all right welcome back I'm Robert breaker and today's video is on the subject of the body of Christ today we're going to look at the body of Christ I want to look at this topic because I've been getting a lot of emails people ask me questions about this and I haven't done a video about this before I have talked about a video on this and I believe I remember correctly the title was what is the body of Christ you can find that at the cloud church or gif you'll just go to Bible topics and I believe it's they're talking about what the body of Christ is it has a lot of good information in it and I believe that's a good video to watch well still a lot of people have been emailing me and asking me more and more about this and say would you please talk more about the body of Christ we want to know what the body of Christ is could you explain this to us so I thought you know what I'll do today I'll take it and show you the four theories about the body of Christ and I'll show you which one is right and why the other three are wrong and so that's what we'll do today let's start with first Corinthians chapter 12 and verse 27 and here in first Corinthians 12 27 we read ye now ye are the body of Christ and members in particular here the Apostle Paul was speaking and he says ye who is that all of y'all as we stay down south all y'all everybody that's saved is a part of the body of Christ I'll right up here our little timeline like I do every week and looks like I'm gonna have to get another marker because that one's going out and we'll look up here at what the body of Christ is and I want to explain this because there's some confusion on this some people are dead on then right what they teach about the body price other people are dead wrong they're way off about what they teach on the body of Christ so when we go to the Bible we approach it we need to make sure that we preach correctly the doctrines of the Bible so it have preached to you correctly what the body of Christ is and that's what we'll look out now this over here if you remember our timeline after the rapture this arrow represents the rapture the tribulation and then Armageddon is this arrow and then of course here is the millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ we're going to focus in on this period the church age today and according to the Bible according to the Word of God the body of Christ is you who are Christians so those who are saved make up the body of Christ the body of Christ consist of people that are saved we read four times in the Bible there's only four times that the phrase the body of Christ appears so four times is the words the words used together in the body of Christ we look at a couple of those places but the body of Christ is saved people so people who are safe who are born again who have trusted the gospel of first Corinthians 1504 they are a part of the body of Christ anybody let me rephrase that anybody who got saved after Jesus died is a part of the body of Christ I make that distinction as you will see here in a minute why that's so important so what is the body of Christ let's go to Colossians now and I've got so many verses to go through so we've really got to hurry but I want to present this because uh no doubt you'll probably come across some people that teach something different about this I've had several people email me saying you know I found a good church that preach the gospel like you do but they're saying something about the body Christ it's different than what I'm used to hearing from you and such people many call them hyper dispensation listen you got to watch out for them there's some great wonderful people ones that I met they're nice people but they believe the body of Christ is something different than what the scriptures say so we've got to make sure we rightly divide the word of truth and let's let's make sure we figure this out so I'm going to show you what the body of Christ is today according to the Word of God Colossians chapter 1 and verse 23 and 24 Colossians 1:23 and 24 the Apostle Paul says if you continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven where I Paul am made a minister so Paul is speaking he's telling us important it is to hear the gospel he says he's preached the gospel verse 24 who now rejoice in my sufferings for you and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake which is the church so it's talking about the body of Christ and he says the body Christ body is the church now you cannot get around that and that is just it's as simple as it can be the body of Christ is the church now let me show you same passage Colossians 1:17 through 18 Colossians 1:17 and he is before all things and by him all things consist it's talking about Jesus Christ verse 18 and he is the head of the body , the church who is the beginning the firstborn from the dead and all things that he might have the preeminence so Jesus Christ is the head of the body twice and the same pash pass passage it says that the body of Christ is what the church so the church what is the church the church is everyone it's been saved from right after Jesus died up until the rapture that's the church so everyone who's saved is a part of the body of Christ that's what the Bible teaches so the body of Christ is the church and the church is the body of Christ how do you get into the body of Christ well you have to be saved you have to get the Holy Spirit Oh God let's go to first Corinthians chapter 12 so if you're not saved if you don't have the Holy Spirit then you're not in the body of Christ the way to get into the body of Christ is to get the Holy Spirit and to be saved how do you get saved by hearing the gospel we're going to Shep twelve verse 13 the Bible says for by one spirit are we all baptized into one body whether we choose our Gentiles whether we be bond or free and have all been made to drink into one spirit all right notice what it says it says we're all baptized into one body now some people read that passenger to say yeah what about physical puts us into the body no no no no no no did you read it did you read what it said for by one spirit are we all baptized into one body this is the you'll baptism this is what takes place when you get saved you are baptized with the Holy Spirit the very moment that you believe and that what takes place at salvation is when you believe the gospel you are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ you become part of the church the body of Christ everybody that's saved the Bible's very clear about that as a matter of fact at the same time you're sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise let's go to Ephesians Ephesians chapter one verse thirteen one of my favorite verses pieces 1:13 because it's such a great verse on internal security Ephesians 1:13 says and whom he also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth the gospel of your salvation it also after that you believed you were sealed with that holy spirit of promise so when you get saved you are sealed with the Holy Spirit