TESTED: Is It Possible To Beat Minecraft Without Placing Blocks?

hello and a few exes Logan and minecraft is a game which is all about shaping the world and building your vision inside of the game at least that's what it is to most people but what if it was possible to beat the entirety of the game without having ever placed a single block yourself would it be possible to only destroy and to kill things all the way to the end my immediate thought was no of course that's not possible because they're all challenges to try and beat minecraft we're placing fewer than 10 blocks or five blocks but what if we placed literally zero blocks in the course of the entire game would it be possible that's something I wanted to find out in today's videos so to make this an entirely fair challenge we're gonna be starting a brand new world from scratch it's gonna be on Hard difficulty and it's going to be a blank seed this means minecraft will create an entirely random seed which is the way to make it entirely fair cuz it's a Walt that nobody knows not even me and it means that we can go into a fresh new experience and see if we can defeat the Ender Dragon from scratch because that's how you define beating minecraft there is an official end a lot of people admittedly don't ever bother with it but there is an entry point crop there is an ender dragon and once you slay the dragon and go into the portal the end credits roll and that is when the game is complete so can we get there without placing a single block we can destroy all the blocks we like but we can't place a single one and that's the challenge today but obviously we have to lay down some grammar rules I think that's gonna be important so first I thought we need to clarify exactly what a block is because although I think blocks go fair enough to be created by the game I don't think I can place down the block which is using the place block function so if I use the right-click or be left trigger or whatever button it would be right there and I place this book in the ground that would be an instant failure no form of block placement can be done and a block is anything that takes up an entire block of space or is clearly you know designed to be that way so anything that would be in the creative inventory as a block that's not a 2d item basically or to be more clear about this you know a block is a very easily definable thing of anything that is super solid that you can jump stand on etc should be considered a block so for instance I would say that water is not a block but ice clearly is ice is clearly a block in the game Lana's are not blocked but a wood plank on the ground is or a wooden stairs or a wooden slab all these sorts of very solid items are blocks whereas a painting or a ladder or you know water are not blocks because again they can coexist alongside these other blocks they're not necessarily the full space and you can go through them freely so yeah also air is not etc etc okay now we're clear let's dive right into this but because I can't place blocks I can't create a house this means so many of the basic functions in Minecraft such as cropping such as a furnace are unavailable to me and although you know you could foreseeably Franco about those things my plan is to try and find one naturally generator in the world because a thing you might not be aware is the fact that you can find both of those structures inside an NPC village so my entire goal today is to find an NPC village which I have to do on foot and which I have to do only finding food along the way because I can't cook any food about furnace and I can't cropped a boat or anything like that you know I can't find any of the basic things I need to travel without finding a village we also have another key timer on us and that is the Sun so the Sun tells us what time of the day it is it's roughly noon wincroft time right now as soon as the Sun Goes Down if we don't have a house we're in some pretty dire situations because I don't have a pickaxe I can't really go mining I can't do a lot of the key functions I need to so I kind of just need to wait in a cave until morning which is not ideal given how caves are caves so though it's not particularly useful for this run it is really cool that this random seed does come with a huge Mesa biome including a miss of Bryce Wow yeah so this might be useful for later we'll come back here if nothing else and for now we're gonna pray that the desert which is just alongside it comes of some form of desert village the game just kind of gives you the need to do it it never tells you to mind it's just like well your life will be a lot easier if you do and speaking of life being easier I think we've just found a desert temple kind of in this tiny desert next to the Mesa so I'll go for I guess wait no I can't go for it because I can't place blocks meaning if I go into that place I basically can't get out because I can't stack myself out there if I can make ladders I probably could but again I I literally don't have the ability to get myself out right now so here is the current situation the night is coming I haven't found anything so we're spending the entire night on Hard difficulty where we can be you know two or three shot dead by skeletons we're gonna be spending this entire time desperately looking for shelter in the dark well if we if we ignore the fact that I'm basically already dead and I'm walking for a desert at night surrounded by monsters I think this runs gonna go pretty well okay so this is an incredibly ballsy move to make this early on the game but finding any mone is usually the worst pop any one of these you know like trying to beat minecraft in a challenge run