This case is completely fucking insane! How big a fucking target do the cops have to miss before it is blatant?

I think some info should have been obscured by the editor of this video. Like the name of the poor guy who had his autopsy messed up by Garcia

edit: Garcia’s SSN is there too, lol

[Music] hey you and welcome my name is mike and in this whole video we're going to talk about a duck tur anthony garcia is his name and revenge is his game revenge best served on the cold side this case takes us to omaha nebraska which i think actually might be the first time we've been there so i don't know cornfields so the only thing i know about nebraska is this mug i have which has a farm a windmill thingy nebraska a tractor and tornado there you go nebraska this case started in 2008 and then reemerged in 2013 and much like the case of eric williams well you know was it worth it probably not let's get into it [Music] on the 13th of march 2008 in the lovely quiet neighborhood of dundee omaha eleven-year-old tom hunter was returning from a good old day at school just after 3pm at the home was 57 year old shirley sherman who cleaned the house every thursday now tom wasn't an only child there were four boys in the family two grown and one in university leaving tom the only one still at home that day tom's mother was in hawaii attending a conference and tom's dad wouldn't be back home for a few hours as he like tom's mother was a doctor working at creighton university hospital in central omaha he worked in the pathology department however when tom's dad dr william hunter finally did return he returned to a horrific scene boat his son tom and the housekeeper shirley were dead both had been killed with knives surely a grandmother of five still had the knife sticking out of her neck when the investigation began it was weird there were no signs of any sort of struggle no mess no fingerprints no bloody footprints or stuff like that nothing stolen but the murder weapon the knives did come from inside the house [Music] tom's dad william hunter was then interviewed by police his demeanor is a little weird but he was in shock when i came in i'm sure it was right there in the hallway between the back door for you so the first thing i i just said where's tom i think i yelled out calm do you have any idea who or why somebody would do something like this honestly i've been just racking my brain i mean i peaceful existence uh almost ridiculously simple have any patients that are upset with you absolutely okay that is done as far as i know all right honestly how about your wife i don't know i i mean usually not [Music] so the investigation on who could be behind this well the police were kind of stumped from the from the get-go nice neighborhood you know no known enemies that sort of thing i mean who would even murder an 11 year old boy in a housekeeper like what the [ __ ] was a random attack tom was a quiet sciency kid he got along well at school but he had one interest that piqued the investigators interest he loved his xbox 360. who doesn't i mean i remember playing the [ __ ] out of halo gears of war 2 doing lots of online killing and so the police began to wonder if some of his online killing had had some real world consequences teabagging can be a dangerous game even when the police arrived at the house after being alerted by william hunter the xbox was still on do you play around on chat rooms or anything like that that you might be nervous about i mean i don't know he's on his the only chat room i know he's on is wyville wyville is like a children's online game thing but it was his xbox live account that the police were more interested in we begin with an i team exclusive this child and the family housekeeper dead in a dundee home no suspects no arrests now we've learned lead investigators going online for answers using one of the victim's computers who was he chatting with and talking to online i mean you know username 360 noscope 420 you know you probably think it's it's you're playing another kid but you know it could literally be anybody including a homicidal media maniac and it turned out he talked to like 50 people online like with regularity so these are people all people of the police would want to talk to so that was one lead and another one was who neighbors saw that afternoon described as a male with olive complexion heavy shoulder bag and they were able to get a description of his car too with out-of-state plates this was put out but the investigation had to continue until they could identify this fella now a lot of the investigation focused on tom it was never really believed that surely sherman was the target i mean it occurred in the hunter home and she was just there you know like one afternoon a week just to clean so it wasn't likely a killer would be after her and get her there as time went by leads got thinner and thinner and suspects quickly became non-existent the police tracked down every single one of his xbox live contacts resulting in jack [ __ ] and so was the parents of tom doctors william and claire hunter who you know police began to suspect were they the real targets william was a member of the pathology department and he oversaw students coming through training so a disgruntled co-worker or possibly student became another lead however going through all of that the investigators ran into another dead end possible suspects ones who even may have had a grudge were ruled out they had an alibi at the time of the murders the family of shirley sherman ended up offering a reward of fifty thousand dollars for information they hired a private investigator but again this led to nothing new nothing the investigators hadn't already covered and so time passed a lot of time this weekend marks two years since the deaths of 57 year old shirley sherman and 11 year old thomas hunter both you want to say to be patient but how can i ask a family to be patient that went through something like this we've looked into the computer background regarding the computers at the hunter's house and thomas's access to computers and chat rooms and that leads us to a whole nother arena whether thomas may have chatted with someone maybe even the killer online that's one of the things that we're concentrating some of our efforts now just to find out if thomas was in different chat rooms communicating with people who it was he was communicating and communicating with and what those communications were like we're going to devote as much time effort and resources as we can to try and find out exactly what happened here and hold somebody accountable in may 2013 five years later something else happened i gotta check the well-being at 114 21 shirley street one one four two one shirley street says he went there to get a piano from an