and good works and let us not neglect our meeting together as some people do but encourage one another especially now that the day of his return is drawing near let us pray father we thank you in the mighty and the marvelous and the matchless name of jesus for this opportunity to worship you the bible declares that they that worship you must worship you in spirit and in truth so god we come to you thanking you for the blessings the new mercies for the breakthrough [Music] for the tender acts of love for the compassion that you've demonstrated to us all throughout this week thank you god for allowing us to see another day a day that we've never encountered a day that we've never seen before and a day that we will never be able to go back and venture into again so let us maximize this moment through celebrating your goodness your grace and your mercy by worshiping you in spirit and in truth bless and touch every worshiper that's dialed in that's tuned in that's focus in on this worship experience bless them in a special way let them know god that they are your handiwork and that you have purpose for their lives bless everything that's done in this worship experience every prayer prayed every song song as well as the preached word and every gift that's sown to advance your kingdom we honor we adore you we love you we bless your name and we give you all the glory for it into the word of god let us pray o savior teach me to abide close and sheltered at your loving side each hour i've been receiving your grace on top of grace and oh how i long to see you one day face to face the hour has come once again god we're preaching stands to be a pivotal moment in this service the bible tells us that men as well as women are saved because of the foolishness of preaching god i want to thank you for over 24 years of pastoring and 26 years of preaching i've been a fool for you so use me singularly to your glory to your honor and to your majesty have your way and we come against everything that the enemy will try to do to try to slow down or to bring about discouragement while this word is being preached be glorified and magnified honored lifted adored exalted and extolled for it is in jesus name that i do humbly pray and claim the victory for the saints of god might the redeemer of the lord say amen amen again beloved turn with me in your bibles if you don't mind turn with me in your bibles uh to the epistle of peter peter's letter first peter chapter one that's first peter chapter one and we'll begin reading that verse number three that's first peter chapter one beginning at verse number three and i'm reading from the new living translation of god's holy word you find these words recorded it says all praise to god the father of our lord jesus christ it is by his great mercy that we have been born again because god raised jesus christ from the dead now we live with great expectation and we have a priceless inheritance an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you pure and undefiled beyond the reach of change and decay and through your faith god is protecting you by his power until you receive the salvation which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see so be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead even though you must endure many trials for a little while these trials will show that your faith is genuine it is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold though your faith is far more precious than mere goal so when your faith remains strong through many trials it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when jesus christ is revealed to the whole world you love him even though you have never seen him though you do not see him now you trust him you rejoice with a glorious inexpressible joy the reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls amen beloved with the dynamic aid and the diligent assistance to include the divine anointing of the holy spirit i want to put a tag on this text and i want to preach for the few minutes that we have to share i wanna i wanna tag this text with a topic entitled the real deal the real deal grace mercy and peace be unto you my father's children we greet each of you my brother my sister we greet each of you in jesus name as well as in jesus joy the real deal beloved i'm a late 60s baby i was born in the year of 1967. and i came up in an era particularly in the 70s came up in an era where when we would get a leather coat we used to wonder if the leather coat was leather or if the coat was pleather and most instances when an individual would get a leather coat inside the coat there would be an inscription that said genuine leather genuine leather and we would uh back in the day when we were coming up we would joke if you had pleather or leather and if you had leather we knew that you had what we call was the real deal it was the real deal and if i were to fast forward into 2021 and we're 17 some 18 months within the confines of this pandemic and the gospel is being preached sunday in sunday out it's uh pastors bishops elders scholars preachers doctors reverends you name it we're we're doing what we need to do to try to get the word of god out and it is through the preaching of god's word that we we utilize the platforms of social media to get the word out uh using youtube and using facebook live and streaming and uh instagram live with whatever uh platform that's being used we try to use it uh to be able to declare the unsearchable riches of our god and one one of the things that i've noticed with with regards to social media beloveda and i talked about the real deal and if if you notice with social media for those of you who have a facebook or instagram account or whatever account you may have tick tock or whatever the case will be there are individuals who uh who look at your content and they spend time and energy glory to god uh making a fake account people's uh uh have had their accounts hacked and then you would have to go uh on social media to let it be known because the people who've hacked your account and and made a fake page uh have used it to try to get individuals to send them money and and then uh because i've had it several times uh beloved uh yes on instagram where i've had uh my account uh to be a fake page and then i had to go out and let it be known that it's a fake account that it's not the real account and uh that that because my account has been hacked uh don't follow the account report it uh so that the uh platform would do uh the necessary thing or take the necessary precautions to bring it down so that you could still operate if you will in your real account status because other individuals are out there making fake accounts on uh their behalf uh if you will to try to gain access uh to resources by using your content and and i guess what i want to suggest to