so I feel like it might be worth going off the enemy now because this is an all right place to do so we've got a little mountain we can try with and I'm gonna try to skip so many steps ahead and try to kill any man this early on well he just teleported away good fight I don't know I don't know why he did but maybe it's a good sign maybe that's a good idea that we should let him do that seriously my hunger bar is depleting slowly but surely I'm about to lose the ability to sprint but we have found ourselves a village to villagers next to each other actually which is more than perfect they should have what we need if one of the villagers didn't have it yeah one probably does so yeah there's two structures we need more than anything else one is a library because they have Crofton tables and one is a blacksmith furnace because they have the furnaces that we want so as long as we have at least one of those things each then we should be able to craft and we should be able to smell so here is our crafting table now we can officially make the basics that we need so we can make a bed sleep through the night for instance although we can't place the bed oh no we can't sleep through the night so we're gonna make we can make a sword for instance we can make all these basic things that we want well I'm gonna wait until later when I have a stone for that so you know I don't even know a source in the background but there's literally two creepers in that house of them and understand that seems like a real scary situation to be in if you're a villager see a peeper is one of my least favorite items in the game because by itself it is such a worthless food but if it keeps us alive it keeps us alive remember on Hard difficulty you literally can starve to death and oh here we go just perfect it is a blacksmith with a furnace so we have furnaces we have crafting tables and we have a free chest with four obsidian I can't use it though because I can't place blocks as well as some iron armor which will keep me alive and some food which help keep me alive in a different way so the bad news regarding the village is it seems all of the villagers are slowly becoming husks so that's not ideal that's definitely not in the slightest well okay at least they died instantly when they do get so yeah this village is not only gonna be my only crafting table as well as a furnace but it's also gonna give me access to some caves it seems and some caves which are already lit up which means no torches required because even though I don't think torches do count as a block we'll try our best not to use them anyway just because you know they're on that like edge case of like some people say that it counts as a block so without torches we can still use most of this cave because there's lava lighting up oh my god what are the odds of this below the cave village - there's also a zombie spawner which we have to destroy ASAP and we literally can't okay there is a real problem at there because we have a zombie spawner which is activating as we speak and I just need to deactivate there we go yeah I love me some wrong flesh and some coal Oh some diamond what summer and some iron see how this iron is gonna come in super critical later I do think so because I want to get a source of light which again can not even be considered in the slightest a block you know by any definition of the word one of the things that I'm gonna be designed to do is I'm gonna try and get myself some flint because now I have some steel I can make a flint and steel with that and that means I can make at least a temporary source of light and it's also gonna be handy for helping us reach our second goal which is going to be that of making a nether portal so to make in that portal we need to get really low down and we need to find some lava a big bit of it so yeah we're gonna have to go pretty deep for this so I know this is the most excessively dangerous way to make a cave below ground but it looks kind of cool and it does get lit up for free so there's that again I appreciate how excessively dangerous this is but I do want a light source in that new cave too so I'm just gonna use the lava and I'm gonna try and hope that it cooks all the way for it yeah just like that we've now got a light source for our caves that doesn't involve placing anything ourselves it's a lava lamp or just lava - the lamp and I think we found our match so checking this is five blocks deep again another just nightmare of an issue about being a place blocks because usually you can just kind of sink your gravel in see how well that goes in our case I think we have to mine underneath it and see how far below we can see the lava brothers again incredibly complex very risky but it's what we've got to do because we cannot place any blocks as you might be aware from the title and the fact there's been referenced or video if you're not aware oh no way just found some diamonds while looking so if my pickax breaks before I can make myself a staircase out there I think it's all over me oh thank god if you look at the pickaxe it literally has damage to your ability I was almost stranded down in the mines found an Enderman and we found them again in kind of tricky times but I think this is our opportunity to strike him three hits and you are dead from an Enderman that is how destructive they are that's a bomb Iran - but we got off first ender pearl off the run super early on - I play to clarify and given that we need 12 of those to succeed in any given run it's so nice to just have that out of the way and done but we do now have enough iron to make ourselves an iron chestplate we could also make a helmet but I think the now I mean you