today we are building inflatable tiny houses and taking them down the Kern River also known as America's deadliest River oh no there's a rock right there padle faster I'm trying deep to the center of gravity there's a rock right here our goal is simple if we make it through the Rapids to the lake successfully without popping sinking crashing or drowning we win that should be easy the real challenge comes in is that we're going to have vastly different budgets one budget will be $11,000 to build the raft the other will be only only $100 to build the raft at the end we're going to flip a coin see who gets to ride down which raft for this challenge I'm in danger we are all in Danger let's go to the store so we're going to be building the $100 boat first we're doing a quick little Walmart run and this one is definitely going to be the most challenging yeah we're going to to be real smart with this Chris because again the Kern River is America's deadliest River $100 to keep you safe that sounds sketchy how much is this that's half the budget $54 for this I have a better idea we'll see how good his idea is dude he's going [Music] fast oh boy it's basically a full-on house it is $71 though 71 I think that might be a good idea we got to add a lid of some sort though if we put a giant inflatable turtle on top robbert what the this is 34 bucks Rob that's out a budget rip I actually think one of these will work yeah that should fit over the top and it's only $15 so last thing that we need is some duct tape what are you doing we don't need that much we don't have this kind of a budget bye-bye we can only afford like two rolls just got back from the store and now we're not going to bore so we inflate this thingy we inflate that thingy and then we put the thingies together and then we got a house 3 hours later okay I hope this thing is big enough because those were toddlers in the picture yeah so the technique is to screw all air pumps use a shop back dude that's a lot tinier than I thought it would be at least the rules are posted on here [Music] well this is going to be a comfy house that's for sure okay so we're going to make a special attachment cuz I don't really want to blow this up unless you guys will all blow it up at the same time with me so I'm just making a new attachment and now it should just blow up Chris I'm going to join you bro come on in here this house is really nice you break it you buy [Music] it that's the roof dude it fits really well actually so I think it looks pretty appropriate it's like it's like what you'd expect in with a $100 budget so now we just need to tape it well here it is Tada $100 budget house raft inflatable boat it actually turned out really good I must say what should we call it this is the most important part this is called the inflata Buster no I'm deep in thought I got it what is it the castle Cruiser cuz you'll be cruising down the river in the castle bro it might sink I don't think so okay now that the castle Cruiser is complete we're going to go to the store to get our rals for the $1,000 raft it's going to be huge epic let's go 1488 okay so this is 75 in lengthwise so this will be the perfect roof next up we're looking for decor and we need two of them because whoever gets this one there's going to be two people in so these are the seats that go side yes I feel like we need to get a giant turtle and like we should tie the turtle to the back to it's like a turtle buddy like a trailer like a turtle trailer buddy huh okay maybe this ball looks fun throw it in you have tons of money dude okay so the problem with our build right now is that there's no skeleton it's just floppy mattresses so our plan is to use PVC pipe to build frame and connect the mattresses to the [Music] frame I hope this isn't over budget well we still have a lot left to spend you want to help so if we need 24 we get two bundles and four pipes yeah this 24 red hot blue glue this is going to be huge dude this is going to be actually a really big raft okay the next thing we're going to inflate are the air mattresses and there's quite a lot of them no jeez guys [Music] so those are going to be the walls so this is going to make this thing look like an actual house Chris can you believe that our inflatable thing it's going to have Windows on it that's pretty cool that's pretty cool we got a bunch of them to blow up so we were originally going to put another mattress on top of there and it would have been 10 ft tall but we're thinking that's going to be too high so we're going to take three of these out so I laid this down right here this is going to be our wall Dimension so we'll have to cut the PVC pipes to this [Music] site now all the materials are prepped we're going to attach everything with zip ties a flip ton of duct tape and ratchet straps I can't wait to see this when it's [Music] done okay and this actually works out pretty good because you've got these handles here so we'll connect these and then we'll connect the handle to the pipe there dude this looks good yeah we got these nice Windows nice and soft now we have to do it all other sides and then we're going to attach the roof all right just putting the roof on unannounced he's just slapping it on there okay okay see it like hooks over what if we flip it upside down so it looks like a castle no that's partially how it's going to stay on Jeff you always say no to my ideas cuz your ideas I don't need it so we're currently working on decorations now got a couple palm trees yeah we got two more to come and then we're have a rug these big old inner tubes are going to be the chairs slash if everything goes to crap you're going to jump off on these okay Rob you do the honors put the last [Music] treeon life jackets is this safe right now well according to the internet there's about 12,000 cubic feet of water pouring through this River so maybe maybe maybe not people have drowned in less amounts of water just saying people have drowned in puddles I've drown in my own tears how do we do this I want to make sure we stay together so we can keep an eye on each other ratchet strap the long yellow one all we need to do is just survive my job is to keep us straight my job is to make sure we film The Experience for everyone watching Rob your job is to just not pee your pants that's one set of Rapids down and there are many more in between us and our goal of making into the lake after making it through the first set we were hopeful but what we didn't realize was the first rapid was nothing compared to what was coming next what is that Jeffrey that that's the biggest rapid that we're about to hit Jeff have you gone over that one before no it is probably the biggest one but it's not like waterfall B that drops that's a Dr that's a waterfall that straight drops off Jeff break out but it's everything no it's not a drop off dude it is no it's not you can see flat and then you see the edge and there's nothing Jeff are you sure this is fine yeah he doesn't sound sure at all Rob we we did hit some pretty big waves and we were fine so just hold on we can last this we can make it dear not made for what we're doing I think God gave us that log for a reason to get the heck out so that that means we lost we did lose why don't we find a nice spond go swimming to cool off and enjoy the responsible by respecting the force of water and leaving the river before things got worse there's a time for dangy but sometimes there isn't
