Super Mario Odyssey Ep. 34 - Glowing in the Moonlight

hello and welcome back to Super Mario Odyssey last time we finished up all of the moons in Bowser's Kingdom and now we're back in the wooded Kingdom there's actually a specific reason see I was looking at the map and I was thinking about all the kingdoms that we've done up to this point and we've done really really well only a couple of Kingdoms we had to leave without getting you know all of the moons like the snow kingdom here uh one of the other ones that I wasn't able to get all the moons for was the sand Kingdom it was really bothering me that I hadn't found the secret path there yet so I committed the ultimate sin I looked up where it was and that explains why we're here in this in the wooded Kingdom um so the portraits right here and yeah we're just we're gonna go through it and we're not gonna feel bad about it because I was gonna have to come back here eventually anyways and you know it's fine anyways because this isn't even the last uh moon in the sand Kingdom we actually got one more that we just can't do yet but we're getting really close so that's important now that being said I'm I'm feeling pretty confident I know where the portrait that leads to the snow kingdom is so we'll worry about that later for now what I think we're gonna do is we're gonna make our way up to the Moon I think that'll be really fun do you like my outfit I was really excited to get the sunshine outfit I think it looks great Mario's got a sweet shade and I would I would actually love to have that uh shine Sprite shirt I would I would love one I just it's so cute look at it I would wear it I was gonna say wear it every day I wouldn't but I would wear it often okay so let's see where we're at with the Moon Kingdom we've got 10 out of 27 moons and 44 out of 50 purple coins that's that's pretty good um I guess we'll go bust open that Moon Rock and see where that puts us ah let's see it's 27 right now so what is that 17 moons we're missing that's pretty cool actually I bet one of them is in here hi hi dog well this guy is gonna lead me to one for sure I guess we're gonna do this first uh since we're here I'm also gonna look inside the shop because I'm pretty sure there's one that I haven't bought yet okay that's neat but I I need I need the moon buddy I need the Moon smell something is it the Moon what you got come on yes nope okay well is it in this crater no I think you're just running around being a weirdo all right come on man it's got to be around here somewhere is it over here by by Luigi hi hi buddy yeah come on It's gotta be in here right oh he's sniffing around no dang oh okay so two things one he's he's sniffing around again two my controller's vibrating no dang it oh okay well there we go come on all right that's that's obviously not the one the dog was uh trying to lead me to but I mean hey man a moon's a moon well we've talked to Captain Toad there's the uh the sand Kingdom guy so I definitely want to talk to him but I need this I need this dog to help me man come on well I guess since I'm here I'll talk to you how you doing buddy out of this world you got up here we've come a long long way since the sand Kingdom don't you love the Stars here take this a gift for you [Music] nice hard to beat this place but how about let's see um yeah a kingdom with the rarest mushrooms anywhere you can call that a challenge friend do I have the place for you just got to give the car a lot of gas first all right so we're gonna meet him in the Mushroom Kingdom speaking of which let's talk about my plan going forward here so we're gonna finish like the Moon Kingdom shouldn't be super crazy hard right at least I don't think so if I could get this dog to find me a moon that would make things a lot easier but aside from that I think what the plan is I'm going to finish up the Moon Kingdom and before I go to the dark side or the darker side of the moon I'm actually gonna go do the Mushroom Kingdom first uh I think that's I think that'll be a more interesting thing to do you know I just not that I think that the um the dark side of the moon will be boring or anything I just I'm gonna go finish up the Mushroom King that way we're not just staring at moon moon rocks for you know two three straight episodes is this it no dang hi buddy you gotta lead me somewhere I think that's the trace walking Koopa you smell something no oh oh maybe he maybe he has yes thank you so much good dog ah love you buddy all right so let's actually um let's do this oh good oh got it okay great all right and we'll uh do this too I you're you're the the trace walking guy right you up for a challenge everyone loves walking yeah okay there's Trace walking oh man uh okay yeah let's do this sweet just a big old Circle just walk around the ground follow the arrows they'll disappear okay all right okay I think I can do this [Music] I messed up I definitely messed that up yep yeah that one's not gonna pass didn't think so all right that's okay we can do this yeah let's do this come on buddy it's walking it's a piece of cake we can do this just don't go the way that I went last time and we'll do okay foreign there we go that's gotta be better it's a little bit better 92 I really it's really more than I thought it was going to be but great [Music] I don't feel like these helmets are helping y'all I'm being honest I'm out of prizes but you can try no no I just need I just need the one the one prize thanks oh boy all right okay that that's all the moons I can see in the immediate area so I mean that's been good right I can't really complain okay bye Rock and I don't uh see any purple coins anywhere so I think we're just gonna go uh bust open this moon rock you know okay that seems like a pretty reasonable amount nothing too crazy let's see there was 27 right now there's 38. so we added 11. that's not so bad um oh okay gotta get up high oh boy [Music] got it that one's easy and also very satisfying to do I like it okay so how am I supposed to