look cooler when you don't wear the helmet anyway and I'll keep the iron just in case we need it later so let's go down underground and let's get ourselves those diamonds and frying ourselves they think oh no we need a bucket that's why I should do the world would go underground and a little lava cave oh you this is a quick opportunity to remind you if you want to see this entire run one of the things I'm committed to because there's not enough fit on YouTube is honesty and like you know giving you the thing to it or if you don't want to guess what this video continues with a purple flower randomly found next to the lava now we can mine these beautiful beautiful diamonds oh there's at least three of them that means diamond pickaxe could be in mound and oh we could make an inch on oh we can't really do much of any of this also I've never seen diamonds this low with lava below them like I didn't know diamonds could go down to bedrock themselves so you might be able to hear it very faintly in the background but it's actually kept on during in Minecraft right now which is usually a bad time to be going outside so that's a good time that I'm just inside in with my cave right now so it's at least five blocks deep over there but in some places it's not five blocks deep so we have to go quite far into this to find out where it's that money Steve but it does at least get that deep at some point I know that's a lot of words I just said but did hopefully that makes sense to you so interesting enough the Enderman from earlier didn't D spawn which means that right now because he's just inside the zone of not rain oh he's about to walk out that we can actually attack him and he's gonna start going crazy and hopefully died from the rain and not me let's do this okay I'm nervous Oh second end of her secured so this is a bit of a tedious process but the basic plan here is to make a nether portal slowly by doing this low technique here then we dig to the side of the nether portal and then things go magic I think wait no okay so we've made ourselves a nether portal sized hole here at the very least but now we need to make a way into it and we need to give it a top which is where this gets kind of tricky again I doubt anyone is like that level of suspicious but last time because the editor didn't include the never portal making sequence because he didn't assume it was interesting and I've had like so many people email me saying like oh yeah I've caught you out mate and I said no it's like this and he's like now I reckon I just caught you out and your email me it's like well I mean y-you may like it I I had the most ridiculous responses to all of that stuff oh god oh gosh how do I stop that okay I lost my water but I made some hard stunts so there's that but yeah let's do this now it's gonna be tricky but we need to make some obsidian on top of this and just like that I think you'll find we have what is technically a nether portal I think yeah definitely an airport oh so this is my source of light for the nearby area but just to make sure that it doesn't get dark and oppressing because I accidentally covered the entire thing obsidian I'll make a little hole just over here so we can see pritilata so yeah the never is gonna be the scariest part of this run there is a real danger the portal will just kill me because usually you have to defend the portal by placing blocks all around it but today we can't do any of that instead we walk in and we prayed that we don't just instant eye and we could be right below lava that could just be our life now hey but it's not a life now instead we got a pretty good spawn or thing considered so yeah as soon as you against the never one of the first things you always want to do is get a good perspective of what's around the area oh there's no apparently but you want to get a good perspective of what you can see and where it is like you need to find this in a fortress ASAP and in our case we need to find it with an easy route in and out so we need to do that while being attacked by a ghast that we can't really attack too easily so yeah we've now finished challenge free challenge for is to get into the nether fortress again we can't place blocks we have to just mind our own pathway in there and then to kill some blazes and come out alive which is actually harder than it sounds given the amount of damage that these enemies do and it's damaged that armor can not protect you against because it's wavering damage and it's fire damage it hits right for your armor so yeah it's scary stuff it's my point because of the fact that we can't bridge over to it there's only really one part the nav fortress which is easily accessible and it has four wither skeletons before has anything oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh okay we're in Brent Brent oh oh man that was too much for me okay so we're in but we've got a long way to spiral ourselves up there digging through the nether fortress to get to the bits we want to okay we found a safe way in here's the blaze let's go for it let's go let's go let's go have to kill them before they do any fire damage to me which is easy enough now we wait here we camp out and we let the blazes spawn we kill them we let the place to spawn we kill them so we get all the juicy players Ronson which we apparently have known oh my god this is this is where it's terrifying oh gosh okay this is the big can we survive it yes we can so that's eight blaze rods that's probably more blaze powder than we're ever gonna need if we need more than that then there's a serious issue going on and let's pretend that that's not a possibility so we should be mostly done with than ever now I