we spell sealed right you are sealed with the Holy Spirit and you're also baptized with the Holy Spirit and you're baptized into the body of Christ I'll abbreviate it and the BOC in the body of Christ so that's what takes place at the moment a person is saved the Holy Spirit of God comes inside them sealed them and they are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ which is the church so no one is in the body of Christ that is lost the body of Christ is saved people now what I'm teaching today about the body of Christ was part of a mystery that was revealed to the Apostle Paul Paul had some mysteries revealed to him if you want to have a good Bible study go to youtube and look up my videos about the seven mysteries of the Apostle Paul God used the Apostle Paul and gave him some mysteries and some revelations well here is part of that mystery Colossians chapter 1 verse 26 through 28 I read Colossians chapter 1 verse 26 through 28 and it says Paul speaking even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations but now is made manifest to his Saints to whom god would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles which is christ in you the hope of glory so part of the mystery of the body of Christ was revealed to Paul was that when you get saved you have Christ in you that means the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of Christ dwells inside of a believer we call that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit comes into you and is sealed inside of you when you get saved this is part of the mystery but that's not all of the mystery read the rest of the verse here Christ in you the hope of glory verse 28 who would preach warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus so when you get saved Christ is in you but you are also in Christ how are you in Christ you're in his body so being saved is being part of the body of Christ and yet you have Christ in you and you are in Christ that is the great mystery that God revealed to the Apostle Paul is the mystery of the body now let's go to Romans chapter 12 I've got so many verses to give you today but I want you to see what the body of Christ is it's all believers the body of Christ is made up of all those who have been saved Romans chapter 12 verse 4 and 5 for as we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office so we being many are one body in Christ notice what he says that we are one body in Christ and every one members one of another so we are in Christ if you go through Paul's epistles you'll find over and over and over this is something that Paul always said in Christ in Christ in Christ why because that's part of the mystery that was revealed to Paul that when you're saved you become a part of the body of Christ and you work in Christ but you're also indwelt with the Holy Spirit because Christ is in you so this is an amazing teaching to being in Christ now Paul is always saying in Christ in Christ in Christ what does he mean by that he means your in the body of Christ first Corinthians chapter 1 of our story let me show you another place there's so many places we're polling about being in Christ 1st corinthians 1 and verse 30 here the apostle paul says but of him are ye in christ jesus who is of god who of god is made unto us wisdom righteousness and sanctification and redemption so we are in christ jesus when we're safe say corinthians five probably one of the best verses to remember the memorize about salvation instead Corinthians 5:17 we read therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold all things become new so when you're in Christ you become a new creature now there are some people out there that don't believe in eternal security they say well you can lose your salvation how can you lose your salvation it's salvation is a new birth it's being born again when you're born you're born you can't go well I wish I was unborn and just get unborn you become a new creature in Christ and the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in you and he says he's sealed inside of you until the day of redemption when is the day of redemption it's the rapture the redemption of your body you see your soul is what it saves when you get saved but your body is not and so the Holy Spirit is inside of you sealing you till the rapture and it will not leave you are saved and have eternal life you become a new creature in Christ so you can't lose salvation because you're in the body of Christ when you're safe is Christ going to cut off his hand cut off his foot cut off look out his I know the church is part of the body of Christ Christ is not going to cut off his body if someone's in the body of Christ they are saved and eternally secure in Christ so when a person gets saved they are made a member of the body of Christ that is their part of Jesus's body which is what it's the church so the church consists and is made up of people who are saying that a lot of people think oh the church will that's that building over there where all these people go that's a local church that's where a group of people meet together not everybody that meets there is a believer you go to any church in America not everybody inside of that church is saved in fact many of them are lost they're going to a group and meeting together but they're not saved so the body of Christ is everybody that is saved that's what you got to get a hold of everyone that is saved is a part of the body of Christ now there are four different teachings on the body of Christ that I want to show you all and four of them show you which ones are right and which ones are wrong because I want you to get this teaching of the body of Christ so four teachings about the body of Christ and the reason I'm teaching this is because there are some people that are messed up on this and these people if you ever meet them you'll know exactly who they are because all they want to do is talk about the mystery of the one body the one body one body let's talk about the mystery of the one body and all they ever do is talk about the body of Christ that's all they ever preach it's like that's all they know and they don't know any more of the Bible and yet they don't even know that correctly because they don't follow the scriptures so I'll try to explain that and there's other people that many have labeled hyper dispensationalists in many of asking what's the hybridization well I will try to get into that but I want you to see the true teaching of the scripture of the body price so that you don't get mixed up with other people that teach something that's not correct okay so before teachings at the body of Christ number one is it's only the local church all right I'm going to go ahead and write them all up here and then we'll go ahead and look at them all number two teaching about the body of Christ is it's all saved people this is the correct teaching everyone who is saved is a part of the church the body of Christ so the body of Christ is all save people the other one is the body of Christ started with Paul's