bounce super high into the air like that um no it's not particularly high enough all right there's got to be another way to do that um and I will figure that out soon ish not really sure how to get up that high I don't know if there's anything around here that can launch us or if I'm really supposed to hot because okay part of me thinks maybe I'm supposed to hop off the church right and like Glide that whole way down which could be possible with the zero gravity it could also be uh really impossible oh you know what there's just Sphinx back here yeah there is I remember that last time because he gave me grief about answering his questions rather than saving Peach greetings traveler enter your hat as well can you answer my riddle what type of flower did The Traveler offer the bride uh rocket flower you are correct uh anyways proceed all right cool thanks man do actually do you have more stuff for me you have do you have you not been asked enough questions let us see how you do with this one which animal can't be found in this land [Music] uh sheep yes correct I actually guessed on that one if you require questions I have another see if you can answer a third time the objects that fell on all the kingdoms of what world would that kind what that's Moon the fire world what water world no Moon come on well done traveler okay come on ask me another one give me a hard one where is the secret entrance to the wedding hall in this Kingdom uh below the Bell correct but did you really know that it's kind of tough getting up to that Bell ah you were just pretending no I knew that one what a pain all right let's settle this I now present the final question how did I travel to this place loaded by Airship sale let me agree on the Sphinx okay thank you really I just wanted them yeah I just wanted the Moon okay goodbye thank you for all your help man yay [Music] I kind of forgot there was Zero Gravity for a second [Music] ah yes more money give me all the money all right you know what obviously I didn't mean to do that okay I don't know if I'm being paranoid or not but it looked like there was a shadow above the Sphinx I'm not being paranoid there really was okay okay there's there's definitely an easier way to do that than how I just tried but the point is there's definitely one there here we go oh okay there's a lot of things to do here uh so let's start with this [Music] [Music] man it seems like I'm the I I like doing the Cappy throw where I lunge and bounce off it it's kind of been you know the the MVP move okay uh along with long jumps but I feel like it's a lot harder to get that jump right here in the the Moon Kingdom foreign oh oh um man am I supposed to fight you again for like the third time oh she didn't have anything to say but that's all right ow didn't ah geez get out of here I ah God man okay that's that's fine no that's not fine what is wrong with me come on get it together get it together me you you fought this lady three times now you kicked your butt each time actually I might have died the last time too but it doesn't have to be this way come on wear yourself out are we done here you you quite satisfied okay I guess I didn't need to do that um well does this lead somewhere oh no you know what I don't think this was necessary you know what I think we're actually good down here uh I'll have to probably talk with uh takatu or hidden toad because I might be wrong but it's very possible that I don't have anything that I need to do down here so uh as cool as the music is we're gonna bail on this I'm also not gonna do the Koopa running yet I don't want to do that hey hey talkatoo why you gotta be up here man it's a very inconvenient spot for you to be okay this looks kind of neat I can dig it okay all right let's um okay see how this works I understand this foreign good everything's good that looks like lava over there so we're not going that way um oh boy there we go there we go oh let's follow this for now I think um oh boy you know what I think there's another Moon before I go down there I think there might be a way to get up here so I'm Gonna Run and Jump nope yes yes come to me uh yeah all right let's just sort of do this little number and jump edge of the Galaxy nice okay and now we'll just we'll just go back down am I gonna be able to go back down yes I am oh all right oh okay geez come on there we go okay that was fun let's get out of here excellent all right thinking pretty good time so far 21 out of 38 neat all right so there's one over by the shop here there's hidden toad I'm not gonna need him yet oh speaking of the shop I did already forget that I think there's one you know there's a moon in here that I do need to buy hi toad yep right here I'm only gonna buy one as much as I'd love to give you a thousand coins toad I'm not gonna do it so let's see here there's one oh okay all right I think it's the um ow it's the what do you call it the little bit of time to mess around that's why we're here just to waste time just to have a good time you know what is happening I don't want to live in this kind of world zero gravity is fun until you do that bro you're gonna have to get out of my face [Music] all right okay I see neither purple coins nor a uh a uh a second moon please sir it's unnecessarily violent of you why did I do that what the heck all right I don't want to deal with I want to deal with these it's gonna say Mushroom Man weird octopus guys [Music] oh boy there we go I didn't even I didn't even think about there might be some there's one up there okay great yeah that'll be fun what what the heck okay well I saved it there in the end but all right let's um ah jeez all right so how can I how in the heck can I get up there's another Trace walking have I gotten the the bunny on the moon yet yes I have okay well kind of a waste of time but that's all right we don't need to be upset about it or anything uh I don't remember you have we done this yet oh my God all right that was close cool great okay man I still don't know how