think a good bit of planning and the weirdest tunnel they've ever made has actually made this one if the easiest never runs I've done a while like there were it was an intimidating moment I was very close to almost taking damage and dying but because I didn't it means it was easy so now we can't go near our portal because we've got to ghasts desperately trying to me moving besides that we're doing pretty well oh man okay so it's super weird going in and out this and somehow we've got the luckiest thing in the world it's an Enderman that fell through the portal this is this is God's gift to me so if he really carefully doesn't fall back through which he will if I hit him he might even if I don't hit him actually let's give him some room to walk let's hop in there with him hit him out there we go perfect he's trapped in that little fat single block and we can kill him give me that ender pearl ender man yes that is the easiest end Apollo I've ever gotten that I actually have all the blaze rods I need and I just need to get some ender pearls now so phase four is can be really tricky because we have to kill Enderman without placing blocks this is quite tricky because it means we have to dig holes in the environment while Enderman are around and other mobs trying to get us it basically is a little bit of a challenge but we're gonna try our very best to kill them and my low defense is gonna be using horses and I'm gonna use the horse and fast horse splitters to just run away this is the slowest horse out at the scene seriously look at the speed of this horse it is laughably slow he runs and my walking speed but he can jump pretty high so I guess that's his thing so I was looking for a horse to help me look for Enderman to kill but I found a tenement first so I guess we'll just kill the enemy I mean that makes sense to me right so the trick is when you're flying Enderman if you want to find them at all times go into third person he'll help you out a lot we'll stuff like this and yeah we're gonna go to cave just eat some meat so I found a random force just roaming the desert by himself let's hope this boy okay you know he's not very smart horse but maybe he's a fast horse he's a fast horse perfect so now we put our horse on on him cuz he's gonna need it after all those cacti he walks into randomly and now we go look for Enderman a hat another Enderman so at this point I actually do cook often just to take them down on the ground by themselves it's scary and they can really really make you nervous especially like this but we should be fine especially when they just disappear that's the worst of it there's an anyone who wants to kill me and he's just gone missing so this zombie hasn't enchanted Oh No phantoms are coming out we can't deal with phantoms because we don't not able to sleep but we have an enchanted helmet sir is that cf phantoms are a real problem for me I literally cannot sleep in this run so an issue I didn't even foresee I thought it was smooth sailing I thought this is the easiest run no it's one of the hardest we have to do with phantoms the whole time who were not deterred by anything and keep spawning if you don't sleep oh I found a glitch Oh No okay so this is a glitch that I think killed me one time by literally can't run past this point in the game without getting off Oh No okay so the Phantom is also trapped there this is the weirdest glitch but if it lets me kill the Phantom I'm happy of it it does not let me kill the fan oh my god this is everything's frozen they can still attack I just can't see them their models are stuck there but they are not okay so I guess we're running too fast and a horse we're gonna just back out the game get back into it somewhere safe so yeah everybody use for pro tip it's worth knowing about is while it's raining andaman of course won't be spawning but what might be spawning is where they might be spawning is the deserts because it does not rain in deserts therefore you can find spend man there okay so it's daytime now we can't be looking for Enderman and also we can't be harassed by the Phantom's and we're gonna use this as an opportunity to stop looking for the strongholds so the way we do this is we craft the eye of Enders using the blaze powder from the nether and the ender pulse from the Enderman and we throw one of them and the direction it takes us in is where we head so the handy secret we now know about bedrock is bedrock almost always okay so it's pretty much directly that way oh we got the in Apple back perfectly so it's about 1/4 that way to your basically that direction we now go in that direction as far as we can because we now know that when you find a village it almost always has a strong table or robber to put that in the bed up there you know put then the context where it makes sense strongholds in Minecraft bedrock almost always spawn below villages which means if you find a village and it's in the right direction it probably has the stronghold below it oh so we found it despite looking all night for one we found an Enderman and the time where they're not really meant to be here in the day and now he's gone so I guess that fixes that one I guess so I'm gonna look at the end of Minh just because I want to get this fight started it's better tap the low ground on the high ground against Enderman and we have trial very best to not die doing this okay it's not easy one Oh another ender pearl which gives us another I offender so theoretically we could have all the ones we need already it's just very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very unlikely so yeah so I finished my first village but it's not in the path where is expecting to be it's a