this is what your hyper dispensationalist belief sure if you spell that right and then the final one in the body of Christ is all saved in entire Bible let's see how I can correct number two is all save people in the New Testament I guess we could say are under the New Testament in the church age yeah that's what we'll put it's also people in the church age okay here we've got four different theories four different teachings that are taught today in many different circles many different churches and denominations on what the body of Christ is and there are some churches and many of these churches we call breakers we call them the brighter churches many of them are Baptists they're all they're called old landmark churches and many of them believe that the church when the Bible talks about the church it's only talking about the local church and they believe that the local church is their little building with their little people in it and they say this little building where we meet together this is the body of Christ and that's it well that's true what about the building over there in the next town where they meet they say we are the body of Christ okay so are there two body of Christ and then what about the next town they say well we are the body of Christ and then the next nail will we and these you've got four different bodies how many bodies are there we read the verse that says there's one body so they take that the body of Christ is each local church all over in different cities and towns all over the world well then Jesus Christ has many bodies if that's what they're teaching they believe that the body is the Bride of Christ but they believe that each one of those churches is Christ bright so is Jesus a Mormon is deceit a polygamist and Jesus Christ have many different drives how many wives did Jesus have so what is it talking about is it talking about the local church being the body of Christ or if it's speaking about the body of Christ being everybody that's saved that ever lived that got saved that's what it's talking about that's what the Bible is saying I'm I read run-ins with people like this all the time when I was in Honduras I came across the pastor who wasn't Baptist brighter and he and I we sat down for a while he says what do you believe about the local church and I said well I believe that's a good thing to have a church to go to and where people can come together to meet but the church according to the Bible is everybody that's ever been saved they're a part of the body of Christ called the churches and you're wrong the body prices night ripped right here and I said well your church is the body right well how come you can you prove that so he goes to first Corinthians chapter 12 and he read me the whole chapter and he says see that chapter there is talking about on all the church being a body together and everybody in the church working together as one body and he said so that means that the church is up just the local church there's no such thing as the universal Church now this is what people can do okay when I'm talking about the local church I'm talking about this little area that has this little church building in one place that's called a local church because that's a body of believers meeting together in one place and you know what they don't have to have a building there there is no building in the Bible by the way in the Bible they always met in houses that's called the local church but the body of Christ many people called the universal Church now I don't like that term because it's not in the Bible the early Christians that were saved they used to call the body of Christ the church the church triumphant or the triumphal church whatever you want to call it the body of Christ is all save people that's what the body of Christ is it's not just some same people in one place in one local area it's everyone who's saved is a part of the the church triumphant the universal church and like I said I don't like the term Universal because the Catholics they use that they say we're the universal Church and the Catholics have bad doctrine in a lot of what areas they're preaching something that's not Paul but the body of Christ is everybody that was saved from when Jesus died all the way to the ranch now people say well the Lord Church means called out assembly where is that called out assembly where right where is it they say they called out assembly is the local church in one area well I'll tell you where it is the book of Ephesians says we are seated with him in heavenly places everybody to get saved is already seated in heaven as far as God's concerned how's that for eternal security we are already seated with Jesus it I'm here talking to you but the Bible tells me I'm already sitting up there how well because I got the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit sitting up there so I have the Spirit that's sitting in heaven even though I'm alive down here I'm still up there and spirit because I'm saved and I can't lose it so in that a blessing so the Bible is talking about the body of Christ now notice what it says in verse 4 it gives 12 it's talking about the body of Christ and how members in particular and so these people say so it's only talking about the local church and that they buy and you know a lot of people call that a body of believers but is that what the Bible is speaking of when it's talking about the body of Christ well I tried to show this brother in Honduras this pastor that the body of Christ is all save people and he says no first Corinthians 12 was talking about the body and it's talking only about this local body it's not everybody that's ever been saved throughout the whole church age and I said well dear brother would you turn to me to the book of 1st Corinthians chapter one and verse one and two because he tried to tell me that Paul is only writing to the Corinthians here so he's writing to the local Church of Corinth and he said this local church of Corinth they are a body well I tried to show you already the verses that there's only one body according to him there's two bodies I started the church in under and so there were two bodies right there and that one says it's a family no there's one body of Christ it's all save people there can be many bodies of believers meeting in different places in different church buildings but they are not the entire body of Christ the entire body of Christ is all save people so I said once you turn to 1st Corinthians and let's read to whom Paul is writing 1st Corinthians is first corinthians only written to the Church of Corinth and that's it well it says there in verse 1 Paul called the Apostle Jesus Christ in the will of God and Sosthenes our brother verse 2 unto the Church of God which is at Corinth to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus called to be Saints and then the pastor said see I told you he's only writing to Corinth and so that's the body of Christ in each church is its own body I said brother did you did you let me finish what is the rest of the