I'm supposed to get that one way up high [Music] um push the trace walking Koopa did I walk right past him I sure did ah man what an idiot all right hold on let's get back over there okay we're gonna walk in another Perfect Circle uh I I didn't mean to jump I meant to talk yes all right let's let's do this again come on bud is it is there really another Circle yeah it is gotta score 90 points all right ah man ah this one wasn't very good either something about walking over that Ridge man just catches me off dang it 86 that was close but not good enough all right one more one more try we've got this there we go that's gotta be it oh that's pretty good not over there on the right hand side ignore that on the left hand side it looks great you can see I was like really close to the arrows you know 100 points it was not a hundred points but thank you I don't understand how the heck that grading system works it doesn't make any sense 100 would be a perfect score but there's no way you'd ever do that perfectly maybe someone can not me walking is hard especially walking in a circle not gonna do it can't do it won't do it uh let's see here I still don't know how to get that one I I have a weird feeling that I do have to jump off the church hey I don't know maybe it just it feels like man if it feels like quite a distance you have to go like you really gotta line up that shot oh the frog come here like what the heck is that is this spaceship it looks like a the little version of the the boss from the wooded Kingdom doesn't it yeah okay well I'll take it I need that frog back though come on buddy we got stuff we gotta do I think this is what I need to do but it also means I have to incredibly slowly walk my way over there um so yeah I guess I'll I'll be right back okay oh yeah that's that's perfect awesome jumping high as a frog cool awesome well see you later buddy going back to the church I'll see you there all right you know what there's probably some stuff going on inside the church now that you know the wedding's off oh Peach may even be in here hello [Music] who left that framed [Music] I've seen this portrait before okay well it's supposed to be in this one I bet it's something we have to do uh nope all right well can't Mario 64 our way through this dang it I was just at the wooded Kingdom well [Music] we'll go back there I need to take a screenshot just in case right is doing a little cleaning has anyone seen Peach anyone at all [Music] [Music] um well I don't particularly see anything in here so that's a bit of a bummer there's something up with that portrait I don't know what to do yet with that um whoa whoa okay [Music] am I supposed uh well I'm gonna hop in here I'm gonna see if this does something ow does this make me redo the Bowser fight I think it does at least I get to see Peach that makes me feel better um hey man I I actually legit don't want to fight you again hi Peach hi tiara man I have no way to fast travel out of here or anything so I guess I have to do this fight all over again okay yeah I didn't I didn't think that doing that again would help at all so you know hello what with the cake and Stewie I've over eaten and my stomach hurts is there a doctor nearby you are not what I'm looking for Mr mustache you do not look like a doctor at all you need Dr Mario uh I will I guess be back ah I'm not a licensed Medical Professional though but I guess it'll be good enough I can't remember if I've worn my Dr Mario outfit or not yet like during this playthrough I actually don't remember but I've had it for a while now is this a cool little outfit look at me I look great I'm a doctor I'm not really a doctor don't get it I'm not smart enough for that I'm barely smart enough to play video games all right uh hey buddy you feeling better now well with the cake uh you appear to be a doctor from head to toe I've been waiting for you thank you I feel better now I didn't do anything but I like it good doctor in the house all right guys he looks so cute look at you see how happy he was all right let's um I mean since we're here and I've already found one of those Moon shards we might as well find the rest of them right okay let's see here uh I have a feeling that I'm gonna need this frog again because I think more of these are gonna be up on the church yes they are well at least good job good job good job there we go come on gotta get your act together man I like the Peach and Mario up here he's cute little kitty cat peach Kitty Cat Mario oh speaking of peach okay I'll go I'll go talk to her in a sec but I need I need the last of these shots oh there's one uh also some more purple coins if we could find them that'd be kind of cool right I'd like that excellent no purple coins but got the last moonshot [Music] foreign hi Peach hey oh dive super close I'm sorry there we go oh man you look great dude TR you are actually glowing goodness ah how y'all doing how beautiful our entire world right there in front of us I wonder where bonnington is it must look so small from here oh and this power Moon came flying in from outer space would you like it yes I would thank you Peach I've been away for quite a while now I should head back before anyone starts to worry they were worried the moment you left Peach don't you worry ah jeez all right well we're doing pretty good here actually we should take a quick tally and see where we're at I can tell you one thing we still don't have all the purple coins it's they haven't even stumbled across a one 32 out of 38 so there's only six more moons and six more coins so that's great I keep doing that but not on purpose um yeah it's going well I think we're having fun here in the Moon Kingdom and as long as everything goes right we'll be done with the Moon Kingdom on the next episode so I hope you're looking forward to that we're getting really close y'all we're getting really close and it's really exciting so I hope you're looking forward to seeing just a little bit more Super Mario Odyssey I know I'm eager to