bit too far to the right however just to you know being tight there and make sure that it's not the right village we're gonna for an airbender and yet it's gone the entire of way please give it back to me though please give it back to me please it's gone back so yeah every time you probably I offender you've got about a one in ten chance it gets destroyed which is pretty you know destroying for your soul I would say oh gosh we have we're in desperate need of somewhere to shelter from these guys yeah we're just wildly rotating around the andaman and getting this straight at the same time there we go okay we got the hit on him that's all that counts okay just gonna hit the N minute i'm z' yes okay he dropped an ender Pole did i pick it up i did pick it up perfect that is the scariest encounter I've ever gone through the closest I've come to definis run so far but I'm alive and I'm harmed and my horse is doing okay - oh look at this this is the scariest freakin boat this is your oh there's a spool of them okay I'm alive very barely I'm going inside somewhere for the evening I don't know where's inside but it's what I need to do at this point right yep right here fandoms can't get you in you're in a cave it stands to reason at least oh the fandoms are still here and they've there's a lot more of them now they have multiplied in the times and so it's gone okay I need to find that village even more desperately now just to find somewhere to away at this point oh god oh gosh I'm alive it's good says the horse okay it took a serious amount of backtracking but just over there is the first village we came across so we only go there and we're gonna give make ourselves a couple of boats and then go all the way back that way it's sadly necessary it's sadly necessary just over there is one of the first villages we ran across we had to go all the way back here just to make some boats just to go back to the sea this is the damage that are no craft that are no placing blocks front can really do not being able to craft unless we can find a specific villager house which I hope we find it because it seems like it's a zombie village based on all the burning zombie villages there oh it is because it's got cobwebs on it oh no way we just ran across a zombie village this seat gets rarer and rarer every time we look at it I for lost my horse for a second there and I was worried that this might be kind of like The Walking Dead where for some reason their zombies eat horses too but gladly he's just chillin on top of this low fence post Paul over here however I am still one block short of a second boat and I kind of do on a second boat to stall the horse in because bringing the horse around of you actually maybe that is smart you know we'll bring the horse round with us because we're just such a great horse on a like that let's do this okay so I'm here at the coast I've put my my horse in the boat and I'm getting in the boat as well as long side the horse I hope no I'm just on the horse in the boat I should be up to gain the boat also but apparently horses disagree of that there we go there you go as you can see me and the horse were in the boat together and now when we get out we should also be able to keep the horse of us so again the boat is very much not a block I think we can all agree based on the tank that it doesn't really exist in the game it moves it's a knight oh and we've hit the weird glitch again we've to back out and go back in oh my god what has happened I've never seen this what so if you don't know there's a glitch in Minecraft we're riding a horse or at least in bedre okay it's all gone now we're riding a horse basically creates a barrier around you I don't know why it's just a weird bedrock stall glitch and yeah to avoid the glitch you've got to back out and get back in your world exit this time I ended up in a blood sea apparently I'm glad that's gone I don't think I've ever seen it I spoke by him like intersexual in extreme Hills in this way it's pretty interesting actually okay so I've been going for a really long time now and I don't have a single sign off a you know edit or anything or even a biome which could fit village I'm gonna throw an end a pole right now or a knife end up and oh we're gonna learn that we've gone past it apparently which is concerning okay even though there are phantoms coming down to fight me I really feel like this Enderman is worth fighting so let's do it let's get help up and let's go for this oh no no creep up he almost killed my whole stuff yeah fighting an Enderman of odds if courts eat without having real shelters available it's super hard but super rewarding in this case because we've got another couple ayat Enders heck yes six of them now okay so this is definitely gonna be an ocean stronghold which is not an ideal thing but hopefully it goes backwards rather than four oh wait where did that go where did that just go and slide the mountain I honestly I didn't go forwards okay so when it's non ocean stronghold it's a stronghold in this mountain somewhere but I think my end I offender just went missing come on game so I've just learned a protip but all of you watching this if you want to make sure you don't waste I offenders then don't throw them anywhere near Mountain apparently so now we've got a plan because we have a horse but we want to keep the horse even if you know like later when you clip Brennaman but right now he's gonna wander off by himself unless we trap in a whole again a little bit cruel be gonna be kind to be cruel sometimes see I just dug that out and he shouldn't be able to get out that hole so yeah being able to actually find the stronghold underground it's gonna be