elderly couple the door was partially open healed for him got no response saw a gun clip laying close to the door he exited and is now waiting for you i'm gonna need a squad here i got two parties down inside one white male maybe 50 60 and a female party on the morning of the 14th of may 2013 piano movers arrived at a house in west omaha however no answer to the yale knocker on the ground and the porch they saw a handgun magazine not usually a good sign better call up the popo police and inside would be nothing good an older man's body was just inside multiple gunshot wounds and a stab wound to the right side of his neck another victim an older female was nearby she too had a stab wound to the neck unlike the first scene this time there seemed to have been some kind of struggle you know the dropped pistol magazine blood was around the place again knives were nearby knives which came from inside the home nothing was stolen no fingerprints or trail the police quickly came to the realization that this was most definitely probably done by the same guy five years though in the difference and so when the victims of the 2013 attack were identified this showed even stronger links to the previous attack still no answers for the father or for the family of dr roger broomback and his wife mary a piano mover discovered the couple dead inside their home near 114th and shirley tuesday morning police are being tight-lipped but they did say today their cold case unit is investigating this homicide's similarities to another double murder in 2008. omaha police did say friday the cold case unit is looking into a possible link between those crimes the man was roger brumback a doctor at creighton university hospital and he also worked at the pathology department same as tom's dad william hunter the woman there was his wife mary brumback but as quickly you know realized she wasn't the target they both had last been heard from a few days before on mother's day roger had actually been in the process of retiring from creighton and moving hence why the piano movers were there that day so two double homicides both linked to creighton hospital and not just the hospital the pathology department william hunter and roger brumback knew each other well crime scenes pretty similar all victims stabbed in the neck though a gun was involved in the second crime and also half a decade in the difference and not only that right four days after the brumback you know the investigation began into their murders another member of that same pathology department reported to police that someone had tried to break into their home it was on mother's day which is the last day that runbacks were heard from and she just happened to be out that day so it was like an alert on her phone uh just like a notification she wasn't there another person who worked in that same department somebody was after them too a special task force was set up to find the killer you know that was stalking not just the hospital staff the pathology department it seems and the focus of the investigation returned to well all roads lead to creighton hospital [Music] delving into the depths of the department try saying that three times fast they went back years into the personnel files all the way back to 2001 seven years before this case started and a name came up anthony garcia he had been a resident in the creighton pathology department had a complaint filed against him by the family of someone he did an autopsy on this was documented in an email from roger brumback to william hunter in which the body was found lying face down which markedly distorted the face this was completely unacceptable for anthony garcia to allow this to happen and william hunter was asked to investigate the incident as soon as possible before being terminated for unprofessional conduct toward another resident his termination letter had been signed by doctors william hunter and roger brumback and not only that while at creighton he complained to his chief resident and also he complained to dr william hunter about chandra butra saying she had insolent behavior and on many occasions she had humiliated degraded and insulted him [Music] chandra butra right was the person who alerted the police that someone had tried to break into their home around the same time the brumbacks were killed someone you know anthony garcia might also have a grudge against she learned of his complaint against her and wrote bill meaning william hunter well how many more documentations do you need i think we have enough good cause for immediate termination of a first year resident so she had a hand in his firing as well she also once gave him a very poor evaluation saying he was passive aggressive had very poor knowledge and lacked initiative and interest well he was certainly showing initiative and interest now anthony was just a uh seemed to be you know not an easy person to get along with he had previously been dismissed from other residency programs beginning with his firing from a new york medical residency in 1999 fired from other jobs being denied medical licenses in other states and after he left creighton well was [ __ ] out of creighton every time he would apply for a medical license a quick check with creighton university hospital would deny him one this happened seven or eight times the reasons for his firing the reasons he gives well he explains in a letter applying for a medical license in indiana in 2012 four years after he started his revenge i was essentially fired from saint elizabeth family practice residency when i worked there because i yelled at a radiology technician i was essentially fired from creighton medical pathology residency when i worked there because i called a pathology resident and told him his vacation was not approved i left the university of illinois in chicago pathology residency when i worked there due to poor health slash migraine headaches i was essentially fired from shreveport louisiana psychiatry residency when i worked there due to failing to get a medical license because i did not disclose the above information i did not disclose the above information to the states of california and indiana and withdrew my medical license applications i have medical license applications pending in the state of texas indiana and kentucky he like eric williams essentially had his career shut down by the very people he was seeking revenge against though in eric williams's case you could kind of argue that the people he was seeking revenge against they kind of got him fired for kind of [ __ ] reasons kind of screwed him over though that's that's not an excuse obviously but in anthony garcia's case he was just a [ __ ] doctor a [ __ ] pathologist he also owned a gun one that was actually randomly found on a highway 20 