you beloved that even in the midst of a pandemic while individuals are out there trying to uh gain fame and fortune you need to understand that when god made you yeah he broke the mold and you are the real deal you are if you will beloved uh fearfully and wonderfully made uh when god made you he made you in his image you are the real deal you had what it takes to be successful you have what it takes to be blessed you have what it takes for the favor of god to rest on your life and here the apostle paul excuse me the apostle peter peter writes this letter he starts off talking beloved at the outset he says i write this letter this letter is from peter i'm a i'm an apostle of jesus christ and i'm writing to god's chosen people who are living as foreigners in various provinces like pontus and galatia and cappadocia and and asia and bithania so he's writing to the saints of god peter is trying to encourage them and i want to suggest to you three things and i i won't hold you alone look three things the first thing i want to suggest to you can i preach this thing like i feel it beloved i want to suggest to you the first thing that peter uh wants us to understand when it comes to the real deal and that is beloved that uh when it comes to the real deal the real deal when it comes to your faith the real deal is that you are not ashamed to give god praise huh it's in verse number three he says all praise to god i'ma stop right there the real deal is that when you have been purchased by the blood of jesus and when you look back over your life and you look at where you are and you do an inventory and accounting of where you used to be and where you are now you are to give god some praise the bible says let everything that hath breath praise the lord he says look all praise to god the father of our lord jesus christ it is by his great mercy that we have been born again because god raised jesus christ from the dead y'all to start praising him right now online go ahead and put the if you will the clap hand symbol together go ahead and give god a praise in your house amen go ahead and set aside a space yes at the kitchen table or go into the dining room go into the living room go ahead if you don't mind yes carve out some space in your family room and give god some praise he says all praise to god the father of our lord jesus christ it is by his great mercy that we have been born again if you ain't been born again oh my god this message definitely is for you but if you have been born again go on ahead and give god some glory in your place because god raised jesus from the dead and because he raised them from the dead you now have what we call as a great expectation and the expectation is is that you have a priceless inheritance tell somebody it's priceless and yes it's a priceless inheritance because jesus was raised from the dead and god thought yeah it not to be robbery for him to stay down in the grave he raised them on the third day sunday morning because he had you in mind help me preach holy ghost it's a priceless inheritance oh glory to god not only is it priceless but it is pure it's a priceless inheritance that's also pure and nothing can cause your inheritance to change or become decayed and yet nothing can mess with it because one it's priceless too it's pure it's priceless because nothing can compare to it it's pure because i want you to know that god thought it not to be robbery to give you the very best when he allowed his son to be the suffering savior so somebody ought to be able to give god some praise this morning but not only is it priceless not only is it pure but you also should be praising god because your faith is being protected because of the power of god oh glory to god so so i i believe i got some folk out there who knows what it is to experience the power of god protecting you in the midst of everything that you go through and when you go through what it is that you've been through and when you look at what you've been through and you come out on the other side of what you've been through somebody to help me praise the name of the lord so your faith is the real deal and you don't hold back when it comes to praising god i believe i got a good 75 to 100 folk that ain't ashamed to give god some praise this morning and i believe because of everything that you've encountered and everything that you've been through and yet you're still standing and yet because of everything that's caused you to have some tears and cause you to have some sleepless nights and when you look back at where you've come from and you're still standing i believe that when the psalmist said let everything that have breath praise the lord you don't mind going on ahead and using that breath and letting god get that praise so one the real deal points to your praise it lets us know that you shouldn't be ashamed but then secondly the text points to us that when it comes to the real deal that yes the real deal should make you want to praise him but the real deal also lets us know that we will encounter some problems look look right around verse six and seven the bible says so be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead even though you must endure many trials for a little while these trials will show that your faith is genuine it is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold through your faith it is though your faith is far more precious than mere goal so when your faith remains strong through many trials it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when jesus christ is revealed to the whole world i want to suggest to you beloved that the real deal lets us know beloved that we will and shall encounter problems we will we shall encounter problems as a matter of fact he says what i need you to understand is that with these problems that you go through one that your trials will show that your faith i want to suggest to you your problems is nothing more than a demonstration that god is still with you in the midst of it all but not only is it a demonstration it's a demonstration that brings about authentication he says these trials will show that your faith is genuine it authenticates yes i go through problems i believe i'm speaking to somebody right now that's out there that has gone through some problems and in this pandemic you've gone through some stuff that's that's caused you to probably have some sleepless nights you've lost some loved ones you've had some friendships that might have been fractured you may have had some moments where you had more money than you you had more month than you had money oh you you may have had a situation that you've had to deal with an addiction you've had a situation where you may have had an affliction but through every trial yes the problem that you've gone through is a demonstration that your faith has been authenticated and