfy padding weak actually make some of these let's make some straw bundles and as well this is the only inventory you've got you've got how many slots 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 slots that's the maximum amount of slots you gets you need to make chests as soon as possible because I'm already pretty much full then we also need some more of this string so grass is very valuable in the early game as well but I want now my man got here actually I think I can customise him oh here we go hard in a second look here's my monkey why you damaged your half-dead you know here we go there's two hares available right now and I think I can set the color so I'm gonna go what am I gonna go for let's go ping that looks good let's go blue shirt and kind of blue pants I think that looks cool so what you can also do is I think if it's in this version is you can change the monkeys color as well so you can kind differentiate between the monkeys in a future version of the game you'll be able to name them as well currently this man's called monkey 1 and he's gonna match my hair he's gonna be pink are you pink monkey you are pink look at him it's beautiful I got distracted what it was like was I doing I was crafting one of these I just need to craft two of these ah look I could make a makeshift bed sheet as well required to be able to use any bed to sleep in hopefully I have enough resources to make this bed because nighttime is real scary I don't like that I can't really see very well and look I've already like maxed out the stuff that I can pick up so I'm gonna do this I'm gonna go to beds have I got two of these yet I have not well what we were what is wrong monkey is that a warning sign why are you shouting at me alright let's make another one of these then we need to make the beds place it down and then we're good to go now I've just remembered what you need the multi-tool for because you can't just place down structures you have this blueprints kind of system which allows you to plan out your base before you create it so I'm my bed right here come out of this menu and go into flimsy multi-tool because the multi-tool is what we need to build it I need to adds the resources and then craft it up you can't just freely just cuz you got the items doesn't mean you're gonna be able to craft it and there's my beds I just need a bed sheet which what you think I can craft yeah I got enough palm trees for this I'm also running out of like hunger right now I'm half-dead so I need to be careful with that but I can pick up coconuts and eat them beautiful fighting fit I'm ready to sleep ah so you don't have to sleep at night either I think you can just roll forwards like in the escapists you can kind of like roll forwards the time look how content I look I'm relaxed I'm feeling great monkey how you feeling how you feeling buddy I think he's good so what do we need to work towards next we can get a wooden club we just get stoned chunks and tool handles so let's see if we can crop one of these used for hitting things it's great in boat but now we've done the bed as well we've unlocked for new recipes we have unlocked the straw wall the lightweight bed recovers lost health and saves progress oh yeah you only save progress when you sleep as well and there's also a campfire so we can cook food so we should probably craft one of those right now where should we put it let's put it down here away from the beds and then we're gonna use our multi-tool to craft it BAM so you can actually make it so the monkeys can craft stuff for you we've got bananas to do that and I will do that in a second but I want to try and teach you to cook and I want to make a workbench right now so the way this works is you add one piece of wood to light the fire also gives you light at night which is really good and then you can start choosing recipes we need flowers and berries and palm leaves with screwed berries for a smoothie we need I think those are flower petals coconuts and a palm leaf so let's go out and try and find some more stuff the main thing we really need is a lot of stone if you run out of stone you're in big trouble I think you can use the club to hit things as well let's make another hand axe and then when we get to the crafting table that means we can craft way more stuff so let's try and work towards that let's really explore now we've set up a little bit I think this is a really good spawn actually I think there's a map too I keep pressing the one bone I'm learning I'm still learning there we go here's my map so I can zoom in and zoom out like this and it only it shows what you have explored so far so if we keep in mind that we always spawned here with always be able to get home I think I've accidentally told my monkey to stop following me so if I press the left trigger I can get my monkey to follow and now my man should follow come with me sir my pink haired friend we're going off to find some more dye to cover our head we'll wait a second what's this oh no oh this is this is terrifying they've slain a man they slain a few men whoa out in a second what is going on in here I go in I don't think I can go in I think I can use some of this stuff though remember this game is early slag mass oh yes they have randomly generated names also all of these islands are randomly generated so no one will have two of the same islands as another monkey I think I contain this monkey with coconuts wait a second hey monkey come here come here I want to drop you no come here sir it's right if I put a coconut on