verse say with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord both theirs in art so the book of Corinthian does not just written to the local church of Corinth it's written to all in every place that are saved so the body of Christ is all in every place who are saved and that's what the Bible calls the body of Christ the what church okay so with that stated let's look at some verses Ephesians 4 for you see there's many different church buildings in different bodies of local churches throughout the world but when the Bible says there's one body it can't be talking about that because there's many of them so it's talking about the body of Christ being everybody who's saved they are the body of Christ as a whole Ephesians 4:4 says there's one body one spirit even as you are called in one hope of your calling the Bible says there's one body there's not hundreds there's not thousands there is one body if he's a shepherd to verse 16 and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross Colossians 3:15 so how many bodies are there the body of Christ is one if you say the body of Christ only applies to the local church then you have many bodies of Christ because there's many local churches so it must be talking about all door safe make up what we call today the church which Jesus calls his body the body of Christ Colossians 3:15 says and let the peace of God rule in your hearts to the which also you're called in one body and be you thankful so there is only one body and it is all saved people the body of Christ is and everyone who say so these people that say the body of Christ is only the local church we'll then they're wrong aren't they your church let's say you go to a church and you go to a building you can refer to that as your local body of believers but that's only a part of the body of Christ in one little place the body of Christ is made up of all these believers in all these different local churches in all these different places over the entire world everyone that's saved is a part of the body of Christ so that's important that we know so we have to watch out for these people these bright earth that try to say well the body of Christ is only our church and exclude everyone else the second teaching about the body of Christ is is all save people in the church age this is the correct teaching let's look at some verses on this ephesians chapter 5 ephesians chapter 5 in verse 23 for the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church and he is the savior of the body and I will continue here but I just don't have time I'd like you to read this passage he's talking about the marriage relationship and it's saying that Christ is is like the husband in a marriage relationship and it's saying that the woman is like the church or the body of Christ and that's the wife so the church the body of Christ is what it's like a bride and that's what the Bible calls the body of Christ the church it's also called the bride now I don't have time to get into that today many people like to email me and argue with me and say when you're wrong the bride is something else the body of Christ is not the bride well what do you do with the vision's chapter 5 that likens the body or the husband and his wife unto Christ in the church Christ has a body when you get married the Bible says you're one flesh what does that mean you're one body so I'm not going to go there I'm not going to argue with people but the Bible is very clear that the body of Christ is the church and the church is like the variety in the marriage relationship in Christ at the head of the church he is the savior of the body so they're one flesh so as we are one flesh when we get married with our lives or if you're a woman with your husband all the Bible's teaching that the body of Christ is like one with Jesus Christ so the body of Christ is the Bride of Christ so I believe that the body of Christ is all save people everybody that gets saved in the part of the body of Christ and the Bible says that we are the Bride of Christ that will have time to go into that today but the correct teaching is that the body of Christ is everyone who is saved now let me show you why that's true because here we get to the third one the third one here in the third one there's a group of people out there today that will go around and they will tell you that the body of Christ did not start with Jesus Christ even though we just said that he is the head of the body and he's the head and that means he's the start there's a verse in the Bible that says he is the beginning but there is a church out there that claims to be Marines and Bible believers but what they do is they take this as the body of Christ so to them the body of Christ is everyone who got saved from Paul - today so they exclude the early apostles and they say no Paul was the one that God revealed the body of Christ to so they say with Paul the body of Christ was started well they say and they believe that the body of Christ and only saved Gentiles and they'll tell you many of them that there aren't any Jews in the body of Christ that the body of Christ is only Gentiles now is that true is that a biblical teaching did the body of Christ start with the Apostle Paul and is the body of Christ only save Gentiles I don't believe so I do not believe that that teaching is correct those people are what many have called hyper dispensationalists what they do is they rightly divide the word of truth to it to where they believe in this concessions but then they hyper dispensation lies in other words they they make an extra dispensation that's not even a dispensation and they cut up the Bible so much as they divided they overly divided and then they try to make Paul the first one in the body of Christ what about these people what about those Jews that got the Holy Spirit you see we already read that by one spirit are we all baptized into one body well the Apostles doctrine was very different from the doctrine of Paul that cannot be denied old Apostle Peter at the beginning in the book of Acts in acts 2 he's going around telling everybody to repent be baptized in water and notice what he said then you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost so there were some people that got the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost in the early book of Acts well doesn't that put you in the body by one spirit are we all baptized so when they got always spirit that's when they were baptized into the body they just didn't know it so is that what the Bible teaches will bill say no no only Paul was the first one in the body of Christ okay what does it mean to be in the body of Christ it means you're in Christ alright let's look at some verses let's see if we should be hyper dispensationalist or not here we have the appall pop of the Apostle riding in Romans chapter 16 and verse 7 in Romans 16 7 the Apostle Paul says salute Andronicus and Junia my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners who are note among the apostles who also were in Christ before