miles from his home that matched the magazine clip found in the brumback porch following his paper trail his credit card they also found he was in omaha the day of the brumback murders here he is buying a few suds and had searched for their address on his phone and so investigators traveled to terre haute indiana where anthony garcia lived however when they rocked up to his gaffe anthony garcia was gone they tracked his phone it pinged every 30 minutes and he was up in illinois driving north he was pulled over drunk as a skunk inside his car they found a gun bullets a sledgehammer and a crowbar but what they also found was an lsu lab coat and stethoscope he had worked at lsu for about six months before getting fired because uh you know his medical license wasn't approved so was he going back to lsu to uh you know were they on his list to when questioned about the omaha murders he showed up or shut down completely the police then searched his home in terre haute and although he had a ferrari outside whoa inside the place was a dump he spent all the money from his non-existent medical license on a ferrari appears his home was about to be foreclosed he was broke and on the table there were a load of insurance documents and that kind of stuff anthony garcia wasn't planning on being around too much longer though not in america too much longer it seems anthony was very sloppy too he more or less detailed his stalking on papers left at home and it seems he planned to flee to canada or to new orleans and out the gulf he was driving north when they got him so maybe he had decided on canada yeah this is a note they also found in his home [Music] police believe this is the face of a killer dr anthony j garcia he does fit the elements of a serial killer yes a raid this afternoon on his home in indiana looks for clues into the mind of an alleged killer a former creighton medical school resident fired by doctors here more than a decade ago arrested tonight for murdering the son of one of those doctors and the family housekeeper five years ago arrested for killing another creighton doctor and his wife in may arrested police believe before he would have killed again we did not feel this individual would stop unless an arrest was made when it came to trial it was pretty clear his motive was revenge his firing from creighton prevented him from working in you know medicine ever again every time he'd apply for a different job in you know medical industry i guess you know they'd be like oh many thanks for your application but unfortunately yada yada every time it would just come up they do a quick background check oh yeah he has no medical license he was fired sorry so he wanted to get back at the people who prevented him from getting his medical license dr butra dr hunter and dr brumback he couldn't get a doctor hunter so he got his 11 year old son he did get to dr brumback and he he tried to get to dr buetra but she just wasn't home at the time in fact the murders correlate to his employment history or rather lack of it the first double homicide in 2008 came just two weeks after he was fired from lsu the murder of the rumbacks happened six months after the indiana professional licensing agency denied anthony garcia's medical license now to the defense this was all circumstantial but during the trial the prosecution called a witness a former stripper who said that in 2012 well she can speak for herself i'm putting on my little voice and saying well dr tony i only like bad boys i'm a bad girl you couldn't you know you couldn't handle a girl like me and then that's when he told me he told me i wasn't as good as he thought he was he said i killed you before he said i killed a young boy an old woman see anthony garcia used to go to the strip club she worked at uh he'd go there a lot and he became very you know infatuated with her clingy but she wanted to you know keep him maybe at a arm's length a little bit it's like i kind of just work here just have to get my tits out you know it's a job uh anthony obviously didn't understand this so sh so she would be like you're a doctor i'm only into bad boys you're too good for me to which anthony i guess thought he would impress her by saying i'm not a good guy i'm i'm a real bad boy myself i killed two people yeah that'll impress her well it didn't impress the jury who found anthony garcia guilty guilty on all nine counts at 2 30 this afternoon those inside the courtroom hear that anthony garcia is guilty on all counts in the murders of thomas hunter and shirley sherman in 2008 and dr roger and mary brum back in 2013. prosecutors wanted to thank the detectives who never gave up on the case even when the dundee murders went cold in 2018 anthony garcia was sentenced to death all right thank you please be seated it is therefore ordered as the count won murder in the first degree a class one felony of thomas hunter on or about the 13th day of march 2008 the three paneled or three judge panel orders that a sentence of death is imposed upon the defendant anthony garcia thank you one interesting thing about this case is that the book pathological which documents this case by henry j cords and todd cooper it seems that garcia's name came up just days after the murder of tom hunter and shirley sherman just four days after a creighton university admissions official listed garcia and four other former medical residents as possible suspects then two months after those same murders in 2008 garcia's name and a grudge were more expressly mentioned when someone emailed detectives saying you know maybe look at garcia even tom hunter's dad the target dr william hunter also once briefly mentioned his name despite those tips being tipped off three times about anthony garcia there's no evidence the police ever followed up you know uh with him in five years you know i mean it was a case for months and it became a cold case they still never followed up with him tilly killed again but oh no it was an xbox guy uh video game violence ah the police would defend themselves you know saying they had received hundreds upon hundreds of tips they couldn't exactly follow up with each one but still it just goes to show you know any small thing you know no matter how small and insignificant something sees it could be the thing that cracks the case and this could have you know been solved before the runbacks were killed and uh betrayed dr butcher was almost killed welp that's the end of dr anthony garcia i think the message you know to learn here is that um if you ever get fired for being a [ __ ] doctor or just a [ __ ] person maybe you look at yourself first before seeking revenge just an idea thank you so so much for watching i really appreciate it i will see you as always real soon in the next video take care of yourselves