the ground I tamed him I think I tamed him he didn't feel like taking all my coconuts buy think that man is now mine monkey number two what color do you want to be you are yellow monkey yes this is great I need to get some petals to make some food I think this is the way to get them or it's this actually it might be this give me petals there we go got some logs as well where's my other monkey gone Hey oh wait I think I need to get him to follow me hold on this and then I want to do this that should make them follow me right regard home friends come on this is great one of you is gonna be my crafter but for now we must sleep oh no I'm tired oh oh that sound that brings you back to the escapists and here we are home sweet home can we actually crafts I think we can craft something to eat which we probably should do so let's choose a recipe I think we can do this one two coconuts two petals and a palm leaf let's craft this add the ingredients and you do need a multi-tool to craft it still to mix it up it's a multi-tool so it can do everything work it buddy you got this BAM and there you go so this is always added to the campfire now so you either add more ingredients teach your monkeys as well hey don't be laughing at me we're all in the same boat here yeah if you want add something else is canceled and then beyond August to shard fish and a monkey meal awful smelling meal only a monkey would love so if you cheated me again buddy that's what you're gonna eat okay disgusting smelling food right let's sleep and then let's see what else we can craft because the whole goal of this progression is that you just keep crafting stuff and crafting stuff and the more you craft stuff the more you unlock to craft which is crafty I guess I want to eat mice fruit smoothie beautiful is tasty so to advance this grid we kind of need a wooden club to advance this or should we just do a stone just do a stone chunk it's way easier we should probably get a club as well but let's see what this unlocks we've done that well that doesn't actually unlock it I need to it I need some string I think I can craft this I should be able to craft the wooden club and then we can smack things so that we could probably go into the cave I think all right let's drop this let's pick up this and then we're going to cross this oh I'm ready how do we smacking people in no time there we go so let me just move some of this stuff across the switz way more easy accessible oh I've got a club whoa oh hold up I cut the moves right guys I'm going to dismiss you so you just stay here alright I think they just wander around I'm gonna leave some stuff here as well it should stay there so let's leave petals actually I might take the coconuts cuz those are cheap food now let's go into this cave so every single cave as well is procedurally generated which means randomly generated so that means when you go into a cave you don't know what's gonna be in there let's see oh jeez what is that something just came for me did you see it I didn't have my club out right let's go and smack things what was it yo it's the bat I just smacked it and killed it oh my goodness we got batwing meat scrap and a bone well that's kind of freaky I'm not sure how I feel about that I'm also picking up I think rocks so this is a really small cave but it has some rocks over there and it also has some or so we should probably work on this a pole crafting bench there we go and then the makeshift color which has a work-in-progress artwork so ignore that this game is still very very new what do you think so far guys let me know leave a like if you would like discover and as I said as they develop the game they're gonna give us more access and the only access in Z world which is crazy or how do I make this I need to of oh wait I got charcoal I've just realized I've got charcoal in my imagery now that's cool so that's a byproduct of the campfire nice obviously we need a chest right now so I'm gonna pick this up I need to craft myself wait mortar oh I don't know what that is because we've already almost filled this grid now that means that we need to craft the crafting bench so we can craft more so if I make another stone chunk I think I can craft this oh wait what do I need for grass I completely forgot right it's going to get some grass fellas let's get out of here here we go so look for these big bushes and these the ones all they do give you petals I thought they did so we need this grass stab stab stab stab so when we get the chest as well I'll show you how to teach monkeys to do things because what I can have happen I don't need to give you that give me that back no stealing Frederico that's your name for now but you can teach the monkeys to pick up everything here and put it in a chest it's really it's straight-up adorable I'm not gonna lie to you I need to string three words and two rocks how much wood do I have oh I need two more woods and in another tree there's another tree but all straight back washes here it's gross they almost live in a place where it's called backwash coming down see the monkey liked it we've got bananas from there as well that's awesome we live in false wasa the falsest of Wasa's right I think we've got everything we need now right crafting bench chew chunks three words to string I do not have the string yet I forgot to craft it embarrassing there we go two string crafted so let's drop the rest of our grass I've just realized that grass appear so I probably got a lot to pick up these two and then get ourselves a crafting bench let's put