me oh wait a minute I'm not looking too good for these hyper dispensationalist they say Paul is the first one in the body of Christ well here Paul says there was someone in Christ before me what does that mean well that means if someone was in Christ before Paul then that the body of Christ started with guess who Jesus and he was trying to form his body with the early apostle someone got saved and put into the body of Christ before Paul because being in the body of Christ is being in Christ so you gotta watch out for these people that run around and say well you know here you're so wrong the body of Christ starts with Paul wait a minute the body of Christ was a revelation given to Paul that much we know and it wasn't given till about right here but when God revealed to Paul the mystery of the body what the body of Christ is he told fall then you know what Paul that body started over here with me so there are people in the body before you now that will make a hyper dispensationalists head spin and explode because they don't believe that they won't believe that well let me show you some more verses to prove that because they've been taught that the body of Christ started with Paul well would that a correct teaching or where they taught Paul doctrine first radians 15 look at verse 9 for I am the least of the Apostles they did not need to be called an apostle who's talking about Paul because I persecuted the Church of God here Paul is speaking and Paul says I persecuted what I persecuted the church Oh does that mean the church existed before Paul what is the church the church is the body of Christ if Paul persecuted the church what did Paul persecute the body of Christ so the body of Christ would have existed before Paul you know oh I don't believe it well you better study your Bible I'm going to prove it to you that the body of Christ started with getsu Christ that's why it's called the body of Christ do not call the body of Paul if Paul was the first one in the body right but it wouldn't be called the body at all but it's not it's called the body of Christ if Paul was the first one in the body of Christ it would be called the body of Paul and Paul would be called the head but Jesus is called the head what do you have if you have a body without a head well you got a headless body you've got a dead body no Jesus is the head of the body and he called Paul reveals appalled that there is a body and as there were people that were in Christ or in the body before Paul and Paul confesses and says you know what I persecuted the church I persecuted those people that were baptized into the body through the spirit now they weren't saved the same way as we are today with 1st Corinthians 15 1 through 4 it was the Apostles doctrine it was more to Jews and so they got the Holy Spirit but believing who Jesus was remember we talked about the WHO versus what but one of the revelations to the Apostle Paul is that salvation today is trusting what Jesus did trust the blood atonement so you got to remember that you've got to understand that you got it rightly divide the word of truth but as you split in the Bible you read the Bible you find out without any shadow of a doubt that the body of Christ started with Jesus Christ and there were people in the body of Christ before calling in Galatians in Galatians 1:13 the Apostle Paul says for you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews religion how that beyond measure I persecuted the Church of God and wasted it what did Paul persecute the body of Christ the church before he got safe that's what he's saying let's go to another person I want to show you these verses I want you to see this with your own eyes go to Galatians chapter 1 and verse 22 in Galatians 1:22 Paul is speaking he said when I was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea what he says here which were in Christ now hyper dispensation as will say well no no these were Jews over here and the body of Christ is only for Gentiles they say and they say the body of Christ which is the church only started with Paul and so nobody back here during the time of the Apostles doctrine got into the body of Christ that's what they'll tell you and they'll say that being in Christ was not for that time it's only from Paul on then why would Paul say it was unknown my face into the churches of Judea which were in Christ you see I've heard hyper dispensation let's say and teach that these Q we're not saved and cannot be saved the same way that we are today and they say the body of Christ is only saved Gentiles that believe the gospel of Baal so they say I've heard say this that these Jews were not saved as we are today really but Paul just said they were part of the churches in Judea where Jews are that were in Christ and he told us there were people in Christ before him that sounds like to me that the body of Christ started with Jesus and they were choosing it first you say well I don't believe that I don't believe it okay let's look at some more scriptures I want you to be a Bible believer not a Bible blockhead I want you to know what the Bible teaches and I want you to understand don't read the Bible in such a way that you change it to teach what you want to believe read the Bible and find out what to believe the Bible clearly teaches that the body of Christ started with the death of Jesus and it did start with some Jews the early apostles getting some juice saved then it went to Paul on that we cannot deny but when we study the scriptures and we and we study what is the church what is the body of Christ when did it start clearly it started with Jesus not with Paul let me show you this purpose to your being beyond any shadow it out first Matthew chapter 12 and verse 27 this is the first verse that I read as we started to study now ye are all the body of Christ and members in particular that's the verse I read and now let's look at the next verse verse 28 and God had set some in the church all right the church is the body of Christ now watch what it says and God it set some in the church first apostles secondarily prophets thirdly teachers and on and on and on the Apostle Paul says God said in the church first first the Apostles Paul said he was an apostle born how to do season but notice what that verse says first the apostles with an enemy in plural so if God said first any church the Apostles what does that mean that means the church must have started before Paul because there were apostles before Paul so the church the body of Christ started with Jesus and the Apostles are part of the body of Christ that means those early Jewish believers are a part of the body of Christ let's go to Ephesians you say well I was never taught that while you were talking if you don't believe that I love these people that claim to be hyper dispensationalist the many of them love God they do preach the gospel correctly praise God for that they see it's all about Paul but they get so into Paul but they forget Jesus and they want Paul to be the head of the church instead of Jesus but Jesus