what's up guys welcome to today's video today as you see we're beginning it trying to cross a river to explore a very cool abandoned hotel it's a really the tories hotel it's really old vintage I've been here once before last winter I was in the area so I decided to come back to record it because it's a must-see it's certainly a time capsule the mission one of getting to the hotel is crossing this river I'm gonna give more hich see when we're there but first let's go okay a few moments later across the river at a very wet spot and we completely ran up here this very high incline to avoid being seen on the road but here we could see our destination ahead although think I'm pulling up to the old pool completely frozen over you can see the old little lifeguard garni froze in there this was the kitchen it's dark in here I'm gonna bring my light out so left in the shelves just some typical coffee coffee knives and stuff like that leaving the kitchen this was the grand dining room this was the stage where any entertainment at the time whether it be music a comedian any type of personality would entertain everybody in the air as they're eating definitely a shell of what it used to be but you could see how grand this place was oh the hotel we're in today was a hundred fifty room five storey hotel it operated from 1929 to 2004 it was most known for its therapeutic sulfur spa and it catered primarily to Jewish Kai and Tao who traveled to the mountains for the summers the architecture is Spanish Colonial Revival style and the most notable person that worked here was former New York City Mayor Ed Koch who was a busboy here in the kitchen so it's pretty interesting that we're here and sitting right here in front of the stage is a wreck so graph whatever that may be it looks like it spit out some sort of paper similar to a typewriter but nothing to nothing to type with thinking it's some sort of copying machine I'm not really sure though just like every abandoned place I go to there is always a room just stockpile the files all taxes and different types of receipts for the for this hotel just lying in one room and this was the main lobby got an elevator Buddhist elevator company she's gonna take a peek in here and I want to step in it I don't know how old it is but someone remove the panel so some of it is not quite interesting as I thought it would be this was the front desk please how much would it be a room six 666 deal walking behind the front desk cuz I saw this awesome operating machine real old-school stuff somebody would call and if they want to connect to a certain room all the room numbers are here they'll take one line take it out and put in the line for the room whoever wants to talk to whoever staying here pretty interesting old technology and we find ourselves inside of the Olins ballroom still have the chairs watch Ellen in here like they used to take a look in this room for a second you could see the shadow carpet so probably the last time this place is modeled was the 70s when I was hey I've never seen the bay that bed that has hanging it get a bunch of old-school TVs in here this looks like it could be the oldest one someone drew that that's pretty nice I really have no idea what kind this is anyone recognizes it let me know but I can't seem to find a brand [Applause] [Applause] well a lot of decay in here that's pretty cool though kind of bathtub no the whole way see what's down this way before we go down the rest wow this room is really nice has a lot more furniture in here than the rest [Music] you [Music] this chair is Lily what was into the ground oh my god careful okay it's completely frozen in the carpet crazy other than that we have another room filled with TVs RCA brand I think they're all RCA yeah they are or this one's a Zenith someone drew all over them I bet some of these probably still work I bet all of them still work something I don't think I noticed till now all the ceilings have really nice moldings in them that's something to make it stand out from other hotels we're gonna check out that opposite win [Applause] got an old space heater 3:18 whoa this is a cool one pretty nice of that curtain right there have another room connected to okay so for her on the third floor there's the least amount of graffiti and the most amount of decay and that's exactly how I like it stuff is getting really post-apocalyptic real quick I think most of these rooms look like this because somebody tried to set a fire in here [Applause] Wow this is the most decayed room I've seen here it looks beautiful holy crap this room alone made the trip worth it just seeing complete decay no vandalism just complete natural decay and just rebirth all happen naturally its urban exploring is all about wow that dresser looks like this room has all the bedsheets even some that are still wrapped up some fresh ones I have over there in the bags oh and the towels look at that somebody's like I don't know this room specifically you could see the difference between the shag carpet and the moss and the actual grass growing inside that's pretty crazy different shades of green one is disappearing and one is growing to provide a whole new carpet for this hotel this is one of the only rooms that I've seen that actually has clothes left in it still I can't really say whether it's here pre abandonment or during abandonment as in squatters but it's so pretty eerie to find clothes left behind approaching the top floor looks like it's gonna be dark in here oh yeah it's really dark in here got my light you can't really see much leaving out my son he's picking up all the low light storage closet now you could actually see the the attic from here completely exposed that over here wow this is the creepiest little room yet usually on the top floors of hotels or resorts the staff usually uses these rooms all right guys thank you for watching that's gonna do it for today's video not a lot in here but just coming up from the woods seeing the hotel standing five stories high walking in and essentially walking into a time capsule from the 70s is really what we did hopefully you guys felt that as you watched you did leave a thumbs up because that's my goal is going through places and essentially bringing you through time as I walk through in my reality anywho I'm gonna get going got more places to explore if you liked my video your new hit subscribe we explore and we upload a video every other week and I'll see you guys next time peace out [Music]