hard without placing blocks because obviously we don't have proper sources of light but it shouldn't be too much harder than normal so the plan here is just to be a little bit cautious and we should be good and again we do have our flint and steel if we need to let make some temporary light at least oh we found the stronghold wonderful so now we just have to make a safe way in and out this again we can't place blocks so we need to have a proper staircase rather than this I think the smartest way to do this is just to dig down via the walls off the extra stronghold itself and now let's go look for that end oven because we still do desperately need those hey there he is okay so again we can't place blocks and we can't even dig into it oh there we got public he's the end of them walked himself into a trampled we can kill him easily what a perfect end okay not perfect Enderman what a previously perfect Enderman until just this moment Oh found him he's trapped in some cobwebs perfect got myself another and a path so these libraries can contain chests which sometimes contain super valuable things and sometimes not but also here's available where you can use them if you like the librarian fire it provides a great source of life so a protip always burn knowledge because knowledge burns to the brightest hey I found the the end room so this is wonderful we just got a freight has at least one an offender already in the purple in the frame I'm not sure if that will be the case but o2i offenders every one of these runs football I've gone so unlucky it's been zero and I think I had one once we got two for this once we only need five more although I think it's four more because I just got one form walk I had Enders and then we can do this so let's place them now actually just yeah you never know what can happen so we now just need four more end of them killed and we can already go to the end I'm not ready to the end because there's so many dangers of not being as place blocks but still look at us we've got this lockdown already oh we gonna end up on the chest this is a perfect day for me again a lot of these runs have like made me pull out my hair almost but this run is coming out strong already so there's a bunch of more chests around the stronghold we should look around them because you never know what they might contain we might find another ender pearl I doubt it cuz they're pretty rare drops but you know I doubted I'd find the first one and somehow I did okay I've got myself a nice new fresh flint and steel I've got myself a horse and we're gonna go on a journey to find three more Enderman which shouldn't be too hard or too can't time consuming which is great okay so the good news is I found myself an Enderman the bad news is there's a lot of other monsters who want to kill me first so okay another end of pole Gavit done okay good news we've got another end oven he's in pretty much the same place suspiciously is the last one but the bad news you can already see scooping down on top of me on a non-stop basis maybe even trying to kill me oh there we go perfect Chapman retreat finally can get rid of them now let's move on to the enemy see ya not being after place blocks means using water is actually a lot more effective than it isn't just regular survival in fact it's one of the best techniques that I would totally recommend if you're also under attack by other monsters at the exact same time and maybe you want to minimize that the enemy teleporting around just makes everything more complex - come on yes one more and apart to go and all I have to do is not get destroyed by phantoms somehow the phantoms just still aren't dying it's daytime man it's daytime there we go that's the moment I was looking for so the bad news about rain is it means that you basically can't find any man because they're not gonna spawn but the good news about rain is that we do find an Enderman he's gonna be very loud cuz he's gonna be a non-stop pain also apparently bad news as it stops the Phantom's from being on fire so that's that's the whole problem we can also place down the other two eye Enders now just to have this beautiful moment where we know there's one more to go a single Enderman he could even be found in this stronghold somewhere we found one already maybe we'll find a second one and then we're good we're done it's all great oh another chest oh no way I missed the chest remilia with two ender pearls that second Enderman fight was entirely unnecessary this is the best stronghold especially you know not the speed running but for like beating the game without wasting a lot of time like often happens I've got a spare ender pearl when has that ever happen before now that's crazy weird go into the end so before we can go to the end it's important to sort out everything that we can and just try and have the best chances at this again this is the run I feel like is the hardest to kill the dragon we can't sneak off the end islands we can't do any of the things which we can usually get away of doing and means this is gonna be really tricky and I think my best odds to kind of equalize that is to one have these cooked pork chops on the ready and two - is to bring my horse into the end with me I've never fought the dragon with a horse before but I think it's important to get my horse down here so gonna go do exactly that okay so my strategy to do this is to make a 2x2 hole all the way down to the light who I made before and then to turn it into a 2x2 water source just make a big water thing so the horse will survive the bull and I can have a horse in the end okay so now have to do one more dangerous journey I have to get all the way back to one of those