well i wasn't able to bring anything what do you mean we have been talking about this potluck for weeks i know what happened was we all know what happened you forgot i am so disappointed in you now nobody at the party is going to be able to eat chips i'm sorry miss jeffries oh no poor girl you become a teacher because you love teaching and or love kids you can't be treating them like this especially when they're gonna apologize i would have been like why did you bring the chips you ain't gotta chip back up you ain't got a snack cabinet in that desk um since you didn't contribute anything you can be the last in line to eat i would have started crying so you can go first so cute i love it that one's for me thank you wow angelo what a great gift um patrice you're number two oh choose this one i don't understand where's the gift oh um there must be some mistake who brought this one maria did you bring this yeah no here's the gift i wrote it myself that is not a gift that is a worthless piece of paper you were supposed to spend twenty dollars ooh you can't do that it's your first year teaching or something like you get a lot of kids in your school and not everybody can afford twenty dollars especially to spend like on a party or something it just makes me oh it makes me angry most of the time if you're doing any activities in school or they ask for money you can honestly just go and talk to the teacher before after class privately nobody has to know about it and tell them like i don't have money my parents can't afford this they will always understand they tried to tried you didn't try at all first you show up wearing that you don't bring any food to the party and now you don't bring a gift this is unacceptable i really wanted to but you see i don't want to hear it she didn't let her finish she was trying to explain it you can't just cut her off like that no miss teacher lady you all sit down and hear it lest i snatch your wig here you keep this i don't want anyone else to get stuck with it ah patrice you choose another gift honey hey how'd it go uh it went fine uh well there was this one student maria she literally didn't bring anything to the party it was like she didn't even care oh well maybe something else is going on i mean you never know what someone else is going through anyway i gotta go see you tomorrow yeah have a good night like i said she's a teacher she should understand this but obviously some it just don't click up here i can understand teachers like picking on a very bad and misbehaved student you know just to like humble them but like this girl is being so nice so polite she's trying to like explain herself and everything and she's not having it she won't let her and it's like this hurts me because growing up i didn't have money to go on field trips and i didn't want to tell anybody like i don't have money so i was just like i had to pretend like i didn't want to do it i didn't want to go or my parents didn't let me go i had to make up all these excuses anything but oh i can't afford it my parents don't have money dear santa my name is maria i don't usually ask for much but i could really use your help you see my mom just lost her job a few months ago and since papa hasn't been around we've been having a hard time paying our bills we're barely getting by today i was supposed to wear a nice outfit for a holiday party they have are my old clothes mom says we can't afford new ones so if you could please bring me some new clothes without holes in them i'd really appreciate that i was also supposed to bring food for our potluck but we barely have enough to eat at home mom says we don't have enough money to buy groceries so if you could please bring us some extra food that would be really nice and one last thing if not too much to ask i'm supposed to bring christmas gifts for someone in my class but mom doesn't have any money even if i don't get any gifts if you could please get one for them that would mean so much to me if i was a teacher i would feel like a huge piece of turd drifting on my back in the toilet bowl right before getting flush that's a whole mood my mom and i are really struggling right now i'm sorry to ask for a lot but i really want to do everything miss jefferies asked me to do she's an amazing teacher thank you so much merry christmas santa love maria oh i wasn't expecting to cry today i miss jeffrey's let me see you make this right i'm so sorry couldn't get any presents this year it's okay it's okay the air in the bag of chips that i didn't bring keeps me full what hi uh is maria home i'm her teacher oh yes miss jeffreys what are you doing here well i came to deliver some packages it looks like these are from the north pole really wow up here take these come on let's go open them i've got more please come in go ahead open them wow new clothing just like i asked for i love them wow lots of food now everyone in our class can eat chips oh teddy bear now i can give this to some winner in class she's not even thinking about herself she just wants to share everything such a humble child the child is the gift actually sweetheart this is all for you for me i asked santa to give a gift to someone in her class not me it feels so bad i ruined the whole party because i didn't bring anything i'm so sorry oh hey hey no you didn't ruin anything i'm the one that's sorry i never should have gotten mad at you at the party today that was the mama below you got mad at my daughter for what if only she knew what she did that kind of trauma is gonna follow her the rest of her life i realize now you never know what someone else is going through true you think you could forgive me of course okay but santa told me personally that all of this is just for you nobody else really wow she gave her a whole loaf of bread for herself like are you saying mother can't share uh the loaf of bread for me okay that was very sweet and nice and i'm