is the head of the body that's what the Bible says so yes the church existed before Paul let me prove it to you Ephesians chapter 4 Ephesians 4 verse 11 and he gave some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and some teachers all right Apostle Paul is telling us that there were some people that were Possible's what were the apostles plural number of fossils Paul was an apostle singular but he says there were some apostles for what verse 12 for the perfecting of the Saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ so the body of Christ started with the apostles that's what the Bible's teaching that's what the Bible's saying that's what these verses are telling us now let's go to ephesians chapter 2 ephesians chapter 2 look at verse 11 wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh who are called uncircumcision by that which is called the circumcision in the flesh made without hands may body excuse me verse 2 or 12 that at that time you are without Christ being aliens from the Commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise having no hope without God in the world verse 13 but now in Christ Jesus are you you sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ for he is our peaks Jesus is who has broken down the middle wall of partition between us now who's he talking about he's talking about Jews house and Jews he says they broken down the middle wall of partition between us having abolished it is flesh the enmity even the law of Commandments contained in ordinances for to making himself of Twain one new man so making peace and 416 that he may reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross having slain the unity thereof by the cross in his flesh when Jesus literally died on the cross the reason that he died was to make one body of Twain of two different peoples in other words so that Jews and Gentiles could get saved that's why Jesus died and get into one body leave verse 17 and came and preached peace to you which were afar off to go to them which were not for through him we both have access by one spirit unto the father we both have access by one spirit unto the father's the both Jew and Gentile now it says in verse 19 now therefore are you no more strangers and foreigners but fellow-citizens with the Saints of the household of God now watch what he says in verse 20 alright the context here is the one body verse 16 verse 20 and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets Jesus Christ Himself being the chief Cornerstone in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth into an holy temple in the Lord so the Apostles are the foundation Jesus of course is the head the foundation then the apostles then Paul and it was all to make one body of believers people who get saved for the church and it's made up of Jews in Gentiles because it started with those Jewish apostles when they got saved they were placed into the body of Christ that's what the Bible teaches um go to Ephesians chapter 3 we'll go ahead and read verse 3 verses 1 through 6 remember the mystery in Christ God revealed to Paul the mystery of the church of the body of Christ of how when you're saved you're in Christ but when God revealed that mystery to Paul you know what he revealed to him hey it's not just 10,000 it's just 2 and they were all saved into the very same body let me prove that through Ephesians chapter 3 vision chapter 3 for this call Paul the prisoner of jesus christ for you gentiles if you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of god which is given me - you were he's talking to Gentiles he says God getting me grace to tell you how to be saved by grace verse 3 how that by revelation he who God made known to me the mystery as I wrote afore if you worked whereby when you read you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ verse 5 which in other ages was not made known under the sons of men as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit verse 6 what is this mystery Paul verse 6 says that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel so the revelation that God gave to Paul that Jesus Christ gave the fall was when these Gentiles got saved they were placed into the very same body as the Jews because it's one body it's the body of Christ and those early Jews when they went out preacher they had no idea about the body of Christ Jesus had mentioned something in his earthly ministry about his body but they had no idea what he was talking about was until Paul that God says now do you understand you see I died on the cross to save people and to get them into my body I died for the church well the church started with the apostles that's what we just read and Paul says the mystery revealed to him was that these Gentiles when they got save their fellow heirs of the same body now if you go to these hyper dispensationalists to listen to the preach for a long time will they have two bodies I've asked them before I said what do you do with the verses that say there's one body they go well there's two bodies I go what are the two eyes oh well there's that what they call the little flock that was you know the Jews were one body but then we Gentiles we are the body well that doesn't make sense why are you making two bodies when the Bible says there is one body I guess you just don't rightly divide the word of truth studia if the Bible says one body it means one body not two bodies if Jesus would have meant two bodies who would have said two bodies but over and over and over as you read the mystery revealed to Paul he says it's one body made up of both Jew and Gentile and that the Gentiles are the fellow heirs of the same body which means the body of Christ started with the head Jesus and these early apostles were preaching and getting people saved and when they got the Holy Spirit they were placed into the body of Christ so the body of Christ is both Jew and Gentile now let's see here knew a guy who talked about of Christ started with Paul and he went so far as to say well these are the Apostles here they weren't even saved he said they won't get saved till out here and then he goes on and he tells me that the blood of Jesus Christ the atonement doesn't even apply to these early Jews he says Peter wasn't safe and we are only safe today through Paul well listen to this guy to go man does he even read the Bible I mean does he read the same Bible I do how could a person say that these early apostles aren't part of the body of Christ the church when as you read through Paul he says that the church started with the apostles he said there were people in Christ before him he said he persecuted the church and he says when it is now it got saved God revealed them to me that their fellow heirs of the same body as those early apostles how could it guys see that and he said well you know Peters going to come back out here and that's when they're going to get saved and and he had Peter not even getting saved how do we know that's not true oh and he said the blood atonement of Jesus Christ did not apply to