The BEST RAFT Design Is META: Ark Survival Ascended

[Music] hey guys welcome to an ark survival ascended Guru video and today I want to talk about rafts a lot of people I know a lot of my friends a lot of their friends are talking about how on the rafts on the new arc survival ascended you're not able to build them as good as you could on Arc survival evolved because you can no longer sync foundations which allows you to protect the boat from underneath as well as jump on the rudder from inside the boat well I'm here to tell you they're right you can't syn the foundations the way you used to anymore but there is a new way and in my opinion maybe even better than the old Ark and today I'm going to show you how to do that since I haven't seen anyone else do it yet I did some extensive testing in single player to get this down because myself I'm sure as well as many others and you guys like to go out if you're like a solo or in a little group um starting off on a raft is a great way to get a leg up and so I completely understand that and I went out of my way I have 32,000 hours in Arc survival evolved so I want to give some of my knowledge away to you guys because you know why keep it all to myself I think you guys deserve some really cool tips and I like sharing these kinds of things so I'm going to go out and I'm going to show you guys exactly how to do this here's a tutorial so the first thing you want to do is come over to your Rudder stand directly on it doesn't have to be perfect um then you want to get your foundation you want to line it up using that line see this line right here in the wood you want to use that line to line up your foundation put it as far o up as you can and until it like jumps off the boat that's how you know you're at the limit you bring it back a little bit and you go back to that limit where you were and right about there you're good now here's something people don't already know once you click to select it you can't you're rotating yeah you can do that but the thing that's more important is this you can sink it now notice it won't go go underneath the the boat like you could in the past Arc with little tips and tricks and cheating but you can't do that on this game anyway so it's irrelevant but this is as far as you can go and what you want to do is place the foundation go up this way you'll know you've done it right if you can do a full L like this now the next thing you want to do is place this Foundation come back over here quickly because you do have a timer and pick up that one now here's where things get a little tricky so you want to get your next Foundation Crouch move up here and you'll get this little thing so you see this right over there kind of underneath where the raft is bobbing up and down it says hold to free place mode and you want to make sure that you're actually in the free place mode it makes things a little easier um but normally you don't really get that as an option when you're on the boat unless when you're on your first foundation so that's why it's important for us to have deleted these foundations on the side so I'll show you if that foundation's there I can no longer free place this Foundation it is not possible so very important make you pick that one up and once you are ready you're going to St stay kind of in the middle um and you're going to go forward just a bit you're kind of like bugging out the system uh slightly you want to make sure you can see the corners of each foundation and once you're kind of directly in the middle see you'll see it kind of like unsnap and that's kind of what you want and once you have that you want to try to put it directly in the middle uh and then what you do is you back back up a little bit to where you can like pretend like you're trying to fit a quarter in between the this little corner and that corner you can't see that corner on my screen but I know it's there in the corner all the way over by my right hand on my character over there and then once you think you're lined up you're going to select I think about right there you're going to select syn the foundation and you're going to place another Foundation off of this one make sure you place it off of that Foundation now that's very important and then what you you want to do is you want to go back to here place your foundation off of this one and then off of this one now your boat looks completely sealed right but if you did it just right just like that you can select your Rudder from on top of your boat and this is unpickable you can't hit this with a pick or a pike or whatever and if you can it just means your Gap wasn't small enough your Gap should be just small enough to where your boat can't be picked or piked um but it should be B enough to where you can just see it to drive the boat now the big thing is even if it is kind of big on top and you can still hit it on top there is no way that someone can hit it on the bottom and I'll show you guys you can make it big enough if you want so that you can select from the bottom uh but as you can see you're never ever ever hitting the boat you can't even select the boat from the bottom you could if you want make the Gap bigger and select the boat from the bottom uh but I prefer you not need it to do it that way it's completely up to you guys you can go for a little bit riskier of a pixel Gap uh and if you do that again got to be careful because you might bring your boat up to vulnerabilities then of course you can just build your boat from that point on any way you normally would you're not going to have any gaps to worry about uh within the boat itself so you can put a door down right there or wherever you want anyways guys that's my video on how to build your starting raft on Arc survival ascended and I