villages with a crafting table and I have to make myself some new boots as you can see I'm lacking lows I have to make myself a couple more buckets and just a few other things like a diamond sword because my iron sword probably won't get me all the way for a dragon fight and then we might just stand a chance at doing this again this is gonna be the hardest part of the run but if we believe hard enough maybe it's possible okay same thing is the fault we've got to get in the horse with the boat get in the boat with the horse rubber and go across the lands to the other side except this time we've got phantoms who want to kill me okay so it took me way too long to get back here with my horse many boat trips shenanigans etc ahead and now that we're here we're gonna take our last chance to make some foods say cook beef now we can actually eat the whole time and you know why not make some pork chops too we can use this as an opportunity to use a crafting table again so we can finally make some more buckets we can finally fix the armor that broke up on the way here cuz those phantom attacks are brutal so we'll make some leggings we can also make a diamond sword for the first time maybe - or a shovel wait we've got lots of options isn't a point here and that is a good thing so also some boots I guess would probably make some sense and yeah this is where we're at with it I've we've got a lot of good stuff we've got a solid enough base is it going to be good enough that's what we'll kind of find out in the future but to kind of stack my odds a little bit better than just crafting and smelting one of the things I also remember from earlier in the run is the number of these desert temples I ran across really early on I kept finding desert temples instead of things that I actually wanted so as long as we can find a sustainable way in and out which we can because we've got this bored bucket what we're gonna do now is gonna be you know a little bit tomb raiding because I'm not sure of their tombs but will be raiding these places because that's kind of a fun thing to do so yeah that will rip open oh it doesn't actually raised the pressure plate it sort of straight ourselves be extra careful and now we're gonna get all of these chests with their wonderful rotten flesh and their wonderful emeralds I can totally take it on shop and they wonderful there we go the Golden Apple that's what we're here for that's what we want can't use the enchanted hook and can't use the second saddle so yeah we're gonna go to each of the distant paws because we might just find it in Shaunta gone Apple which would really tilt the odds so that instead of being very fearful of my life I can you know maybe have like close to a 50/50 or above chance so this second does temple provided me of one diamond and that's about all I can really take advantage of so this is some of the worst desert temple of Luke I've gone a while but it is worth noting that's random each time okay so this is my last time I can use a crafting table for the entirety of the game IVA what's gonna happen is the Dragons gonna slay me or I'm gonna kill the dragon and it's not gonna be necessary so just a small thing that I didn't really think about but you know I'll take a shovel that might come in handy at some point and just in case I need a spare bucket I mean better to have one than to have four iron ingots I can't use right so yeah let's now arrange our emissaries the most pot we'll do another one should we go and let's do this let's make the run home let's get the horse into the end room and let's do this okay now I need to make the hole in the ground wide enough for a horse to fall through again this is big dangerous book but I think it's worth doing okay here comes the moment of truth can I get my horse into the stronghold without killing him I'm gonna knock him down by himself cuz if he doesn't survive I'm not sure if I want to go down there oh okay I've gotta do this with him do it okay let's go I'm nervous I can't do it okay just just a little low nudge over the edge oh okay that's not good that's not good not idea not idea we're gonna heal up the horse where our bread maybe oh no you can take much damage okay then we give one more knock over the edge just a gentle push hey survived okay horse in the end stretchy it's happening now it's happening so I think we have just created the world's first ever horse accessible stronghold it involves jumping into the road there we go okay so it's not the most convenient way okay I'm gonna die I'm in down here I need to break some blocks fast oh god okay the horse can't survive that here we go we've done it we have now officially gone horse all the way to the end portal so now we do one last inventory cleanup oh oh he's on fire that's not good not good not good not good not good don't go in the other lava okay okay there we go I saved the horse okay so I'm really about to do this now I'm about to place the last I offender in the frame and I'm about to jump into the portal with my horse so let's do this backwards Oh something appears to have gone wrong here I think I found it glitch it seems as though horses can't go through an portals well there goes my innovative stress sheet I guess we'll just going through by ourselves well I'm pretty sure the mops can go through the portal maybe you just got a bunch min and then hey there we go so horses can go through the airport so I can go through the end portal we just can't go for it together anyway let's let's do this now we've got a really good spawn here it's amazing spawn because we spawned underneath the island we don't have to jump our horse and maybe sacrifice it we don't have to you know