The Abandoned Westborough Asylum - A Century of History Forgotten

[Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] some real old-school equipment already oxygen tanks pumps hydrotherapy tubs what else we got these oxygen tanks are cool I have a gynecology chair women lay down here and put her legs up for examination let's go see what else this hospital has to offer [Music] Wow it's like a bunch of storage [Applause] supercool room just keep moving on to else's here another garni oh wow the window just look how hold the sink look I love this era of time everything so attention to detail thank you even the woodwork so I'm sort of simple let's keep them calm but I'll check out these old hair salon there's a lot of set up shots at other urban explorers have set up photography still awesome that was definitely not untouched the lot is still left behind I came over here to see this this cabinet with everything so in it but there's a bunch of flies in here I think there's a dead animal behind all that don't want to go too close fill in this enter room we have all the beds just stored in here we're gonna head upstairs right now or we have these cool asylum chairs that I love to see upstairs it's probably the dormitory where the patient slips whoa wow this is actually fix magnet smoke place and address I next days old salon chairs I seen a couple of these in an abandoned resort a while ago very cool very throwback it was sweat stains in the back of nasty so we got out of the building we're in that was been in the 80s with the 70s we're in this building now closed down in about 2008 much more modern I'm seeing a second I think it's just a medical building some nurses some other medical staff let's check it out looks like we're coming up to a helpdesk probably go up here get a prognosis on a patient Wow it's cool yeah these rooms are pretty now let's go upstairs oh oh that's beautiful [Applause] Wow this place is really scary-looking def unit and here's my friends thinking they're funny yelling police thank you for the heart attack nothing but open rooms very clean though oh this room is a nice color this was super cool we know it's like a children's room or something oh it has clouds in the ceiling really interesting I was sure some papers left behind or something to let us know what kind of patients you're staying here so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this building was specifically for children which makes it a lot more creepier ya know this building is cool it's a recent it's clean I'm pretty sure it's for children oh look it's an old medical room got the curtains better be right there so there could have been a sick kidney who knows how's your therapy tub so this building was basically used for kids after all the paintings I saw on the wall Chris found an interesting room it's like an isolation room you could lock it from the outside but you can't open it from the inside it has Plexiglas here and I bet they're put kids in here just to forget the problems look at this so interesting so we have to isolation rooms this could be female because of the texture and the color this could have been male have the mirrors and top right so when you close this door so you can't get out people lock it from the inside and once they're inside all they got to do is looking at mirror at the blind spots to see them creeped in the corner or what not very creepy painting a super creepy it's like yeah pretend you're not here try to put you in a different place the painter even got the shadows of the poor of the windows on them would that's a really beautiful piece [Music] so they want you to think don't worry about a thing it'll be alright Wow these are human these are growing people and prints and not kids oh this is so many look at that where shows a up there is a year September 5th 82 1882 any money what nothing oh here's a secret for you nothing all the keys are wood - I've never seen that this is so old look up that piano guys you guys love looking up stuff and how much it costs maril Piano Company Boston 1921 nearly a hundred years old as well as this building got some decay going on [Applause] the detail on the stairs these are patient limbs don't even have control over the lights nurses would have to turn the lights on and go on so this must have been our nurses quarters and what they have mapped out is all the patients can't really see I can't tell if it's just black molds or the names are kind of there but they put the names of the patients in each room the heading the station section rec room front darn that's cool on this one was kind of like lockers but with weird chicken wire you got some nice tubs and another piano no year on this it's time that we got a trout bridge Piano Company this place does look so old the architecture is so nice the curve in the wall we have all these notes to patients this one's dating back 1969 June 19th Oh scattered across the floor Ward 6 Robert cage it's all over the floor every such sheet of paper just has a story of somebody he's probably either very elderly or passed away places like this after that she could completely forgot about so creepy we got a little kids shirt right here and all the storage to the psych center thermal t-shirts draws strong shirts Donnell's super old stuff all handmade heading to another building now from the looks of it and from other psych centers I've been into kind of looks like we might be heading into a cafeteria because of the tiles but we're not gonna find out because they blocked it off we made ourselves into the theater got some graffiti in here not bad though kind of sets the mood it's at least it's not just profanity written everywhere you from up here it's pretty cool got to project the room -