Peter in the early apostles that's what he told me that's what he preached in his service I just opened my Bible up to first Peter and I just left because in 1st Peter chapter 1 verse 18 and 19 Peter says for as much as you know that you are not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your father's but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish it's behind here the Apostle Peter is saying hey the blood of Jesus Christ is what redeems us and this preacher from the pulpit says no they weren't redeemed wears only ones redeemed by the blood of Christ today we're the only ones the body of Christ and I'm looking at the Bible the Bible says the body of Christ started over here with Jesus and when we get saved today through the preaching and gospel of fall we're all part of the same body the one body that those Jews were in as well well this preacher went so far as to say go over to Matthew chapter 26 and all I'm going to show you something and why people want to preach this I don't know they just shows you that they haven't read the Bible many of them have been taught tradition rather than scriptures but this guy turns over to Matthew chapter 26 and he says here here's Jesus speaking in his earthly ministry at the Last Supper and Matthew chapter 26 and verse 28 Jesus says for this is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins number 26 at the end of the verse Jesus says take eat this is my body and so this guy says see this is the body of Christ that the body of Christ was only for Gentiles he says and that's why in this verse Jesus says that his blood is shed for many it's for these many Gentiles when he said that I go I don't sound right I've read this passage before in the other epistles and so I looked up the cross-reference in Matt and ma Mark chapter 14 and verse 424 mark 14 24 I looked it up and in Jesus is speaking and in mark 14 24 Jesus says that he said to them this is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many and I said okay in Matthew Jesus said it shed for many in mark Jesus says that his blood is shed for many but then I remembered you know that same passages in Luke look at what Jesus Christ said in Luke 22 20 at the Last Supper when he is literally speaking to the Jewish apostles Luke 22 20 says here look at their here in a second likewise also the cup after supper saying this is speaking this cup is the New Testament in my blood which is shed for you so Jesus Christ in the first two Gospels says this is my blood that I'm shedding it's going to be for many people Jewish and Palo in Jesus's mind the third gospel Jesus says take this is my blood that I shed for you so the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for everyone now these Jews has to eventually trust the blood of Jesus Christ but at the beginning of the church age the message was trust who Jesus is and when they believed that Jesus was the Messiah they received the Holy Ghost when you receive the Holy Ghost is when you're baptized into the body of Christ so the body of Christ is for Jews and Gentiles now God revealed appalls know now it's only trusting in the blood atonement you trust the blood atonement that's when you get the Holy Spirit and so we see the rest of the church age it's all through Paul's preaching but the body of Christ is made up of Jews and Gentiles that's what I'm trying to show you Jesus Christ died on the cross not only for our sins us poor Gentiles but for the sins of the Jews Jews can get saved and when they hear they're part of the body of Christ anyone that teaches otherwise in the high participation and to say that the body of Christ started with Paul is very strange when Paul confesses there was someone in Christ before him he says that he persecuted the church and he says that God are milking him that the body of Christ is Gentiles getting saved and being fellow leaders in the same body as those early Jews when they got saved how can you miss that well many people do unfortunately so there's what you have called the so called hyper distance' Shoeless I'm not one of them don't want to be I don't believe the body of Christ started with Paul I believe the body Christ started with Christ but I understand that the body of Christ was a mystery revealed to Paul so nobody knew what the body of Christ was until paul and then paul tells them well this is what god was doing this is what Jesus was doing he was setting up a body for himself the church so the church starts with Jesus Christ something you have to get well a lot more I can talk about on that but look at what we see there are some people that are wrong these Baptist writers are just writers who say that the body of Christ is only the local church building well that's true then you look at every Church a denominational Congregational meeting place in the world and every one of them says on the body of Christ well how many bodies does Jesus have I all says only one so that can't be true the body prices everyone is saved so the correct teaching of what the body of Christ is is the body of Christ is everybody who say what are their Jews or Gentiles when they got the Holy Spirit they were baptized into the body of Christ it's wrong - saved by Christ starting with Paul because Paul tells us that the body of Christ started with the Apostles Christ is the foundation now there are other people that say that the body of Christ is not just people who are saved in the church age you see the church are people who are saved well those save people leave here at the rapture and then Jesus goes back to dealing with the Jews so you have some people though that believe that the body of Christ is more than just the save people in this time period the church age they want to say that the body of Christ goes from Jesus here all the way out here and that those people that are saved in the tribulation are part of the body of Christ that I don't believe that I think that's somebody stretching it I think that's somebody going yeah let's just make the body of Christ everybody and these people will go so far as to say well the body of Christ is everybody that ever got saved so Jesus died to start a body but they say that when Jesus rose again all those people down there at Abraham's bosom well they went up to heaven and they were part of the body of Christ and then they say these tribulation Saints that get their heads caught up in order for getting martyred for use they're part of the body pride and I guess they go so far as to say people that get saved in the Millenium are part of the body of Christ I don't see that when when Paul is speaking about the body of Christ it makes it very clear that he's talking about these early Jews after the death of Jesus all the way to the rapture that this is the church and the churches that mentioned anymore in the tribulation of the Millenium except in the Millennium when it comes back it's glorified bodies as the Bride of Christ so there are some people that go to the opposite extreme and they don't make the body of Christ just this like the