like use our water and try and do some magic instead we can just mine up and we should find our way directly to the inner dragon so I made a way up to the surface that's big enough for both me and for my horse companion and we're gonna do this we're gonna try and take down the ender dragon on horseback gonna be a bizarre one so yeah honestly there's a lot of variables about taking down the tranquil horse I just haven't properly considered so only a little bit cautious at first just kind of learn the ropes see how will the horse reacts to the dragon attacks and see if we can probably avoid them all you know this is going very poorly okay this is we're gonna reconsider our tactics maybe just so one of the first issues you're gonna see we're trying to take down the dragon especially where she do take down the towers is how we gonna take down these cage ones and although we could say well we're not going to well we need to work out a way to to make this a lot easier so one of the things that you can do is you can use water to get up there or a slightly more risky technique but we're gonna give it a try today is we're gonna try and end up all up there and I'm gonna end up on my horse just cuz I'm curious as to what happens next so as it turns out this happens next then we take a joint hole in there and we die okay I'm alive but yes so that went well I would say if we run jump we should be Oh God my horse is next to dead I am next to dead this might be over guys this might just be over so yeah take down these towers is a lot harder than first support because I am running out snowballs and gang the angles just right on these is not easy and we don't have many chances to keep trying okay we're so close to the top now as long as we don't get hit off the edge here oh the dragons flying at me the dragons flying at me okay we get that wicked where it made is the top okay so now we pick up our water and we can fire our snowballs at that hopefully we can fire our snowballs at this one there and we could even do a suicide attack off the edge for this last one so yeah this is gonna be the coolest thing if I can put it off but oh yeah that was unnecessarily risky my heart is racing I need to stop taking so many risks and scare my genuine plan at this point is just to take down the dragon with Harper towns remaining I think there's got to be a critical number of towns you can take down where you'll actually start to do this but four is not that critical number oh no the Dragons flying at me open up now oh God oh that's a weird glitch and as it turns out you take too many risks you're gonna died you're gonna died so this was a wonderful run regardless I want to you know shout outs to the horse for managing to loss rule of that hanging on by the very string of her chief and I want to mention that this is entirely possible you know there is this possible run we've proven it as possible we've just also proven that's gonna take a few attempts when you come back from the dead you can probably succeed and do it again maybe we should do that to prove the point actually I think maybe just maybe we should let's come back all the way from spawn and let's defeat the dragon [Music] okay now it's personal okay we're doing this to avenge our Aussie friend and to prove that it is in fact possible to beat minecraft without placing any blocks this is what the end looks like you kill the dragon she withers up she turns into a black hole of sorts this fuse no XP and then you get the end end portal which takes you back to the overworld and gives you this end credit sequence signifying european minecraft so that was minecraft start to finish there might have been a death they might actually been to deficit because of a very quick succession death I mean the horse died I died you know I've really those free deaths then but we proved for the most part that it was possible but I'd like to know you for about this one because you know usually when we die we restart these runs that's where we've dumped the most part but this one was so close to the end so close that I decided to just prove that like you know we'd be in all the hurdles we in all the changes do you think that counts do you think that is the same what do you think no I mean like you know who knows what happened in those last 20 minutes you've got to restart and do it again I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments on this one because I just wanted to share with you one of the most brutal experiences of death I've been for quite some time like it you know let you go for these four hour you know because this was about freedom half hour run with but it was this whole experience start to finish that just turn into this but yeah this was a beautiful run it reminds me of all the reasons I like Minecraft it's so fun to play around the new feature you discover some weird glitches along the way horses have so many glitches in Minecraft because I guess they're not very used these days as it turns out but they can really help with your dragon run they can really help with just playing Minecraft as a whole and hopefully this room reminds you that you don't need to place blocks in Minecraft people say that minecraft is a game all about placing blocks it's all about how well you can place them and make houses but minecraft is what you want it to be if you don't want to follow the rules if you don't do what everyone else is doing that's entirely ok both in Minecraft but also in real life maybe that's a viable message maybe it's not believed way as you can see minecraft beaten we're back back here at spawn with 53 levels and this video like all things has to come to an end thank you very much