our work bench right here quit this menu and then we need to add the materials that means you just have to have them in your imagery you should find some food yeah one second one thing at a time we've actually got a batwing you can cook up some real nice meal with H I don't if I can just do that cuz I don't have the recipe I actually have to craft it with this stuff and then we have to catch all right you know what we'll craft this and then we'll get you some food buddy all right oh yeah look at my workbench choose recipe here we go bone club is unlocks wooden rod is unlocked and makeshift rug has unlocked dude okay I might actually be able to craft one of these soft with sharp edges average for hitting things yeah I'm gonna craft one of those what do I need string yeah I need string so I'm gonna craft that string real fast catchy I should craft that in the normal menu so don't want to use up the multi-tool for that don't make sure I don't do that anymore and then we need to cancel that thank you very much need to remember to cancel the recipes every time we're gonna make ourselves a bone Club this I've only got two bones ah buddy okay never mind let's save that for now let's quickly sleep I don't think this regenerates our health we do need one that regenerates our health actually maybe we can afford that one and that will save on foods lightweight vet oh wait wait wait chest I need one of these to string let's go and then I'll show you how to teach the monkeys all right ooh this monkey oops right let's go get some more wood and then we'll craft this chest and then I'm showing you how to tame monkeys it's amazing now forgive me if I'm wrong oh yeah you can you can hit stuff with the wooden club so it's not just for attacking you can also attack things and break things with it that's good okay let's make our self a chest shall we we are gonna put this right no way let's put it here right chest coming in here we go hand tool let's do this you can also teach monkeys to do this as well so if you teach them to do it then give them a hand tool they will then craft anything that you want them to craft anything in these crafting they will do so let's sleep real fast just to save the game just to make sure that we save our progress before we do anything crazy well 72 bananas to be able to feed to these guys actually want to sleep again just to make it so daytime that's annoying there we go waking up with a sunrise perfect now let's see if my monkeys are gonna do this so let's bring them to an Oprah and actually go over here so you only have a certain amount of time to teach them something so monkeys unite my friends orange monkey i T you okay apparently both you are being taught this I don't want both you to teach this though dismiss stop I only want to teach you you know Archie this is fine pick this up and then put it in the chest you ready this is how it works so now they will go and pick up all my stuff and put it in the chest automation at its finest they're going to grab it so they can't grab it one by one cuz monkeys don't you have little hands I have bigger hands apparently cuz I can carry all this stuff but now they're putting away all my stuff if I put it on the floor they're gonna put it away one by one until the chest is full which is so cool but how cool is that if you can teach them to do everything that you can do you can pretty much automate anything in this game which is awesome wait a second this man just talked to me I went off to get some woods for a little experiment and this guy talked to me this guy definitely talked to me you saw the speech bubble I'm watching you I'm so confused I think this is where we've been before isn't it those totems speak dude I'm sure of it weird so currently the monkeys are stacked on top of each other this rabbit is freaking out boy sir because yeah these monkeys don't know what to do cuz there's nothing on the floor but if I put sown on the floor he'll go get it it's so cute it's awesome I love it so I'm gonna make this multi-tool real quick and then this multi-tool is reserved for one of these monkeys just starving to death that isn't good how do I grab all of them that that and I think it's leave actually I might go to each one the monkeys to do this let's make this I don't want to die I really I wanna die is add these materials I don't know how I'm gonna make my monkey do this though I only want one of them to do it pink monkey you are the only one I want to do this there we go so teach one monkey to do this and once this is done look he now says that he needs a multi-tool so as soon as I put the ingredients in anything he will swirl it so let's do that oh jeez my monkey just stole my food give him the multi-tool and now he should be able to do things give me my food please I'm dying there we go that didn't actually do enough great um I think I'm gonna die here that's not good but if I add these ingredients to petals to coconuts and this my boys craft in it look at him go so we won't need to replace this cuz the durability of the tool will go down but my man my man right here is gonna craft it up for us and then the monkey will go pick it up look how cool this is a trained monkeys to do my bidding let me just add this again and then sleep I don't know whether to sleep while he's doing it I don't wanna break things I'm starving to death ok we're getting on it we're getting through it buddy so give me this drink this and we're back we're back not bad for my first day on the island huh so food is going to be a massive issue