because your faith has been authenticated it is a revelation that jesus christ is on your side and because you've gone through the demonstration which is an authentication process that brings about purification and shows the revelation of christ because this is what peter says he says look when you go through your trials when you go through the things that will test you it brings about yes the trials bring about if you will yes your the trials bring about your uh purification because the problems go through the purifying process just like gold is purified and your faith comes out looking like that you have had christ with you while you were going through what you were going through here it is look look he says he says it is being tested as fired test and purify as gold though your faith is far more precious than gold so when your faith remains strong through many trials and i believe i believe i believe i believe i got somebody who can help me testify come on and help me testify out there who can suggest that pastor i know what it is that you're talking about because i've had some sleepless nights i've had some heartaches i've had some heartbreaks but yet through it all i still place my faith and my trust in god and because my faith and my trust are in god yes my problems are not as great as what i had imagined them to be the the deal is this god is bigger than my problems and i can look at my problems and say problems you're just nothing but a stepping stone to what the glory that's on the other side of what you have taken me through therefore i'm going to give god more praise in the midst of my problems so the real deal is yes i'm not going to be ashamed to praise him i understand that i'm going to encounter problems but yet my problems all they do is make me stronger but then thirdly and lastly i want to suggest to you beloved that when it comes down to it that the real deal points to the power of his presence because in verses 8 and 9 the text tells us you love him even though you have never seen him i won't suggest to you beloved the joy of the lord is your strength can i get a witness yes the joy of the lord is your strength and because the joy of the lord is your strength i need you to understand that his presence because there's fullness of joy when we are in his presence and and peter writes you love him even though you've never seen him and though you do not see him now you trust him as a matter of fact he says you place your confidence in him see see the the apostle peter is literally referencing what his comrade and colleague doubting thomas had experienced thomas was not there when jesus had returned from the grave and then jesus returned a few days later thomas said i'm not going to believe until i see it for myself and jesus came back after thomas made that declaration and he told thomas he says uh go ahead and touch my hands and and touch my side you can you can see it you can feel it for yourself and he told thomas he says you know what thomas you believe because you see he said but blessed are those who believe and don't see and and peter says you love him though you have never seen him and though you did not see him now you trust him uh if in order to have trust it means to place your confidence and and you many of us place our confidence in a god that we don't see but the bible tells us that god is a spirit and they that worship must worship him in spirit and in truth i'm done beloved i'ma let you go i'ma let you have the rest of your day because the real deal is beloved you need to be you need not be ashamed to praise him and you need not allow your problems to consume you but you need to understand that the power of his presence makes a world of difference and because you got the power of his presence yes you have confidence in knowing that your situation is all right and even though you've had some problems and you've had some yes some moments along this pilgrimage that that you probably might have wanted to throw in the towel and yes because you might have wanted to throw in the towel your faith wouldn't let you do so and because your faith yeah wouldn't let you do so it's because of the fact that you trust in him to know that if he's done it before he can do it again and here yes it right around if you will closing out the eighth verse going into the ninth verse and he says and you rejoice with a glorious inexpressible joy he says the reward for placing your confidence in him will be the salvation of your soul and i want to suggest to you beloved that the power of his presence causes you to have confidence to know that everything is gonna be all right but it also places you to be able to go ahead and celebrate yes despite the fact that even though you can't see him yes and even though that you've been through some problems that your problems are nothing more than mere stepping stones to help you see that the power of god is getting ready to move in your situation so good morning good afternoon beloved and may the lord god bless you real good and yes go ahead and take this time and take this opportunity and let the lord have his way because i need you to understand that we serve a god who is the real deal yes he's the real deal because yes yeah he he stepped out and said let there be and when there was nothing something became yes something out of nothing because our god is the real deal i want you to know that our god is the real deal because he had us in mind when he sent his son through 42 generations yes he was born of a virgin can i get a witness and not only was he born of a virgin yes but through coming through forty and two generations help me preach holy ghost he he ministered to people who had problems to let them know that yes the kingdom of god is right here and when you experience the kingdom i am the personification of what the kingdom is all about so my brother my sister hang on in there because yet the real deal is in live and in living color can i get a witness how many of you know that the god that we serve is a real deal holy field god can i get a witness help me preach lord hey is there anybody out there who knows that our god will be able to blow your mind and show up in your situation to remind you that yes as the apostle paul says in ephesians 3 and 20 he says that our god is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask and think that's because he's the real deal he's able to wipe every tear from your eye he's able to make your enemies your footstools can i get a witness he's able to let you know that yes he'll give you joy in the midst of your sorrow and he'll give you hope for your tomorrow he's able and hang on in there because he's the real deal let's pray father in the name of jesus we thank you for this preaching privilege this opportunity that you've afforded us we thank you lord for every worshiper who