hyper dispensationalist they want to make the body of Christ apply to everybody that ever got saved in the whole Bible that's interesting where do they do that from what verses do they use well just you read you a couple of the verses that they use and then show you why I just can't twelve in it now it could be maybe we'll get to heaven and God will say well that's what the plan was so that everybody could be in the body of Christ but I don't see that I see the body of Christ only for those who get the Holy Spirit who get saved after Paul I mean excuse me after Paul after Jesus died and it only applies to the church age let me show you some of the verses they use the piece of chapter 1 verse 9 and 10 having made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself or sin that in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather in one all things in Christ both which are in heaven and which are on earth even in him so people say there well that means that everything is going to be in Christ one day some people go so far as to say even people in hell they're going to get out of hell and everybody will come into Christ no no no when you go to hell that's it it's over there's no second chance you go to the judgment seat of crime in the great white throne the judgment and then after that you're cast into the lake of fire there's no getting saved if you're in hell that doesn't happen so what is he talking about here we'll the context is he talked about those who are trusting the gospel verse 13 so when it means those in heaven those on earth I think he's talking about when the rapture takes place and then everyone gets put in Christ if we're alive today when the rapture takes place or those that have died in their souls that are we all get into one in the sense that we get our glorified bodies at the rapture another verse they'd like to use is Ephesians chapter 1 verse 21 reasons 1 21 through 23 far above all principality and power and might in Dominion and every name that is named now only not only in this world but also in that which is to come and put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church which is his body the fullness of him that filleth all in all so they say well Jesus is going to fill all in all which means Jesus is going to just take everybody and put them all into the body of Christ I don't I don't think that's what it's talking about it says he's going to give them to the church so the church is special the church is different the church is this this group of people that get saved in a certain time period that become a part of the body of Christ and it looks like they're going to reign with Jesus Christ in the Millennial Kingdom 1st Corinthians chapter 15 verse 25 these are verses that they use to try to say that the body of Christ is going to be more than just people saved in the church age it's going to be all those people that were saved in the Old Testament and everybody's saved in the tribulation and everybody says millennium that's all all those safe people are the body of Christ I just don't see that in the scripture but this is a verse that they try to use to prove that first Corinthians 15 25 for he must reign till he hath put all enemies under his feet who Jesus Christ 26 the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death verse 27 for he had put all things under his feet but when he said say if all things are put under him it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him when all things shall be subdued unto Him then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him that Christ may be all or that God may be all in all some people take that and say well that means that everything is going to basically be in Christ and in God I don't see that so these are the or different ideas or theories or teachings about the body of Christ and I think number two is the right one and I think as we read the Bible we understand and we should hopefully you guys understand what I'm saying many people that watch my videos they understand about the Apostle Paul and why we would follow Paul today well I hope you don't get so much into Paul that you get led astray into the hyper dispensationalist teaching because then you're going to miss some stuff because the hyper dispensationalists say Paul was the first of the body of Christ and they're not reading Paul because Paul himself even says no now the body of Christ starting with Jesus but Jesus revealed to me later what the body of Christ is and I told them about it but the body of Christ started at the cross until the rapture so which one is correct well I believe the right teaching is number two the first one is Oh only the local church for this local assembly is the body of Christ well that leaves out everybody else in the rest of the world now all save people during the church age are part of the body of Christ whether they've already died and gone up to heaven their soul or if they're alive today all of those are the body of Christ the bride which is called the church it's wrong to say that Paul was the first one in the body of Christ and the body of Christ starting with Paul if you ever hear someone say the body of Christ started with Paul you know you're dealing with a hyper dispensation who is off on when the church started and that leads to them becoming anti-jewish because then they say well all those promises for us for the Gentiles is for us today and many of them don't want anything to do with Jews but those Jews that got saved in the early book of Acts are the same body as we are according to Paul and then the last one is well everybody gets into the body of Christ eventually all those people in the Old Testament when Jesus took them up to heaven he put them in the body of Christ people get saved the tribulation no no I don't believe that I believe this is a peculiar time the church age it's the only time that a person can get into the body of Christ and they must be saved whether they're a Jew or Gentile to be in the body of Christ today so this is a blessing I hope you understand this teaching I hope you'll take it and use it I've had some people you know say breaker week we found a church to go to but it's the hyper dispensationalist church and people are wonderful we like to fellowship and with them but it just grieves our soul every time they say Paul was the first one in the body Christ because we know the Bible we know that's not so and they said well should we keep going to church there a lot I can't tell you what to do but at the same time don't go to a place that grieves your spirit every time you hear someone preach something that's not true so I'm not going to tell you to to do or not what I'm hoping is that this video will plainly show you what the body of Christ is and that all believers in Christ will come together and have the same doctrine and wha believe in number two instead of believing one of these other teachings and being wrong on what the body of Christ is so thank you for watching we will see you next time and God bless bye bye