so he does all crafting this man's an absolute genius now I can just sit here and do nothing do other things ours is great so I wanna make the sticks because I think this unlocks like pickaxes and stuff is that right let me see cancel that what do we got arrows slats and Spears that is not why I was expecting oh wait it might be this oh I just used my wood up I need two woods and stones for a tool handle did you steal my stuff be right back friends need to go smack a tree so wood is actually really difficult to get in this game well not really difficult but you have to farm a lot of it to be able to get stuff okay you're exhausted I get it calm down sir come on down we should be able to make other items as well and then that leaves us free to be able to explore the rest of the island I want to find more caves on apply' more animals and there's some evil guys too I don't think that's a spoiler there's definitely evil guys here and I bring this tree down as well just short BAM oh that was a lot of stuff I don't want to do that we now have 99 9 hours as well bananas wait what's this message in a bottle you know quests for my crew only there's a rumored sturdy multi-tool in the dungeon in Isle of silent breaker we will go look for it soon but the storm grows strong so I think this kind of hints should be able to find cool stuff like the sturdy multi-tool for example it's also like a gold section up there which I have none of right now because I've only just been marooned on this island but that should be implemented sometime in the future we need to look out for this boat though and look for that chest to get a sturdy multi-tool that'd be so good Oh what is this one he wants a hand ax I told you these things talks I knew it I feel like I should go do that like right now I am gonna craft another multi-tool for myself and once give to the totem oh my goodness oh mighty totem I give you my hand axe the deal is sealed wait I can't open it why can't I open it can I smack it I can I think I need to smack this come on this better be good I gave you a hand ax which isn't actually that good but let's see come on one last thing don't worry about being tired on the last little smack but what is this oh oh oh just go go just get gold I think I just got gold hold up I just got something cool I think gold I did over 193 gold that's sick well sir I get a torch oh wait I do know about this so the torch you just collect I think you could place it actually I think abouts place it in the future but you can carry this round so now if we go into this cave we should be able to light it up now cuz I've got a like a permanent fixture and I think in the future it doesn't quite work now you can give a little to a monkey and then have it follow you around okay wait a second just need to deal with this bat real quick get smacked son now look we can see this is great I can actually see what's going down oh this is kind of spooky I'm not sure I like it so in exchange for a hand axe we've got some pretty decent stuff I can't really complain about that what was I doing oh it's making a tool handle wasn't I let's go here BAM make my tool handles square thank you sir we just need to watch out for him he is his hand cool breaking there we go oh he's gonna take that that's actually fine so that should increase no cancer oh I didn't mean to make sure oh I need to remember to get rid of the blueprint first what do we get that's the stuff torch and then a flimsy axe so we don't have to use a normal hand axe every time so we can actually make one of these without the crafting bench so let's do that and this is all the stuff that we've managed to make for actually helping us gather resources next up we can start working all this stuff - oh look a bigger chest but it needs hinges I think we're gonna need the four for that and then we've got all these to unlock as well I'll do this is I'm so excited alright let's make an axe real quick we have got a spare tool handle we need some string so let's make that I think it's time to eat you're always hungry buddy if we can make the better beds we can get some health back when we sleep all right let me put some stuff away to handle string and a flimsy axe so string one tool handle and a flimsy axe put this in actually I'm gonna go to sleep real quick just in case things break but we got we're doing all right with it really well what's also cool about this game is it is actually multiplayer but you keep the stuff that you get from someone else's world so say you go to someone else's world you've raid a dungeon you find gold you can split that between you and then bring it back to your single-player world how cool is that so if any of you played like fortnight's save the world it's exactly the same as that and i should be able to make this right now well my monkey can because I've taught him out to do it God pick care you've got this bro we have to grab this before orange monkey grabs it mine flimsy axe perfect and now flimsy pickaxe and flimsy shovel I'm not too sure that's for Diggs items out the grounds ok we'll have to work on that an average and mining we definitely need one of those because there are some ores down here that would really like to nab this guy's I think that's enough for now we need to make some more structures I definitely need to find out I can make planks by don't how to make nails and I think nails are gonna come from the Forge to probably crap one of those I don't actually know what that third item is I'm really not sure we also need some better foods
